The 22 Restaurants That Turned Us Into Dedicated Regulars in 2018 | Bon Appétit
"A combined butcher shop and lunch counter run by a husband-and-wife team offering home-cooked Egyptian-influenced lunches; the daily beef gyro—made with a special blend of Egyptian spices—is a local go-to and reflects the owners' immigrant culinary traditions." - ByThe Bon Appétit Staff
I really love buying my food here. But they gotta work better on their hamburgers. The meat burgers are not well grilled.

Beef burgers are too salty. Make sure to call and order. They don’t always monitor any online orders from DoorDash

Where should I begin. First of all this place is great. It has hot and ready food .
They have pure honey and all the little things you need. And my favorite is the meats. They have ground chicken and beef. I get the steaks and ground beef and I love it.! The place is heart of the Northside for all you needs!

Very inconsistent with their food, especially the chicken. The lady that owns the place is very rude and rasict towards black women. The way she talks to people is sad.

I'm glad my fiancée brought me. The owner was very pleasant and helpful to all my questions. I ended up getting Bourbon Chicken with yellow rice, veggie mixture and some spinach. My fiancee got the Curry Chicken with white rice, kidney beans and some spinach. Every single bite was delightful, full of flavor and the chicken was juicy and tender. Grateful we have leftovers to enjoy tomorrow 😋

Our first visit was last week. Another today. We'll be regulars.
Very friendly. Family owned. Very good quality beef. Comparative prices compared to other organic quality meats.
Excellent prepared food ready to go. Much more.
Worth stopping in to look around.

Hard to go wrong here. Best friend chicken in town. Best. Fried. Chicken. Not even the best chicken dish, that would be the bourbon chicken. And then, really if you need any other kind of meat, one of the best value butchers around. Great people, too.

Yelp
This place blew us away. Don't let the location scare you, safe during the day. Great food, great portions, fair and reasonable pricing. Unique offerings, lamb, oxtail, goat, chicken several ways including deep fried and curried, mainly a to go venue. So worth a visit, the flavors were delightful, get the yellow rice and beans as sides. Your first visit won't be your last.

Yelp
Bomb. Ma and I were shopping around cuse and looking for some food. She's from Brooklyn so she prefers these little hole in the wall, authentic places. It's actually a small store / take out restaurant. Ma got a gyro and I got a gyro platter which comes with all of the fixings - vegetables, rice, pita, and white sauce of course. Servings are huge, prices are fair, and service is friendly. They also have OXTAIL, Curry goat, stew beef. Dellliiiicouuussss. Will definitely be back here!

Yelp
I really need to remember to try their prepared food here.
I got a tray of baklava, and it was expensive but SO EXCELLENT. I only really felt the need to eat one a day, so it lasted a long time.
I also got some lamb chops and some chicken thighs here. The meat was really high quality, which is one of the benefits of getting your meat in a Halal place- they don't mess around with having high quality meat.
They have a number of items for sale here that aren't so easy to find elsewhere, so it's worth browsing around, as well.

Yelp
Review from Bon Appetit: "Pyramids Halal Meats, Syracuse, NY
"Pyramids Halal has become my go-to lunch spot when I'm visiting family in Syracuse. Hani Mahmood runs the butcher shop while Tatiana, his wife, makes the incredible home-cooked lunches on the side. Everyday she prepares the most incredible beef gyro using a special blend of Egyptian spices. Hailing from Russia and Egypt, respectively, she and Hani relocated to Syracuse in 2004, and she's inherited a lot of cooking traditions from her in-laws." --Michelle Heimerman, visuals editor". https://www.bonappetit.com/story/restaurants-we-loved-2018

Yelp
The food was amazing! The shawarma was sooo delicious and the baklava was exquisite! The best Egyptian food you will find anywhere in upstate NY! The owner and his wife are so kind and hospitable, my kids, father and I had an amazing experience and will definitely be back again:)

Yelp
I went to Pyramids Halal Meats today with about three pounds of turkey drumsticks to be cut into pieces by the butcher. They did so to exact precision, quickly, and did not charge me! I expected to pay at least a few dollars. I even offered to donate a bit. The gentleman that I met was friendly, and appeared to be possibly the owner or a manager.
To summarize, my first visit was a great experience. We'll definitely be going back to give them some business!
