There's so much to say about this café. First and foremost is what they do to help our furry feline friends. They go above and beyond for these little ones. Second, the atmosphere here is one of love and happiness. Sharing a delicious cappuccino while spending quality time with these adoptable cats is so much fun! Keep in mind, reservations are required for cat time but not to just sit and watch through the beautifully paned windows. Coffee and incredible treats are always available. There's a lot of attention and care that goes into this place and the staff shows it. Of all the coffee shops I've been to, this one immediately stole my heart and soared to my number one spot!!

I love visiting this cat cafe. This is the happiest place in town. Cats and coffee two of my favorite thing all in one. Inside is very clean, I never detect the odor of litter or feces. Cafe attendants are very kind and polite. They are willing to educate customers about cats. I always order latte and pastry, totally spoiling me time.

People were so accommodating and welcoming. Loved the concept and layout of the cafe. We got to hang out with 4 cats available for adoption and had the whole place to ourselves to get comfy with the cats. Will definitely go back when they get new kitties for adoption. What a wonderful way to get to meet and interact with the cats personalities. And the staff were beyond our expectations.

While traveling to drop my daughter at college, we stopped here for a stress break and some kitty time. Such a sweet idea to be a no-kill shelter and help get these kitties adopted. And fun to pay the fee for visitation to help the cause. We enjoyed some beverages and played with the cats for 30mins. At 1pm on a Wed we had the room to ourselves. And the cafe and gift shop have lots of cute and creative things to explore. Bathrooms available. Places to sit available in the cafe area as well as in the kitty interaction room.

If you love cats, you will love Purrington's! The design of the lounge is amazing and the price to visit is reasonable. The cafe is set up so that you can order food and drinks (from coffee to beer) and hang out without having to enter the cat area, which has huge windows for your viewing pleasure. You can also bring your food/bev into the enclosure, so that's nice, too! If you're looking to adopt a socialized cat, Purrington's is here to help! All the cats at the cafe are up for adoption. Checkout the website before you visit to see who is currently in residence.

Nice place. Some of cats are sleepy, but I guess it depends.. Some are really friendly. You need to pay for an hour visit like 7-10$ per person and can take some food or beverage. I tried a herbal tea, was really good. Recommended place specially if you pet lover but don't have yours for some reason.

Google
I’ve never been to a cafe like this before! It’s neat being able to sit around a bunch of cats, play with them, and support a good cause. These cats are up for adoption. It was only 5$ for 30 min or 8$ for an hour to chill with them. Most of the cats are more interested in the toys and not me but I got to pet a few. I’m glad they have gluten free and their tea selection has nice herbals.

Great place to hang out and chill with cats! Sofia in the cat lounge was super friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful with the cats. Protip, get the cheese plate and pretzel to maximize cheese distribution. 😎

Yelp
I would hands down recommend Purrington's to anyone who likes cats. The food and drinks are wonderful and you can come and enjoy those and view the cats through the window, but if you go online and plan a time, you can go into the cat room and spend 45 minutes with their adoptable cuties! You can even bring your purchased food and drink in with you. They provide cat toys, treats, and any information you could hope to know on each cat. There are common sense rules about not picking up the cats and asking before petting a sleeping cat. I got an iced chai and a cat cookie and it cost $8 which I think is pretty reasonable. I honestly regret that I didn't try the lemon earl grey cookie, but I just couldn't get past how cute the cat cookie was! The staff are all incredibly friendly. My friend and I had a reservation and then sat in the cafe after to finish our drinks, but since a couple folks with the next reservation didn't show up, they offered to let us go back in with the cats until they came! I was honestly so surprised by the offer and thought it was so generous. Please go and visit these adorable adoptable kitties! Or just for a snack. I know I'll be back!

Yelp
This cat cafe has a great lay out, it's very bright with natural light with the many windows and spacious for the cats, and because of the windows, other people can watch the cats from the cafe area. The workers are very nice and helpful. The cats are even better! They were playful and super cute. They have a pretty good menu consisting of coffees to teas to alcohol. They have baked good from local shops, as well as souvenirs!

Misan H.

Yelp
Such a cute cafe! Drinks and snacks were good. They had some vegan options which is always a plus!!! Most cats were sleeping when we went but cats will be cats, can't tell them what to do. I do wish they were a bit more active so we could play with them but none the less still cute!!

Elle J.

Yelp
I had a solid visit getting some strange cat on the side during my trip to PDX. Mind you, I won't be telling my main kitty Sophia about this little dalliance. Mostly because it was worth a visit but it's not enough for me to become an out and out thing. It could be the crazy wait (where with your face pressed up against the glass you can watch others gleefully enjoy being among the cats) or I just get a lotta good kitty at home... The sweets here are pretty tasty, and the cats seem to have a fun time. If they want to go they are free to retire. I get kinda jealous when others get more cat time than me but I've always been a bit greedy. Come by and see if you can find love (the cats are adoptable), get a little petting action on the side (I won't tell), or you just crave a good cat shaped cookie!

Aaron D.

Yelp
We loved our visit. There were 10 super cute cats. Great coffee and super friendly staff. Really clean and neat place. They limit the number of people with the cats. Reservations highly recommended. A great place for cat lovers!

Amalia H.

Yelp
I love the cats and all. My son loved the cat cookies. The cats were very playful and cute. I recommend being ready right on time. We ran late and lost out on 15 minutes of our scheduled time with the cats and there was no extension.

Mercy V.

Yelp
I love this little cafe! There's a large walled-off area for the cats that are up for adoption. You can watch them at play through the windows as you enjoy your coffee, or book time to visit with the cats. All I've tried is their coffee-an oat milk iced mocha that was one of the best mochas I've ever had! Their menu is small but the offerings looked tasty. Fun place that also does good work in adopting out cats to good homes. To date over 900 of them!

Jenny M.

Yelp
First of all who doesn't love coffee/mimosas/wine/beer? Plus food which I didn't try yet, but I will be back! So add those wonderful treats in with the friendliest, most relaxed cats ever (Mochi, don't worry you will get there)! The staff were also very friendly! The person we had in the cat room, answered all of our questions and knew a lot about these cats. This place is amazing and you can find and adopt your best cat friend as well! This is heaven. It's well worth the $12 entry/reservation fee, plus it goes to caring for the cats! Now go! These sweet kitties need you!

Yelp
My 8 year old has been begging to visit this kitty cafe ever since we have heard about it. We finally had a chance to come visit this spot some time ago and here is how it went: We absolutely loved the ambience of this place - it was relaxing, bright and open. Upon arriving, staff informed us of how this worked, including how much we have to pay to spend time in the cat lounge. We chose to stay for half an hour, and we ordered a coffee and a cheese platter before entering the lounge. It was a great experience, we sat ourselves in a corner in the lounge (it wasn't a particularly busy day) and the little one went to explore and played with the cats. She totally had a blast! It was definitely a unique spot to hang out and spend time in. Admittedly, I didn't enjoy my coffee all that much and the items were pretty overpriced overall. It would definitely be good for newcomers to know about the fees for being in the cat lounge, since that was a piece of information I wish we knew earlier before ended up spending more than we budgeted for the day. The concept of this business has a good cause and I definitely will return for more kitty time!

Lonnie J.

Yelp
Purringtons Cat Lounge is a very nice place to meet up with Friends, either Human or Furry. You can buy drinks and snacks, and sit with the Kitties in the Cat Lounge. There is a fee for making reservations to spend time with the Kitties Whisker to Whisker. However it's free to sit at a table outside the Cat Zone and watch the fun.

Connie C.

Yelp
Love this place! Brought my cat men , 10 year old boys...cat playground! Used the Chinook book buy one get one free coupon, so $10 for two people for an hour. They were running a special of $7/hour since there were only 6 cats. They have staff in the rooms that will explain that the cats are all up for adoption! What a great way to get to know their personalities! Yummy hot chocolate with meow written on it. Friendly staff. The only downside is the limited parking on MLK. Go behind in the neighborhood for parking. There's a food pod close for snacks afterwards! In the cafe, if you just sit, you'll be sure to get a lap cat! So fun!

Edward O.

Yelp
Super chill. Always look for Cat Cafes when on travel. Place is awesome and should be categorized also under Unique Experiences. =^..^=

Howard J.

Yelp
I agree with most of the other reviews. Must be tough to run a business like this. Cats have minds of their own, I understand that, but when I'm paying to hang out with them and somebody tells me not to pick one up, I'm out. I also think if you spend 10+ bucks in the cafe, you should be able to visit the cats for free. Probably great for kids.

Lauren F.

Yelp
Awesome business | Cute cats $ I took my husband here because he absolutely loves cats. It was such a treat for him! This is seriously such a neat idea -- have a beer and eat some snacks while chillin' with some cats! We paid $10 to hang out with cats for 30 min. The money goes towards a good cause. This is one way to help these kitties find good homes too. **TIP: it's encouraged to call ahead of time because they can get pretty busy. Ask if they're busy and if you should schedule an appointment. Lucky for us, we came at a slow hour. They sell a bunch of random cat themed items. The lounge space was fun. You can sit down and pet the cats or play with them with the provided toys. You can't pick any of them up and hold them, unfortunately, but it was nice to see them. Parking is on the street or in their private small lot in the back.

Parker W.

Yelp
I love cats. I see myself in them. I see them in me. I try to holler at cats on the streets. They don't trust me. A place like Purrington's is great because it gives you a place to drink a beer and hang out with cats. In Cleveland we have an event called the Cat Crawl. It is like a bar crawl but it is set up to go drink at different houses and apartments with a different featured cat at each stop. This weekend is the first Cat Cruise. It will be cruising in cars to different cats. I cannot wait. Purrington's is a blessing. Ooh, baby, do you know what that's worth? Ooh, heaven is a place on earth They say in heaven, love comes first We'll make heaven a place on earth Ooh, heaven is a place on earth

Jane K.

Yelp
This is a lovely place. It's clean, there are lots of kitties to enjoy being around, and they just happen to have tasty treats to boot! It's a shame people are complaining about the fee. If they read the website they would understand that this isn't some place trying to turn a profit, they are just trying to cover expenses and be a support for the main adoption center. I'm also disappointed to hear that people didn't like that they didn't have the interactions with the animals they wanted. Have you met a cat before? If you want a trick pony you are at the wrong circus.

Lex J.

Yelp
Wow, in about a year they have single handedly helped get almost 200 cats adopted! Now I'm not a big cat person but that is just awesome! The employee said currently half of their cats are already spoken for. This is a great concept. Don't have time to have a cat but enjoy playing with them? Then swing by this spot for a purrfect time fur you! There's a bar. They've got beer on tap which surprised me, but we are in Portland. The workers are really nice. They've got some nifty cat stuff for sale like cat socks, not socks for cats but socks with cats. The play area is pretty big. I think they allow 15 ppl max for the cats' comfort. They have a laser you can use, tons of cat toys, cat beds, and a big cat wheel which is pretty cool. There's a bunch of little sitting areas for the humans. All in all I think it could be a little less expensive but they do have to be able to keep it running so I get it. I guess if you just did it once in a while it's more cost effective than owning one. My daughter enjoyed it and in the end that's all that mattered

Bella G.

Yelp
my family and i stopped in on a friday afternoon before my brother had to leave town and the owners were so incredibly nice! it didn't even occur to us to make a reservation but they were kind enough to let my brother sit with the cats for a prorated amount of time! they also answered some questions we had about the bus system and how to get to the airport! we ordered a latte and ipa beer while we sat and read and they were excellent. super nice owners with adorable and very clean place! will definitely be coming back in the future!

Helen F.

Yelp
The gentleman at the counter really went out of his way helping us enjoy our experience. However, everyone was very welcoming, informative and clearly loved cats. The cats seems very well cared for and in an appropriate environment with areas to escape human interaction if desired. We came in not knowing how this place worked or ran and the fellow at the counter was friendly and was very accommodating for a group not knowing how things ran. 10/10 recommend.

Chris F.

Yelp
I loved the Concept of a Cat Cafe as I cannot adopt at this time. I agree with other reviews that for us (Family of 4) it was $24 for 1/2 hour just to hang out & pet Cats (Your refrained from holding them) I feel that they should maybe charge 1 drink minimum/person instead. Also noted, most of the Cats were Asleep, so it made the experience less exciting. The Place however was very Clean & Did not smell (Cat Stuff) which was awesome!!

Jessica C.

Yelp
I came into Portland for two weeks on military orders and left my two kitties home so I decided to visit Purrington's Cat Lounge to get a kitty fix in. I paid $15 for my hour in the lounge and a delicious medium hot cocoa and it was well worth the money. They had 14 cats in the lounge tonight and the guy in there knew all of them by name and what they liked! The place is adorable and clean and doesn't smell like cat. I'm very happy with my visit and so grateful for the kitty cuddles!

Deb F.

Yelp
This cafe is a great idea, and in the short time they've been open, they've adopted out 14 cats! It's so much better to get a sense of a cat's personality when you can interact with them in a home-like setting and not a shelter/cage. I'm happy for the work they're doing and partnering with Cat Adoption Team is awesome. The cats in residence when I visited were fresh and ready to play, since we had the first appointment of the day. I could see where by the end of the day, the cats might be worn out and ready for quiet time. Same with mid-afternoon, which is usually cat nap time. But we had a great time playing with the cats there that day, and I discovered that 3 of the cats we played with got adopted the next day. Woo hoo! The space for the cats is pretty small, and when you get 10 people in there, you have to be very careful not to step on a kitty. The staff is knowledgeable about the cats, and were fun to chat with. I had some deviled eggs (yum) and a black cat cookie (also yum). I had to be careful because Tang kitty was intent on sharing with me! All in all, a fun hour spent.

Sarah C.

Yelp
If you identify yourself as a Cat Lady, this is the place for you! Friendly kitkats will chase a laser provided to you, chill next to you on a sofa, and maybe beg for some of your nachos. Beware folks with allergies... or those who can't resist scooping up and squeezing a catter - not allowed. 30mins was more than enough time for me. Park all the way around behind the store so you don't get ticketed.

Virlie B.

Yelp
It seems that the other reviewers who have not enjoyed their visit here, expected way too much, from cats. They are cats. They will come out and play with you on their time, not yours. That's with every cat I have ever met. I absolutely enjoyed myself here. I've been here 3 times now, and all 3 times, I've really only interacted with these cats for total of 10 minutes. I just sit in any of their comfy sofas, read my kindle, drink my coffee and wait for one of them to come to me. And I LOVED it. Playing with cats without having to clean their litter box is a godsend. I also love that all of these cats are adoptable. This people are doing such a good job with these cats, I'm a big fan. If you've never been, please check this place out. And if you're in the area, drop by!

Cam W.

Yelp
No coronavirus here. Break the cabin fever and come play with cats. Shoshana will take care of you!

Emma M.

Yelp
Love the idea, love the staff, did not love the experience. I was very disappointed because when I got there, there weren't enough cats for everyone to play with. There were too many people trying to play at the same time. I left 5-10 minutes into my reservation because I was just sitting there watching people play with the cats. To improve the business they need to either not have as many people in the cat room or they need to get more cats. It's not really fair to everyone when there aren't enough cats. Very saddened. I was really looking forward to this. Not worth the $12.

Fiona L.

Yelp
A very cool concept. We lucked out because usually reservations are encouraged as it can be fully booked. You pay by half or full hour. $5 for 30 minutes, $8 for hour. I wouldn't have mind the full hour but cats weren't my hunny's thing. This is not the first cat lounge in the states. There's a few located in California, Washington and New York. However, Portland is the first to serve alcohol. Getting drunk with cats. Just kidding. I'm sure they stop serving you after that point. Anyways, I opted for a meow-mosa ^_^ Our reserved cat time was from 7 to 7:30pm. We had four other people join us. The lounge was in a separate room. I had a crazy imagination that the room would be filled with hundreds of cats. I know that's a bit much, but a girl can dream right? Make sure to sanitize your hands before entering. In the room there's about 3 obvious cats you see. Not the most active, but they were lounging it. There's a girl inside that monitors the room and frequently lures the cats hiding in the other room. As mentioned, not all are active and some can be grumpy too (Watch out for them paws!). My favorite was this black Garfield cat ^_^ Although not the hundreds of cats I was expecting, it was the perfect amount of cats in one room. ***After all, cats should not be subjected for our entertainment This was a great alternative to adoption centers. Environment is very comfortable and you are welcomed to come back. Even if not interested in adoption, it's really just a place to relax. Work on your laptop, read, sip on coffee or booze or take pictures. I admit though, it's pricey and time goes by fast. If only it could be cheaper, hehe. Most importantly, the cats seem very happy. Clearly this place treats them well with a clean living environment, food and lots of toys to play! I loved how the room was filled with various cat toys and even board games (Exploding Kittens!) I would love to have more of these in the Bay Area although the girl mentioned there was one in Oakland. This way, cats would be adopted much more frequently :) And we all know cats deserve some loving, too. "less than three" Fifi

Yelp
I love the concept: drinking and getting to pet cats. I thought it would be a typical cafe that just had cats roaming around. However, it was more like having a glass of wine at the humane society. The staff was friendly and the drinks were reasonable but cats are only so entertaining and most of them are just over it. If you're seriously considering adopting, it's a great way to get to meet a cat. They've been very successful at getting their cats adopted. However, if you're just looking to drink and maybe play with some cats, you might be hard-pressed to get some to come to you.

Rebecca W.

Yelp
As someone who is currently unable to have a cat of my own, being able to socialize with cats and help them prepare for adoption was so heartwarming. One of the cats my partner and I spent the majority of the time with was actually being adopted soon! The staff who greeted us were friendly and obviously passionate about putting the safety of the cats first. I wish the same could be said for the people we shared the lounge with for our reservation. There is a list of rules presented before entering the lounge and a larger version painted on the wall inside as well. It seemed as if every other patron in lounge felt the rules didn't apply to them as they woke sleeping cats and even played with The Wheel (which was clearly labeled "Do Not Touch"). However, I would gladly go again!

Sara M.

Yelp
I would say it wasn't the best experience if you are actually looking to find your new companion. Maybe we just came on the wrong day with the worst people there, idk. So many kids were there playing with the cats. You could not get any one on one time with the cats. Especially the kittens, some girl had a laser pointer out for 30 minutes and would not leave any of the poor cats alone. After all the kids left with their parents, a group of young adults came in who also just wanted to wave feather wands and point the laser non stop. No employee/volunteer stopped them from disturbing the sleeping cats. They would not stop waving the feather wands in the cats faces even long after the cats were annoyed with it. After all those people left, we had about 10 minutes left on our paid hour to spend some time with the cats. All the cats seemed worn out that this point and some annoyed. It was kind of disappointing to have such little time to actually enjoy the animals.

Tori A.

Yelp
While the cat part of the experience is spot on the cafe part is not so much. Which is okay cause most of your focus goes to the cats anyways. It's a little sad knowing these are the unwanted cats, since it's their last stop on the attempted adoption train but they are super sweet and it's a great way to socialize the cats and show them off to potential new families! Also students: it's only 4 dollars to get in with your student ID card present!

Dana M.

Yelp
Went today for the first time. Some of the cats sleep in the back so there was only six cats for 15 of us. So you don't get a lot of cat time there's just more people than there are cats. And most were sleeping out front too. The cats have a really nice place to play in there, with a cool huge mural. some cats are up high, where you can't pet them. Mostly people sat and looked at their phones because there just weren't enough cats to go around. It was just OK. Large selection and beverages there. I like how the cats are up for adoption.

Angela D.

Yelp
This is a fantastic spot all around. Lovely cafe separated from a "cat lounge" where you pay by the half hour to hang out, play and cuddle with cats. The cats are up for adoption, but they are also happy just to have visitors. My children were enthralled with the whole experience and we will be back!

Lori S.

Yelp
Such a great little place to go and unwind with cute cats. You can sit back with friends and enjoy some drinks while getting some cuddles in with cats who need a home. I personally just went in for 30 mins to play and pet the kitties. Best 30 mins of my life! Ok, I'm being a little dramatic but I love cats and this place just hit a soft spot in my heart. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. A must go to cafe! And if you don't want to pay to go into the cat lounge area, the cafe itself has windows that look right in so you can still enjoy them and all their cuteness

Creature T.

Yelp
Really nice place to hang out, but prohibitively expensive for families. $12.00 per person per hour before coffee and food just isn't doable for us. Would love to come by regularly, but I don't think we'll be back.

Rose L.

Yelp
I love cat cafe's, but this one wasn't my favourite. It seemed rather dark and cramped, and though I know cats have their thing, none of them were particularly interested in humans. Of course, it was at the end of the day so maybe they were human'd out? My drink was okay, but I ended up leaving early, which has never happened before.

Olivia O.

Yelp
I truly enjoyed my visit to Purrington's. The cat lounge was slightly low on cats the day my friends and I paid a visit, so the owner waived the visiting fee, which I believe is typically $8/person. The visiting room allows for you to stay for up to an hour and you may enjoy your snacks or drinks with the pleasant company of kitties. Some cats hide, some cats play, and others just sleep. There was an employee there just to make sure the cats were okay, not eating people food and playing fair with each other. I wish I could have adopted one so bad - but my apartment is a cat free place at the moment. I really recommend coming here to see if you can find a forever pet though. The treats were good but the cats are really the star of the show.

Yelp
Today was the day I've been anticipating since cat cafe became a buzz word last year. I heard the early rumor around March and kept up with every news article. I've gone to cat cafe in Japan and has been waiting for it to open in USA. I arrived around 11:20 am and was surprised there was no one there - but within minutes line grew! I had to be at work by 2 pm, so I was relieved to be let in and greeted by smiling staff little past noon. I had cash ready in case there was tech glitch, but I received my cat cookie and tea within minutes of ordering. I read the rules on chalk board with common courtesy for cats. My heart was set on seeing a petite black cat named Twilight, and after sanitizing my hands I walked into kitty paradise. Many friendly felines curiously greeted me, all but Twilight. It turns out cats are able to freely go in and out of separate room through a small cat screen door. Staff was kind and brought her in for me, and she was little shy but sweet reminding me of my first black cat I had as a teenager. This was actually better experience than the cat cafe I visited in Japan. Cats there were pure bred only and seemed stressed out from confinement. None wanted to play or be petted. It also did not allow food or drink in same facility. I do not have comparison to other locations in Japan, but I could tell it made most profit by selling cat merchandise. (I admit, spent $100) I'm returning next week to spend more relaxed time with Twilight and meet more cat lovers.

Jordan L.

Yelp
New owners are super friendly! The environment was very clean and organized. The process to visit some cars is easy and affordable! A puurrrfect place to get your cat fix in.

Nicole B.

Yelp
As a typical cat lady, I had been searching google for cat cafes in the US, without having to trek all the way to Tokyo for a cat cafe. I've read about pop up cafe's throughout the US, but couldn't find an actual brick & mortar. This review's a little late. I had gone the second day, this cafe opened. I was actually contemplating/debating in my mind to start a crowd fund for a cat cafe. But, reality burst my bubble. One of my friend's set up a reservation, which worked perfectly, otherwise we'd have to come back another day. Reservations are key. I drove north on MLK, and parked a couple blocks away as there is no parking within the near vicinity. We were greeted by a couple of friendly baristas in which, they hold the key to your entry into the adjoining room, which is the cat room. The cafe itself is quite narrow, with a few bar stools to enjoy a cup of coffee or meowmosas. Which is what we ordered. Those that did not have a reservation were hanging out in the small cramped area of the cafe. The entry fee was $8. Knowing the money contributed to the cats, I happily paid the fee. When I think of a cat cafe, food does not come to mind. I did not expect there to be food, and wouldn't want cat hair all over my food. I already have that at home. Don't come here expecting a meal with your furrriends. That's not what it's about. Although there are little apéritifs if desired. We brought our meowmosas into the cat room. We had an hour long reservation an hour before closing. The room was filled with more people than cats. I think by the time we got there, the cats were over people wanting to pet them. The three of us sat huddled in a corner, then moved throughout the room. Eying the cats, trying to get them to hang out with us. Batting our lashes. In hopes one would notice us. Gazing at them from across the room. Alas, within mere minutes of closing hour, this beautiful gray cat bestowed his presence amongst us. We were enthralled. Within seconds a voice from behind us, kindly mutters I am sorry, but it's time to go. Till next time, my furriends.

Yelp
This was a wonderful experience for us adopting a kitty. The owners clearly care about cats to the highest degree and what a fun environment to meet them in. The description of our kitty was spot on and all their advice was purrfect. I'd highly recommend coming here, either to hang out or to adopt a cat.

Yelp
well...When I was in Purrington's cat lounge, there was really only 2 cats! There wasn't very comfy sitting, and every time a cat came in, it just left. And the 2 cats that were there weren't very playful. We talked to the people who worked there that there were only 2 cats, but it took them awhile to do something. So, we just left and went to the Humane Society. It was not meow-sic to my ears.

Yelp
Very nice place to meet people and Socialize over petting Cat's. Great unsweetened choices of teas, variety alcohol, coffee and scones.

Yelp
Who doesn't love being able to spend time with adoptable kitties AND enjoy a beverage or snack while doing so? Reservations are best, as they can sometimes sell out during popular hours/days. I wouldn't be honest if I didn't mention that I've got 1 more stamp on my loyalty card until I receive a free visit!

Yelp
The cat lounge was small but my daughter had A great time. The cafe has limited selections but the green tea was good. Make sure to make reservations to play with the cats. Depending on how the cats are feeling you may get a friendly bunch

Yelp
Neat concept, but a pit pricey. 12 dollars an hour to pet cats seems a bit much and that doesn't include a drink or food. I realize they need to pay for litter, shots, cleaning etc but if they get 5 people in there an hour that is 60 dollars, 60x8 hours is 480 a day, whew! Seems overpriced to me.

Yelp
I loved this place such a great and cool way to find these babies forever homes. They also have cool merch and they sell food and beer! Five stars !

Yelp
Really like the premise of this establishment to spend time with cats that you can potentially adopt. The place is easy to miss. Drove right by it because there weren't any noticeable signs. First impression upon walking in was a really strong smell of alcohol. Not alcohol libations (although they do serve beer and wine), but cleaning alcohol. So that took a bit to get used to. 2nd thing I noticed was the amazing wall design with a David Bowie space cat and several other space felines. Awesome. 3rd were finally the cats, who were closed off in a separate room that you had to pay $5 for a half hour, or $8 for an hour to actually spend time with the kitties. Bummer, so we ordered a tea and vanilla almond cookie and watched our friend and other strangers play instead. The cats all seem very happy and not jaded by all the attention, with plenty of fun toys and things for them to climb/play with.

Yelp
After grabbing brunch on Sunday, we wanted to grab a drink and as a cat lover, I was really excited about heading to this cafe! The primary purpose of this space is to help cats get adopted, so I wasn't there to really participate in that (since I was visiting Portland). I was glad that the admission cost I paid went in to supporting the cats & their shelter. There were about 6 cats out when we were there, most of them pretty non-interested in us humans. There's a little cat door that some cats would go in and out of into a back-area where they can be at peace. It wasn't kitty-nirvana, as much as I wanted it to be, but it was still a unique experience and I'm glad we went!

Yelp
Interesting idea, but kinda missed the mark. The staff was kinda rude and condescending. I get that they have to look out for the cats' welfare and the general public doing dumb things to cats. But the staff could have been a lot nicer in general. The attitude of the staff made it difficult to relax since I felt like we were being watched like prisoners in a prison, just with a lot more cats. The establishment could have also used an espresso machine for lattes and such. On the plus side, the facility was warm, clean and didn't smell like cats. The cats seemed as happy and as healthy as a cat could be. The admission price was reasonable and the reservation system was easy to use. Glad I went once, but I wouldn't go back.
