Chicago’s Best Barbecue Restaurants | Eater Chicago

"This is South Side barbecue without the aquarium. These rib tips and sausages are the star at this barbecue spot. The wings are also worthy." - Ashok Selvam

Our first time here. We ordered the pork tips with fries and the turkey tips with fries and a pork link since we were told they were out of turkey links. The sauces on the tips were good, but It could've used a little more sauce. The food itself was okay but a bit expensive for the amount that we got.

Awesome Black Owned BBQ spot!!! Greeted very nicely, professionally and welcoming, prices fair, variety of BBQued items. Totally satisfied. I would say have a small and large Turkey tip. We'll be back

It's your Boy Twin again, here is a gem 💎 the rough....I move them past Lem to the number 2 spot of my BBQ places. Food: Was a 5 star i had the chicken and tips, but the chicken had a flavor own it's on that was good and with the sauces. The tips was tender now if they can keep this up then they will be around for a long time. Service: it was a call in and pickup and the server was they polite over the phone and reassuring the best which makes it that much more to try them. After getting there she was even nicer in person walk me around the place, which is also a eat in. Atmosphere: The eat in place was nice with a pleasant vibe on if you not in a rush have a seat, and they not nailed to the ground 😉. Only had one con to and it was the food tax. But it was forgiven once I ate 🤣🤣🤣 . Keep up the quality. Revisted I rarely come back to a review and edit from the first time there, but I own it my followers and readers it 7/03/2025. Very disappointed at the transaction and portion had changed DRASTICALLY from about 3months ago $dollars for a tip and link combo with have the size of the container i had my first visit. Especially when you put the fries in there with the food makes it less food and more fries fore $27 and the container is smaller. IF YOU DON'T SELL COMBO PLEASE TELL YOUR CUSTOMERS AT THE TIME OF ORDERING...because then they pay for tips and links separately, then it SHOULD BE 2 SEPARATE ORDERS WITH BOTH HAVING FRIES AND NOT ONE ORDER IN THE SAME CONTAINER. So people please beware of this when order combos that isn't on the menu and they ring it up like they do sell them and give you a half container box. See my second picture from the first time....$27 and container size isn't the correct food portion...🤦‍♂️

If you are a fan of beef ribs but don’t like to cook them …. Come to Qs… if you enjoy a good beef hot link… come to Qs… the fried chicken is good and crispy and they have 3 different sauce choices from mild to spicy…. The fries are great and the Cole slaw is sweet and crunchy. As someone who often orders Turkey and chicken bbq items from other well known BBQ spots .. QS is DEFINITELY in my new permanent line up… I’m so happy they offer beef choices!

Me and my girl where looking for a place to eat one day and we saw this little BBQ spot in the shopping center. So I decided to give it a try. I ordered a half slab of the ribs with the Chi-Town sauce. My girl kept telling me she wasn't hungry. Needless to say when we got home I tried the ribs and she tried a piece and when I tell you she looked at me and said "god damn!" And proceeded to eat half my meal im not kidding 😭😂 that was yesterday. I'm already back here ordering again 😂😂... Definitely worth a try.... 10/10

Stopped by this afternoon to finally check out this new gem. I remember this restaurant on 79th Street. So I’ve ordered the 4 wings and turkey link. I’m not big on BBQ and don’t eat Turkey Links like that, but the food was really good. The lady that took my order was really nice and welcoming. The place is clean and pretty big that I didn’t expect it to be a small sit down restaurant. The turkey Links was made perfectly. Tender, seasoned. Not spicy. The BBQ sauce is sweet and tangy, but a nice kick to it. The wings were fried perfectly and well done. The prices are reasonable. So no complaints here. Actually a good BBQ I’ve had in a very long time. I support them again. Real Talk!

I went by here a few days ago because a friend of mine told me about it! I ordered the turkey tips and fried wings... absolutely delicious and the Chi-Town sauce was the perfect touch! Well guess what... I went back today again and ordered some more turkey tips along with a turkey hot link , smoked wings and pork tips to try and once again the food is ON POINT! Service was quick and the cashier was welcoming and personable! Way to go to my High school classmate and her husband on a spectacular product.

So I ordered ribs tips and a link. 14.99 for the tips but 9.00 for a link!!!!???? I told the person behind the counter, "that had better be a big link." He gave me a look and rung up my order. I was a bit stunned when I open up the container to find a 8 to 9 inch link in there. And they have beef links!!!! I'll admit this big boy melts in your mouth when you bite into it. It was quite tasty. Tips were good too. Now do I think a sausage links is worth 9.00? No. 6.00 is more adequate. Clean place to dine in but most of their customers order to take out. A but pricey here but overall it's good stuff.

Yelp
The service and the food here is worth the trip! First sampled this food at the Sauk Village fest summer of 2024 and my husband and I have been customers ever since. This food is sooooo good. If you are in Posen try it for yourself.

Yelp
Q's Tips and Wings BBQ offers top-notch service with a friendly staff that always greets customers with a smile. The food is consistently perfect, and the location is convenient with plenty of parking. Almost forgot restaurant is always clean, bathrooms included. Every time my wife and I visit Illinois, we make it a point to stop here--it's an absolute must-visit!

Yelp
I saw this new spot and wanted to try it out. The service is very friendly and they greeted me when I came in. The place is clean and they have a nice seating area and also some music playing over the speaker. Very nice ambiance and a nice spot to chill. There is plenty of parking available right in front of the place. I ordered the barbecue wings that comes with fries. I picked the spicy and sweet mix sauce and it was really good. The only thing was that the chicken wings were a little bit over cooked and kind of tough. I was home by the time I realized it. But overall would go back again and try something else.

Yelp
Service over the phone while placing my order was ok, however, when walking into the store, I greeted the cashier, she stated how can I help you. I gave her my name and she got my food from the back. I noticed I didn't see my fries with my tips when getting into my car, therefore I went back into the store and asked her about the fries and she stated they were at the bottom of the bucket. I asked for napkins & utensils because there were none in the bag and she stated they were on the table by the door. The ribs were nearly dry, the fries were soaked in grease from the ribs because they put the ribs on top of the fries in the small bucket which fills up about a third of the bucket and the links are cooked medium with a tough casing when biting into it. When I called to inform her of this, she stated that's how we do it and if I wanted more sauce I could come back to pay for it or next time let them know how I want it. The fact that I informed the lady that this was my first time when placing my order, you'd think she'd informed me of how they prepare their food. To spend almost $50 for service and food like this, isn't worth it.

Yelp
I called in when I was on the way. Merchant refused to take my order because I could not give her my credit card information. I told her I was on the expressway driving there. She said I would have to order when I arrived. I thought that was tacky. Therefore I will not be going back. The food was okay. However, the bread was placed on the bottom of the tips in the container & was smashed. The tips were not that tender.
