Qahwah House coffee - W Village

I’ve visited this café several times and really enjoy it. The Yemeni honeycomb bread and sabaya are delicious—the sabaya has thin, flaky layers drizzled with honey, though I’d personally prefer fewer sesame seeds. The cappuccino is great, made with organic, medium-roast beans. The café has a warm, community feel and offers something different from mainstream coffee shops. Service is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Downsides: it can be hard to find a seat since it’s almost always crowded, and the music can be a bit loud at times.

If I had the chance to rate this place 10 stars I’d do it without any hesitation. Best coffee tea and honeycomb pastry. Great environment, excellent service and the people are the best. As they say in their menu “our house your house”. It really feels like a house.

Super lively, really liked the place! As a chocolate lover, safe to say they serve delicious chocolate treats. I went in the evening on a Sunday & while it was snowing, and I was surprised to see how full & loud it was! Took me around 10 minutes to get a table. Staff was super sweet as well, would recommend!

Good experience if you can get a table to sit. It can get very crowded and loud especially with the social media crazy. Tried their adeni chai which tastes like something you would make at home - would recommend asking them to add ginger. Small pot is good enough for 3-4 people and I felt the price is very reasonable/great (only 10$ - compared that to a Starbucks drink in NYC!). Adeni chai - 4/5. If you can bear the noise, perfect to sip through while working on your laptop for a couple of hours. Honey bun/Khalifa Alnahl - 3/5. We personally didn't like the strong honey taste. A good one time experience.

Their black tea with milk is incredibly strong, and I absolutely love it, just be careful you might stay up late. However, the cheese bread was a bit hard, as if it wasn’t freshly baked.

The Moroccon mint tea was amazing but the thing which killed it for me was the wait time. 20 mins for mint tea is not justified anywhere. Turns out the guy forgot even though I had the pager but it was a very poor customer experience for me.

I recently visited this place with a friend and absolutely loved it! The Ideni Chai is spot on—just ask them to add ginger or other customizations, and it becomes extraordinary. As an Indian and a chai lover, I truly appreciated the authenticity. The ambiance and atmosphere are fantastic, making it a great spot to unwind. On my second visit, I brought a group of friends, and while the food remained excellent, the service was disappointing. The cashier was inattentive, and we were left feeling a bit brushed off, which took away from an otherwise great experience. That said, the location is excellent—right in the heart of Manhattan—and we really enjoyed the Kilayat and other sides like the honeycomb and cheese sambosa. Overall, a wonderful spot with delicious food; just hope they improve their service!

Speaking of drinks, Qahwah House’s offerings are second to none. One of my favorites is the Adhni Chai. It’s a rich, flavorful chai that’s expertly brewed to perfection. The balance of spices like cardamom and cinnamon is incredible, and the tea itself is smooth and creamy. Each sip feels like a warm hug, and it’s a drink I could enjoy every day. What stands out to me is the consistency in quality—whether I’m at the Lombard location or West Village, I know I’ll always get the same exceptional chai experience. Another drink I absolutely love is the Mango Refresher. As a mango lover, I can’t get enough of this refreshing beverage. It’s the perfect balance of sweet and tangy, with a natural mango flavor that feels refreshing without being overly sugary. It’s a great choice when I want something light and invigorating, and it pairs perfectly with the Adhni Chai. Qahwah House has always been a place I can rely on for high-quality beverages and a memorable experience. Whether it’s the impeccable service, the welcoming ambience, or the delicious drinks, every visit feels special.
