I was very pleasantly surprised by the service and delicious food in this place. Sam is an amazing sensitive person who discovered a new favorite dish for me, which I will gladly order many more times. The atmosphere of the place reminds me a lot of downtown Boston. The food is very fresh, everything was served very beautifully, smiling employees who pay attention to each client. I’m allergic to onions, my request was treated with special attention here. Thank you for the wonderful atmosphere and delicious dishes that are suitable for the whole family.

We went here on a short trip to Salem. Ordered take out but when I went in to pick it up - was pleasantly surprised about the the atmosphere inside. Even more impressed by how clean the kitchen looked. Usually pizza places are dingy and greasy, but this place looked so clean, which always makes me happy when eating at a restaurant. The best part was the pizza! We got a margherita and a chicken bacon ranch pizza - and my kids and I think it was the best pizza we have ever had! My kids NEVER eat the crust and they actually did with this pizza. So good, crispy but not hard to eat. Not greasy and just the right amount of sauce and toppings. Will be hard to top this pizza on the South shore! Small pizzas are a little expensive, but worth it.

Great pizza. I grabbed a slice of cheese and a drink after enjoying Pioneer village. Great place for delicious quick food. Loved having slices ready to go

PZA is a wonderful place with excellent food, at reasonable prices and even better customer service. I saw one of the managers take a customer's food out (without the customer asking), because he had a baby in his arms. You rarely find personal service such as that. The pizza and chicken wings are the best around!

Beware if you do takeout here. The presentation is not good. The pizza came soggy and falling off the slice. I will say it tastes pretty good. But the presentation is completely off. The price is a little too steep but passable for what you get. If you don’t go for the Tuesday deal, it’s too expensive. The mozzarella sticks were pretty good and the fries were passable. Not sure if I’ll be back. What a shame since I thought the ingredients were good and fresh.

We ordered three pizzas for delivery and only two were delivered. The gluten free pizza was not delivered. PZA uses DoorDash for delivery - their choice and one pays PZA directly. Upon the driver explaining they only received two pizzas and I watched the delivery driver the whole way and they came directly to the delivery address. I also checked the drivers car. I called the restaurant and the person the answered insisted they handed the driver three pizzas and would not honor the fact that three pizzas were paid for and only two made and delivered. The restaurant insisted it was a door dash issue. Again the restaurant contracts out door dash so there is no means by which to put in a complaint with door dash. The person that answered at the restaurant hung up on me the customer and become very argumentative. It does appear from other reviews this is a trend. Please don’t order from this restaurant for delivery they do not honor their customers orders and are extremely rude. UPDATE I have changed my review to service of 5 stars and included the fact that the pizza was very good. The owner contacted me directly and is making everything right. I would go back and recommend that with such high customer service that you should check them out if in the area.

It's a fancy pizza restaurant but way over priced for the portions. Chicken ceaser wrap was delicious but pizza sliced were sitting out too long

Yelp
I found PZA on my way to an appointment. Stopped for a quick bite. The restaurant is very nice, more restaurant than pizza joint. Nice staff. The pizza is great, crispy crust lots of delicious cheese and good toppings. The salads are great. Super fresh and large. Already been back once. They also have beer & wine if you want to go for a dinner meal. Try it!

Yelp
This is the best gluten free, vegan pizza I've ever had out! Delicious! I even got a specialty pizza - pickle pizza, yum!!! My husband said his pizza he got was the best he had so far this week! Great job! Place is clean and nice inside.

Yelp
Absolutely no complaints. And a big shout out to y'all for delivering in Oct when almost no restaurants will even do takeout and every place has an hour+ wait. Dill pickle pizza- fab! Chicken tenders- great. Fries - no complaints. Chicken parm - good and huge portion. Totally worth it.

Yelp
I work down the street at Salem state. I bring my daughter and husband here for their Tuesday specials. They are always so friendly and welcoming and the pizza and wings are amazing!

Yelp
Worst gluten free pizza I have ever eaten! I tried it 2x and both times just awful and the crust was not even cooked. Do better PZA. $22.00 for a pizza that got thrown in the trash

Yelp
Quick lunch during student drop off at Salem State. Had a chicken kabab wrap. Very good. Fries were crisp and tasty. Can't wait to try the pizza! Ordering was easy and staff super friendly.

Yelp
I like how they use blue cheese instead of red sauce on the buff chix pizza, the crust is different, a mix between greek and Italian, crispy

Yelp
I ordered again from them this week; hubs got the meat lovers pizza, just the right size for him. I wanted something a little healthier, so I took a chance and ordered their steak tip power bowl. Yummo! Beautifully cooked steak, lovely roasted peppers, onions, and a mix of quinoa, rice, and Israeli couscous made for a nice balanced dinner! Add the dressing and some balsamic thing; wow, it's terrific!

Yelp
I went to the original PZA when it first opened a while back when the University had the building they occupy built. Solid products being offered even now under the new owners. I'm pretty sure they got the recipes, too, when they bought the business. I'm receiving offers from them regularly by being on their mailing list and do try to get by for the pizza which is pretty good.

Yelp
Clean and modern interior. It was very quiet, as the place was empty. Employee was on their phone, so i waited an awkward about of time then said excuse me. Pizza was cheese, just to see if the warning I was given could be true. What I could not get over was this sweetness and weird taste in the sauce. The crust was very unremarkable and the cheese very bland. I was very hungry but could only make myself eat about half a slice. I'll be going down the street to prime gas station Vesuvius or Christie's from now on. I am not exaggerating when I say I would much rather have had little Caesar's. This place was so good when it first opened, so I wanted to give it another shot. Maybe the salad or sandwiches would be a better choice - something that could be assembled and made with little skill and stays fresher longer

Yelp
I can't be sure but the dough for the small seems like the frozen pre-made doughs. I was disappointed. I don't know why I thought this was a more artesanal pizza shop. The pizza was OK. Like cafetería pizza. I haven't tasted the sub yet so I'll post a review on the steak and cheese later. Steak and cheese was very good-worthy of 4 stars.

Yelp
Food was good. We are from out of town and came here. Maybe we didn't look like locals because the employees here were very unwelcoming and looked almost annoyed to have to wait on us even though we were the only people in the whole place.

Yelp
Excellent service , excellent food & very nice people. This is in Salem near Salem University. Almost across the street. Diagonally.

Yelp
Solid food definitely a good local in and out spot. The inside seating is great so don't be shy to go in and sit

Yelp
I just finished another delicious meal from PZA Grille & Bar! I am so glad PZA re-opened recently. They are wonderful to have in the neighborhood! The Grilled Shrimp Power Bowl was fantastic and they made it for me without couscous so that it would be gluten free. Two other favorites of mine from recent weeks: the Big Mac Attack Pizza and the Pickle Pizza. I remember other folks in the neighborhood raving about those specialty pizzas before the pandemic. I am glad the new PZA Grille brought those two back and added them to the list of specialty pizzas. (If you have doubts about pickles on pizza, just give it a try. My friends convinced me to try and now it's probably my #1 pizza choice at PZA.) My husband has had slices of the gluten-ful pepperoni pizza and a burger - all good too! We highly recommend PZA Grille & Bar.

Yelp
For to go orders: we had stopped ordering from PZA a few years ago (before they closed) based on spotting service and food quality. We decided to try it again recently and glad we did. Not sure if it's a new owner, but the customer service is a much better experience. Steak and cheeses are great, pizza is good too. I've been happy with the delivery times/ service. They periodically run promos, which is great - it helps keep the cost down. Every pizza/sub shop has crazy prices now, so it's nice to get a deal once in a while. We will order again.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal food I went there for what I thought was gonna be a simple pizza is was absolutely amazing I loved it

Tyler R.

Yelp
Wife had two slices of pizza (pepperoni and chicken bacon ranch), and I had the steak and cheese sub. Lord, it was all so good. I couldn't eat my sandwich fast enough, but was secretly hoping I would have room for a slice of pizza to go. Unfortunately, I was stuffed. For as good as this place is, it was surprisingly not busy, especially being a weekend in late October (around lunchtime). I only ever review restaurants if they're really, really good or really, really bad; PZA is really, REALLY good! Bonus, the man serving us (owner maybe?) was quick and very welcoming. 10/10

Yelp
So glad this place reopened! We love the pizza and the gluten free pizza tastes like the real thing. The toppings are amazingly fresh. We had a small gathering and everyone commented on how fresh and delicious everything tasted. So excited to try the other things on the menu.

Susan R.

Yelp
Ordered a haddock plate and a chicken kabob sandwich and both were delicious!! Order was ready quickly and restaurant is immaculate and inviting! We order here frequently and we are always pleased!

Yelp
Can't say enough good things about PZA, I eat there almost every day. I love the small Buffalo chicken pizza, the cheese steak and the steak tip power bowl. Sam and the crew do a great job in providing a hot and delicious meal.
