The Best Holiday Bar and Restaurant Pop-Ups and Events in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"For the season, this spot has transformed into Santa’s Detour. Enjoy spirited cocktails, including a Yippee-Ki-Yay Mother Fluffer (mezcal and toasted marshmallow syrup), Someone Special (a gin or vodka martini with rosemary-infused vermouth), mulled wine, and more — plus bites." - Courtney E. Purple is amazing. I have been here countless times and keep coming back. They have a very cute place, with kind people, and delicious food! I would love to eat everything on the menu, plus this menu is slightly different from the downtown location! This place is great to celebrate a birthday, have a girls night, date night, or even a solo dinner! This new location is very cute and I can’t get enough of it! Instagram - Madeline’s_Dines

Purple Cafe was a nice experience. Parking is on the street, which at times can be a challenge. The wait staff were polite and attentive to our needs. The drinks and food were tasty and enjoyable. A diverse menu that offers options to all diners. Had an enjoyable time and won’t hesitate to return next time I’m in the area.

The service was excellent, and the food was both delicious and fresh. We enjoyed the lovely weather while sitting outdoors. On Wednesday, we opted for the pizza, pasta, and a bottle of wine set, which totaled $65. Just a heads-up: there is a 4% surcharge added to the bill. Overall, a great experience!

The most fun you will have at this location of Purple is the circuitous route you will be sent on just to find the restrooms...and don't forget to look for the codes. Went there with my son and wife after his class at the Divers Institute just down on the Lake Union Waterfront and would gladly return for more. We were attended to by Sydney who was absolutely delightful and very attentive. Their happy hour menu is really a good value and their HH Old Fashion was very close to perfect. I gave high marks in all categories and really do mean it. I just wonder if patrons who share the "porch swing" sitting option if they get annoyed by each other when they are trying to cut through a steak and the whole bench starts vibrating? Really the place is layed out great with a metric ton of seating options. We chose to sit outside and we're really comfortable in the shade. I don't know about parking as we walked from the institute but I'm sure there are plenty of options in the neighborhood.

We love their spicy prawn frites. The sauce is incredibly flavorful. However, we wish the dish included more shrimp and fewer fries, or even better, replaced the fries with some bread to soak up the sauce. The happy hour menu offers some great options. The drinks were decent; we had the Old Fashioned and margaritas. The ambiance and service were both lovely, and the location is excellent.

Google
I considered giving Purple 3 or 4 stars but had to elevate to 5 for one simple reason: they randomly have THE BEST PIZZA I've had in Seattle. Simply fantastic! Will be back for the pizza and wine.

My boyfriend and I came for a late dinner this evening and got the two grilled cheese meals pictured. Alexander (our server) as well as the chef that evening were absolutely amazing. My boyfriend wasn’t aware they’d added bacon jam when he asked for stripped bacon and they immediately corrected the meal and were overly kind whilst doing so. We had a great night and appreciate this location going above and beyond for their guests. The employees here are definitely made for customer service! thanks again to Alexander for the great date night! We will be back. 10/10 recommend.

This is a beautiful restaurant. So much atmosphere and seating availability. The food was great. The chopped salad is something I crave now.

Yelp
We went here for Father's Day, and everyone really enjoyed their food. I had the Chunky Avocado salad and loved it so much. It contained a wonderful combination of textures: soft avocado, crunchy quinoa and pepitas, plus frisée. I was worried it wouldn't be enough food, but it was surprisingly filling after sharing a cheeseboard. The server was knowledgeable about wine and shared a recommendation to pair with the avocado salad. It was lovely. I would definitely come back here. It's a good place to keep in mind for dinners with extended family.

Yelp
My favorite happy hour in Seattle. My husband and I have been here many times (both for happy hour and regular dinner) and I look forward to it each time. The location is great, as it sits right between Wallingford and Fremont and is easy to walk or bus to from the north side of the canal (there is a bus stop right across the street). The service is impeccable- the servers are always prompt to take our drinks and food order, and are always happy to provide recommendations. They always swing by just before the end of happy hour to make sure we can get any orders in before happy hour ends. One thing to note is happy hour is only Monday - Friday until 5:30 PM- would love to see this extended to Sundays! As for the food, their happy hour cheesy bread and mini pizza is to die-for and perfect for sharing. Their regular size pizza is also delicious and allows for leftovers (and who doesn't love a giant mozzarella ball featured on their margherita pizza!). Their menu is also pretty diverse with fish, meats, and pastas in addition to the pizzas, but my favorite part is the in-line drink pairing recommendation- particularly when I'm feeling indecisive about choosing between beer and wine. For dessert, the tiramisu is great because it's big enough to split between multiple people and really balances the espresso and cream levels well. Ultimately, I highly recommend for just about any occasion: after-work happy hour, date night, drinks with friends, or nice family dinner.

Yelp
Solid place to have some good food and drinks. Really good pizza and of course their baked Brie. Full bar and friendly service.

Yelp
This is my favorite location that Purple has. It's very cozy and is always busy! Their food is always delish, I always go for their pizza or pasta, you can never go wrong! Additionally, their crème brûlée is such a great dessert option, a classic and delicious! I've been here too many times to count! A great place to celebrate birthdays!

Yelp
Great food and service. As fans of the downtown Purple Cafe location, we were not disappointed.

Yelp
I've always loved Purple Cafe & Wine Bar, the food is delicious and atmosphere is so lovely! I just recently went for brunch and everything was amazing. Loved the Short Rib Hash and the Mimosa Duo! The Eggs Benedict also looks amazing, I'll be trying that next time! Service was super friendly too!

Yelp
Wow!! Just great food! But the worst service ever! Sad restaurant that has several locations! Total lack of people! Front to back!

Yelp
We came here Mother's Day and had a great brunch! Food was really good. Majority of places on Mother's Day end up being overly booked and pricey but this was somewhat of a last minute reservation and had great ambiance.

Yelp
I've been to this Purple location 3 times so far this year. It's such a pleasure to have an established Northwest restaurant in my neighborhood. The service is excellent, from greeting to bill. And a manager is always on the floor: viewing, helping, bussing, etc. I know this is a sign of a good business. I want to particularly recognize Sammie as a fabulous employee. She's gregarious, engaging, knowledgeable about wine, and efficient. We can't wait to come back and sit on the patio!

Yelp
A welcome addition to the neighborhood. Good food, service, and atmosphere, definitely will be coming back. Had the avocado salad, vodka fusilli, pizza with hot honey and cured meat, spicy shrimp appetizer (tip: ask the kitchen to make this into a main by adding pasta, will absolutely be doing it next time). Having their wine specialist on hand that night and executive chef coming out to greet us were very nice touches, customer delighter that up leveled the whole experience. Great for a date night, celebrations, catching up with friends, or wanting a nice meal or coming in for some wine or a drink.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food and really great service at this fun restaurant. We ate there before when it was Fiasco, which we loved, but this new place is awesome. Only suggestion would be to add at least one chocolate cake or cookie option on the dessert menu. The tiramisu and sea salted caramels are great, but we were craving chocolate cake.
