Putte's Bar & Pizza Kalevankatu

Super relaxed place with really cool music — very hip vibe. The pizza was insanely good, with a super thin base and a perfectly crispy crust, almost like in Italy. The only thing that was a bit annoying (which wasn’t the restaurant’s fault) were the seagulls. The staff did their best to clear away leftover food quickly, but sometimes it was just too late, and the birds went for it. Other than that, there’s really nothing to complain about. I’d definitely go back! Especially in the evening, I bet it turns into a really cool bar atmosphere.

Stopped off here while on holiday in Helsinki and was very impressed. Great atmosphere and fairly priced high quality pizza. Would definitely recommend to anybody in the area and will absolutely visit again when I'm next in Helsinki. The toilets were the cleanest I went into in my entire week in Finland.

We tried the Chilli Caesar Pizza and the burrata. The pizza wasn’t too spicy, so those who are hesitant can give it a try. The burrata was also decent. The staff were very attentive, and the place has a vibrant atmosphere. Pizza: 4/5 Burrata: 3.5/5

Numerous variety of pizza but out of them I will suggest either try funghi and chilius cesar it is bit spicy but I bet you won’t regret also their dips are fire. And don’t forget to order putte nachos with coffee. Staff is nice can speak English take care of hygiene clean toilet I must say this is a go to place in centre Helsinki.

Interesting place with interesting pizzas (I had with a reindeer meat). Average restaurant price, size of pizza is quite good for one person. Good atmosphere, nice posters on the walls and pretty good location. Very nice place for sitting with friends and chatting, not too loud inside. Pizza was good and tasty

We had two pizzas - one with chilli from the vegetarian list, but we asked to add pepperoni. Another one was a special one with walnuts and blue cheese. Both were very tasty! We also had four beers, which were on a pricier side, but quite normal for Helsinki. Staff was very friendly, welcoming and kept the place clean. The place was quite busy, so it was a nice atmosphere.

Solid Pizza option with some interesting options. I had the lamb pizza, which was unique and tasty. They have a great selection of beers as well. The prices are quite high considering it's a pizza place, but the quality was great.

Awesome pizza, the WORST service EVER. I love the pizza dough - as a gluten free eater putte's always delivers great value. However the service is absolute shit. Somehow the people think they're above their customers and do not need to be polite, considerate or any other thing considered essential anyplace else where customer service is part of the business. I got so pissed off I left my order and walked out. Get a grip people of Puttes! You just lost a customer.

Great pizza, in a nice place with pleasant drinks, and good wine are the start of what you get here. The rest is a Finnish hipstertastic experience. From the Weezer playing on the stereo to the fully pierced and tattooed staff - I was thinking I was in Portland. Good news is I liked the place, I really loved the place and I'll go back when I can. I'll just remember to wear flannel.

Good pizza place for a thin crust pie. We went here on a Sunday night and it wasn't too busy. Order at the bar then sit down and wait for the goodness to arrive. We ordered a Margherita and a Serrano ham, cherry tomato & Arugula (one of the specials). Both were tasty. Don't get me wrong, I didn't think I was back in NYC or anything, but they were quite good. Nice tasting crust and good, fresh ingredients. The food was delivered quickly and the staff was good. I will go back when in town. Beer selection was slightly below average.

The guy at the bar/register was nice and joking with us and super nice to a guy that seemed to speak only French, trying to help him out as best he could. The pizzas came out super fast, and they were just about average in my opinion. Lots to choose from and it seems like rotating specials. Nice atmosphere, ample seating, cool clientele ranging from the hip and the cool to the square and nerdy. Families too! Good volume for table conversation and a ridiculously good playlist that night. Approved!

It's a bar with very good pizzas. Came her for lunch and ordered the fungi pizza. In the center of Helsinki. I'm told good bar scene at night.

So, I came here one night a few weeks ago and had a delicious pizza, came back the next night (when it was a lot busier) to order the same thing, which I did. But the wrong pizza arrived. I took it up with the kitchen and they were cool to remake it, then the waitress intervened. She told me "well that's what you paid for" - sorry I didn't add up all the items I got to work out of you got my order right, and this also was said in a manner that made me feel like I was trying to cheat them out of 4 euro. She also claimed that this pizza was "just as good". She shamed me into just taking the pizza they gave me when I didn't like the primary ingredient on it. I did not appreciate that she felt the need to talk down and condescend to me. Everyone else (the kitchen staff especially) was much kinder, and the ambience was fun, but this one waitress ruined my experience entirely - I ended up taking the pizza to go just so I could get out of there. So disappointing.

Atmosphere: cool and familiar. Location: great, very central. Food: delicious, if you're female/not too hungry you can also share one pizza! Music: Latin, Charts,... fun!

Trendy Italian style pizzeria. You will not find tens of different kind of pizzas here, just few so it should be easier to decide what you have. Try their pizza Margherita. It's goooood!

The only flavour pizza available is salt no matter the toppings so just order the cheapest one

First of all, I must say that I really liked the pizza there. They don´t have a lot of topping options though. Cold beer and cider was a plus. Good music (though a Bowie cd on repeat got a little annoying after some time...) and good atmosphere. Good place to go with a group of friends and relax and talk.

Puttes is a really fun place to hang out, eat some delicious pizza and get a little (or very) intoxicated. They have a limited yet satisfying selection of pies and I trust their wines! In the summer you can sit outside and enjoy their pizza under the midnight sun, in the winter you can mingle indoors and dance to whatever funky tunes they've got playing. Puttes has a pretty cosmopolitan/hipster vibe, which I would usually feel pretty annoyed about but in Helsinki that's actually a good thing! I would give this place 5 stars, but if you visit there more than once you'll find that the quality of the pizza is inconsistent. A real a bummer, cause when they're good, they're REALLY good! And no one want's to pay $20 for Meh.

Some say it's the only real Italian pizza place in Helsinki. Others just go there for the athmosphere. Putte's is a nice and very centrally located pizzeria in Kalevankatu. You won't find any fancy pizza topping like at Skiffer here but if you are more into the standards like salami, funghi and margherita this is definately the place to go. It's also a nice hangout for a beer or wine after work and since it's so spacious you should always be able to find a table (at least during the week).

Pizza is so nice and salad is also good. Price is also reasonable.. and what else. Good vibe, fast service. All the thins were super good for foreigners :)

Great pizza joint in downtown. It had a good vibe, lots of people on a Tuesday night, good selection of pizzas, beer, and wine. I definitely would eat here again.

Honestly, I don't eat pizza out much as it seems show up at work and parties enough to keep that hankering at bay. But this is just a great pizza place, perfectly located centrally but just a tad outside the downtown crowds. Thin crisp crust and super fresh toppings with an excellent soundtrack of post punk and r and b. I t sort of puts off a vibe when you walk in of being hipper-than-thou (and may well be) but the staff are genuinely welcoming. Decor is somewhere between art gallery and uni dorm. Gets crowded but people move in and out quickly. I've been here each time I've been to Helsinki and will go again. You can drop a lot of cash eating out in Helsingfors, and it is often worth it. But this is a place to go to relax and have a genuinely great meal for modest coin. Protip: Sit outside and sidewalk people watch in summer -but do not bring the interior chairs outside!

Putte's is one of those places I, in a neutral way, well, like. No strong feelings in one direction or the other. The pizzas are quite heavy on the dough which I (a sworn friend of carbs) like, but I know some people find them too doughy. The wine is fairly cheap, the interiors are nice, the location is great and the worst hipsterness (can't believe I used that word, ugh) has worn off.

Cold beer with okayish pizzas. Nothing that special but you get your tummy full of better than average pizza in relaxed bar setting.

Thin and crispy pizzas with very little flavour. They have some interesting ideas on the menu, but don't translate into good pizzas sadly. OK setting, but not too comfortable either.

Fun and chill place for pizzas and beer. Not fancy nor uptight, but lots of great inventive pizzas served with a nice vibe and great music.

Likely one of the best pizza restaurants in Helsinki, but far from being anything special outside of this country. Finland seems to have mostly kebab-style pizza, so having something with a little extra quality is nice. The lunch salad is pretty decent and the price is okay (11e-15e).

The most absurd business model I've seen. So you pay 2,50 to "leave your jackets" and then wait for a table for 30 minutes. A great place to visit on Friday night. They sure needed that extra 2,50. Just wow.

Awesome place. Great pizza. Definitely go there. Different style of pizza. There's a good casual atmosphere but still good quality.

Right amount of ingredients. 6 pizza to choose from so no confusions. Thin crust, crispy on the edges. Good price. Goes head to head with Vespa. Music was a bit loud but that might be just a coincidence.

The only place that serves (good) food in Helsinki after 22pm. Friendly stuff. Hopefully there would be more places like this.
