"After 30 years of slinging rum-fueled Painkillers in Annapolis’ Ego Alley, Pusser’s Caribbean Grille closed its doors this fall. All is not lost for fans of the tropical paradise, however, as Pusser’s plans to relocate next spring to an all-new waterfront spot in Baltimore’s Canton neighborhood." - Claudia Rosenbaum

We sat outside on the dock, it was a great atmosphere with live music. The server was helpful and friendly and was able to help make modifications to dishes that we would like. The food was pretty good and the drinks were fun and tropical.

Google
Drinks were so-so, served in plastic cups, but that is to be expected for an outside bar. The only waterfront bar in downtown Annapolis and always has a buzz. Nice view of the Naval Academy Chapel dome. Nice place to stop after a Woodwind sunset sail. .

Pussers is a must stop whenever we are in Annapolis! Typically we have lunch or dinner here but this time we just dropped in for drinks. Definitely recommend getting a Pain Killer (21+) with either a #3 or #4. It’s right on the water so outside seating is really nice when the weather permits. We have not had a bad experience with this place.

Google
A spontaneous trip to Annapolis and we saw this place and had to try it out. Good service and great appetizers. Had the jerk chicken quesadilla and coconut shrimp. Both were great!!!

Google
Loved the food at this place! It’s yummy and fresh. Many places have reheated chicken in their dishes and I can instantly taste reheated vs just prepared. Their chicken bowl was so delicious! Very tender and flavorful, just-prepared chicken, over a bed of lettuce. Yum! We went with friends and everybody enjoyed their food. The view from the dock is amazing! Definitely ask to sit outside if they have availability! The service was not that great. Half of our party was still eating when the server came and asked if we wanted the check. Kind of rude. She didn’t ask if we wanted two different checks. We clearly had two separate parties in our group. Ultimately, we just told her to split the check.

When I arrived I was immediately warmly greeted and seated based on my preference. There were less than a handful of patrons dining in during the time I arrived. I opted for outdoor seating, I was the only patron, however, two people arrived within 10 minutes and was immediately served a drink and greeted by their server. At this time I’ve yet to be served. The hostess , then, after checking on the new party assured me someone will be serving me, my server then arrived right after. I started with oysters and a drink, the oysters didn’t look fresh or even edible, my drink had a hair in it . I immediately sent oysters back , I took my drink to the bar and told the bartender what was wrong and with an attitude he made a new one , this time not assembling the drink entirely and was very brief and sarcastic. Also, prior to seating at the bar I informed wait staff I’ll now just dine at the bar since I was already indoors. My experience from staff once seated was uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I didn’t even drink the first or second drink or eat anything, I just politely informed the bar tender this is below standards for my expectations when dining out and that he can inform the staff in the kitchen which was right behind him I was leaving and not interested. The bar tender simply shrugged his shoulders didn’t care. As I’m getting into my ride a woman runs out yelling at me asking do I have an open tab. I looked at her and said how when I didn’t consume anything. i informed the bartender I was extremely disappointed. I ten say I’m sure he informed you , she rolls her eyes then walk away yelling well you could’ve just said something. I stopped her and told her clearly I did and directed her not to speak to me in that fashion. I proceeded to another establishment where I was able to enjoy the rest of my evening. The atmosphere here felt dark and gloomy a reflection of the employees working here.

Google
Great waterfront dining at prices almost half the Choptank, which is a huge plus for casual dining without breaking the bank. They had live music during happy hour. Options for table on the dock, covered patio. Crab dip and Boom-Boom shrimp were great starters. The Ahi tuna and skirt steak mashed, potatoes with asparagus always leaves me satisfied and coming back.

Google
This place is a must in Annapolis! It has a beachy and lay back atmosphere. Beautiful channel views! Everything that we had was absolutely delicious! We had fresh Oyster, clam chowder, and crab cakes with rice and vegetables. We will be back!

Yelp
In my personal opinion, this is a wonderful restaurant. The service is personal, attentive and staff all seem to be working together and happy. Fish and chips are fantastic and fairly priced. The cocktails average $10 each which coming from Nashville is a bargain. I wish the staff here the best of luck in seeing this location will be closing at the end of the year- It was a truly wonderful dinner and experience.

Yelp
Updated for Breakfast- I decided to try breakfast since it's wax staying in the hotel Omg I so regretted it! Had the oatmeal it came with a choice of bagel or muffin I didn't care for either but had the muffin It was a small bowl of flavorless oatmeal a sliced banana, tasted the muffin it had to be the worst I ever had also had a cup of coffee $20 Horrible service is attentive but I'll pass the next time I'm in town

Patrick L.

Yelp
Meh, lame place in my opinion. Super touristy, not personal and outdated. Find another place, waste of time. 2 stars

Brian W.

Yelp
Well.... Tonight we wanted to eat on the waterfront in Annapolis. We were immediately seated outside next to the water. The server immediately took our drink orders. The place wasn't busy. Most seats were empty. And still the service was so slow. I ordered the 2 entree dish... picked the jerk chicken and key west mahi. My wife picked the coconut shrimp and jerk tuna. Her daughter picked the pesto with chicken. My jerk chicken was tender and very good. Asparagus was delicious. The potatoes tasted like bland instant potatoes. My wife's coving shrimp was good but they only gave two. Very skimpy. Her ahi tuna was so bland. Not very special. The server only came to the table twice. Our dirty salad plates were never picked up. We were out of water for over 20min. By the time we were checked on for our food, we were 3/4 done. Just abysmal service. When I mentioned to the server that we have been out of water and were ready for the check 20-30min prior... not even sorry. She said have a good night. For a $120 bill for 3, this is NOt the service you pay for. I cannot recommend Pussers. These reviews giving them 2 stars saying it was bland were correct. Stay clear of this place,, it's not worth 60 bucks outside of the view. Horrible service.

Laks P.

Yelp
Really nice location close to the marina and good food options. I got the surf & turf and it was delicious. The service was great and the food came out really fast for all 3 members of my party. The outdoor seating is self seating and after we got seated, we went up to the bar and requested a server so that was a bit different, but it was smooth *sailing* from there. Would recommend!

Holly H.

Yelp
Lunch with a view. Taste that is the heart of Maryland. Stick with the basics. Crab cake sandwich and a Ginger Sea Dog. Life is complete in Annapolis. Stop by Pussers. Sit at the bar. Enjoy!!

Michael M.

Yelp
I had lunch at this restaurant recently. It is adjacent to a hotel and valet parking is available. I had the spicy fried shrimp appetizer and a tropical salad. Both were large portions and tasty. The spice level was moderate. Not extremely hot. You could taste the food without burning out your taste buds. The service was attentive but the restaurant had a sparse crowd the day I was there. They have outside dining under an awning as well as indoors table's behind a glass pane and you can see the water. Very scenic and good for a date Nothing truly unique or special which is why I give it 4 stars

Sean C.

Yelp
Pusser's has an awesome spot on the water - the scenery is perfect and amazing. We had a great waterside seat and I can imagine in the height of summer it is even better. The food was all good - nothing that was super incredible, but nothing that makes me say we should never go back. But, I would 200% request a table with a view, you won't be disappointed.

Shari D.

Yelp
We've been coming to Pusser's since 2021, and it's always been a great time. They've updates their food menu so there are more dishes to choose from! The drinks are always on point, and the service is friendly! The best thing about the location is the water, the views are amazing!! Sad to learn they'll be relocating in October, so check it out before the 31st.

Kay

Yelp
Pusser's is a gem along Ego Alley, perfect for soaking up the boat and people-watching scene. Our waitress was attentive, ensuring our glasses were never empty even with it being hot out and us constantly needing water refills! The food arrived promptly; although I wish the coconut shrimp starter had more than three pieces, they were delicious nonetheless. The grouper sandwich did not disappoint; a generous portion of fish accompanied by perfectly crispy fries ensured I didn't leave hungry. For those who like coconut shrimp, you will like this coconut fried grouper sandwich. For those not into seafood, there are plenty of other tasty options available. The outdoor patio offers ample seating with gorgeous waterfront views, perfect for enjoying a meal on a sunny day. Even if the weather isn't cooperating, the indoor seating is cozy. It was fun watching boats pull right up to the restaurant and tie off right besides the tables. Overall, Pusser's is a great spot for a casual meal with a view though you will pay ocean view prices.

Olivia O.

Yelp
Such a great spot in Annapolis. Boats can come and dock right up here! They have a huge indoor seating area along with an outdoor dining area as well. We always opt for the outdoor bar. So much character to this place. Great crushes and their famous pain killer drink is great!

Carol L.

Yelp
Wonderful place. Only thing I would change is I would like the door closed or some heaters on because it was a little chilly on the indoor patio. We split two lobster tails and a petite filet mignon. delicious! Service was friendly and helpful. We will be back.

Donyiel C.

Yelp
I finally made it here. My brother had talked about this place for years. I can't believe it took me this long to get here. I recently learned that they'll be closing in a few months. I'll be back before that happens. The views are amazing. That alone is worth a visit. The food is ok and the drinks are good. Service was great. Parking isn't so great though. Come check out Pusser's before they're gone!

Cindy M.

Yelp
Below average food for high costs, WAITER DUMPED UNFINISHED DRINKS INTO THE RIVER!!! Family wanted to eat next to the Annapolis waterfront during a day out- we were disappointed. I ordered a simple cheese burger and it was way too salty! I could've gone to McDonalds for a better meal. Along with the aforementioned waiter who was cleaning up a table and dumped drinks into the river in plain sight to everyone, and the ear piercing horn of the boats- I would not recommend this place unless it made some serious changes.

Nini A.

Yelp
We had a lovely time sitting outside on a beautiful day, enjoying the view of boats passing by. The orange crushes were incredible--fresh and packed with just the right amount of liquor. The food was decent; we ordered the boiled shrimp, which was slightly overcooked, but honestly, you're here more for the outdoor ambiance. On a perfect day, the atmosphere really makes the experience.

Stuart W.

Yelp
The food was hot and fresh:. We were seated outside by the water. The weather was perfect. The service was good and attentive.

Karen P.

Yelp
Loved the view sitting outside on the water. The painkiller drink was perfect. Enjoyed the clam chowder soup. The jerk chicken wrap was tasty but surprised there was a slice of cheese on it which totally threw off the flavor. Service was very good too.

Jeff H.

Yelp
A place to drink and visit right on the docks! The bartender was very hospitable and the historical atmosphere and ambiance was perfect for the trip there.

H L.

Yelp
We had a wonderful dining experience here. No wait, got seated right on the water! Such a great view. The service was amazing! And the food was really great! Chicken pasta & the flounder with vegetables. Really good! We'd definitely come back next time we're in Annapolis!

Jasmine M.

Yelp
Such a nice getaway from reality in our backyard! I love the atmosphere off the water! All the boats can just drive ride up and get out. It's an indoor, patio, or outdoor bar patio which is pretty cool. So if you just want the bar feel outside off the water or inside at the bar...they have both. The drinks were good and food was okay. I enjoyed the oyster Rockefeller and clam chowder

Rashonna T.

Yelp
A simple Breakfast with a stunning view. Service was good, food was good. View was great:)

David B.

Yelp
The only two good things about this place is the location on the water and the cost. That's it. Food is mediocre at best, the drinks... nothing special. Luckily for you, they don't charge much for the terrible food. I did spend a couple of hours drinking beer and margaritas outside one afternoon and that was nice. But don't take anyone one here for a decent meal!

Rebecca H.

Yelp
The view of the water on the outdoor patio is nice. I would try to get a seat outside if possible. The atmosphere inside was not as good. I thought the food here was great. The crab cake sandwich and the fish and chips were satisfying and the oysters tasted fresh. I also liked their drinks. The rum punch and white wine were refreshing on a warm day.

Melody A.

Yelp
Listen those Pusser's® Painkillers are everything. I love the outdoor patio and bar area. Right on the water. Beautiful view, great service and good food. I recommend the coconut shrimp and crab-cake sandwich. Stop on by, you won't be disappointed.

James H.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday after walking around Annapolis. I was seating right away and to get a view of the water. Our server met us immediately and got our drink and appetizer orders. The food itself was okay. The Oysters Rockefeller were delicious, however, I've had better crab cake sandwiches. The view of the water was excellent and fun to see boats leave their docks. If you're ever in Annapolis this a good place to stop by. Food comes out quick and the view of the water makes it worth it.

Mike M.

Yelp
This is an amazing place. If you sit outs the deck you are right by the water. The crab dip was so good. The bread was a perfect compliment. I am glad I ordered the second loaf of bread. The crab cake was also yummy. I did not love the fish and chips as much as everything else. I am not sure if it was the batter that I did no like or was it slightly over cooked. Overall, I really enjoyed the dinner.

Tamaria D.

Yelp
So this is my second time coming here and I will have to say it was better then the first. My goodness the ahi poke Crisp was DELICIOUS!!! I mean it was so good I ordered 2 and took one home ‍. Oysters were fresh and that's the most important part. Our waiter was very accommodating and relaxed to deal with our party of 7. Had a double of Tito's and they didn't pour dumb. So that was worth the money. We sat inside but right off the water. It was a beautiful day so it had nice summer vibes. It was a lovely experience.

Ellen E.

Yelp
My order of French toast was pretty bare-bones. Service was fine. We sat indoors for the AC--fine, nothing special.

Nikki H.

Yelp
Just ok. We had dinner after sailing on the Woodwinds II. The location is perfect as u r right in the dock. The service was good also. But the food is just OK. I had the salmon which lacked flavor. The hubs had the 2-for salmon & jerk tuna. Again just ok. Not much flavor. My bloody mary was good. But really this place is probably only good for mediocre bar food bites and drinks. The view is the best thing.

Tiffany W.

Yelp
Not a single item on this menu has flavor! In fact the food was so bad that I'm currently writing this review at the table. I came with a large party (about 15 people). Things we ordered: Crab Cake Sandwich - mushy and no flavor Boom Boom Shrimp - they were ok Tropical Salad - was fine Jerk Chicken Wrap - had guacamole in it for some reason? Chicken was cold and wasn't jerk at all Sides of fries - came out cold So overall there are soooo many other places in Annapolis right alone the water so save yourself and don't look twice at Pussers!!!

Paige N.

Yelp
The view is what makes this restaurant, it was great to be on the water! The food was JUST ok. Drinks were good.

Megan M.

Yelp
I would not say this is a place to stay and eat, but if you're looking to get a drink or have a night out, this is definitely the place!!! My coworker brought me here for drinks and the drinks I had were very good. I think the best part however, was their patio!! It's right on the water on "ego alley" (I think that's what it's called lol) where we could watch all the big boats put by. It was fun. It was Navy graduation while I was there, so this place was PACKED but that made it more fun. Cool spot, gave me college vibes.

Matt H.

Yelp
Here's what I love about Pusser's... it's tried and true for me and my family. We don't come expecting a waterfront table at 6:00 on a Friday night when the entire Annapolis area (and beyond) is looking to dine at this popular spot... This time, it was 4:45 on a Tuesday and we had no problem getting a great spot with an amazing view and refreshing breeze. We had excellent service by Savanah and her "posse" of helpers. The food never disappoints us and the prices have held steady while many of our favorite places have doubled in price or more over the recent years. We had an amazing meal and everybody was stuffed by the time the check came. Thank you to Pusser's for making our celebration a night to remember!

Laurie W.

Yelp
Great service, amazing Fish & Chips, good cocktails, perfect location. Our waiter was busy but smiling & attentive. It was during the boat show so very busy but we found a table in the bar area. Would definitely visit again!!!

DON C.

Yelp
Always a Great experience and decent food! I've been coming to this restaurant for many years now and the food and service are always good. I spent a weekend in Annapolis and had one dinner and one lunch here so this review is for the combined experience. Due to the Covid19 situation, I hadn't come in a while so I was looking forward to the experience and it was as great as always. The view of the City Dock and the boating atmosphere are second to none, no matter what time of the day. I ordered, what else, these stiff drinks called Painkillers and as expected they were very well prepared. We ordered Coconut Shrimp, Ahi Tuna, Steak, Salmon, all was tasty and properly done. The star of the night was their version of a Rasta Pasta -- Grilled Jerk Chicken w/ Shrimp was superb. Just make sure you ask for extra Alfredo sauce. This way you can enjoy this dish to your liking -- a little sauce or like me....A lot of Alfredo! Even though the food is good, I would come here just for the views, outdoor bar scene and the drinks. But, truthfully speaking....I always end up having full meals, dessert and coffee included, love the Key Lime pie. Overall great experience from the hostesses, waiters and menu. I would recommend coming here. Best location, good food, good service and amazing views/boat watching. So when in Annapolis and looking for something to do...add this place to the list at least for drinks and a to chill...take it all in. A visit to Annapolis without dropping by at Pusser's at least for the views & "Painkiller" drinks wouldn't be complete!

C S.

Yelp
We live local and love to go and belly up to bar inside, there's always a seat. The food we've had and continue to go back for has been great. Recommendations: Tuna poke Jerk chicken quesadillia Oysters Rockefeller Shrimp and grits Pain Killer

Toya K.

Yelp
I've been to this place several times and the food was really good! However, I called to make a reservation on Friday, January 12, 2024 for Saturday, January 13, 2024. I was told by the representative that I would be getting a text to confirm my reservation for a party of 8 via text. I waited 10 minutes and called back to the restaurant to let the same rep know that I hadn't received the confirmation text. She stated that I should receive it within the hour but I never received said confirmation. I will not be visiting again.

Thomas V.

Yelp
The oysters rockveller was best I had. Girlfriend had Coconut shrimp. We read reviews and knew what we were getting. Went in on a Saturday afternoon between lunch and dinner. Service was above average. Appetizers were very good but pricy compared to the rest of the town. View is what you go for. Bar drinks are strong. I recommend the Pain Killers. The reason for the three prices under the hurricanes is the amount of liquor (reg, strong, super strong)

Steven S.

Yelp
Looking at some of the other reviews, you might get the wrong idea. If you look young(er) and try to get into a bar on the weekend, you are going to get carded. Bring your ID. Luckily, I don't have that problem of looking young anymore. The food and atmosphere were perfect! Service was on-point! Highly recommend...just bring your ID if you still look young-ish.

Junavy F.

Yelp
The drinks and the nightlife are a good time and is a classic when visiting Annapolis. However, I came here for lunch and was not impressed at all. The service is good, the prices are okay, but I don't think the food is really all that good. The crab dip was too mayonnaise-y and there wasn't enough crab. The quesadilla was bland and the salsa wasn't authentic and was weirdly warm. Overall, I recommend this spot for the drinks and the waterside vibes but don't go here for the food!

V. G.

Yelp
The location of this restaurant is good, we enjoyed the view. The food is ok, not very flavorful. After getting home we realized that my husband forgot his sunglasses. I called the restaurant and Ella (sp?) who answered the call, confirmed they had his Ray Bans and left them with the general manager . I let her know we will come to the restaurant next weekend to pick them up. I also Called 2 days prior the weekend to confirm the sunglasses were there and that we plan to get them on Sunday. When we arrived on Sunday the front door person informed us that the manager is on premise but too busy and it will take time to find him. I left my phone number and we went for a walk. 3 hours later we still didn't hear back and returned to the restaurant. When the restaurant manager finally met us he stated he never saw our sunglasses. I asked if I can see Ella. He replied that she was probably one of the servers and not working that day. Next day I called the restaurant to speak to Ella but was told they don't have Ella on staff. This was a bizarre experience. Their staff was irresponsible and disrespectful in the way they handled this matter. We live in a different state and the drive to and from took almost 4 hours.

Thomas Z.

Yelp
Terrible. Told us on the phone we dock free with dinner...they charged $13 for a dinghy!! Lol...free dock is 50 yards away.. dinner was below average. They advertise a happy hour 3-6---we asked about happy hour and the said they don't have one?? What a mess...

Krista S.

Yelp
I went to Pusser's with my guy. We are new to the area and his co worker recommended that we come here for drinks and food. I have to say we were not disappointed. We sat at the bar. The bartenders were very friendly. We both ordered a Pain killer ended up ordering a couple more. They were so good. I have never tasted a drink quite like that. We ordered a couple appetizers. Their Coconut shrimp was very good. We also ordered their oysters. They were very good as well. We had such a great experience we went back today for lunch.... We had their claim Chowder. If you like claim Chowder you will love theirs.. Has a great taste and fills you up.. Our waitress was very nice and full of smiles... I will definitely be going back to try more of their delicious food and cocktails...

Rhonda S.

Yelp
This is my husband and I's first time to this restaurant. We enjoyed the service, food and ambiance. Very relaxing place to eat on a Sunday evening. We were able to dine outside which is the absolute best place to be on a great weather day. We were too full for desert.

Milo C.

Yelp
Don't come unless it's to look out the window at the view. In that case, come and grab a nice refreshing glass of water. As a hotel restaurant, and guests of the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel, I was expecting something a little nicer but we got fish and chips in a basket, and having looked at other peoples food, I landed on the pasta. We had a bottle open from the hotel, to which the hotel suggested we bring the bottle down to the bar -- the bar wouldn't open it until after we ate and we're headed upstairs. That experience mixed with the food gives them 2 stars. I wouldn't come back unless it was for the location.

Danielle C.

Yelp
I'm so upset about my experience there this past Sunday, September 15th. Me, my 4 year old daughter, husband, and sister visited this restaurant for my husband and daughter's birthday. We ordered, saw and tasted the food and something wasn't right. My sister immediately sent her food back. My husband tried his best not to send his back, and I didn't send mines back out of fear we would get another nasty or blank stare from the waiter. Who was very cold and didn't look like she cared about us being there or serving us. We also ordered appetizers which we ate. Boy I wish we didn't. My daughter couldn't even make it home before she projectile threw up in our car on the way back home. I was the next victim and then my husband. We spent my daughter's birthday, September 17th fighting food poisoning. Poor baby! And celebrated both of their birthday at a place that made us all sick. $180 we paid to be poisoned with bad customer service. I would not recommend this place at all. I honestly think food inspectors should go check this place out. Don't go and risk your health and lose your money! There are tons of other really great restaurants nearby. Like Choptank! So worth the money, great food, staff with great attitudes.

Gianna K.

Yelp
Had dinner, crab cakes, there yesterday. On our way back home to Pa. I became violently ill. Had to pull over several times. The nausea and vomiting was so severe I ended up in the ER. Never suffered so much. Thinking of contacting the health dept. People please be careful of the food at this place,

Oenihss D.

Yelp
Food options could be better but what we got was satisfying enough to satisfy the hunger and within budget. They were only two options for vegetarian but then again is a seafood focused restaurant. I was not expecting to have more than one. Plus, most of the stuff was fried with heavy sauce. Is in my perspective the typical seafood American restaurant with a nice view :) . The restaurant was able to provide me with the option of pasta which were on the dinner menu for lunch and mashed potatoes. I did not want to be a party downer while celebrating my friend's birthday with a dental surgery that occurred about a week before my visit to the area. We chose the restaurant because we saw they had either options but they were only offered for dinner. The service, maybe is because we won the lottery but they were pretty responsive and took our orders promptly . Plus they were pretty good at reading our cues. Ambiance, we got luck and got the chance to sit right in front of the docks. It was a sunny and busy day at the restaurant. I did not get the chance to see the drinks menu nor the dessert menu. I might come back again to try some of the options that were on the menu and could not try.

Paul G.

Yelp
Man Pusser's you hold a good spot in my heart.. I've been here countless times.. it's my girlfriend and I start out spot when coming to Annapolis. That Painkiller drink definitely kills the pain! The outdoors is where I'm at ever time. Looking at the boat imagining I have a yacht that's about to pull up on me! Love going here when the boat show is going on as well. The fries hit every time with the shrimp! Also we love going to visit the souvenir shop where we speak to this amazing lady name maggy.. such warm energy
