The Cocktail Heatmap: Where to Drink Right Now in Portland

"QD’s Bar in the Pearl District is the latest opening from the group behind La Palma, Jackie’s, and Two Wrongs. The casual spot comes to life with retro vibes like wood-paneled walls, checkered floors, and pinball machines. For drinks, cocktails like a watermelon mojito, a lavender daiquiri, and an espresso martini are on the menu, in addition to draft and bottled beer." - Rebecca Roland, Janey Wong, Eater Staff

I've only been here twice because I'm not in this neighborhood too much but it's a spot I recommend to others. I've enjoyed my drinks everytime so far. They have great cocktails, fun slushies you can add liquor of choice and jello shots! There is a pool table in the back next to photobooth as well as thr front in the pizza place. The staff here is always friendly and make great recs. The decor and vibe is also great. I'll definitely be back again

This is the quintessential dive bar! It has comfort, good food, good drinks and the coolest staff who provide great service. I'm new to the area and love the walkability to the bar in the Pearl District. I'm a big fan of Wild Child Pizza. The crust is delicious and the flavor options surprised me in a good way! The decor in the bar is so throwback, in the coolest ways. The nostalgia adds to the comfort...and the pinball machines!! Great concept and great execution of this bar. Love it here!!

Great find in a neighborhood of bad overpriced bars. 3 buck Busch lights. Yes it's Busch, but did I say 3 bucks??!!!! Food they offer pizza by slice. Slice is misnomer. Basically big chunk of homemade pizza bread. Is delish. And only 5 bucks. Cheese, veggie or pepperoni. Service is excellent. Place has pinball, too. A real throwback. Highly recommend.

QD’s is a great dive bar in the pearl district and they have amazing cocktails (which are reasonably priced). The pizza is to die for and the arcade games add a 90’s/2000 vibe to the bar. They have pretty much everything you need in a bar. 10/10 highly recommend

New bar in the Pearl and popped by for their grand opening tonight. If you're looking for a country bar, then this is your place. Even if country music isn't your go-to, vibes are great and the Wild Child Pizza is 🤌🏽🍕 TVs with sports, table/booth/bar seating, pool table, and enough space for a dance floor if you're looking for one. 🪩 Worth checking out for a mid-day drink, a game, or if you're in the area and looking for some nightlife.

Closing says 2am but they kick you out at 1:20am? It’s a good way to have you order drinks and then make you waste them so that they make an extra buck off of people. The bartender was VERY rude in kicking us out when this was pointed out, I immediately got the vibe that she was looking for any excuse to get us out of there. When you charge as much as you do for drinks it’s not okay to do to people, ANNOUNCE your last calls and don’t kick people out early when your business says otherwise. I remember respectfully expressing this at the bar. This was my last mistake, aside from just walking in. The bar tender with black hair and a savior complex got on her high horse to say that that I “am making her coworkers are uncomfortable”. Are you petulant or just sensitive? What does that even mean? Where are you pulling this out of when somebody is telling you that they’re trying to finish a beer as fast as they can when you still have 20 minutes before close. I’m mixed and I hate to say this but it was giving a white savior complex. This place is weird, please go to any other bar, there’s so many out there with better service.

I recently visited QD’s Bar, and I’m glad I discovered this hidden gem it has a laid-back atmosphere and surprisingly sophisticated drink option. The cocktails were expertly mixed, and the beer selection was giving varieties. Definitely a dope place to meet up with the friends. As for the pizza, it was simply awesome-crispy, flavorful, and just the right pairing with the drinks. This dive bar proves that great vibes and good pizza is exactly what the Pearl district truly needed.

Yelp
I love the polished spin on dive bar Americana ambiance. They have good lighting, which is a detail that I appreciate. The atmosphere is very Instagram friendly & pleasant to be around. Busch Light is $3 a draft there, too. Although they also have lots of high-quality cocktails and creative shots. The bar staff was quick and competent. We ordered their fantastic Detroit style pizza as well. Street parking is available, & it's in the Pearl, so you can always grab the light rail or a bus.

Yelp
Such a cute bar! Lots of arcade games and a vintage feel, and the pizza is just phenomenal. Especially the crust. The drinks are good, the Icee machine is so fun, but I didn't realize their cocktails were on draft which makes me feel like they should be cheaper. Overall a great spot to hang out in the Pearl :)

Yelp
Fun dive bar! It is fairly big . Friendly bartenders and a very eclectic place. There is a pool table and it is in a room that is too small so you basically hit your stick on the walls. Totally funny and quirky. Would totally go back!

Yelp
A chill new place with a fantastic throwback vibe. Complete with pinball machines, a pool table, jalapeño lights, and vintage playlists. QD's shares the space with Wild Child Pizza so you can get your beers and cocktails here, then dive into a Detroit-style pizza in the other room. Definitely check out this local spot - it's a great place to avoid the tourists across the street at 10 Barrel.
