it's Sunday, my wife's working, and I'm on kid duty, trying to come up with something different to do. Putt-putt has always been a family pastime of ours, so when I saw this new indoor interactive putt-putt course in the newly revamped Strip District, I figured, why not?
We arrived right when the doors opened, and the hosts were polite, though I wouldn't say they were rolling out the red carpet for us. As first-timers, we were just trying to figure out the basics--how to log in, set up a reservation, where to go. Eventually, we made it to our designated area, which required a bit of logistical maneuvering. We got assigned to the blue section.
Now, let's be clear: this isn't a cheap outing. But it's a unique one, and I'm all about doing something different with the family. For that reason, I'd say it was worth it. But would I take the kids again at this price? Probably not. Maybe just the wife and me for a date night--we could hit the bar, grab a drink, and really enjoy the vibe. We didn't try the food because, let's be real, taking kids out to eat these days can easily set you back a hundred bucks, and I'm not about that life right now.
What makes this place special is the variety: Pong putt-putt, Trivia putt-putt, Target putt-putt, Wheel of Fortune putt-putt--you name it, they've got it. It's seriously cool, and I encourage everyone to check it out at least once. You might find you love it, or maybe you'll agree with me that it's more of a one-and-done kind of thing.
My one piece of advice to the owner? This place is awesome, but maybe consider offering some family-friendly times or pricing during the week when it's less busy. Right now, you're looking at about $45 for the three of us, and the whole experience is over in about 15 minutes. It leaves you feeling a bit unsatisfied, like you could've used just a little more bang for your buck. But I get it--cool experiences come with a price tag
