We were in Anaheim at night and I was craving something sweet. I was looking for a new place to try. We found Qahwah and Chapati Yemeni and it was nearby. They close at 12 AM which was very nice.
Qahwah means coffee, and Chapati means flat unleavened bread which was very interesting to know.
It's a small shop, but it has both indoor and outdoor seating. The shop was busy, we were lucky to find a table.
The menu includes many drinks and desserts.
To mention a few; crepes, cakes, croissants, Chapati pastries, espresso, Yemeni coffee and tea, in addition to cold drinks.
Everything looked interesting and delicious in their menu.
We ordered;
-2 Iced Pistachio late 5/5
It has the perfect balance between strong espresso and silk, delicate taste of pistachio.
I am craving this drink since I tried there. Just an excellent refreshing drink.
-2 Konafa fruit cup 5/5
It was alternative layers of konafa, nutella, strawberry, and cream of pistachio.
My goodness! I have not tried anything like this before. It's a scrumptious dessert.
Then we ordered the following to go;
-Rose cake 5/5
-Pistachio cake 5/5
Both of the cakes were moist and sweet, but not too rich or too heavy.
-Masooba fata 5/5
I asked one of the staff about Masooba fata before I ordered it. He explained to me that it is a traditional dessert made of flatbread, cream, banana and honey. I was glad I ordered this dessert.
It was delicious, rich, creamy , perfectly sweetened and humongous.
The staff were helpful and friendly. The service was fast. The place is really a hidden gem in Anaheim. I am really glad we stopped by and tried many of their delicious desserts and drinks. I totally recommend this place.
