This. Place. Is. Awesome.
We visited twice in two weeks - the first time was a birthday get-together for our friend Erin, and we spend a wonderful, snuggly 30 minute slot playing with some affectionate kitties. The lounge is clean and brightly lit, and there's nary a whiff of the litterbox- all the food, water, and kitty facilities are located behind a curtain. What's in the lounge are places to sit, copious amounts of cat toys, and furrniture for the kitties to climb and bask upon.
While you're here, you can order some kitty-themed coffee drinks to be brought in for you by one of the staff- I'm not a coffee achiever but my wife certainly loved hers. We had a great time and a very hard time not wanting to take half a dozen kitties home with us.
A week later we came back with both our kids. Our son - well, he's a dog person - but our daughter was visited by a little orange tabby boy who jumped into her lap, laid down, and started purring. He stayed in her lap almost our entire visit, when he did get up, he nuzzled my wife, my son, and myself.

So... we weren't actually in the market for another pet. We have two kitties and two puppers already. But this wonderful, snuggly little boy and my daughter Kaylee bonded immediately. She talked about him all the way home. It was fate. We filled out an adoption application - and let me tell you, they make sure you're going to take good care of their kitties - and we waited. We got approved, and were told when we could pick up our little boy. Back to South Austin (we live in Round Rock) and we got to meet our furry adoptee - and he walked right into our cat carrier all by himself. We had to coax him back out to take a picture for Purr-Fecto's adoption album.
A few moments later and we were off to his forever home. He was so calm and cool during our long, traffic-ridden ride back up Mopac to Round Rock. He's been here for a little over a day now, and he's been snuggly and playful with all of us - though he's still yet to mix with his new furry brother and sisters. We'll take it slow and easy with that - we're old hands at this.
Me? I was thinking after we lost our German Shepherd Duke back in September we'd wait a while longer before considering another pet, but our little kitty picked us. He stayed with my wife and I last night to keep him sequestered from the other pets until they get used to each other's scent, and he picked me to snuggle up with. He curled up between my knees and purred the night away. I think he's already pretty happy here - and we're happy to have him.
We heartily recommend Purr-Fecto Cat Lounge. Well, three out of four of us do - my son thinks there should be a puppy lounge. And maybe there should. But as much as he wants to say he's a dog person - I caught him snuggling our new fur baby when he thought we weren't paying attention.
