"They feature, respectively: ramen, boba and tea drinks, and single-serve Wuhan-style dry pot. This is Chibiscus’ third location, joining spots in Pasadena and West Hollywood. Meanwhile, it’s the second (or third?) Qi Wei Kitchen, and at least the ninth Half and Half variant." - Jim Thurman

My favorite dry pot in entire Los Angeles! I have been coming here since 8 years ago! It’s the best dry pot! The flavor is really delicious! and the service is super friendly! The price is also very affordable I will recommend this to all of my friends 10/10

Google
The go to dry pot place in LA! There are many protein and add-on selections. My favorites are beef and short ribs. The classic spicy flavor is the best. The portion is so big that we can never finish. They even have dry hot noddle! So good!

Daniel Tam

Google
Just tried dry pot for the first time and it definitely met my expectations! We ordered the Mild level spicy flavor with beef shank. The meat was so tender and juicy. Highly recommend adding the Dried Tofu Skin to your pot (it bursts with flavor!!). Also got the lamb skewers and they were juicy little morsels! Definitely will come back again to try their other dishes and flavors!

Google
First time trying this place out, and it was great! This is a dry hot pot, and it is different from regular hot pot. We have our server explained the process of ordering the pot, and you can also add on additional sides for extra money. A bowl of rice is $1.99 at this time of review. Small orders are good for two people to share. We ordered the medium size, and it's more like for four people, but we pack the leftover home. The server was great, and she packed our leftover.

Google
Really like this store, used to order the beef one but this time try the lamb one. It is amazing! I seldom find any restaurant has the lamb with skin on, but they have it, it tastes really good! I like it and highly recommend!

Google
I love this place, and it has the best flavor and variety of dry pot. The textures of all the items are cooked perfectly and has a good amount of spice. Not too salty but super flavorful. Recently remodeled as well with a nice new mural.

Google
Normally if someone says 干锅 I’m the first to line up. Sweet memories of living in Shanghai and being bold enough to get 重麻重辣 😅 It was nice this place had outside seating especially with the good weather. The 烤肉串 and 烤面包 were good. No complaints there except I felt they were expensive. Maybe I was still remembering 4 kuai for 羊肉串 off the street. But that wasn’t a deal breaker. The deal breaker was the dry pot. The flavor was good along with the veggies, but something was off about the meat. It didn’t taste fresh, which threw off the overall taste. Flavor didn’t match the price point. I’d try this place again…but with caution.

Google
I can't recommend anyone to eat here!! It's dirty, unhygienic, dust everywhere, poop stains... I only came here cause there was not much open on Christmas day. There was sick people and kids coughing everywhere, so disgusting 🤢!! The owner and staff need to "CLEAN" no excuses... The food was decent, employees where kind. Unfortunately their restaurant is unclean, and they allow sick people to eat there, putting other's in a unhygienic, toxic environment. I will not report this to human resources/ health department! This is a warning please keep your restaurant CLEAN and don't allow sick people into your restaurant!!!! #disgusting

Yelp
Was craving mala dry pot and this restaurant popped up. Ordered to go of the beef and tripe combo (garlic, mild spicy) and it was ready for pick up in 15 min. Flavors were on point, this is one of the places that seasons well and not overly salty! Beef was sliced thinly and tripe was cooked to perfection - pretty good portions of protein. We normally order mild spicy because medium can sometimes just be too hot and not enjoyable but the mild here was very mild so medium is probably perfect. Would come back for more.

Yelp
Dry pot remains one of my favorite dishes to get in Rowland Heights. The portions are huge, and the food is always so flavorful here. You can choose amongst a variety of proteins and toppings to customize your dry pot. I recommend getting the lotus root and king oyster mushroom as your extra toppings due to their ability to absorb the different flavors and spices in the pot. Waiters were friendly and attentive in refilling our waters. My group and i arrived on a weeknight and there was no wait.

Yu chin H.

Yelp
The food we ordered came out cold with the burner thing at the bottom went out within 5 minutes. At least the waitress was kind and friendly 菜上来是凉的, 下面的火一下就没了 唯一好的就是服务员态度好

Steve D.

Yelp
Love the dry pot at this place. The service was great and really enjoyed the dinner at this place. You will love the spicy pot if you are craving for spice food. Btw, the coconut sesame rice ball tastes great for dessert. Thank you.

Khaing A.

Yelp
The portion was huge. Food was great. Very solid dry pot place. Large pot can easily feed 3 people. We got mild mala sauce and it was still decently spicy for me even though it does not look like it in the picture. If you love spicy food, you will love it. They also have variety of other sauces to try. I recommend this place for fellow dry pot lovers.

Candice W.

Yelp
I have been here for years. Always delicious! I like the spicy pot with two entrees, and add in some sides.

Jiaxin K.

Yelp
The best Chinese restaurant in Rowland Heights. everything is so tasty and the service is really good. I will definitely come back again to visit.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Love this place. This is our go to place for some delicious drypot and skewers.. have them w/ soju and beer! Service is awesome. Lucky is the nicest lady.. she's very friendly, welcoming and very attentive. Highly recommending this place.

Weiyi S.

Yelp
Very good food and nice service. Always feel very relaxing to have dinner here like eating at home. Highly recommended!!!! Lamb and beef skewers must order!!!

Emerson R.

Yelp
Made a random pit stop here since we were in the area. Place has cute murals on either side of the walls. Food was flavorful with customizable levels of spice. Huge portions. We ordered a medium for the both of us and still had leftovers.

Roberta L.

Yelp
Came here for dinner. They are known for their dry pot and it's a family style kind of dinner cause everything is precooked in a huge pot. Depending on the size that you order 5, you can choose the type of meat in the pot. When you order the large, you can choose 2 meats. We had 6 people so we ordered both the large and medium which was enough food for all of us. Rice is ordered per bowl. We ordered catfish and chicken cartilage with hot sauce and garlic sauce respectively. The hot sauce is a Szechuan spicy and it was pretty tasty. But I really liked the garlic sauce, in which we also added noodles in it. The noodles was chewy and super good. I would come back to try this again with different meats!

Kara L.

Yelp
Located in the Yes Plaza so they have plenty of parking available. It's a small restaurant with a few tables. They specialize in dry pot and spice. Their spice levels are much more spicer than the usual so be aware of that. We opted for no spice in our pot and asked for a side of spice to dip. We got the large dry pot with catfish and beef for $37.99 and any more additional items cost $14.99. Taste and flavor is pretty good but I felt like there wasn't enough of the proteins. Didn't really see much beef. For the price of food the portion was a bit smaller but it's always good for a try

Mandy W.

Yelp
Just think of hot pot but with no soup. If you're a hot pot lover but sometimes you're not in the mood for soup. Dry pot is the way to go. The menu is very simple, you bscially can pick a single or combo which comes in 2 different meat. It comes with assorted veggies, such as bean sprouts , celery, cauliflower, ect. You can also add additional veggies from the menu for additional price. we ordered the combo large pot, with intestines and chicken wings with mild spicy. You can choose the spicier level if you can handle, but the server recommed mild to be on the safe side. The intestines and the chicken came out to be perfectly cooked. Spice level is good. Service was fast and great, we got our food no lalter than 10-15 minutes. We did come on a Wednesday, Weekends do get busy. I see that they offer on skewers on the skillets, I'd love to come back to try it.

Perez E.

Yelp
Amazing service and food . Will definitely be coming back . Ordered mild and it was pretty hot for my taste but still so delicious.

Derek F.

Yelp
They offer a wide selection of veggies to their dry pot, which is always nice to have. The portion has gotten smaller over the years, hence the missing star. Other than that, the service is adequate, even for a take out they get it done pretty quickly. I would recommend people to try their dry pot.

Sarah C.

Yelp
In San Diego, one of my favorite restaurants was Sizzling Pot King, which serves dry pot originating from Guizhou, China. Luckily, I was able to find a good alternative nearby. FOOD We ordered the mild spicy large garlic pot with pork belly and beef split between 3 people (it could probably serve 4). It was really good! Each bowl comes with base veggies and we added silk noodles and bamboo shoots. SERVICE Their menu is really confusing and their workers mostly speak in Chinese and have you circle menu items to order. I didn't love that the server only dropped by to ask if we're done "ordering" by circling things on their takeout menu. I docked a star mostly for service. WAIT There was no wait when we went. We were there on the Thursday before Christmas around 2pm. I know this plaza gets busy at night, especially on weekends, so I would recommend coming here for lunch rather than dinner. Yes Plaza is notorious for having limited parking at night on the weekend.

Celine E.

Yelp
Love love love this restaurant so much! It's like my comfort food. Discovered this restaurant years ago, told my friends about it, and they went crazy about it too HAHA Chinese dry pot is probably one of my weaknesses in life because I cannot resist myself whenever I see a Chinese dry pot #hehe. I have tried several dry pot restaurants and Qiwei is so far the best and most authentic I always go with the BEEF dry pot with the ORIGINAL SPICY SAUCE and then I add my fav add ons; luncheon meat, wide vermicelli noodles, and mushrooms. DO NOT ADD TOO MUCH‼ adding more add ons does not mean more portions, you are actually getting less of everything. The pot itself already comes with generous amount of potato, cauliflower, celery, and beansprouts. Cant wait to go backkk

Maya H.

Yelp
Oh my the food smell amazing!! The smell of skewers is so delicious!! Very inviting smells lol We got the combo pot and some skewers. We got the chicken, beef, and lamb skewers. Honestly one of the best food we've ever had!! It's so flavorful and just the right amount of spices. We enjoyed everything!! Customer service is superb!! Our waitress is attentive and awesome!

Cynthia W.

Yelp
Food is great - we got the fish fillet and mutton combo. Really good. As others have said, the curtains between the seats are nice. Parking wasn't a problem when we were there...but we went on Tuesday afternoon at like 1:45pm. So...... I can see it being more of a problem during peak hours. We also ordered skewers (since they gave us the menu to fill out)....and then we were halfway thru with our meal when we realized there were no skewers..... apparently they only do skewers at night. Not sure why we were given the menu though. Might change the rating later, after I go at night to get skewers....

Jenny P.

Yelp
best malaxiangguo restaurant in OC. the thing is their portion is changing every time

Mimi L.

Yelp
We decided to try this authentic Chinese restaurant that specializes in pots and skewers. There are tons of this kind of restaurants in this area though. The outdoor seating set up was quiet cozy and private, I liked the curtains that separate each table. The menus were bigger than I thought, we started with a few Tsingtao beers with ice. Iced beer is what we like these days. For food we had fish and beef dry pot medium spicy and smashed cold cucumbers. The dry pot was very flavorful and comforting in healthy portions. Cucumbers were refreshing and yummy too. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Even though she was the only one who was working at the moment. We liked the food and service, it was also value wise with portions. I liked it that they provided sanitizer at each table. We will do takeout here since outdoor dining will be closed for a few weeks.

Wendy C.

Yelp
My friend and I came here full of excitement, especially since this is our first time trying the dry hot pot. We each order a small catfish (garlic sauce, medium spicy) and a small spareribs (spicy sauce, hot spicy) pot. The flavor of the spareribs was good, the spiciness and the taste of the sauce was perfect, except they forgot to add in the extra vegetables that we ordered. The catfish was a totally disappointment. It did not taste fresh, very bland and did not deliver any garlic flavor despite the name "garlic" sauce. I would recommend ordering their meat instead of the their fish, since don't know how fresh or how long they keep their fish products... Either way, probably wouldn't come back here again but at least now we know the existence of dry hot pot so I am grateful for that!

Yelp
LOCATION: Yes Plaza PARKING: VERY HARD TO FIND PARKING. I came on a Friday night around 7 PM, and the lot was full. Parking spots are also small. WHAT WE ORDERED: Medium Dry Pot ($26.99) - We chose mild spice, garlic base, and pork spare ribs as our choice of meat. This can feed 3/4 people! I used to always go to Sizzling Pot King when I was in San Diego, and when I heard there was a restaurant that had dry pot, I had to get my fix! The taste is highly similar to SD's, although Qiwei tasted saltier. Prices are on par as well. We had a bit of a hard time communicating with the servers because most spoke Chinese. Their menu and receipts are also in Chinese, and I, as a Vietnamese person, would've had a lot of trouble if I didn't come with my Chinese friends LOL. The menu was also a bit confusing because we had to circle what we wanted? We didn't know, so the server just circled it for us when she came around. I am now looking for a restaurant specializing in dry pot in OC because I cannot keep driving to Rowland Heights.

Angelina H.

Yelp
This restaurant is conveniently situated in the Yes Plaza. Ordered the mildly spicy garlic flavored pot with pork intestines. The intestine pieces were well cooked, tender enough yet still maintained a delicious chewy texture. The veggies added a good crunch and were a nice addition. The pot came in a good portion and the flavor was well balanced. Will try other proteins next time.

Steven H.

Yelp
Dry pot is delicious here. A medium can easily feed 2 people. Prices can add up fast depending on how many add on you include in your dry pot. Pro tip is to order more and can pack to go for lunch for the next few days. Parking can be a pain when the plaza is packed.

Yelp
Qi Wei kitchen is one place you have to go for Chinese Dry Pot, since some of other dry pot restaurant chain closed due to the pandemic. The one and only drawback of this restaurant is the lack of English speaking staff. Other than that, I really think the food is exceptional. Now, to explain a little bit about Chinese Dry Pot, it is a dish served as a dry hot pot, cooked with chili pepper, garlic and meat of your choice, it was originated from Guizhou province in China. Prior to ordering, please heed to these advise, at least for normal people, especially non Chinese speaking and the first timer. I would hate people to stop going to a good restaurant because of the bad experience or honest mistakes on the first try or visit. Now to avoid confusion about the size: Small is to feed 1-2 people Medium is to feed 2-3 people Large or Combo is to feed 3-4 people So no matter what the server told you, use the above guideline to order your meal size. Otherwise, you might end up with a lot of leftover that you might not like (first timer only) Going on to ordering: Dry pot comes with a basic ingredient and one to two meat protein of your choice for a certain price. Any add ons will cost you extra money. BEWARE! DO NOT ADD TOO MUCH, more add ons does not translate to more portions. So if you want more proteins, I suggest to have another separate dry pot dish, instead of adding more than 3 ingredients to your dry pot. Why? Because you are getting less and you have to pay more money for it. The amount of extra meat and the amount of meat in a new dish was not comparable. Plus with limited English speaking staff, mistakes when ordering might be unavoidable. So if you ordered, point it to the menu and have the staff to write it down accordingly. Now spiciness level for normal people in US: Mild is spicy for normal people Medium is spicy and burning for normal people Hot is SPICY for crying out loud for normal people So if you are part of normal people population, please heed this advise. Try not to go beyond Medium, otherwise your dish can become unedible. Now, onto the food itself, we ordered combo Ox tripe and beef tendon dry pot. It is not an Ox tripe, it is a regular honeycomb beef tripe lol. We ordered it with Medium spiciness, which quite spicy for us as normal people. Our favorite is the original spicy sauce, so we picked that one everytime; garlic and celery did not work well together. They have several sauces, but again try to stick to their original spicy sauce. The dish also comes with standard cauliflower, bean sprout, potato and celery. Don't change any of them. Those are the main ingredients for the flavoring. Without any one of them, it will be different. Celery for sure to give the dish unique aroma, cauliflower to absorb oily flavor, bean sprout to add sweetness to it, and last the potato to absorb the rest of the oil and some of the meat juice making it a very flavorful potato at the end of the meal. Once you get the dish, make sure that you mix them up accordingly, otherwise the upper part of the drypot will be tasteless. Now, since you know what to do, happy experimenting with Qi Wei Kitchen.

Yelp
We used to come here a lot and brought a lot of family and friends here to eat. My last review was posted 7 years ago with a 4 star review. However over the years, the quality has dramatically decreased. They started to go stingy on the portion ( actual meat and veggie). They no longer put garlic, sometimes you can find 1 garlic. I asked them why no more garlic. The lady said "because some people don't eat garlic". Have you seen a Chinese person who doesn't want garlic in the dish? I don't actually eat the garlic but garlic enhances flavor of the food. If they are not doing well, they should just be real and tell me that business not good and have to cut cost. Making us an excuse that some people don't eat garlic is ridiculous to me. Maybe they are not doing well and trying to cut cost, but stinging on the food will Cause fewer people to go.

Jessie T.

Yelp
This store has been here for a few years, and we came back yesterday to give it another try. Food is good, all ingredients are full of flavor, we had the beef which is tender, and the fish fillet was fried, which I didn't expect. The price comparing to the portion lost 0.5 point. The pot looks huge but it's very shallow, the combo for picking two items is about $33/pot, which I think is a little bit high. We did add some other items, and we didn't finish the whole pot, so overall the portion is good. The service is good, very friendly servers and the speed for serving dishes is quick too. I added 0.5 points because they open on Christmas Day, which I really appreciate and they also gave all customers the rubber duck as gift. Thank you!

Lily W.

Yelp
Located in the Yes Plaza so parking can be a little difficult to find on a Friday and Saturday night. The place itself isn't too big compared to the other restaurants in that building but I had no problem getting seated during dinner time though. This place is a dry pot restaurant so first you choose what size pot you. They have 3 different sizes for lunch which are small, medium, and large. When I went during dinner time, I just went with one other person so of course we wanted to choose small but to our disappointed there are only two sizes to choose from during dinner which is medium and large. Medium was so much for two people! We ended up taking two bowls of leftovers back so it can feed up to 4 people but we did order 5 additional sides to our dry pot though. After choosing the size, you choose how spicy you want it to be and what sauce you want. They have about 4-5 different sauces but the only ones I remember is spicy and sour, garlic and their regular spicy sauce. After that is done you choose the base of the pot which they have a ton of choices such as beef, pork ribs, pig feet, cat fish, lamb, frog meat, and more! If you get a small, the pot is $10.99 and a medium will be $20.99 from the list of meat that was just mentioned but they also have crabs and crawfish which are market price. They also have a huge option on their sides which you can add on to your pots such as tofu, mushroom, noodles, meatballs, and veggies! If you don't want to spent too much then it's not necessary to add sides because every pot does come with potatoes, celery, califlowers, and bean sprouts!

Jay G.

Yelp
Drypot is so delicious! My favorite is the rib with beef drypot. Their spicy level is super hot!

Wesley C.

Yelp
The menu is very confusing, but the skewers were worth the patience of figuring it out. Recommend the chicken and chicken cartilage skewers. We also ordered a fish pot with a few extra assorted veggies which was tasty, and the sesame noodles which were okay.

Sammie L.

Yelp
Qiwei is extremely underrated! Their skewers are better than most places that specialize in skewers. Get the lamb skewers and chicken wings, you won't regret it! I believe their specialty are the dry pots and those are really good as well. Just keep in mind that if you decide to add additional sides into your pot, you're not actually getting more food. The pot size and the amount you get is actually the same.

Yonnie C.

Yelp
We ordered to-go from here today, the griddle cooked pork intestine large size at $36.99. Very expensive and can feed 3-4 people! By the time it arrived at home, it was a bit soggy already and the flavors are just ok.

Angel W.

Yelp
I would give 10 stars! Nice people, quality food, authentic flavor. So happy and full!!! Stay safe! So that we could keep coming for more cuisines.

Aaditya S.

Yelp
I am a fan of anything which is either a Hot Pot based or a Dry Pot based. For example: I love boiling point's hot pot, I love little sheep's hot pot, (Little Sheep & Boiling Point are Hot Pot Restaurants). I have not been to good dry pot places so far. Whichever I havr been to, are little mom and pop and are nasty with their food and/or their customer service. The last dry pot I had was in Rancho Cucamonga at Red Chilli House. And that was amazing trust me!, However, we wanted to try a better place with better everything. Hence, we drove to Rowland Heights and went to this place called Qiwei Kitchen and I think we made a really nice decision. Usually in any traditionally Chinese restaurants, the food is probably awesome but the service sucks. But, here both were excellent. The servers were bilingual but had very good way of gretting you when you enter, had smile on their faces while serving or taking order. So overall customer service was really good. Now, let's talk about food. The concept of Dry Pot is as follows: there is a sauce base, which in most cases is either spicy, garlicky, or fish based depending on restaurants. Once, you order the base you have to select their spice level and then the actual size of the pot. After you decide on that, you can go ahead and order whivhever pot you want. When I say its dry pot, its pretty dry based. The sauce is lightly covered on the meat or the veggies but covered enough to savor each component from the pot. They also have other sides that go with the pot. Let me tell you this as a tip: ORDER THEIR SPICY HOT FLAVOR AND ORDER THEIR VERY SPICY SAUCE. You won't regret it. Even though it says its spicy (it is though!) But trust me its good! If you are a party of 5, order their large bowl and easily 5 people can eat from there. Their large bowls are very large. Oh and vegetarian or vegan folks you will be happy as well.

Andrew C.

Yelp
Came here for our last dinner before we headed home. Located in a popular shopping center in Rowland Heights with Phoenix and HoneyMee, etc It was fairly early in the evening around 5PM. There were only 1 other party dining at the time. We were a party of 4 but weren't too hungry so we got a large pot that stated it was for 3 people to share. We get the choice of 2 items, flavor, and spicy level. The pots include potato, celery, cauliflower, and bean sprouts. Since we were "spiced out" for the weekend, we had decided to get mildly spicy garlic flavor. As for meats, we picked pork intestine and mutton meat with wide vermicelli, pork blood, king oyster mushroom. Large metal pot came out on top of a sternos stove. Lots of pork intestines (suprisingly) and mutton meat. For those who don't know, mutton meat is essentially lamb but more used in chinese cuisine for lamb pots. It has bone so becareful. Its not the easy to eat sliced lamb xD The flavor was pretty good. The extra stuff we added had an ample amount too, which was also surprising. Overall, pretty good ! Maybe can come back to try again with spicy ! Only downside was the waitress kept talking to us in mandarin. Luckily, two of us can understand it for the most part so it worked out.

Doriee L.

Yelp
Came for dinner one night with three of my friends. They have three different sizes of pots for you to choose from: small, medium, and large. They don't have the small available for dinner -- it's only for lunch. The medium could probably feed about two people. The large can feed 3-4 people but if you're really hungry, you may have to order more than one pot! We decided on a large pot, garlic, and mild spicy. For the large pot, you're able to choose two types of meats so we went with mutton/lamb and pig intestine. Every pot comes with bean sprouts, cauliflower, potato, and celery. We also decided to add noodles, oyster mushrooms, and pork blood to it. The food comes out fairly quick in a large pot. They put it over a sternos stove to keep it warm. Remember to stir it from time to time! We made the mistake of not doing that and it burned a bit on the bottom of the pot. Whoops. They had a good amount of the stuff we added in, which was a surprise. They also put in a good amount of intestine but I don't think they put that much lamb in it .. we ran out of lamb before anything else. The flavor was really good and everything went really well together. I wouldn't mind trying the pot in spicy just to see how spicy it can get. The only problem we sort of had was that .. I don't think our waitress spoke or understood an ounce of English. My friend just pointed at the menu for what we wanted to order. We were lucky that some of us could understand Mandarin so at least we knew what she was saying haha. So I guess if you're going to come, get your google translate handy on your phone or bring someone who can communicate to a certain extent. Definitely give this place a try! :)

Yelp
The best mala xiang guo ever in California. Highly recommend. I called the small pot and with so many side dishes and they become a big pot enough for 2

Nicholas C.

Yelp
Medium Sized Spicy Base w/ Mild Spice (22.99), Potato, Celery, Cauliflower, Soybean Sprouts (included), Grilled Cooked Beef (one protein included with price), Sliced Lotus Root (3.59), Black Fungus (2.29), Side of White Rice Absolutely delicious. Large family style serving. Medium is great to share between 2 - 4 people.

Courtney L.

Yelp
Came here with my family of 6 and we left with happy tummies! None of us had ever tried Sichuan food before and we were pretty impressed. We got three medium-sized dry pots to share ($20.99 each), and still had leftovers. Our waitress told us that medium was very spicy, so we got two of our orders mild, and just one of them medium spicy. For me, mild was a good choice as it had a comfortable amount of heat. I had a couple of bites from our medium spicy dry pot and it was uncomfortably spicy -- not enough to set your mouth on fire but just enough to make you contemplate how much more enjoyable your meal would have been had you ordered mild. They offer add-ons at an extra price too. We only got tripe ($3) in one our pots and it was good! All the pots already come with bean sprouts, celery, potato, and cauliflower though. A word on the meats: - Rabbit: If you've never had rabbit before, it basically tastes like porkchop, but has a sharp aftertaste. I didn't quite prefer it. It's chopped up in small pieces and you basically have to gnaw off tiny, crispy slivers of meat from bone. A tad difficult to eat. - Lamb: Similar to ox tail. You have a chunk of bone with meat on the outside. I found it similar to pork belly because it had a lot of gelatinous fat, which I personally enjoy. My siblings thought it was just mushy/slimy though. Also, all of our dry pots pretty much had the same flavor, even though when you order, you specify which sauce you want (including garlic, seafood, hot & sour, spicy..) The only noticeable difference among them was the meat selection and spiciness level. We ended up order over $50 worth of food and so we qualified for a free dessert. They have a small sign written in Chinese up in the front stating this policy but we didn't know until the waitress came and told us after we had ordered and were waiting for our food. We got the sweet pumpkin bread, which didn't taste like pumpkin at all, but rather mochi-like sugar cookies. It was nice that it was free, but I really don't see any reason to order this otherwise. Overall, we had a pleasant experience. The food is very oily though, so eating it with white rice is a must.

Jan C.

Yelp
Eh I'm not impressed. I got almost no pork ribs in my pot and it was full of bones also . Service was not good at all. Would not go back.

Jo H.

Yelp
Great food. Fast service. We have been coming here for 5 years. Their dry pot is the best. Though I noticed their portions has gone way down. We get half of what we use to. For the same price. Rice is now $1 per bowl. I could swear it was free the time before we last went. Our favorite are the beef tendons and the beef tripe. Least favorite was the duck. You get nothing but bones. Not once we had to wait to be seated which is always a plus.

Yelp
Good service friendly crew. A place to eat when it's late. Will keep coming back to this place!

Yelp
The dry pots were okay. It's the first time I've had it and can't say I plan to be back anytime soon. I found the pots to be greasy and the portion on the proteins to be on the chintzy side. There was 1 waitress for a 3/4 full restaurant. She did the best she could but it was a little frustrating. But the food came out promptly.

Yelp
I was in the mood for spicy food and since slave girl was meeting me for lunch, there was no other choice for me other than this place. This was not my first time here and we had good experience the last time we visited. Too bad I couldn't remember what meat we got.... either beef or pork. Anyway, the meat was thinly sliced and we loved it because it soaked up all the sauces before we put them in our belly. This time, I wanted to be exotic, I wanted to be special, I wanted to experience China; then I remembered I had a meeting right after lunch and restroom might not be an option, so we ordered lamb with cabbage and enoki. It was a true shame because lamb came in as chunk meat and it was not seasoned or marinated in the middle. A lot of pieces were coated and tasted good until you bite into it then it got bland. Don't get me wrong though, the pot was still really tasty especially the potato. We also got the side dish noodles, direct translation was "warm dry noodles" . It was mixed with sesame sauce of some sort and strangely addicting. Service wise, well, it was such a pain to get their attentions but they were nice once you had their attentions even though they might forget what you asked for from time to time. It's OK, I forgave them since they were busy cleaning the tables most of the time instead of chatting around and hiding themselves away. I would have given a 3 stars but I found a piece of plastic in the pot. While I really didn't care, I mentioned it to the waitress anyway. She was nice and gave me decent amount of discount for our meal. I guess poo poo happens and I was glad it wasn't a roach... Even though they are kind of on the same scale if you think about it. Well anyway, a friendly note, with 2 people, always order a small on lunch time. A medium is just way too big and unnecessary. I would go back, after I forget about the plastic in my pot.

Yelp
Really delicious and spicy food. We ordered fish fillet dry pot with vegetables. The food was very fresh and nicely prepared. This is bone of the places on my go to list.

Yelp
We got the dry pot with mutton, which was delicious but what concerns me is that the server took our leftover pot of communal rice and rice spatula, added more rice from a rice cooker and gave it to another table of customers... You're paying for the rice too so I'm not sure why they're so stingy. Makes me wonder what they do with leftover dry pots that customers don't finish and take home.

Yelp
We stumbled across this place last weekend when many other restaurants in the area were not open, but to our surprise, it was a fantastic find! We ordered the dry pot with chicken wings and fish fillet and only had to wait 10 minutes for the food to be made. It came in a huge foil tray and had enough food to feed 4 people. We did not add any extras but the pot itself already had potatoes, cauliflower, celery and bean sprouts. The flavor was on point, but not too overwhelmingly spicy. We also ordered the wuhan dry noodles and my husband absolutely loved it. He said he can't wait to go back and eat more of it. It came with a huge order and he literally ate the whole thing. The service was also really great. The guy who answered the phone and handed me my order was very enthusiastic and nice. When I picked up the food, he told me it was really hot and to be careful and taught me how to hold the tray so it wouldn't burn me.

Yelp
This was our first dry pot experience. We're 3 seniors who have a small appetite. We split a fish fillet pot with corn cob added. Really tasty! Minimal grease. Slightly on the salty side. A little skimpy on the fish, though. Mostly potatoes, bean sprouts, and cauliflower under the fish fillets. Our service was outstanding. The waitress was patient with our many questions.
