This place feels like visiting friends. The atmosphere is incredibly pleasant and warm. Considering there are always a lot of people here, animatedly discussing things and laughing, I’m clearly not the only one who feels this way. It’s the people who create this relaxed vibe, and you can’t help but smile. The staff deserves special mention. They are hardworking, hospitable, kind, and polite—always ready to help. They stay open late, which is especially valuable on weekends. Nearby, there’s a charming little park, the legendary IFC Center cinema, and a couple of other interesting spots like the Comedy Cellar and Blue Note. It’s quite possible that before or after visiting these places, you’ll want to relax in a cozy café, share your thoughts, or simply enjoy a drink. Stop by here—you won’t regret it.

This is a great place to sit down and have some nice drinks. Their hot adeni chai is flavorful and paired with their honeycomb bread (if you like bread, honey, and cheese) is very good. I also recommend their pistachio latte if you’re not a fan of strong coffee taste. The cashier is very kind and greets with salaam (which is very welcoming!) The atmosphere is great although it can be hard to find a table after 2 pm (post-lunch rush). Hopefully you get a table and enjoy this cafe to the fullest!

I’ve tried a lot of coffee shop, I’ve been drinking coffee since I was in middle school, 15 years ago, I had chai and I had coffee from different places, I’ve tried many different coffee and cafeteria that make Adeni chai even I tried the masala chai when I was in college with friends from bakistan India and Bangladesh and other countries, I bought Yemen coffee from the Yemeni grocery stores, and not just me, even I gave many of my close friends who love coffee, and who’ve been drinking coffee for years and years and who is 20-30-40 years older than me, when I give them Qahwah house coffee and chai, all what they say the best ever, I know people they used to drink black dark coffee from famous coffee shop, and they said Qahwah house one of the best organic coffee ever. I know some one who came from Colombia and brought green beans from there and buy Qahwah house green beans and roasted in home, he said Qahwah house has the best.. everything, the coffee the tea the spices they use, everything you test them as it is. Therefore, I will say just try it if you are a real coffee person or a chai person, and you will know it is one of the unique coffee shops, and I hope will see more better in the days and weeks and months and years coming,

I didn’t know I needed yemeni coffee and tea and coffee in my life until I went to qahwah house. Now I’m obsessed!!! My favs are the mofawar (coffee) and the adeni chai (tea) which pair perfectly with the honeycomb bread. Always very crowded so will have to wait for a seat during peak hours as it’s a popular hang out spot.

the honeycomb pastry was really good i also got the yemeni iced latte it was alright but would def want to try their yemeni tea next time. the place is really nice but so so packed (came on a friday)😭had to eat outside… there should be time limit on how long you can stay at qahwah cause honestly i saw the same group of people hogging the place for hours..

Really nice location, spacious and clean. The Yemeni Iced Coffee was really good, and I think their drinks are made with good quality ingredients. The honey comb cake had a hint of cinnamon and was delicious, only thing about it is that it’s made with typical store bought honey, so the taste is not as good as it looks. Overall, this place gets busy with people coming in. Qahwah Houses are cool experiences.

Feels like you’ve stepped into their country when entering this coffee shop. Their staff is very kind and welcoming. Definitely my go to place for a cappuccino.
