"Puree Artisan Juice Bar has been squeezing juices and plating healthful vegan snacks for a decade, with locations at Bethesda Row, Tysons Corner, D.C.’s Sibley Hospital, and Rockville. For detoxing, find a variety of super-food-fueled juice cleanse regimes here. The “Green Lemon-aid” with spinach, romaine, kale, cucumber, celery, lemon, cayenne pepper, filtered water, and a hint of sweet agave is a good place to start. (These shops are also a pick-up point for popular and now online-only local juice brand Jrink)." - Christine Blau, Adele Chapin, Missy Frederick, Stephanie Carter

Purée is a must part of DC living. Honestly they are a lifesaver. I love their juice and soup creations. I LOVE that they are 100% organic. (Why even juice if it’s not 100% organic? since non-organic means a high concentration of pesticides in juice, that is the opposite of healthy and healing. Purée takes the time and expense to get this right. and in glass, not plastic bottles, also important.) I love that they deliver for free. I love the pomegranate shot and the chocolate nut mylk and the pumpkin pie available all winter and the detox juice and the flora juice and ok I admit I love everything. Pictured here is the lentil and kale soup; I can’t go more than a couple days without it. I’m so thankful that for healthy and delicious options, I can turn to Purée!

Really good banana shake. Perfect for when I’m feeling hungry but don’t want to eat a full meal. Comes in real handy for those 3/4pm times.

Google
The BEST juice bar in the Bethesda area. Love love love it. I always get the Go Green! Fresh and thick smoothies 🤤🙌🏼

Google
Not a bad little place to grab some quick raw vegan food. Raw food is hard to come by sometimes. The veggie BLT looks awesome but could use a little more sauce/flavor between the bread. I also have tried the zucchini noodles with the walnut bolognese. It had a lot more flavor. I would eat here again and would like to try some of the other raw options.

Google
Super healthy juice and fun. Conveniently located near lots of shopping. Very vegan friendly.

Google
The Turmeric Shot tasted watery. I buy this weekly from Bethesda (It was magnificent) and I have noticed the last 2 weeks it has been tasting more watery than original. Quality of the product is imperative if you want to sustain retention and credibility. Fix this ASAP before my next online order. I will be back to provide a feedback after my next round. Thanks!

Andy

Google
First time trying it. It's pretty good. Mighty pricey though! Wish their single bottles of pressed juice were of glass bottles. Not a fan of plastic bottles, settling doesnt shake too good. Their shots are good. i really enjoyed the kale. Wish it had some lemon to it or cayenne.

Google
The Bethesda location has at least two employees that are disrespectful and arrogant against customers that are not White. Walking into Purée Artisan in Bethesda, I received no greeting or friendly gesture. Two employees kept talking about drama that was going on in one of the employees’ life. After picking out my juice, I stood at the register for about 45 seconds until one of the employees allow me to pay for my juice. The conversation between the two continued as one of the employees looked at me like I was contagious and disgusting. I grabbed my juice and the employee repelled back her hand. These employees need diversity and inclusion training as well as how to respectful to customers that are different from them. However, the Flora juice was delicious.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time through a delivery app. I was craving something nutritious and wholesome, and I was intrigued by the raw vegan eats on the menu. I ordered 3 items. The standout by a mile were the walnut burritos. These were deeeeeeeelicious! Perfectly seasoned and prepared, I just wish the portion size was bigger than 2 measley little wraps. I definitely could have eaten an entire plate of these things! I give this dish alone 10 stars! As for the Thai power quinoa salad, that was just "ok." Ho hum. Edible but nothing special. I've made better myself at home. Not sure what they could do to improve it, but it was missing something...maybe lime or a better dressing...that would have really kicked it up a notch. Finally, as for the "pot brownies," those were disappointing. Edible? Yes. Satisfying? No. I ended up eating one and throwing the other one away. I didn't miss it! So all in all, only 1 of the 3 items was one I'd ever order again. Even then, I have to admit I did have an upset tummy after eating it though. I think it might be because I ate the bed of greens it came on. I wasn't sure if that was just a garnish or what. But so much of the burrito filling fell onto the lettuce greens that I just ate like a salad once I'd polished off the two wraps themselves. But I have a suspicion those greens might not have been the freshest or the cleanest, in which case I'll avoid them in the future. My tummy definitely will thank me for it!

Yelp
Beware-- don't come in before close. Walked in to get a smoothie 10 minutes before their 6 pm close time and also to buy some juices. Was informed they stopped making smoothies 10 minutes before close (ummm, it was 5:51 at most). Left very disappointed! They must be doing so well they don't need sales.

Shannon A.

Yelp
Delicious and fresh juices that make you feel good! They are friendly and helpful here. A juice and a smoothie made for a perfect breakfast for me.

Yelp
I write a lot of reviews for this place because it's one of the only places I continuously go to in Bethesda. I find the majority of restaurants are not healthy and leave me feeling sick. Purée has a dragonfruit and cashew vanilla frozen yogurt that I have been grabbing during lunch- it's amazing in this heatwave and I highly recommend they keep it in stock.

Yelp
I took advantage of their New Year's sale to try a day of the Pure cleanse. I couldn't get ahold of this store on the phone to confirm details about my order, but HQ was quick to respond to my email inquiry. In-store service was efficient once I waved them out from back where they were cleaning, and I got a 10 second summary on the consumption order. A printed copy of my receipt was included in the box I was picking up. I wish the bottle return policies were made more clear, even though the fiscal value is exceeded by the environmental value. The 22 Karat juice and beet shot were the only bottles I actually liked, but the vanilla cashew milk was okay. Easy Green and ginger shot were better together than separately, but the result left little variation against the taste of the Daily Green. Both Mean Lemon-aid and Grapefruit were really intense from citric acid, so I ended up diluting them to drinkable levels, which is okay for hydration excuses. The cleanse itself reminded me that I have very tenuous willpower when it comes to food, and I chose to turn it into a two-day juice-until-dinner plan for myself. I don't recommend following my lack of guidance, as I am clearly not a nutritionist. Pricing is a little steep for me to be a regular, but I'm intrigued enough by the positive results that I'll eventually check out more of their menu: Pure Chia, Fall Greens, Strawberry Ginger Lemon-aid; orange lassi, avocado shake, gazpacho, Dreamy Grasshopper. Summer 2017 update: Bunny Brew and Choco Maca Almond Milk were letdowns, definitely wouldn't get the first one again.

Yelp
Puree Artisan Juice Bar is my go to when I am feeling unhealthy and trying to reset my body from my terrible eating habits -_- They are located on the main strip of shops on Elm Street. I have done their 1 day Pure Cleanse. It comes with - Mean Lemonaid - lemon, cayenne, alkaline water, agave (you really taste the cayenne) - Easy Green - cucumber, kale, apple, lemon - 22 Karat - carrots - Daily Green - pineapple, kale, cucumber, apple, lemon, ginger - Grapefruit - grapefruit - Vanilla Nut Mylk - almonds (or cashews depending on the day), vanilla, dates, alkaline water - Ginger Shot & Beet Shot The 1 day Pure Cleanse definitely did its job... I felt like I hit reset on my body. The process can be a bit grueling if you have never done a cleanse before... you literally drink a bottle every few hours, no food for a day! There are other cleanses that Puree offers that includes some meals if that makes you feel more comfortable... cutting out food for an entire day (or more depending on if you do a longer cleanse) isn't for everyone! The staff are very knowledgeable so you can always speak to them about your goal for the cleanse and they can make suggestions custom to what you want :) You can tell they use fresh ingredients for all of their drinks. My favorite is the Vanilla Nut Mylk, it is sweet and achieves a milky texture despite not having milk as an ingredient. I like to grab a few bottles for the week as a substitute for breakfast. I recently came here on a Monday night just before closing, I cringed when I asked if they had any Vanilla Nut Mylk left since I was really craving it and didn't see any out in the refrigerator shelves. The staff have always been so helpful and without even batting an eye they told me they would make me a fresh batch on the spot. I really appreciate their outstanding customer service and their large selection of drinks. It is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for and the quality of the drinks will speak for itself once you try it :)

Yelp
This is one my my favorite healthy spots in the city. I love that the have fresh pressed juice and smoothies along with other options to meet your hunger needs. My favorite happens to be the avacado smoothie of which I get pretty much every week and the black magic. Although I love the fact they are a healthy alternative I think they are also extremely pricey so be prepared to shell out all your dollars.

Arun M.

Yelp
I've been to several Purée locations and the avocado smoothie here is taste as good as the other locations. The price seemed to be the same as the others. I was the only person at the time so my smoothie came out at a reasonable time. Overall, good smoothie and consistent with the other locations so I would come back if I was in the area.

Yelp
Off the beaten path in terms of food offerings, this place is a juice bar that makes your organic veggies and fruits into a magic elixir. Choose your favorite blend from all greens to fruity greens to fruit juices. Great selection already made for you in the cooler/ refrigerator. Along the bottom of the cooler/ refrigerator, you'll find the pre-made food items, which yes, are expensive, but, they are pretty tasty- my favorite has to be the BLT, but you'll find me eating the collard wraps, zucchini noodles and "yogurt" (when they have it). The cauliflower risotto is tasty, too, but, I'm not the biggest fan of the olives. If you're lucky, go for the "crepe" - it's the best raw dessert in MD. Chia seed pudding is good, but, c'mon, you can make that your self! Chocolates are on the counter to buy, as well, from local artisans. In the cooler, the occasional container of "pot brownies" (made with hemp seeds - not 'active'!) is a quick fix, but keep them refrigerated. If you want a smoothie, just order and be amazed. I can't tell you which one is good, just like the juices, as I have loved everything I have ever had for the smoothies. It's just about your preference - cacao? Almonds? Fruits? Everyone says Puree is pricy, and it is, but, well, it's a choice to be here, and a privilege. So, recognize there are many other choices, but if around this area, this is my happiest (sometimes priciest) organic choice. Don't be surprised to see me here sometime soon....

Yelp
Fave juice spot, love the charcoal juice. I've been referring lots of people to come here even though I'm new here Hehehehe 10/10 recommend

Yelp
Pretty much obsessed with Puree Juice Bar! Juices: Their juice is truly unbeatable. It is the freshest juice I've ever had. It tastes like they juiced it seconds before you drink it. Smoothies: Lots of good smoothie options! My personal favorite is the Avocado Shake - soo good and creamy! Location: Location is ideally located in Bethesda Row and right next to Equinox for that post workout fuel. Overall, I can't say enough good things about this place. Definitely try at least a juice or a smoothie if you're in the area.

Yelp
I heard about this place, called to inquire about Vegan treats, was told yes in addition to the fresh, pressed juices & made my way over. Before I hung up, the employee told me, "Just so you know everything in the store is Vegan"...even better. This quaint juice bar offers minimal seating with an open space to watch your juice being made. OM-Juice...the variety was like a rainbow of fruit & veggie concoctions. Besides the normalcy of apples, berries, ginger, kale & such, they offer Young Thai Coconut, Dates, Cacao, Hemp, Chia Seeds & Matcha. In addition to the fresh juices, they offer cleansing drinks- Purity, Clear Verde & Deep Sea Detox. It's a 3 day supply that comes with a Cooler Bag & a free 1/2 hour Wellness Coaching session. How would you like a Mean Lemon-aid or Black Magic? They also offer pre-made light bites - Walnut Burrito, Asian Cucumber Roll, various Quinoa Bowls, Powered Supplements & Body Essentials. I tried the Pot" Brownie...be easy, I know I'm in MD, yet the yummy ingredients are full of non-cannabis protein, omega-3s & fiber - walnuts, hemp seed, cacao powder, dates, vanilla & sea salt...I'd absolutely pass a drug test after partaking of the consumption. I also got the Totally Rawganic's Gingered Lavender & Walnut Chocolate Bar, 72% pure...big shout out to the local Artisan for creating this delish concoction. Everything is all organic, raw, Vegan at all times. There is also a rewards program. Prices are a tad steep $11 for the one size glass jar of your preferred juice, yet worth every penny for the raw & healthy benefits. Thank you Walter, Angelo, Enrique & Yohannes as I ended up asking questions per usual & was assisted with organically friendly service.

Yelp
The best nutritious gift my friends sent me as I'm in bed dealing with covid and with no appetite for any other food! Now I'm a big fan!

Yelp
Puree is the real deal. Juice bars in Montgomery County are hard to find and Puree has nailed it. My first experience was awesome and I'll be back. I just finished a 15 day juice/raw foods cleanse so I'm happy that Puree opened its doors; it's nice to have healthier options in Bethesda. Here's the gist & a few tips: - Eco-friendly & family owned small business that supports local farmers & uses 100% organic produce. - The owner is really cool & down to earth; she leads by example & is a true inspiration (ask for Amy & she'll be happy to orient you.) - Juices are made daily and stored in thick glass containers to retain freshness; way healthier & tastier than Odwalla & Naked juices that you'd find in Whole Foods. -Try the "Easy Green" juice...it's refreshing and slightly sweet -Ask questions when you stop in for the 1st time... For example, I juice daily and I'd never heard of the method in which they extract their juice; the staff was more than happy to answer all of my questions and explain their menu options. I can't believe that someone would suggest that Starbucks or Smoothie King is a better option... obviously this person doesn't understand the concept or benefits of fresh juice. Those chain places are no comparison to Puree. There is a difference between pasteurized & fresh juice. I can tell you that after my recent 15 day juice cleanse, I felt much better. For those that don't want the fuss of juicing on their own, Puree is an excellent option :-) **** NOTE TO FELLOW YELPER THAT CLAIMS I WORK AT PUREE **** I'm not a member of Puree's staff. Also, I'd never met the owner or her staff prior to their recent opening. I'm just a health nut that embraces these types of establishments because I care about my well being.

Aarti B.

Yelp
The food is a bit too bland for me. I got the BLT which is veggie "bacon" lettuce, tomato, on flax-seed bread with hummus. The sandwich is small and lacked flavor. It was missing a few ingredrients. A healthy meal - but was left hungry with more to desire. It would have been nice if Puree sold sides to accompany the sandwiches.

Elisha M.

Yelp
Delicious and healthy! The pickup option was so smooth and easy, I was in and out literally within 10 seconds. My order was perfect - I felt nourished and refreshed afterwards. Highly recommend!

Evelina D.

Yelp
Saw this place on my way to Bethesda station and had a feeling for a healthy drink. I am not used to going to juice bars, so the first question I had for the server was whether drinks can be customized. Apparently, he either did not understand my question or felt superior to me and decided to ask if i am thinking of a specific drink i would like to customize. I said that I want a shake and would like to take a look at the menu first. I ended up ordering Berry Banana with mango and vanilla. The price shocked me quite a bit. I paid 11$ for a medium sized shake. All in all the drink didn't taste any special. No added sugars, which I like, but very bland. I couldn't taste any vanilla or mango, mostly berry, probably strawberry. The place is very small and has about 3 tables inside to sit at. Majority of people come in grab a drink and leave. If you are someone who is into expensive, healthy drinks this is a go-to for you.

Ebonie J.

Yelp
Still the best bowl in town ...the last few times they have been out of the raw granola...I hope they bring it back soon. I had the very berry bowl with cocoa on top. The service is always fast and friendly. I will continue to stop and try some of the new items.

Sung K.

Yelp
It is always exciting to see Puree Juice box at the door. We know it was freshly pressed. I love all of their green juices. I also have a high-end juicer and I know how much fresh greens and time it takes to make just one bottle. Some of the shots are bit strong tasting but I always add a bit of apple juice.

Nash P.

Yelp
I view fresh juice as a necessity. There are times, especially when I'm sick, that the idea of breaking out my juicer depresses me beyond words. On those days I walk over to the Juice bar (or if dying of fever, grubhub it). Yeah the price seems steep, but what other product can actually make you feel better when sick, and help you lose weight, or fight a hangover? Their juice is very good, though that isn't really hard to do. I'm giving them 5 stars basically because they're there and don't price gouge (ahem, Joe&theJuice) Word to the wise: avoid the activated carbon/charcoal products. Activated carbon is a miracle product, but mixing it with juice makes it less effective. Also you can buy it for about $5 a pound off amazon and mix it with water, or even in pill form.

Brad B.

Yelp
Juicing done right! Lovely cold pressed juice spot located in the heart of down town Bethesda. Perfect for a $10 smoothie after your workout at Equinox, which is right next door. The juice is fresh and the staff is knowledgeable.

April R.

Yelp
The only thing I purchase here are the juices and they're the best!! People are complaining about the price but first of all, you get what you pay for and secondly what do you expect, it's Bethesda lol! I just wish there was a location more convenient to where I live. I go here as a treat to myself so maybe it's a good thing!

Lisa M.

Yelp
I Love the product. Very fresh and tasty. Innovative flavors The customer service need attention. Bethesda Row doesn't seem to understand the rewards points system or the promotions.

J C.

Yelp
Yes it's pricey, but I'm so glad there's Puree. I never get enough vitamins and this place helps me recharge. Your health is worth it. The employees are so nice, and sometimes even give a free chaser of pineapple juice with wheatgrass shots. The place is always clean, but not too trendy. Premade juices on display range from $4 to $10. They have food like walnut burritos and flaxseed "burgers." All vegetarian. One restroom. Parking sucks - street parking or meter garage. I once went to the parking garage across the street and every single space was full. Went up and down twice and finally found one. I have never found street parking ever. They've stopped taking Belly, which really sucks because I had like 2 free wheatgrass shots! Oh well.

Patrick S.

Yelp
I ordered a 16 count, frozen juice box - $140 - which never arrived. So, I can't speak to the quality of the product - but I can speak to how the order was lost, misplaced, moved around for seven days and has never materialized. Also, there has no been response at all from this place.

Priscilla Y.

Yelp
This is my first time at an organic vegan juice bar. I didn't know what to expect so I bought a Green Goddess juice (pre-made), made of spinach, romaine, kale, cucumber, celery. This one is for cleansing and detoxing. When I first drank it, I felt like I wanted to throw up. It was not terrible, but a little weird tasting. I guess I was not ready for this healthy, pure veggie drink. hahaha I also ordered Coconut Cream. This one is for dehydration and is made mainly of blended coconut water and meat. This one is really good and refreshing for a hot day, especially after working out! I will definitely order this one again. The juice bar itself is pretty cute. While I was there, they were bringing in fresh grass to put the bar. It can be pretty pricey. It's around $9-10 each for a 16 oz. drink, but the ingredients are all vegan and organic. Additional cost if you want to add anything. I will go back to check out their other items.

Sofi N.

Yelp
I was bedridden all day yesterday & had to work this morning, so I decided to stop by Purée for a breakfast shake. My friend recommended the Vanilla Bean & I had just that. Apparently there's a national almond shortage, so they have to use fresh cashew milk to make their smoothies, as opposed to almond milk. Positives: The smoothie was very good, a nice blend of coconut and vanilla. The dates added a lightly sweet flavor. The ingredients were fresh & the shake was very filling. Negatives: Cha-Ching$ Cha-Ching$ With seemingly endless student loan debt & early retirement goals, I don't foresee myself becoming a Purée-connoisseur. I just bought a Ninja blender system, so when I'm not able to make my own smoothies, I'll definitely stop by again.

Ian M.

Yelp
I've been a Puree regular since 2016 -- at both the Bethesda and the Mosaic locations. Near-religious weekly trips have had me picking up six bottles at a time, all employed as morning meal replacements for the work week. The products have been a wonderful addition to my regimen, but as of yesterday, the regimen will have to change. After some extended travel, I returned to my routine... to find that prices had been jacked up significantly in my absence. And I mean... significantly. Like, risibly, off-the-charts ridiculous. My weekly haul would now run me $70. That's just under $12 a day for something that essentially acts as a half-measure liquid breakfast, mindlessly quaffed in three minutes as soon as I plant myself in my office. Alleged physical benefits aside, this amounts to $280 per month, and falls just short of $3400 per year. That $3400 would buy an awful lot of fresh fruit at Whole Paycheck. It could also be spent more wisely on other necessities, like shelter and socks. Previously, I found myself chewing my lip as I paid for my weekly selection, but my forced realization yesterday pushed my overall Puree experience into the realms of the absurd. These prices aren't just "steep," as some Yelpers have recently described. They are extortionate. I'd rather be a regular. A known entity. A loyal customer. Not a mark. And as of yesterday, I came to understand that I, like many others, apparently, am just that - a mark. Good luck Puree. You're either in terrific amounts of trouble, or as you've expanded your operations to national mail order, you've simply come to regard your customers as contemptible, ambulatory money bags. Whatever the reason, I'm sure my money will be considered quite good elsewhere. Toodles.

Mary Ann N.

Yelp
The ingredients are fresh and organic which if you are concerned about your health this is the place to get a smoothie or juice. There will be no artificial sweeteners added or chemicals you never heard of. The price is worth it.

Lisa S.

Yelp
The food and drink are decent. The gentleman that works there (the manager, perhaps?) provides great customer service. There is one female employee there that always seems to have a terrible attitude. For that reason, I will likely not return to this location. The latest encounter with her was yesterday, at approximately 5PM. She was behind the juice bar counter and I asked her a simple question about a product I didn't see in the case. She was very rude. I chose to walk out after her response.

Sara A.

Yelp
The juices here are good, and I feel confident that they make it with integrity of the ingredients. The food here is kind of disappointing, the zucchini pasta and the sauce is tangy, the brownies were not delicious. I would come here only for the juices.

Anna Z.

Yelp
Love this place!! It's the only place that I know of in Bethesda that has acai bowls! It's a small place but all the staff are very friendly!

Sonj H.

Yelp
I think this place is absurd. I don't like being mean but seriously! I live in LA and spend ridiculous money at fancy boutiques but $10-12 for juice? That's just silly. $12 for a small bowl of white quinoa with shredded cabbage/ carrots? When there is a great salad place a block away, with seating. Just silly!

Leonardo S.

Yelp
Puree Juice Bar has the Best Organic Juices and Foods in Metro DC area. I have been their customer for over two years. The freshness and quality of their product is unparalleled and so is the customer service and attention they provide. Amy Waldman (founder) is a very kind and generous woman who always totally goes out of her way to make sure I am happy with my orders and with the quality of the product I receive. I have tried juices from other local companies like Fruitive and Puree's are so much more rich, tastier and fresh. They just can't even compare. And the price is also so much better. I highly recommend Puree Artisan Juice Bar to anyone who is looking to make an improvement in their health. Since I began drinking their cleansing juices my bad cholesterol has plummeted and essentially disappeared and the same with other blood work parameters to the point that my doctor asked me what had I done to produce such a change. I do not like cooking or spending time cutting and washing vegetables so getting healthy is incredibly easy. They deliver to my door twice a week and all I have to do is drink, enjoy their delicious juices, and see my weight drop and my health improve. Very happy with them.

Violeta B.

Yelp
Mixed feelings. If I'm to compare it to other expensive artisan juices, I wouldn't put this one as my top choice. However, it was an okay experience. I grabbed one of the pre-packed juices from the fridge and didn't try ordering in. Nonetheless, it's great to see more juice places opening up in the Bethesda area. Definitely give it a try if you're into overpriced juices. If not, you're better off saving yourself a trip!

Carolyn C.

Yelp
I made myself do a week cleanse. Why? I have no idea. It was awful. The juice, juice bar and employees were not bad or close to awful at all, in fact they were super nice and pleasant as well as super helpful throughout the whole process. The cleanse itself was bad since all I wanted was FOOD. But that is what I SIGNED up for. Also, it was during this cleanse that I found out I was allergic to wheatgrass. So going forward, always make sure you aren't allergic to something that costs so much. Anyways.. I suffered through it since I hate wasting money. The juice was yummy, I just wish I could have a full meal between each juice (Hahaha for real!). The whole process was a mental test and I did it 100% truthfully until the last night before bed I had rice instead of my almond juice. I still come in here from time to time to purchase the juices that I love such as the Carrot juice, Green juice and my absolute favorite which is the almond milk. All very good. Just not as good as food tastes (to me at least). They do say that "nothing tastes better than skinny feels." ...Well then juice is perfect for you.

Trevor M.

Yelp
You just did a 45 minute cardio workout, you're tired, you're parched...you want a good beer, but your New Year's Eve resolution tells you that you should have something healthy. You get your drink and take that first gulp and the idea of licking a shag carpet all of the sudden is very, very appealing....and a better idea than this. The idea of a locally sustained, environmentally friendly juice bar drink sounds great. This should be your ticket to health and cleansing. This at it's core is a good idea, but bear in mind that all that environmentally friendly, locally sustainable material is going to cost you. A 16 oz. glass of juice is $10. Yes, $10. You can get shots of say...wheat grass ($4) that they do juice right there. Hmmm, shot of grass or a shot of Vodka? Vodka, can you hear me? it's Trevor and i'll never turn my back to you ever again. They do have prepared drinks ready to go, but if you want them to make it fresh for you right there....it's not going to happen. Now, I have read that some folks had to deal with waiting a long time for service. This, unfortunately is true. Juicing takes time, thus they have the pre-made ready to go drinks, but when there isn't someone at the register...you're still waiting. But, the real important question: Is it good? It is fresh, it does taste like the ingredients posted. The Carrot, Ginger juice with coconut water is appropriately named and does taste like the ingredients. Hey, you didn't answer your own question! Does it taste good? Define good? Remember as a kid your Mom made your eat your veggies and always said that it was good for you? Yeah, it's still the case...it's good for you, but you necessarily don't like it. It relies on natural sugars and flavors found in the ingredients. Some will like it, some will not. As for me, it's like licking a shag carpet and not in a good way. Overall, it's a small juice bar, limited service, can be slow with long waiting periods, expensive, but it can be good for you....In the mean time, I'll get my Juice Tiger and go on the Garth Brooks juice diet from the Weekly World News.

Yelp
Finally a juice bar in Bethesda! I loved their mean lemonade and coconut juice. I also had several shots of wheatgrass. I did not find their juice to be sour at all. I have a Breville juicer at home (I juice veggies and fruit daily) so I am quite used to fresh juice. Anyone that tells you to go to someplace like Starbucks or Smoothie King for juice has a lot to learn about nutrition! This place uses organic ingredients and it is well worth the price. My health is worth it. BTW, I am a healthcare provider, not an employee of Purée. And as you can see by the 140 reviews I have written, I am a serious yelper.

Yelp
I have been in here a few times now, either grabbing a smoothie or a juice. Basically, Puree has become my go-to when I am hungry, don't know what I want, but know that I want something good for me. I'm a big fan of their banana butter cup smoothie as well as the Choco Maca Cashew Mylk. The smoothie fills me up for hours. While the Choco Maca Cashew Mylk is the perfect solution to my hunger and sweet cravings all at the same time. It is soooo good!! The only downside is the cost, but if you want fresh, organic juices and smoothies, that does come at a cost. They have several meals and juices ready to go in the refrigerator case across from the counter. If you want a smoothie, go right to the counter and the staff are more than happy to help you out. There is both street parking and the county parking lot directly across the street ($1.00/hour during the week and free on the weekends).

Yelp
The only good thing I like about Puree is it's cute glass bottles. Aside from that, we did not have a very good experience picking up our goods or tasting them. We were looking for a post-Thanksgiving cleanse and the lady helping us didn't really know much about the differences between each cleanse set. She just repeated the names and types of corresponding juices, which wasn't helpful since there were so many with no descriptions of what is contained in each or why each cleanse is made the way it is. She then asked me for my contact info for when to pickup the cleanse, but I wanted to walk out of the store immediately. She walked over to grab bottles on the stands and had to keep referring to the sheet to compile the boxes. Then, she grabbed her co-worker who gave us 2 desserts and a salad without explanation. Something's not right there. If I'm paying so much for a cleanse that tells me I'm getting an entree, salad or dessert, I don't want to be gipped items, and on top of that be forced to SHARE a salad with the second set. A drink was substituted since it was sold out -- that's fine, but again, no explanation as to why that substitute was picked. We tried the juices and they were all eh. The lemon aid had an overdose of cayenne...you only need a little hint of spice, not a heaping of it to burn. Other than that, it was OK. The other juices were horribly balanced. It seems like there was no care about the ratio of the ingredients going in there. Sweet and muted...think of a lychee juice, without the fragrance. Like....liquid syrup, almost. We didn't finish a few bottles. I can just juice random greens together at home too. I've paid for an expensive cleanse before--and it was worth every penny, balanced with just the right amount of carrots to beets to apples etc. This, was not. This was a juiced mishmash. The desserts were disappointing, and the consistency seemed old. Alfalfa salad was not bad. Maybe the fresh made juices that you order are better, but for the juice cleansing set: not worth it.

Yelp
I really don't understand why I even tagged along with a friend to buy a $10 juice for the Daily Green the size of a 16 fl oz Coke bottle. (I could've actually made it taste better) Yes, the juices are healthy and good for you & you are what you eat. But damn, for the value and the crappy service, save yourself from this place and buy 2 organic fruits/veggies at whole foods and make it yourself or message me & if I'm free, I'll make it for you. smh

Yelp
the wheat grass shots are $4.00/shot and comes with orange slices as chasers. The shots were sweet and not bitter at all. Minimalist interior. Friendly and knowledgable staffs. Also a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

Yelp
Disappointed. My wife and I have been purchasing juices from Purée for 6 years. Over this time we have been using the Belly app. My wife usually doesn't check in since she doesn't have the app. Anyway, I dropped in today to buy three more green juices. I was informed that they no longer support the Belly app. We had accrued a lot of points and now they are useless. Upon checkout the cashier asked me to sign in to their new loyalty program. I refused. Why should I do that? As soon as we accrue the points worth redeeming, they will likely end the program making those new points useless again. We will start getting our juice at another location.

Yelp
I was intrigued by this new juice bar that popped up in Bethesda Row and decided to get a refreshing drink after a meal at Raku. I ordered the Orange Lassi, which was primarily almond milk, oranges, coconut, and some other spices. I mean the drink was OK tasty, but at $10, I was expecting a drink cultivated from Zeus's private garden in Mount Olympia. I would not come here again; I don't know how their business model will work if they have to rely on this type of insane pricing.

Yelp
Nice people and great juice! Excited to learn about their loyalty program, and delivery service. Recycle bottle for a nice discount on future orders - good stuff!

Yelp
I want to start off by saying thank you to everybody that gave this low starts and constructive criticism because I just stopped by and it was fantastic! So if there was something wrong with this place it is no longer an issue. Now into my juice I got a mango tango smoothi/purée, two juices, and two water elixirs. Total 36 which is much cheaper then I had expected seeing some prior reviews. Anyways, taste, I live in downtown Bethesda and drinking home maybe take 3-5 minutes from here and my mango tango was almost done! It was so delicious! Naturally because that was so good I had to try my juice blends. I am sipping on the lemon aid and it is equally as good. I am a little skeptical about the daily green juice I got but hey they are two for two right now so I wouldn't care. If I wasn't a broke college student with a pooch that fed better then most students I would come here everyday multiple times a day!!

Yelp
I've stopped in for juices and shakes several times and really loved the taste and the way Puree's products make me feel; so when I decided I needed a reset to my eating habits, I decided to give them a go! I chose the three-day juice til dinner cleanse - three juices and a nut milk, then a healthy dinner - and I really love it. I'm on my first day, and I loved all the juices! Even the green juice wasn't as bad as others I've had before. I really appreciate the glass bottles, the integrity of the product, and the friendliness of the employees :)

Yelp
Quality is good but a bit on the expensive side but worth it. They no longer offer pineapple juice with the wheatgrass shots. You can now only get orange juice as option on the side even though there's an additional fee. You would think a place charging as much as they do would give the customer the choice in which type of juice they would like. The employees are very friendly and pleasant.
