"Taking its name from the Arabic word for cellar, this bright and chic restaurant features a large, arcade pergola at its centre. It serves Moorish cuisine with an Andalusian touch, with a menu reminiscent of Cordoba in southern Spain, where chef Paco Morales grew up. Here, dishes are influenced by recipes dating from the 10th to the 18th century, such as a green couscous prepared in spinach water and an eggplant fritter with cane honey, representing the chef’s ode to his hometown’s timeless flavours." - Michelin Inspector

QABU in Zabeel One is a must-visit for a truly special occasion. From the moment we stepped in, the service was impeccable – attentive, timely, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and the rich Andalusian history behind each dish. The staff went above and beyond to explain the unique flavors and ingredients, adding a layer of authenticity to the experience. The ambiance was sophisticated yet understated, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening. The elegant décor and soft lighting set a relaxed and intimate mood. While the food portions were on the smaller side, as expected in high-end establishments, each dish was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. One of the highlights of the experience was how accommodating the staff was to my gluten-free and vegetarian preferences. They seamlessly adapted the menu, even baking fresh gluten-free bread that was absolutely delicious. It was clear that they cared about every diner's enjoyment, regardless of dietary restrictions. If you're looking for a truly exceptional dining experience that transports you to another time and place, QABU is the perfect choice. Be prepared for a culinary adventure filled with unique flavors, impeccable service, and a touch of history. Just remember, you might want to grab a snack afterwards to fill up those corners!

Paco Morales, a Spanish chef with three Michelin stars for his Noor restaurant in Cordoba, brings a contemporary twist to historical Moorish flavors at his Andalusian-inspired restaurant, Qabu (Arabic for crypt or cellar). The striking interiors are fresh and charming, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and wooden panels that reflect Andalusian architecture, offering a spectacular high-altitude panoramic view of the city’s skyline. Diners can choose between a five-course and a seven-course menu, with a vegetarian option available. The food is beautifully presented and equally delicious, with each dish impressing except for less appealing desserts. This restaurant is definitely worth visiting for special occasions, but whether it will attract regular and frequent visits remains to be seen.

We promise: you will experience an unforgettable evening. We opted for the tasting menu and every dish was an amazing delight. And the service, put together from nations from all over the world, made it even better. They were super professional and at the same time fun and relaxed - a mix you won't find in many fine dining restaurants. The only tiny improvement we could suggest: We thought it was just too cold. We would have enjoyed a little less AC. But don't worry: the service will gladly bring the ladies a pashmina.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Qabu, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience that transcended the ordinary. From the moment I stepped in, I was taken on a captivating walk through history. The menu at Qabu Dubai is nothing short of a masterpiece, featuring very interesting flavor combinations that left my taste buds dancing with joy. Each dish felt like a carefully crafted story, blending tradition with innovation in a way that I haven't experienced elsewhere. What truly elevated the experience was the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Their passion for the culinary arts and commitment to delivering top-notch service were evident throughout the evening. They went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable throughout our dining journey. Qabu offers more than just a meal; it provides a unique and delightful journey through time, flavors, and culinary expertise. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a dining experience that goes beyond the ordinary.

Starting with a review when you're disappointed is tough. We chose Qabu for our family Eid dinner based on rave reviews and chef recommendations. The ambiance and service were impressive initially; waiters were informative and created a great atmosphere. However, the food quality declined after the first dish. The flavor combinations were off, with an overwhelming use of orange blossom in many dishes. While the ingredients seemed high-quality, the spice combinations were mismatched. As food enthusiasts who've dined at numerous Michelin-starred restaurants worldwide, Qabu fell short. Even dessert, which I usually enjoy, was unpalatable due to an odd pairing of carob and cumin in a biscuit. We were charged for the full menu, even though several dishes were hardly touched. When we requested to speak with the chef or manager, neither was available. The floor manager apologized, mentioning we weren't the only disappointed guests that day. Promised follow-up from the general manager never came. While the location is excellent and dish presentation impressive, the steep menu price doesn't match the experience. We won't return or recommend Qabu. It's a missed opportunity for the chef not to engage with feedback. We aimed to offer constructive criticism, waiting a week before posting this negative review. We'd prefer to give positive feedback, but our experience leaves us no choice.

As Karim means “generous,” Farah also means “joy,” which I felt when she and Roger took care of me. The top-notch dishes brought back some of my childhood memories. Milo's knowledge and wine pairing elevated my experience. You guys definitely added a happy memories to my collection. ✨❤️
