Q-Teatteri ry

I and a few of my friends have a habit of coming to see every production for quite a few years now. Based on our experiences, we can trust in thought provoking modern commentaries of our times. Of course some shows hit the mark better than others, usually by the clever use of video cameras or smart references to popular culture. Most shows require thorough thinking of the viewer, which on the other hand means that some shows are a relative miss. We are happy with continuing our habit for the foreseeable future!

A nice and cozy little theater. There was a tiny desk at the entrance where you could buy drinks and snacks before the show. The main waiting room which came directly after it was a bit on the small side, with barely enough room for the viewers to wait. Public transportation allows for convenient travel to the theater, which is a good thing since getting your own car parked there can be a hassle. Overall i would say that this theater is a place worth visiting and an experience worth having.

Beautiful foyer, cosy feeling overall. Very contemporary and thought-provoking repertoire with both young and rising as well as well-established Finnish actors.

This is a review of Puoli Q, the smaller sister theatre of Q-Teatteri. I have experienced Puoli Q as an actor performing in a play and as an audience member watching a play. Almost everything about the theatre is excellent, it's a lovely old building in a beautiful part of Helsinki (Töölö) with decent facilities. The only negative is the performing area - there are 4 supporting metal pillars on the stage and this does block sight lines. I would give Puoli Q 1 or 2 stars more if the pillars could be removed or moved, though I realise that this would be a prohibitively expensive alteration if indeed it's even possible.

That the experimental freelance theater offered an excellent play made me almost forget the fact that their toilet facilities are ridiculously undersized for a venue that sells drinks and food.

A good indie theatre. A little crowded, unnumbered seats (come early) but usually interesting plays and good actors.

Fantastic theatre, great atmosphere and wonderful actors

Opettaja Nyt esityksessä oli propagandaa. Näyttelijä Ritala teki Elon Musk tervehdyksen ja huusi samalla "kapitalismi". Näytelmä ja esitys oli loistava mutta politiikan sotkeminen pilaa kaiken. Hyvää jatkoa. En tule enää.
