"At the Purple Café and Wine Bar, the 120-bottle wine list is stocked in a visually striking tower. The downtown Seattle location originated in nearby Woodinville in 2001 debuting this location in 2022." - Tim Newcomb

"Capacity: 24 (36 standing) The semi-private loft that overlooks the rest of the dining room at Purple will make everyone happy if you have lots of people to please. The diverse menu has everything from bolognese to pot pie, and the wine list is longer than the opening text crawl of Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith." - Aimee Rizzo

We had a wonderful dinner at Purple Café in Woodinville last night! I took my husband out, and everything from start to finish was excellent. I had the mushroom pappardelle al pesto—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. My husband ordered the free-range chicken Marsala, and he couldn’t stop talking about how good the sauce was. The highlight, as always, was the baked Brie—an absolute must every time I visit. Warm, creamy, and indulgent, it never disappoints. Our server, Dillan, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. He recommended a glass of Auntsfield Sauvignon Blanc (Marlborough, New Zealand) that paired beautifully with my meal. I’ll definitely be asking for it again. The only downside was the noise—a big party was seated nearby and the music was a bit loud—but even with that, the overall experience was still great, and we will be back!

Went to Purple and loved it! We were greeted by several employees and immediately felt welcomed and seen. Service is up to a very high standard, as well as food quality and presentation. The music was a bit loud outside but the seating inside seemed more quiet. The vegan options were delicious and I will be back again to try more menu items. They even had vegan donuts for dessert! My group was a big fan of the baked brie and chicken marsala as well. Highly recommend!

Honestly, this place is a nice little wine bar- if your into wines, and that type of atmosphere, this would be a great place for you. I just wasn’t too impressed with the cooking of the steak I had, and the fries were very over-cooked. This could be more the style…so I don’t want to be too harsh…it just wasn’t my style. The staff tho was very nice, helpful and friendly.

Purple delivered a very good dining experience. The spicy shrimp and Dungeness crab pasta were rich in flavor, and the wines paired well with the dishes. While the number of vegetarian options has not improved since our last visit in 2022, and the menu remains largely the same, the ambience and vibe make it a great spot for a date.

Had a higher expectation. I was here for steak. Specifically asked for medium rare and more on the rare end. However, it turned out to be medium well to well done. The steak quality was okay like choice level. The execution wasn’t good. Wine was good tho. Based on the price of the steak ($65). I expected a much higher precision. Service was fine. The waiter didn’t check in after the steak was delivered. Other than that, nothing special.

Great little place in Woodinville. Service was top notch. Atmosphere was nice but a little crowded. Tables are very close to one another. The appetizer was nice. Caesar salad was very good. Steak was flavorful and cooked well but one major problem- there was a couple of large muscle fibers. Made it hard to cut, hard to chew and hard to enjoy. What saved the meal after that? The crime brûlée was incredible.

Had brunch here with my girlfriends before wine tasting in Woodinville. I loved seeing that we could order pasta before Noon! Every dish was delish and full of flavour. Service tends to be slower, so expect to stay awhile and enjoy it.

Went for a late evening dinner for 2.. expected a crowd and made reservations, but the place was quie and empty. The food and wine were excellent as usual. Baked Brie ( the philo dough was a tad overdone on the top). Clam chowder was a tad watery than we expected, but had the right flavors. The purple chopped salad with chicken was yummy!!! Wines - the pino noir and the can souv were in point. :) This is a fave joint and we'll definitely come back.
