Pyramid Café is located inside the Luxor, and on paper, it seems like a solid choice--especially if you're staying in the hotel and want a quick, reasonably priced bite without venturing too far. And while it *is* convenient and the portions are generous, the overall experience left a lot to be desired.
Let's start with the service. Even though there were several empty tables in plain sight, it still took a solid 15 minutes just to be seated. No explanation, no "we'll be right with you"--just a lot of waiting while staff moved at what felt like a glacial pace. It didn't seem particularly busy, so the slow service was confusing and frustrating, especially first thing in the morning when all you want is coffee and something hot to eat.
I ordered the breakfast burrito, which, to their credit, was *huge*--definitely filling and a good value for the price. But unfortunately, that's where the praise for the food stops. The burrito was dry, lacked any real seasoning or flavor, and needed about three sides of salsa to make it remotely interesting. If you're just trying to fill your stomach before a long day walking the Strip, it'll do the job. But if you're looking for a satisfying or memorable breakfast, this isn't it.
One thing Pyramid Café *does* have going for it is price. For Vegas, it's on the affordable side, and the portions are generous enough that you're getting solid value. And again, if you're staying at the Luxor, the convenience can't be beat--just don't expect gourmet service or standout flavors.
In short, it's a "good enough" kind of place: decent for a quick, no-frills breakfast, especially if you're prioritizing cost and convenience over taste or atmosphere. Just be prepared to wait longer than you should for something that's ultimately pretty forgettable.
