Purple Door Ice Cream

Tremendously delicious ice cream. So many people want to try custard when they come to Milwaukee, but I encourage you to check out Purple Door ice cream. Their ice cream is absolutely fantastic and there’s such a nice variety of flavors. The staff is very customer oriented and will be glad to provide you with a sample taste of any of their flavors. Staff is also great at making recommendations.

Purple Door Ice Cream is amazing! One of the highlights is being able to watch the ice cream being made right through the glass window—it was such a fun and unique experience. The staff were very friendly, and the ice cream itself was high quality, not overly sweet, and generously packed with fresh ingredients. With so many flavors to choose from, every bite felt special. Just thinking about the visit brings back such a joyful memory, and I can’t wait to go again!

The ice cream was delicious - I especially enjoyed the one with local cherries and the Old Fashioned flavor, and even the plain vanilla was excellent. The girls working there were very friendly, explained the flavors, and made the visit such a pleasant experience. Thank you for the great mood!

Great ice cream and flavors. We had Door County cherry chocolate chip and salted caramel. Both were good. Plenty of free samples to decide. Gave a 5 because taste, flavors and service were all excellent. Do wish they’d let us sit inside when it’s so hot and humid.

Made Purple Door Ice Cream our last stop in the city before heading home. They offer some more untraditional flavors of hand dipped ice cream. The scoops were pretty generous. It was good ice cream, but not necessarily a place I'd say you have to go to, especially in Wisconsin where there is plenty of good ice cream everywhere you turn.

Fabulous!!! I had Door Co Cherry with dark chocolate chunks and waffle crumbs on top. Ranks as best ice cream in our books! Our family enjoys a treat of ice cream when we get together visiting our children out of state.

Purple door offers a variety of fun ice cream flavors with ones for people with dietary restrictions as well. I was excited to see the fun flavors they had that were vegan/ non-dairy. I tried the purple moon which was their version of blue moon. It was delicious! They have a lot of nice outdoor seating perfect for enjoying your ice cream on.

This was our "late night" snack vendor for our wedding and they were amazing! Our tasting meeting with them was so fun, and they were a hit at our actual wedding! Everyone who had some ice cream told me they loved it, and everyone who didn’t said they wished they did!
