This restaurant group puts out great food and better service at the two establishments we went to. The pork belly was delicious. The show stopper was the salad wrapped in nori...it was unbelievable. Great short rib and looked like a great craft cocktail menu.

Google
This one is tough. My fiance and I went here for our 1 year anniversary and was let down. The atmosphere is wonderful. Our service was incredible. The appetizers were good, but the portions were lacking. $18 for 2 one inch tacos and $19 for 2 spring rolls. I ordered the $45 snapper along with a side of mushrooms and was not impressed. I also ordered 2 $17 cocktails that were served in a wine glass full of ice, so 3 sips later, they were gone. We left feeling very disappointed and still hungry.

This was a phenomenal dining experience! Everything from the food, the waitstaff, and the building itself was first class. My husband and I dined here to celebrate Valentine’s Day and took advantage of the special Valentine’s Day menu option. Every course was artfully presented and delivered an amazing taste experience. Our waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu, which was great since it was our first time dining here. The space we were seated in felt very intimate and added to the overall experience. I feel that the price of the menu items is fair considering the quality and presentation of them!!

Google
The establishment was nice and clean. The front door when we went was not welcoming or marked very well at all. It just seemed confusing how their entrance was at the time. The drinks were good and food was overall good. The music choice for the night was odd. The ambiance inside was dark and calm but the music was uptempo pop music.

Google
We ate dinner there last night. Amazing food. We had the crusted rack of lamb and the purple mashed potatoes. And for dessert we had peach cobbler with Bourbon Ice cream! Beth was our server and she did a fantastic job! All the servers worked hard helping to serve other tables as well. Very nice experience!

Google
Ty (our server) did an amazing job of making us feel welcome. Everything was promptly delivered to the table. We went for my husband’s birthday and it was absolutely delightful. Food was some of the best I’ve had in town. Will be back!

Google
We celebrated my mom’s birthday here, and it was an amazing experience! Every dish we ordered was fantastic, but the standout favorite was the lobster cream corn — an absolute must-try. We also had the giant sweet water prawns, black bass, and scallops, all of which were delicious and skillfully prepared to highlight the natural flavors of the seafood. I’m always wary of dishes being overly salty, but that wasn’t an issue here; everything was perfectly balanced. The service was impeccable, making the evening even more special. I’ll definitely be returning for the next special occasion!

Google
Great meal, service and atmosphere. Don't bother looking for a menu it's ever changing and each visit promises a new experience. I loved the creative dishes which combined different temperatures, textures, and flavors. The smoked watermelon with shrimp sounded crazy but was fantastic. Be adventurous and give it a try, you won't be disappointdd

Yelp
#TotalWinos must stop when in Huntsville. While there was a business dinner happening in their front room I was pleasantly surprised at a full-restaurant on a Monday night. Wine menu by the glass had 6 wines i'd never heard as well as other known brands ALL BY THE GLASS! This was perfect in focusing in pairing & sharing small plates & just one entree for two of us. What really put it over the top was our server Damien who just provided excellent service;l & even gave me a tour of their wine room for additional seating or private events. Really the whole staff really seemed to be very pleasant and operated in great partnership. Seasonal fresh menu changes with the crops so we'll definitely going back on our next trip late summer. Keep your eyes on this place. If they keep it up they should be earning great recognition.

Yelp
Worst restaurant I been to downtown. Spring rools for $19 looked frozen from Dollar Tree. The salad my date ordered had raw egg in the crouton with no dressing. the tuna was ok but how can you mess up rare tuna lol. Would not recommend way over priced for the quality of the food. Zero stars.

Yelp
The purveyor was a beautiful restaurant inside! It smelled amazing walking in so I knew we were in the right place. When you are ordering ask how the dish is prepared just an fyi, the chef likes to put his own twists on things so you might not get what you expect. But everything we had was amazing! And our waiter was awesome and was always checking to see if we needed anything! The octopus small plate was amazing, perfectly layered with all the flavors blending!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant and we got put in the front of the building which was kind of secluded from everyone else. Food tasted AMAZING and was presented beautifully! Will come back! Espresso martini & Mars cocktail was super good!

Yelp
Believe it or not I happened on this place because I got lost going to a barbecue place in Huntsville. I am visiting my daughter and she had other dinner plans this evening and I'm going to bring her back here on Sunday night. Since this was my first time here, I tend to ask the staff about their favorites and also what to avoid, zach was my waiter, and he did not disappoint. I was going to get the tuna taco appetizer, the Caesar salad, and one of the side vegetables when I asked him about the yellow tuna entrée he highly suggested it, and I'm highly going to suggest it to you folks. I will start with the Caesar salad while not on traditional Ceaser Romain lettuce it was on a softer lettuce. But the lettuce was such good quality. I didn't even notice and I would eat that dressing on anything. It has bite or teeth in the very best. In the photo, you will see the most delicious little yellow egg sack, which is to die for. The tuna entrée beat my expectations because not only was the fish incredibly delicate and tasty Ponzu sauce was literally one of the best ponzu's as not too salty and not too citrusy that with an amazing rice and kimchi mixture with just the right amount of heat. The only thing that was just so so was the dinner roll which while hot and fresh was just so so but the actually ordered food was amazing , and Zach was on point and helpful with my selections

Yelp
Visited Purveyor on a whim and it did not disappoint. The food was very well prepared-/the corn bread skillet was delicious. The spring rolls were a little small--my only criticism. The chicken was delicious and filling. The service was courteous and prompt and the atmosphere was lovely but not too loud. I'd definitely go back again.

Yelp
Huntsville Purveyor - defined as a provider of particularly high-end fare, provisions, and merriment - did just that on my visit tonight. 5/5 AMBIANCE Purveyor in Huntsville, AL, epitomizes culinary excellence and sophistication in the heart of the city's burgeoning dining scene. Nestled in a historic building downtown, this upscale restaurant exudes modern elegance and timeless charm. The restaurant's stylish decor, with its exposed brick walls, soft lighting, and chic furnishings, creates an inviting atmosphere perfect for intimate dinners, celebratory gatherings, and business meetings. 5/5 FOOD (5) AHI TUNA POKE TACOS $16 Yellowfin tuna. Spicy sesame/Yuzu kosho (sweet, bright, savory, spicy). Avocado mousse (smooth, creamy). Crispy fried gyoza shell. 5/5 SERVICE Warm hospitality from attentive and knowledgeable staff.

Yelp
When I say the food was a 11/10... I am telling the truth!! Let's begin to with everything I ordered came out perfect and full of flavor. The squash blossoms were spectacular. The batter on the outside was light, the crab was well seasoned and generous and those tuna tacos were a delight. The service was definitely very very good. I would go back.

Yelp
I would have never thought that Huntsville would have a very elegant restaurant but I was proven wrong when I came to Purveyor. The place is amazing with great art work, they placed our party in the wine room which was very private because you can actually close the door. The food was too notch and the service was on point. Our server brought out the appetizers, drinks and food in a timely manner. He always check on us and the bill wasn't too crazy. I recommend this place if you ever find yourself in Huntsville Alabama.

Yelp
The piano bar side is a vibe and I don't know if I can ever eat on the regular side again. The times where I've been there, I haven't felt like the music was too loud at all. The service team members have always been friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about their offerings. On my most recent visit, my friend and I were catching up and slow to order, and our waitress was so kind and patient about that. We both really appreciated that we didn't feel rushed. We started with splitting the crab cake appetizer, which was incredible. For our entree, we split the Grilled Swordfish. It was an impressive sized entree and so flavorful. And for dessert, we had the molten lava cake, but swapped out the vanilla ice cream for almond and that was absolutely the right move. Everything there was top notch. Such a great little restaurant in Huntsville.

Yelp
Similar to most successful businesses...the decline of service often is what will bring about its demise. I have been to this establishments many times and have introduced folks to this place. I love their food and have loved the southern hospitality in past visits. Not today. But today by myself, I visited with empty tables with but almost full bar seating. I did not want to sit with strangers, especially so close to each other while there are empty tables galore. They did not want to accommodate a 2-top for one person while it was slow. It was 730 way past peak dinner rush. A party of one will quickly turn way over faster than a party of 2+. But instead you would rather turn away business. I think I am going to stop doing team dinners here and introducing folks to this place.

Shubhada H.

Yelp
Lovely brick walls and a beautiful bar. Our seasonal cocktail was terrific. The food not so much. "Truffle" gnocchi did not have a hint of truffle and eggplant was cool, not warm. An unordered side was charged to our bill. The peach cobbler pastry dough was undercooked. I wanted to like this place.

Yelp
Visited Purveyor for Valentine's Day and they served us AMAZING food. I will say, I made a reservation for the normal dining room, however, was sat in the Piano Room instead which was fine by us but the piano and singer were extremely loud for our taste. That aside, the food was magnificent and had amazing flavor. Pork belly side play and the A5- Wagyu were very soft and melted in your mouth while being super flavorful. I would say though that even though it was amazing, the prices can be quite steep but understandable for fine dining. Our waiter wasn't the best either coming from myself being a waiter also for more than 5 years. he didn't explain anything about the menu to us or anything like that when we asked. Was a little disappointing but still a good experience.

Rae R.

Yelp
Have been here multiple times and have always been impressed. Between a gluten allergy and shellfish allergy we have always been taken care of. The halibut and lamb were both amazing and the wine selection is very nice. Not to mention that servers are attentive and friendly

Yelp
Slow service. Took nearly 30mins after being seated to place an order for a drink and dinner. Food was average, especially for the price. Supposedly, this is an upscale three course restaurant. We only ordered entrees considering the wait time but it felt like we ordered three courses and only had one. The Purveyor Burger was over-cooked and a the swordfish bacon on it was very tough and tasted old/fishy. The Monk fish barely had any seasoning and the gnocchi was tasteless and had the consistency of Play-doh. The only decent dish was the diver scallops. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed but the restaurant was not very busy on a Monday night. Was not attentive with us and did not refill our drinks/water.

Yelp
I came here to try the most expensive burger in town, and maybe even the state. I can't really compare it to other burgers in Huntsville since this is my first visit to Huntsville. Parking is somewhat of a challenge since its street parking mostly in the area. There is one lot north of the building where the restaurant is located which is free after 5pm. I parked there. Inside, it's fancy, dimly lit and full of mostly middle aged patrons. I sat at the bar since I dined alone. I was pretty quick about ordering since I had reviewed the menu before even visiting. Without breaking the bank. I simply ordered the $23 burger and the telegraph, which is like an elevated margarita. It's pretty smooth but I think that's cause the pour is sort of small. A drink that can be made with tequila or rum, but I stuck to the menu here and selected rum. The burger was very delicious and worth every penny. It had a distinct taste of a steak. The quality of the beef is superb. I read at one time it was a wagyu-ribeye blend, but the menu during my visit just stated wagyu. Either way, after the first bite I didn't want to put it down to eat the homemade chips it comes with, I just kept eating the burger and it took me less than 5 minutes to finish it. I wasn't really impressed with the chips. I wish I had more time and money to try other items like the A5 items, but maybe next time. Service was excellent, but of course I was at the bar so it should be.

Yelp
We chose Purveyor for our anniversary dinner and are very pleased with the decision. From the moment we walked in the door we felt welcomed. Our server, Kennedy, was phenomenal she was patient with us while trying to select a wine. She provided a few samples until we found one we liked. She provided a few recommendations from the menu and we chose the cornbread as a starter which was delicious. Wife had a filet and I had braised rib Wellington and neither disappointed. Throughout the meal Kennedy was attentive without being intrusive. All in all if you're celebrating something special I recommend Purveyor.

Yelp
Went while on a work trip and it was delicious. Chef inspired meals and dishes that change frequently according to our server, who was fantastic (great service - personable and proactive). We got all small plates and sides to share family style and weren't disappointed. We got the waygu tacos, cornbread, Ashed tomatoes (fried tomatoes with charcoal in the tempura batter!), eggplant, Brussel sprouts, and mushrooms. Amazing! Cool ambiance too.

Michael H.

Yelp
We had a large group of people there for dinner. Our waiter was wonderful attentive but not overly hovering. We shared small plates and several bottles of wine and then we ate our entrees. Every thing was delicious and well presented. Definitely recommend an evening here.

Yelp
Food. Trendy and delicious Service. Attentive and intelligent Ambiance. Upscale industrial chic

Yelp
Service was impeccable. My filet was excellent. Good wine list and recommendations . The dessert was a bread pudding and yummy.

Yelp
Wow, great drinks for starters, a Gin martini and an old fashion! We went out for my wife's birthday and we really enjoyed our time. Great ambiance and the food tasted very good. The service was also very good. Fast friendly and very polite. Get reservations.

Yelp
Great drinks & great food! The best server, Nathaniel, entertained us while keeping the drinks & food coming. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Ryan, our server, started off the experience with a very warm greeting and courtesy that he carried throughout our entire dining experience. His recommendation on cocktails and entrees were superior. The dining experience that we were excited for started when the cocktails were delivered. The Old Fashioned and the Topaz were stunning in presentation and very well balanced. As a lover of Bourbon and Rye, I ordered a pour of their Knob Creek Rye Single Barrel Select and was greeted with a flavor bomb. The select was fill of rich, sweet flavor that prepared my tastebuds for what was to come. We ordered the Black Angus Filet with purple mashed potatoes and the Pork Osso Bucco. Both meals were very prepared and the depth of their flavor was deeper and richer than any meal we have had in the past year. Our experience was capped off when we were met the General Manager Alex, who has a gregarious and outgoing demeanor. It is clear to see why the entire staff was walking around with infectious smile and appeared to be enjoying their work. I have nothing negative to say and I will tell anyone, who is willing to listen, about the incredible dining experience that we enjoyed.

Yelp
Food, service, and ambiance were all top notch. I highly recommend trying their cocktails and desserts.

Yelp
It's a nice place no doubt. Worth a try for the unique experience but nothing that makes me want to rush back and doubt I'll be day dreaming about it like some other places. Glad I tried it and had a good meal. Reasonably busy around 6pm on a Wednesday got an open seat at the bar and was immediately given a menu and asked what I wanted to get started. Talked with people sitting next to me saying they go for the appetizers and drinks. Could definitely see myself coming back and trying some appetizers and drinks. Started with the $11 Caesar salad which had quality ingredients, but not in the style I prefer. Tasted descent but would not get again. After ordering the $48 filet and $27 scallops it took a while to get, but the steak was cooked perfect medium rare and tasted good. The onions, mushrooms, and toppings were a interesting addition that was good but I prefer just a well seasoned steak with a nice red wine sauce on the side. Not my place for a filet but since it was a well cooked and tasty steak, I would give the ribeye a try if I visited again. The scallops were perfect. Great size, melted in my mouth, very well done. Overall, it was a nice clean place. My bartender was Liz who was very nice and kept my glass full. Food was good but nothing that makes me want to rush back. Next time I may go for drinks and appetizers to see if this place is more my style for that.
google avatar

Yelp
Definately nothing special for the price. Food was bland. Service was good though. Price was insane. If I'm going to pay $200 on a meal for 2, it better blow my socks off.

Yelp
I wanted to love this place, but after two just ok visits I think I'm done. First time I stopped by for a cocktail and an appetizer, drink was very tasty, appetizer was tartare and just ok, not too flavorful. Second time I stopped by for the burger only since I heard the burger was the best in town and I'm always hunting for an amazing burger. At $23 (before tax and tip), I'd say it wasn't worth it, and at least the fries were good even if made to mimic fast food style. The burger itself seemed a bit more done than medium, and the mix of blue cheese and onion jam (all savory) made it taste like a chunk of salty liver, the bun was good but perhaps a bit too fluffy for something this saucy. Fries were skinny and properly seasoned, but I think steak fries could have balanced the saltiness of the burger a bit better. Service and atmosphere are great here, but at least the food I've tried wasn't good enough to return.

Yelp
Came here for dessert and a drink, and was so happy with the attentiveness of the bar tender and the friendly staff! It's an initiate setting and after being there, wish I would've came for dinner as well!

Peter C.

Yelp
The food was great. Everyone seemed happy with everything ordered. I would say the tuna tacos are deceiving, and would be better categorized as tuna nachos. They were good, but extremely small.

Yelp
Tourists in Huntsville with no idea where to go to eat. Through some intense research and a complicated algorithm (just kidding) we created a list of 3 places. So glad we chose Purveyor. We walked in to peruse the menu, making sure there were enough vegetarian/pescatarian options for us, and to see if they'd be able to seat us. They took our phone number and said they'd call when a table was ready, about 30 minutes. We went to one of the other 3 places on our original list to have an appetizer. Then within 30 minutes we got a call from them. The table setting/booth was reminiscent of a '30s/'40s swanky supper club. The lighting added to the ambience. The service is professional. We were given pull apart bread that was yummy. We started with tuna tacos which were presented beautifully, delicious and satisfying. We shared a whole branzino which was cooked just right and a plum and buratta which was also very good. The bar is very well stocked. I believe we made a perfect choice- this is a do not miss restaurant.

Jason A.

Yelp
Food is excellent, especially the tiny tacos. Service is also excellent. Scott is usually the server we get. Scott is excellent. Ambiance is nicer than most of the similarly-tiered restaurants in the area.

Yelp
I've been coming to this place since they opened and I am always I impressed! Such an amazing place and outstanding service with each visit. The cocktail list and menu are always changing and never disappoint. The bread is sooo amazing and to die for. We had a few servings! Can't wait to try their other places.

Yelp
We were less than impressed with our most recent visit to Purveyor. It's possible we caught them on an off type Saturday night or maybe it's just the new "post COVID" normal. They were less busy than times I had been before and still seemed to be struggling. We made reservations via Resy which requires a credit card or they will charge you a $25/per person penalty if you cancel. We arrived a little early for our 8pm reservation, with no hostess in sight and several tables available. Once she finally appeared, we were asked to wait to be seated. All in all, This wait turned in to 30+ minutes whereas we were being seated along with others whose reservations were for 8:30 pm. The kicker was, she ended up seating us at a table that had been available the entire time we had been waiting. We ordered appetizers, cocktails and dinner which was just okay. Nothing spectacular like I had remembered on our previous visits. The waiter made a couple dinner recommendations which I ended up taking him up on only for him to return and tell me they were sold out which was quite disappointing. Will probably not return anytime soon.

Yelp
Very cool place... nice ambience, tastefully decorated with dim lighting. We liked the food, but the service and drinks were the stars of the show here. Our waiter was fantastic and the Margaret Knight (a smoked old fashioned) was one of the most inventive drinks I've tried. Great taste and presentation. We'd probably make a return visit on our next trip to Huntsville but the only food items we'd order again would be the ahi tuna tacos and that pistachio dessert- whatever it's called. Delicious!
google avatar

Taylor D.

Yelp
Great quality food, just smaller portions. Don't come starving. Perfect location for date night

Kelly P.

Yelp
Hands down the best restaurant in Huntsville. The squash salad is to die for. My Mom always made beef Wellington for New Year's. This was way better. The food is worth the price.
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
Stopped in here for drinks at the bar to check off our cocktail trail card. We didn't order food this time, just cocktails, but I think we will be back to check the food out. It was tough to get reservations and I hate eating at the bar in a restaurant. I ordered the Geunevere, which was apple cider with vodka and some other things. Very good! My husband got 2 different types of old fashioned a. One being smoked, which was really cool! The drinks are between $12-15 each. Just be prepared for that.

Michael K.

Yelp
Excellent service. They made it a pleasure to be there. Go before your reservation to enjoy a hand crafted drink at the bar.
google avatar

Meghan W.

Yelp
The service was excellent but, the food was just ok. I really wanted to love it but, I didn't, it felt like they were pushing the "casual fine dining" experience a little too hard. The food: We had the filet, ribeye, and several sides/small plates, of those the mexican street creamed corn was by far the best dish. The seasonal drinks were also pretty tasty. Overall, maybe skip the mains and just go for a few after work drinks.

Yelp
I was happily surprised by my husband with a birthday dinner. I've been fortunate enough to dine at 5 star restaurants in Las Vegas and Orange County, so I was beyond pleased to enjoy a 5 star meal in Alabama. We started the meal with Ahi Tacos. They were fresh & crunchy with just the right amount of spice. I will definitely be stopping by often just to snack on these. The scallops were perfectly cooked and tender. Each bite filled with an assortment of flavors that burst in my mouth. The star of the evening was their Kobe beef, served with grilled prawns and crab creamed corn. The beef was so tender it melted in my mouth. The prawns were huge & deliciously seasoned. The cream corn was the best I've ever tasted with generous lumps of crab. For dessert we had a trio of deliciousness. The cheesecake was served with a tasty rompope sauce but the chocolate bread pudding was so amazing it left me wanting more. I expected a good meal but we were given a phenomenal dining experience. Thank you Purveyor for making my birthday such a memorable one.

Yelp
Service and food is good! But serving sizes for the price are a little hard to swallow. I understand it's wagu but I bite for $8, I'm sorry I'll pass and the price of the cornbread is ridiculous, however it is really good though!

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in Huntsville. Now it's expensive but so worth it. I can't say much more , just visit !!!

Reid S.

Yelp
If you're looking for the most overrated, overpriced restaurant in Huntsville, look no further! My girlfriend and I have been twice, two years apart, and have had a less than optimal experience both times. My girlfriend has celiac and is highly allergic to gluten - consuming even a little bit of it makes her feel very sick for the next 24 hours. The first time we went, the waiter told us that the brussels sprouts were gluten free - they were not, and my girlfriend got sick. This time, I made a note on our reservation [as a side note, we made a reservation for a high-top table, and when we got there had to wait 15 minutes for our table to be ready, which was a low-top...why even make a reservation???] about the gluten allergy, and they brought her a separate, gluten free menu before ordering. She ordered the marinated burger, and once again, got sick. We're starting to think that the chefs simply don't know what gluten is. Our waiter certainly doesn't, as he claimed the chips that came with the burger were gluten free, only to return five minutes before our meal was being brought out to tell her that they actually weren't, and that they were going to give her the mashed potatoes as a side instead. We're guessing that it is something in the burger marinade that contains gluten. The disappointing and somewhat mind-blowing thing is that we've had the same waiter twice, and it's clear that they still don't know which items on their menu do and do not contain gluten. For a restaurant that is as expensive as this place is, I would expect them to have higher standards. I can easily name 3 other restaurants in Huntsville that are just as good for the same/ lower price point (Commerce Kitchen, Cotton Row, and The Bottle). The only thing keeping me from giving this place a one star review is that the food is pretty decent. Although they try to get too fancy for their own in good in some instances - like, just give me some good fries with the burger. Those little chips ain't it. Overall, If you aren't allergic to gluten, then sure, go spend a bunch of money on an overrated meal and see what you think. But if you have celiac, I wouldn't recommend this place if my life depended on it.

Yelp
Wonderful dining experience! I would give 10 stars if it was an option. Super easy to make reservations online/app. Which you will need a reservation to get in! Intimate restaurant! There is one larger private room in the back for groups. Very nicely decorated! Service is very high level! From entering to the restaurant to having your plate cleared. You shouldn't show up in sweatpants and a hoodie but jeans are fine! Nice range of wine selection! Food: Holy cow. The real MVP. The roll and spread is amazing! Seriously! The A-5 Wagyu Beef literary does melt in your mouth and the cooking experience is fun! We also had the ribeye for two and a side of brussel sprouts. Both were fabulous! Highly recommend both! But, next time I think we will just go for all Wagyu and get much more!!! Yummm!

Yelp
This is a nice and fancy restaurant in the downtown area. The drinks were delicious. I don't recall the names, but one was with cucumber and the other one with egg-white. The tuna tacos and the cornbread were magnificent! I loved them. Everyone loved the main plates. Mine was chicken and even though that's not something I would order in a restaurant, I'm glad I took the waiter's advice. They do offer free bread, make sure to ask for it if they don't bring it to the table. Ps. Make reservations and be aware that the menu has limited options.

Amy L.

Yelp
Everything is always wonderful. Food, atmosphere and especially Scott, our server we always ask for him when we make reservations and he's always taken excellent care of us

Ryan R.

Yelp
Great location in Huntsville with an eclectic menu. Very good cocktail selection. We enjoyed drinks at the bar prior to our dinner party. Our waitstaff was very attentive and consistent. The food was excellent from the appetizer to the dessert. The only recommendation I would have is maybe put some type of gourmet fries (duckfat?) for the meat and potato guys like me.
