The 22 Best Seattle Cafes To Work In - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Push X Pull On Union keeps things simple. The design is minimal, the coffee is excellent, and the inside looks like your Amazonian friend’s open one-bedroom: white walls, giant windows, and a ton of succulents. The music isn’t too loud, there's a natural wine shop in case you want to grab a bottle to bring home, and the upstairs balcony bar is an essential spot to sit with a mug of chai and a cheesy breakfast sandwich on sweet Portuguese bolo from Jen's in Portland—and, finally finish writing that article on the best coffee shops to get work done in Seattle. This example is purely hypothetical." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley

I love what you all have going here but I can guarantee you would have more customers if you: A) Poured your espresso shots in water, milk, or syrup per drink order instead of just pouring them in the mug and making them taste sour and gross. B) opened a bit earlier. 8 am is kind of late for a coffee shop to open. Other than that everything else was amazing. Baristas were friendly, customer service was great, decor and setup are great too.

Have been wanting to come here for a while and finally came by for a pre-work coffee. The barista made my espresso perfectly and was great to chat with. The vibes in here are spectacular, not too loud, free Wi-Fi, and I love the upstairs seating area! There weren’t many food options left but I think I just visited too late in the day! Will definitely be back here very soon.

Google
The most unique and delicious coffee. The whole process from where the beans are sourced, processed and roasted creates some very flavorful coffee. Try the co-fermentation creations - mind blowing! Such a great experience worth trying!

I was feeling like a pile of trash today but the second I walked into this shop my mood shot up thanks to the atmosphere. The music, plants, and baristas made me feel very comfortable and welcome. I ordered their Natural Papua New Guinea espresso and it was a real citrus fruit bomb. They offer a lot of different retail roasts with a great variety of processes and some co-ferments which I LOVE. The beans are a bit on the pricey side ($23-$27 for 12oz) but the quality is 100% worth it. Overall, I highly recommend this shop if you need a welcoming space and love modern coffee trends.

Stopped by for a quick coffee. The mocha and cappuccino were excellent, and the atmosphere was nice. They had a great playlist going, and the service was good. It was a rainy day so sitting outdoors was not an option. They have some seating on the upper level but it’s a smaller space overall. Nice spot to get coffee and read in the area.

This is a nice cafe with kind baristas and amazing drip coffee. Dogs are allowed in for ordering and there are tables outside if you want to drink your coffee with your pup. The in house drip coffee comes with a free refill :)

Push x Pull has quickly become one of my favorite coffee spots in Seattle. If you are someone who values good coffee and knowledgeable baristas who take care crafting each cup, this is a place for you. I am not qualified enough to describe the subtleties of the espresso, but the cortados are beautifully fruity and well balanced. They also have a great little outdoor pergola. As folks who still mask indoors, this is really valuable. The road is a little loud but I'm glad they have it. Looking forward to spending some summer days out there.

Google
Cute local cafe with a solid wine and coffee gear selection. The barista was polite, albeit slow moving. The drinks were good - I enjoyed the uniqueness of their specialty drink menu. Overall, decent option for coffee if you're in the area.

Yelp
One cup of Carmel latte everybody knows the rules, this will be a regular place I come to, the staff seems very chill and customer focused. When I asked how many shots they mentioned 2 more is the same price as one more shot, so a quad shot Carmel latte to start my day and a standard sandwich. While the plants might need some water and a grow light, my mood by the window was cold, focused and I felt the creative motivational mojo brew up so I'm enjoying the vibes. The coffee itself is strong but almost no aftertaste or bitterness which is a common issue with hipster coffee houses. Everything is (usually) overdone in an attempt to compensate but I feel like Push Pull has someone who spent time to ensure they are dialed in on their grind, beans and water to give a potent but rich caffeinated drink to enjoy. Also bonus points for the lack of pretentious angst, emo or dour vibes that many shops are known for. This place needs more customers and I'll be back.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite coffee shops to work from. They have lots of seating up stairs and cozy vibes downstairs. The coffee is delicious too.

Yelp
This is my favorite neighborhood coffee shop and I enjoy each barista there. A wonderful bunch of people and excellent coffee. The have the most well loved couch that is so comfortable and great seating as well as more upstairs. It's the spot! You'll love it!

Yelp
Finally a place in Seattle with pour over coffee! On the day I visited there were three pour over options. The vibe is nice and chill. They have some seating upstairs, bar window seating, and a big, soft leather couch. The people working there are friendly and work hard. There were only two of them and they were busy the whole time we were there.

Yelp
As someone who works from home, I'm constantly on the lookout for places to go when I need to get out the house. This place came highly recommended for the coffee. The staff are very knowledgeable and you can tell that their focus is high quality coffee without the unnecessary frills. While I'm not a huge coffee drinker (I know, forgive me), I do love matcha. This matcha was one of the best I've had in Seattle! Perfect texture and flavor. It was also a great place to work for a bit. Access to WiFi, outlets, and comfy-enough seating. I do with there was a bit more lighting in the work area but the natural sunlight that they get through the front was still quite nice.

Yelp
This is the best espresso I've tasted in the Seattle area in a while.. It is rich and delicious, I was sad when I finished. I got a decaf latte, so it surprised me even more because sometimes, decaf is not as good. The place had decent amount of areas to sit and work with couches and tabletops. It was quiet on the Friday morning we popped in and we did not have to wait. The baristas were friendly and quick.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to hunker down, get some work done, and enjoy some of the best coffee Seattle has to offer. It has a pretentious look to it but is anything but - baristas are friendly, it's cozy to stick around for a while, and the clientele is generally laid back. My ONE gripe - it is SO HOT in the upper area, where there are most seats / tables to work at. If they could turn down the heat just a notch or two, it'd make all the difference. Especially roasting up there on these chilly days where I immediately regret the sweater I wore.

Yelp
This place has it down. Knowledgeable staff, tasteful tunes, and above all, skillfully produced coffee. Great atmosphere

Yelp
This spot has an excellent chai, which in my experience, is no small feat in Seattle. I was greeted in a friendly and sincere way upon entering. The barista answered all my questions about the chais (sweet vs. spicy) and then checked my preference for milk. I believe they were out of nonfat so they suggested oatmilk, which was really good with the spicy chai. I'd probably actually opt for that next time. The atmosphere was really nice and calm and I went upstairs to do some work and sip my chai for an hour or so. I'd definitely come back and recommend!

Yelp
I have been to so so many coffee shops and this one is one of the best ones I've been to. I love the ambiance of the shop, there is ample seating, the baristas working were so so friendly and helpful. I also really really loved the overall vibe of the shop and the playlist they played. My drink was good but I was in awe of the biscuit and egg sandwich I got. The bread was so fresh (I think they made the biscuits themselves) and they also have amazing fresh jam you could add to it.

Yelp
Slightly rude service, the barista wouldn't even pour the oat milk and put the stevia in my cold brew. I won't be back here again and I don't recommend it if you want good service.

Yelp
Nice ambiance and friendly staff. The coffee was fine but I wish they carried non-fat milk.

Yelp
I came for the oat-milk matcha latte, which was quite nice. Helpful kind staff. Mellow vibe with indie music loud enough to cover conversation, though most customers seemed to be laptopping. Sofa, counter, and balcony seating indoors; small covered wooden patio seating outdoors. Always happy to patronize a woman-owned business.

Yelp
last summer i went to portland for a little solo trip/coffee tour, and the shop that really wowwed me there was push x pull. how excited i was to hear they'd settled into this spot in seattle -- a much closer location than pdx. the service here was just as down-to-earth friendly as in portland, and i really appreciate that. lots of fancy cafes get really snooty and unfriendly these days, which i find boring. these folks were super nice and happy to chat about beans and other stuff. one of their roasts i'd been dying to try was out for the day, and they held a bag for me to pick up later. thanks much, christopher! they do amazing stuff here, and i'm so excited to keep buying into their funky, experimental stuff. the flavors are out of this world! orange fermentation? wine yeast?? yes, please!

Yumeji V.

Yelp
Love this spot They are always so sweet and the music they play is great. I can't remember the name of the seasonal drink I had last week but it had this homemade apricot jam that I honestly was not expecting to enjoy as much as I did. I came back a couple days later to order it again Definitely became one of my favorite local coffee shops

Yelp
Coffee is good and the vibe is really relaxing and spacious! Beautiful space and great coffee.

Yelp
I had a negative experience when trying to correct my order with one of the staff members. I rarely leave negative reviews but I was compelled to do so after this interaction. I didn't feel valued as a customer and while I did enjoy the coffee. The experience left a terrible taste in my mouth

Yelp
The place is small and simple. There are plenty of options for those that truly enjoy complex coffee flavors with a few house made flavor options. For example, my friend got a single origin cappuccino. I tried The Suzy, which is a latte with honey, cinnamon, and sea salt. It was excellent. Only very slightly sweet with a forward saltiness. They had many wine bottles on the wall which didn't bake a lot of sense (since the space is pretty small) until I realized there is an outside covered patio that would be perfect for drinks.

Rachel E.

Yelp
the customer service is beyond amazing! the vibe is nice and cozy and the decor is very cute. my matcha latte tasted fantastic

Iris K.

Yelp
Relaxing ambiance with phenomenal coffee and friendly baristas. My personal favorite drink is the Suzy but anything they make is a safe bet. Can't recommend enough!

Yelp
Such a great new local shop - bright and open, lots of outlets at their many tables, coffee was fabulous (if you can order a 6 oz cappuccino, it's legit). I had a gift card for the coffee shop that existed here beforehand and while they couldn't take it, they gave me a coffee on the house. I'll be back!

Yelp
Super friendly, knowledgeable staff. I liked how private the top floor was and my herbal tea in a yellow mug brightened my day. On my to do list to buy some wine here.

Arthur S.

Yelp
So glad Union Coffee lives on as Push x Pull. Push x Pull is a roaster from Oregon that was heavily featured in Union Coffee's small batch bean collection, so these guys know coffee. :) The space is still bright and airy with good vibes. The upstairs loft is a good spot to hide away to get some work done or have a chat.
