The Best Banh Mi in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"At Q Bakery, customers buy bread by the bagged bunch. The bakery also offers banh mi, with classic flavors like grilled or BBQ pork and shredded chicken. There are also some less-common options ones as well. Banh mi ca moi comes with tinned sardines in tomato sauce, the vegetables countering the sandwich’s fishiness. Even better is banh mi chao tom, with a shrimp paste “cake” that’s squishy and slightly salty, a perfect partner to a fried egg." - Jay Friedman

Their banh mi was excellent — super flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The portion was generous, and the price was very reasonable. I loved it so much I had to come back again today to buy a bunch to bring back to Florida. Definitely a must-try spot if you love Vietnamese sandwiches!

Google
I recently bought their chạo tôm, which is a hot and greasy food item. They put it in a plastic-lined paper bag, which isn’t suitable for wet or oily food, it could easily rip. I asked if they could use a container instead, and they said it would cost me an extra dollar. I suggested they consider using proper packaging, like a paper box, if they’re selling hot food like this. When I asked to speak with the manager, the man at the counter said he was both the manager and the owner (Brian), then laughed and giggled with his employee instead of taking my concern seriously. To make things worse, I noticed they charged me for something I didn’t buy. When I pointed it out, he laughed again and handed me back the exact amount in cash even though I had paid by Visa card. He didn’t refund the tax I was charged. The whole experience felt careless and unprofessional. I’m sharing this so others can be aware: check your receipt carefully, and don’t expect great customer service here. It honestly felt like they didn’t care and were trying to take advantage of customers.

Google
Our favorite bánh mì spot in Seattle, especially for grabbing right before a hike. Amazing bread and flavorful, satisfying, and balanced filling. My favorites are the BBQ pork and the special combination. We have taken several out-of-town friends here, and two have requested a stop specifically at Q Bakery on their way to the airport so they can have more bánh mì before heading out 😋😋😋

Google
Bahn mi is what's well known here but don't miss the smoothies! Great texture, lots of fun flavor options, and more affordable than other smoothie places nearby.

Google
greeted me in Vietnamese which i appreciated. its not the best banh mi, but the bread is fresh, and its cheap , $6 in an expensive area of seattle. 100g baguette w/100g very thinly chicken thigh, 50g of carrot/daikon, a cucumber slice , cilantro, and thinly sliced jalapeno.

Google
The bakery has a variety of French and Vietnamese sandwiches and pastries and most of them are good and delicious. The price is reasonable for a bakery. I like the Grilled Pork and Ham sandwiches. However, the store is quite small which causes you more time to check out when it gets crowded. Hopefully, they can expand the store a little bit. Also, I love the Hue beef noodle here although it is not appeared in the menu. If you want it, you have to order via the staff. Overall, the store is clean, neat and awesome. I highly recommend this store to anyone

Google
This seems to be the spot for you to get bags of fresh baguettes. Once you enter this place, you can smell the fresh bread and see lines of people buying bags of the baguette. I had fomo and had to buy one as well as their banh mi. The baguette definitely was worth it. The banh mi was good, but I felt could use a little more seasoning to it.

Google
We picked up Bahn Mi’s, their sweet custard bread, and extra baguettes before heading over to Seward park! GREAT GREAT GREAT prices for some of the best sandwiches in the area! Our bag of baguettes was around $3 bucks and we got to make sandwiches all week. So happy to have found this place! It is now my fav stop before a lil picnic at Seward!

Yelp
Hands down the BEST place to get banh mi in south Seattle. The fresh bread makes all the difference. Everything is super affordable for the quality and amount of food. Plus they have a huge parking lot so it's easy to grab things and go.

Yelp
Located in the back part of a has-been tiny shopping center having a parking lot with failing pavement, Q Bakery is a great little bakery featuring good bánh mì, great pâté chaud, and lots of fresh-baked rolls. It is popular -- having a line is the norm, despite the somewhat obscure location -- and there's good reason for that. The staff is friendly and helpful (and very busy), and the bánh mì are good, with many varieties to choose from. Most of the customers are local, and a great many of them are Vietnamese -- a testimony to the authenticity of their food, and the reasonable prices too. It is obvious that many delis and restaurants get their bread (for bahn mi and other things) at Q Bakery, and indeed their rolls probably set the standard for bánh mì in Seattle (Vietnamese style, rather than French or American style). Why a 4-star and not a five? Because this is a solidly good place, but there are other many other establishments where the bánh mì are good too.

Yelp
Amazing authentic Viet bakery. This has been recommended to me by several friends, and it was so worth the stop. Giant bags of baguettes in bulk order greet you in the back, a sign of its legit-ness. The highlight I came here for was the pate chaud. Similar meat shortcrust pies exist throughout Seattle and in various ethnic contexts, and by far this has been my favorite rendition. The pastry is impossibly flaky and buttery, with an undertone of savory lard and lots of love. The meat inside is juicy and flavorful. It's perfectly toasted and the texture is spectacular. I've also had the pound cake (a little too sweet and not very buttery) and shrimp balls on skewers , and seafood pate slices (a bit too salty and unbalanced in flavor) from the hot bar. Will definitely need to try the banh mi next time, bt the favorite for me so far as been the pate chaud. There's so much to try here, and I will definitely be back!

Yelp
If you're around South Seattle and craving a banh mi aka Vietnamese sandwich, stop by Q Bakery for a variety of protein stuffed or plain baguettes baked freshly right out of their onsite oven at reasonable prices. Service is quick with multiple lines serving the banh mi making / deli serving and paying stations. Credit cards accepted with minimum $10 purchase. Store is spacious with ample parking right in front. I normally order the simple banh mi cha lua (includes pate) or banh mi dac biet. Heard good things about the tofu as well. I like to order one or two every time I am on my way to the airport during meal times.

Yelp
In the neighborhood and was picking up a sandwich for a friend. Since I saw the guy bagging the rolls non stop in the back I knew the bread was going to be fresh. I was going to be standing around waiting for one sandwich so i figured I'd get myself one as well. It wouldn't look good if I bit my friend's sandwich just to try it A little confusing on where to stand. Order your sandwich from the window deeper in. The window up front is for phone orders and purchases of the bagged bread. They do a great business of the sandwich rolls and smaller ones. The bag of 6 was $3.25, maybe a dozen of the smaller ones was $5. I saw a guy from Smarty Pants pick up 150 rolls! Sandwich was good - toss up on whether I'd want a $7 banh mi with less meat, or a more packed sandwich from my neighborhood for $14.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place on a weekend while in the area. I saw several people at this place, so I was intrigued. I decided to order their BBQ pork banh mi, which was around $5. Their banh mi has been my favorite so far in the Seattle area. The bread is perfectly crisp and the BBQ pork was flavorful. I would definitely come back here.

Yelp
Always on point! Best authentic Vietnamese sandwich in Seattle. Hands down! Best bread and always balanced flavors! Go where the Vietnamese people go to get their sandwiches. They know!
google avatar

Yelp
The bread here is so fresh, light, and airy, perfect for banh mis! Value wise, Q bakery is tough to beat at $5.50 for a sandwich! I ordered their combo banh mi and it was very satisfying. Includes pate, mayo, cilantro, jalapeño, pickled veggies, and a fair amount of meat. Just wish it had more of the pickled veggies or cilantro. Overall, would recommend!

Yelp
Wandered in while waiting for my Vientiane Grocery order to be prepared. Grabbed some delicious pate chaud and wanted some pandan honeycomb cake and fresh baguettes but it was very close to closing so they were out. Will have to come back to try the banh mi.

Yelp
We have been coming here for years, and come very very often. Affordable delicious banh mi, the baguettes are baked fresh in house. Grilled pork is our go to order, an 8 inch banh mi is $6.25 now. It can get pretty busy during the lunch rush. They also sell their baguettes separately and plenty of other fresh bakery items and snacks.

Yelp
The best place to get fresh baguettes for the bo ne, curry chicken or banh mi's dishes that you may be serving. They have a fresh bag of 5 baguettes for $3.00. Other Asian stores sells 4 baguettes for $3.50. They have the small ones too, super reasonable price. They open super early in the morning too. They have varieties of banh mi's. Haven't had a chance to try it but it looks delicious.

Yelp
Good bread, tasty shredded chicken sandwiches. It would be perfect if they offered shredded fried tofu banh mi in addition to their other offerings. Things can get crowded at lunch time, especially on the weekend.

Yelp
Shrimp paste sandwich (bánh mì chảo tôm) - a must try!! And I love buying the small bread and freeze them for later.

Yelp
These aren't your typical croissants (they're more like bear claw consistency than flaky and buttery) so as soon as that expectation is out of your mind you'll be able to enjoy what Q has to offer. I've had almond, cinnamon, and taro croissants here. The pastry is soft and not too sweet--my first bite of taro actually had me thinking it was more savory (it isn't) because the bread itself is just not overly sweet. It's delicious, and perfectly accompanies the filling in ratio and taste. You also can't beat the price at only 2 or 2.50 each. I love that they have canned bubble tea and ramune, too. I really should branch out and try a sandwich (American or bahn mi) or their other wall of baked goods. They also offer tons of packaged snacks and even some frozen/refrigerated items. Check out is fast and polite and I'm always impressed by how many little elderly ladies they have working seamlessly behind the counter all at once.

Yelp
Best banh mi in town. Plenty of parking available. The staff is friendly enough. They deal with a fast pace take out orders so take that however you would like.

Yelp
Excellent food and incredibly reasonable prices. Their Banh mi sandwiches make me salivate with anticipation---oh, the grilled pork is so yummy

Yelp
The MKE Yelper gets credit for putting Q Bakery on my radar screen. We were there as a requested stop back on 10/23/18 before I dropped him off at the airport. It was nice to see all the baked goods, menu items, mini-mart items and experience dining onsite. The filling banh-mis and steamed buns are a steal! The regulars definitely knew when the freshly baked bread were ready from the oven for purchase. I returned years later on 5/25/22 after other south end stops. It was quite the contrast due to the pandemic. No onsite seating, patrons and staff remained masked, items were bagged, streamlined products for sale. One thing that has not changed are the lines for fresh bread and banh-mis. The folks that work the production line and cash register have efficiency mastered. The grilled pork banh-mi is definitely recommended!

Mai D.

Yelp
This store is a Cash Only, but they have a machine that could run credit cards but refuses to use it. You know what it is mean when the store is cash only, so they can falsify their tax. I would not be supporting such business.

Yelp
Grab-and-go place for Vietnamese sandwiches, fresh bread and pastry, banh bao (steamed buns), da ua (yogurt), banh pate chaud (meatball puff pastry pies), ca phe (Vietnamese coffee), and sinh to (smoothies). Came on a Saturday late morning and it was pretty busy. Line grew as I waited for my order. You order at the counter for the banh mi and drinks, but make sure to grab the pre-packaged items to go with your order before you do. They serve all the classic meat options for banh mi: grilled pork, pulled chicken, tofu and veggie, xui mai (meatball), classic cold cuts and pate combo, and more. About $5-$6 per sandwich. I ordered one grilled pork and one tofu and veggie. Husband ate the grilled pork and thought it was very good. I haven't tried mine yet but will update this when I do. Though the bread looks a little crunchier than the one from Tony's nearby (ie dry?), it still looks solid and I'm excited to try. The pastries I saw on sale included: raisin rolls, banh bo nuong, taro bun, coconut tart, croissant, taro croissant, even concha (pan dulce). They were churning out fresh bread: sesame baguette, huge french loaves, mini french bread loaves, and regular banh mi sized french bread. Their banh bao were huge. This we ate hot and fresh. Huge meatball with egg and Chinese sausage. Perfectly seasoned meatball. Fluffy thick bread exterior. I also got one of their da ua (Vietnamese yogurt to try). Good, sweet, silky smooth, not too tangy. Good prices, good selection of food. Just cashier at the front was impatient and was kinda of rushing everyone.

Yelp
How is the service? It depends who you see during the day. If you see the old grumpy lady then your day won't be great.

Yelp
Their vietnamese sandwiches are good I just wish they had atleast one employee that's fluent in English or who actually listens.I specifically asked for my sandwiches to have no pate, no cilantro, and no jalapeños but I arrive home to find out they all have it. I have a pregnant sister who craves vietnamese sandwich but can't have pate. Pls hire atleast one cashier who's fluent in english

Yelp
Came in looking for bánh bò nướng (Vietnamese Honeycomb Cake) since no other Vietnamese delis in the area had any, this was sort of a last resort/effort. They had some fresh ones on the counter, the tray was still warm. The cake wasn't as light as I had been hoping but it was still good, strong coconut/pandan flavors and the cake had a good spring to it. The bánh tiêu (type of Vietnamese donut) was fresh and still warm. It was still light and airy even hours after purchasing. I surprisingly liked it more than the bánh bò nướng. It had a subtle flavor and wasn't too greasy. Also, if you've never eaten it this way, definitely cut a slice of the bánh bò nướng and sandwich it between the bánh tiêu, game changer! Service was quick and they were super busy! Everyone comes here to buy bread! They sell 4 banh mi loaves for $4.50, mega deal.

Yelp
The food is very good and the staff here is very friendly, but there is only one old older woman here who often stands at the counter and the service is very bad. I've been coming here for a long time but her customer service hasn't changed for the better and today is worse than usual her behavior is like a customer coming to beg to buy food from the store. I hope the owner will advise her to change or find someone with good service to help customers order and pay
google avatar

Bryan R.

Yelp
I love their baguettes even if you don't get the Bahn mi which you should. Two counter you can order from it has a little awkward layout. I got the BBQ pork Bahn mi which was great. It was pretty quick for the most part, while waiting I would see people come in and order large amounts of Bahn mi. The amount of fresh baguettes they produce is amazing to watch. I don't think the banquette rack never got full constantly being emptied by customers waiting for sandwiches. From my understanding they are the main supply for this region to restaurants and grocery stores for baguettes from Seattle up to Everett.

Yelp
Q Bakery - Simply the Best (Banh Mi) I love Banh Mi. Crispy French baguette, lightly pickled Vietnamese vegetables, a few thin slices of jalapeno and of course pate' and pork. Q Bakery does all of these simply and with a level of perfection, consistency and care. Q Bakery is a bakery, they sell hundreds of their 10" baguettes rolls to the community and they're a testament to fresh baked quality. I loved the fresh veg, they could have been used by a food photographer as an art piece. As to the assorted pork items, all I can say is they added the texture, unami and flavor profile to blend with the other two elements. A quick note on the Jalapeno, it added flavor and a hint of spiciness but was not at all overwhelming. As Bret Michaels says, "Every Rose has its Thorn". The thorns here are the neighborhood is a bit rough (ex. broken car glass in the parking lot) and the bakery can be (deservedly) packed leading to a bit of a wait. But the crowd is friendly and the neighborhood is safe enough during the day. And for the best Banh Mi in Seattle - well worth it. I'm glad I bought 2.

Yelp
The ambiance here reminds me of "Vietnam-town," the closest to a Vietnam deli in the South. I forgot her name, but the cashier is a sweet ol' lady that is so thorough and kind. I normally get my french bread fix for my morning meals, their bubble tea is really good too!
google avatar

Yelp
This place makes a PHENOMENAL banh mi. All of my Vietnamese coworkers told me that this was the best place to get a banh mi in the area, and this store lived up to the hype. Right when you walk through in the door, you are greeted with the warm aroma of freshly baked bread. In the back of the store, you can see staff baking bread nonstop. I ordered the grilled pork sandwich and my friend ordered a BBQ pork and a banh bao. The filling was nothing to brag about, but the bread was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Their baguettes and banh mi are truly what makes this place so special.
google avatar

Tony A.

Yelp
Pros: - Favorite place for Vietnamese sandwiches; favorite is grilled pork (sauce is a little heavier on soy sauce than other delis); crunchy bread - Love purchasing plain baguettes too--pre-bagged and ready to grab and go; options for large and mini baguettes - Pork banh bao is tasty; like the egg inside; pepper gives it a little kick which I enjoy - All food is affordable, inexpensive, and tasty - Fast and friendly customer service - Lots of free parking in plaza - Would highly recommend/return Cons: - Often busy with multiple lines and lack of organization, but you eventually figure it out - Cars are sometimes parked right in front of the store which can seem like an inconvenience but adds to the image of being a quick grab-and-go deli
google avatar

Yelp
Best bahn mi sandwich I've had since I was in Vietnam. Absolutely delicious, including the fresh bread. I highly recommend the combination sandwich.
google avatar

Sylvia K.

Yelp
Still on my quest to find the best banh mi. Checked out Q Bakery - one of the first things you'll notice about this place is that all the Asian grampas are buying a 2-3 bags of bread and that's it. So that alone tells me that the bread is good. I ordered the dac biet banh mi - it's how I establish that banh mi baseline. The bread was good. I see why they have so many bags of it on sale and why so many people are buying bags of it. The sandwich itself was solid but it was just a little on the dry side. Not sure if it was the layer of what kind of looked like pork floss meat or maybe there was less mayo and pate than other places. They had some other pastries too and I bought a bbq pork bun and that was just ok. If i come back i'll try a different sandwich and then one of the little pate chauds.

Julee B.

Yelp
Great bahn mi sandwich. Not so great cup of ice even though I asked for light ice. I had two sips from the drink.

Yelp
This is usually my family's go to foe banh mi, dad still lives in the south end . Usually my mom or dad go in to pick up stuff. My dad sent me in this past weekend. Made the rookie mistake of standing line with people who were just waiting for fresh bread to come out of the oven. When you send me into a new place I tend to discover new things while waiting in line. Ordered shredded chicken and grilled pork banh mi. While waiting I ended up grabbing a bag of pandan sweet rolls and a container of Khô Gà Lá Chanh, this stuff is addicting. When I bought it I thought it was maybe some flavored dried noodles to snack on but it was chicken jerky seasoned with lime leaf, lemongrass, chilis and other wonderful ingredients. So much wonderful flavor packed in to this snack. Would definitely buy it again. Think it's often used to sprinkle on other stuff but we just ate it plain. Lines can get a little chaotic while waiting but definitely worth the waot.

Yelp
Stopped here to grab some quick lunch. Pork Pate Chaud - This was excellent. I didn't expect something that looked that plain to be that flavorful. It didn't even need any sauce or accompaniment and I'd highly recommend it. Special Combination Banh Mi (#12) - This was very mediocre. The veggies and meat were fresh but the bread was just incredibly dry and mealy. It was begging for some sauce or anything to add some juice to the dish. We literally added in some hoisin and sriracha that we always have in the car and that made it somewhat edible but overall it was an extremely dry sandwich. Some pho broth to dip might have been a game changer here. Veggie Banh Mi (#17) - Same as the previous one, extremely dry. The one highlight here was definitely the king oyster mushroom that brought some nice flavor to the sandwich. Overall great portions for the price, quick and friendly service and everything's fresh, just wasn't a fan of ultra-dry sandwiches.

Angie C.

Yelp
The workers weren't the nicest. There were flies inside. The food did not live up to expectation. The bread of the banh mi was good but the stuff inside wasn't even seasoned. Compared to other places, their banh mi is tasteless. Their drinks did not impress. The mango smoothie tasted so sugary and artificial.

Sabrina H.

Yelp
Every time I fly back home to Seattle I stop here and get two bahn mi sandwiches. their almond croissants are really good too. Everything is always fresh.
google avatar

Paula M.

Yelp
Take out only in a little deli / grocery store in a corner difficult to find. Banh mi was excellent though. With crunchy bread and great flavors. Good price too.
google avatar

Nancy N.

Yelp
They have one of the best baguette in the south seattle area. Their banh mi sandwiches is pretty good. The reason why I didn't give it a 5 stars is because one of the staff there is very rude. I won't mention who because she's way older. But the way she talks to other staff or customers is kind of rude. Other than that food there is good if you want a good quality baguette.
google avatar

Casey K.

Yelp
The floor markings and line to purchase is honestly a bit confusing but if you follow the others...I'm sure you'll get to the register some time. After hearing my boyfriend rave about the banh mi's here, we decided to make a trip. It was about 11:30am on a week day and it was fairly busy inside, if you're worried about running into a lot of people. They have baskets full of pre-bagged baguettes, which unfortunately were not the softest/freshest they could have been (according to S/O). The situation was the same with the banh mi. The price is really good though; less than $5 for a banh mi. It could easily be double that price closer to the east side and beyond. So, for the price and taste, I would say that it's worth it and would recommend. I hope I can return and have some really fresh bread to get that optimal Q Bakery experience. :)

Yelp
This hole in the wall bakery tends to get crowded with folks grabbing bags and bags of fresh Vietnamese baguettes but - I come here for one thing only - their Pate Chaud! This light, flakey, and buttery heaven sent creation is hands down the best item here. Every time we've gotten it, it's been consistently delicious! The meat filling is always well flavored and juicy. Another item, such as their deep fried shrimp cake is wonderful too but it tends to get sold out often. The bakery is tucked away toward the back of the plaza on the left hand side of the giant parking lot. It can get missed but locals already know it well so it's hard to find the place empty. At least every time I've gone it's been crazy crowded. Most folks are following social distance protocols so I've always felt comfortable here. If you ever stop here, get their Pate Chaud!
google avatar

Anne Marie A.

Yelp
Overall the BEST place to get a Vietnamese sandwich if you're craving and in the area. There's a lot of other Vietnamese deli's but skip those and come here! Whenever I'm around Othello, I make sure to pick up a tofu and oyster mushroom banh mi or two for the road. I've never seen any other place that sautés their tofu with (I'm guessing?) oyster sauce. The mushrooms that are added give a nice flavor and texture as well. Definitely beats any other dry tofu banh mi's!!

Yelp
This was my first time trying out Q Bakery. I must say my sandwiches were quite yummy. This place was definitely more banh mi sandwiches than it was a full bake shop. Lots of patrons going in and out buying bags filled of freshly baked baguettes. I saw maybe two handfuls of actually baked desserts. I ordered two banh mis, #11 and #14. Both ordered with extra pate....the jalapeños in the photo are my own personal pickled jalapeños from home.

Yelp
While I agree with other reviews that their french bread and banhmi are fresh, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, very tasty and good value, their customer service is nowhere acceptable to me. On the day I visited, the shop has no checkout system. People do not form lines and cut in whenever. They allow customers to walk up to the counter and leave the cash without waiting for their turn. Over the 8 mins in line, I had many cut in front of me and not follow any social distance. I feel that though it's their customers that ruin the experience, it's also the shop's responsibility to direct the traffic and enforce the store capacity rule. In the little shop, there was over 30 ppl at once. I have to minus a star for the lack of system in place.

Yelp
Wow...I mean, wow! Had a really good sandwich this morning for breakfast here. This place makes its own bread (you can even buy a bag of good french rolls to take home cheap). I had the shrimp pate sandwich...great combination of accompanying complements to the shrimp pate itself...picked radish, cilantro, jalapenos (that my son was even able to eat)...a real great combination! Will be stopping by when I am this part of the city again. Excellent!

Amy T.

Yelp
My family and I have been going to this place for years! The quality of the foods and the serve have been consistent, and it remains as a staple for the Vietnamese community here in Seattle. Here are my recommendations: -Banh mi dac biet (Traditional): This is a great sandwich to try if you have not had Banh mi before. It consists of pork three ways (sliced, cured, and shredded), pate, butter, and pickled veggies. It's really good fresh and even better the next day when you pop it in the oven to let the bread crisp up. -Banh mi thit nuong (grilled pork): This is a great sandwich if you enjoy marinated grilled meats. It consists of grilled pork, pate, butter, and pickled veggies. -Bánh Tiêu: This is the Vietnamese take on fried donuts. It's made fresh at the bakery and it's good to try. Always ask the employees if they have any fresh ones! -Cà Phê Sữa Đá: Always get the Vietnamese coffee with your sandwiches! Pro tip: dip your Bánh Tiêu in your coffee! When you come here, order a bunch of sandwiches for a whole week's worth of lunch. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Hard to find many authentic/solid Asian bakeries in Seattle, and this one feels like home! I grew up with Asian bakeries surrounding me, so I had really high expectations, but this one still hits all the spots. I just wish it had a slightly wider selection, but all in all it has the classic hits for the most part. I came and got the green pandan waffle, the fried banana, and the coconut bread! Was yummy, but felt like it was lacking a bit of flavor in places compared to the ones at home that I've had in the Bay Area. The pandan waffle could've been a bit more flavorful, and also gets soggy really quickly as a heads up. Overall, if you're having asian sweets cravings, this'll cover all you bases. How I rate my stars: 1 - Yikes. Will never be coming back. Usually raw food, terrible service, etc 2 - Maybe it was just this time. Bug in the food, bad experience, etc 3 - Meh. Nothing special nor awful about it, but not super memorable. 4 - Liked! Would come back to, but not essential 5 - Must-Try!!! I will becoming back to this place every time I'm in the area.

Yelp
This bakery wasn't super busy when we arrived (around noon on a Saturday) and we got our order pretty fast. We got the #13 - pork roll and 14 - grilled pork and both were tasty. The grilled pork didn't have too much filling but it was still good. I enjoyed #13 - pork roll much more, the pate was very flavourful and there was a good amount of pork slices in the sandwich. For the price you're paying and quality you're getting, Id recommend checking this bakery out!

Yelp
This is a small bakery on MLK that has a variety of baked goods and sandwiches (banh mis). The baguettes used for banh mis are sold here for those who want to make their own sandwiches at home (I've purchased some for French dips before and they work great). They also have a case with a mix of traditional baked goods like croissants, as well as Asian items like Chinese donuts (which inspired my trip today). The case had a limited selection by the time I got there this morning, but everything that was still there looked good. The service is a little slow and lacking (my only interaction with the cashier was when she pointed at my bag and asked "how many?") but I was coming here for cheap eats not world-class service...and I got my cheap eats, so I shouldn't complain. Even though there's a parking lot, be warned--it is a shared lot and on weekends, it can be a little bit crazy!

Yelp
I came here purely on a whim... just following my nose to the smell of bread. I was literally across the street at another block but the carbs beckoned me come. So I went.... Unbeknownst to me, they serve fresh bread that is apparently a thing to grab in the masses in paper bags. So even tho we had no idea that this fresh bread is a thing, we ended up standing around waiting for it and grabbing a bag. 50 cents for the medium baguettes and 35 cents for The small ones... not bad! And the bread is hot, fresh, flaky, and super soft inside. All the bread on the racks disappeared in like 1 minute of being rolled out. (Reminiscent of Black Friday....) Also got a #11 sandwich for like $4. Not bad! Yummy sandwich! Very happy w randomly stumbling into this place!
