3/19/2025-Quady North’s new location is so beautiful over looking the valley and offers a spacious tasting room and outside seating. I had the tasting room to myself and got to hangout with Jorden, who is very knowledgeable, and passionate about all the wines. I personally like the sweeter wines so I recommend the ones I included the pictures with this posting.

Lori Ekdahl

Google
Loved our time at Quady North with Jorden! Great wines and knowledgeable explanation and sharing of their winery with Jorden. Went away happy and with a case (almost) of wine to take to California. Highly recommend!!!

Google
Great wines and great views. It's a very clean and new facility that hosts the tasting room. Very flavorful and bold wines. The tasting menu includes 5 wines one of them a Moscato. The chardonnay is very very lemony! We found a favorite in their blossom infused pistoleta. The GSM could literally pair with anything. The Syrah is really really big! Slightly higher priced bottles than I found on the other Applegate trail establishments but a very well curated and beautiful stop. I'd recommend putting this on your list.

Gianna Cammarota

Google
Spent a beautiful Saturday before christmas here, with my family. We were lucky to be served by the best, Jorden Smith! She is so knowledgeable and gave us a fabulous Tour of the facility. We loove all their Syrah's, the GSM Red and cant wait for the 2023 Rosé. We brought home a bottle of the Sparkling Cab Franc and it was Delicious with our seafood christmas eve dinner. Amazing wines, even better people behind them!

Google
If you've never been, you need to come and give it a try. Some may recall this winery from their space in downtown Jacksonville but their place up here on the hill is something that you need to come and enjoy for yourself, be it summer time or winter!

Google
I attended a casual class at Quady North recently to learn more about wine (I'm a neophyte) and to taste some Rose wines and thoughtful pairings. Even though I was ridiculously late they were warm and accommodating and Joe took great care in catching me up and making sure I had a chance to taste all the wines they were pouring. When I advised her that I had no idea how to properly taste wine, she gave me a crash course and enthusiastically answered all of my questions. Great experience, great wine, great people! Killer sparkling Cab Franc, can't wait to go back!

Amy Hansen

Google
We loved all of the wines so much so that we left with a mixed case of our favorites. Sarah made the wine tasting experience educational and fun. The owner is a 2nd generation winemaker and it shows in the complexity of the wines. Great experience and look forward to our next visit. Tasting room is in the heart of Jacksonville, OR.

Google
My friend and I visited Quady North at the recommendation of the neighbor farmer (whose goat milk I highly recommend!). We were so grateful for his recommendation! Our host, Jorden took the time to chat with us about the wines we were drinking and was great with our dogs. I enjoyed the variety of wines available and of course the views of the Applegate Valley and the paragliders above. I'll be back here for sure!

Ross T.

Yelp
I had an afternoon of excellent wines and the assistance of fantastic staff! Worth the drive.

Yelp
Loved the service! Their wine flight is very affordable at $10 and perfect pairing with the meat and cheese plate. Glad we were accommodated with our last minute reservation . Staff were very friendly.

Richard H.

Yelp
Swung by here recently -- as I do from time to time -- to sample a flight and enjoyed the visit immensely. Rosie behind the counter was super friendly and ultra-well informed abut QN's wines and wines generally. (Tasty plate of nibbles to go with the wine, too.) Quady North gets better with every visit. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We were on a limo wine tour and Showed up here yesterday with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday, this was only our SECOND winery, we felt completely unwelcome when we walked in, then they shorted us for our tasting, my husband called them out for it and they tried to prove him wrong by pouring it into their jigger to measure and my husband ended up being right! They reluctantly gave us more til our friends went In to say the same thing. They refused our friends and walked out SUPER RUDELY and asked us a condescending question "do you guys want to stay or GO?" Then proceeded to tell us they believed we have all been over served and we needed to leave. Remember this was only our SECOND winery, and we are all in the service industry (we know when to cut people off). They were offended by us and our fun right from the get go. We were sitting outside by the fire pit. Minding our own business... We will never be back to this place, they are so incredibly rude and don't deserve the business. Very disappointing. The over all wine tour was excellent, just make sure you skip over quady north when you do one. I wish I could mark zero stars, but I had to click one.

Yelp
Excellent wine . Excellent winemakers. Excellent tasting room manager - Britney Thornton! We always look forward to any time we get to spend at Quady!

Molly B.

Yelp
I am a sommelier who knows a thing or two about wine, and I have to say: Quady North is knocking it out of the park. They feature a whole spectrum of wine styles with the sparkling cab franc as my absolute favorite. Jordan in the tasting room is incredibly professional and knowledgeable. She kept up with all my geeky questions and poured the perfect amount of wine to allow me to drive home safely. The vibe of the tasting room is like modern punk, which draws in a younger (ie; under 50) crowd and the delicious wine is appealing to all (drinking) ages! The only disappointment was the group of people doing a bachelorette party or something. They clearly did not care about the wine (or the staff) and I was so happy when they were asked to leave. I will always and forever recommend the guests at my restaurant to visit Quady North! Thank you for your excellent service and delicious wine.

Yelp
This is my all time favorite Medford wine and possibly my favorite Oregon wine altogether.. Flavors are delightful, wines are on point point and the service is excellent. Point is their motto holds true they will not make bad wine. I highly recommend stopping for a taste and joining the club.

Bella W.

Yelp
Best wines in southern Oregon and amazing prices! Ambiance is bright and beautiful, and everyone is very knowledgeable and friendly!
google avatar

Sandi M.

Yelp
Nice winery. Very clean and staff was pleasant. Most likely we will go again. Once again not a fan of dogs at a winery.

Dennis W.

Yelp
They have an incredible Rose and very fine Syrah. The holiday wine "Solstice" is amazing! In the tasting room we received a warm welcome and a highly informed tasting tour of the wines from the tasting room manager, Britney Thornton. All in all a wonderful experience, good wines and insightful presentation.

Yelp
Quady North is a cute little tasting room on a corner in town. There are a couple of indoor tables and four outdoor tables to sit for tastings. The wines were good, we actually loved their dessert wine, which is normally too sweet for us, yet theirs was delicious. We bought a large bottle of that as it will stay good for several months after opening. This was a fun little place and our server was very fun. Stop by for a tasting when you're in town.

John K.

Yelp
Stopped by Quady North this past week and had a fun time with wine host Jorden. She is very knowledgeable and provided insight to the surrounding wine area. Also got to taste some wines not on the rotational wine tasting menu for the day. This winery is growing and will have a wine cave in the future. For now the tasting room and outdoor space works , yet go here for the wines and the educational experience. I'll be back

Yelp
Locally grown & Family owned & run Friendly Wine-tenders, wonderful atmosphere, indoor & outdoor seating. EV chargers available, handicap accessible, gender neutral restrooms & reasonably priced. Beautiful wine tasting room, the vineyard is a must see, great wine by Herb Quady, one of the best winemakers in Oregon. Winemakers wife, Meloney designs their fabulous label art for the wine bottles. Quady North sparkling is AMAZING!!!! Their new tasting room and winery is now on their vineyard property in the Applegate on Hwy 238 in the Rogue Valley. The view is terrific. Quady North Vineyard, tasting room is a must go to. Pics to come

Michael E.

Yelp
Wow. Great vineyard and winery. Me and my wife aren't keen on rose but this I would buy a case of. Different then the run of the mill fruit style. It had some good tannin and acidity which brought forth some unique flavor profiles. The Tempranillo was great as well as the Pinots. Oregon has some fine Pinots and this place is up there with the best. Friendly service and quiet but nice tasting room.

Heather M.

Yelp
I love this place! Great wine and amazing service by Jorden. She was very friendly and informative.

Greg W.

Yelp
This place a good variety of wine and it is very good. The service was exceptional. Britney answered all of our questions and gave us some great ideas.

Carla S.

Yelp
The wine is exceptional, and the tasting room manager, Britney Thornton, made us feel right at home. Definitely one of my favorite wineries in Oregon.
google avatar

Mark L.

Yelp
This place was worth driving a four hours too. No really. The wine is great, the art on the bottles are also effortlessly cool AF and Jacksonville was surprisingly cute. Tasting room team was also cool AF. Everyone should go and buy some wine. Road trips are fun AF, and two buck chuck is terrible. Just don't.

Yelp
We've been a fan of Quady for a long time.... On a recent road trip to Cali, we stopped in on our way home. Super friendly guy working the tasting room, we even signed up on their club. It's nice to have wine from other areas of Oregon, since we live in Pinot country...already planning a trip back this Spring for more exploring in Jacksonville!

Yelp
We were very disappointed in our visit to this tasting room. Definitely got the vibe right away that, unless you're a local, you're not welcome here. The gentleman server/cashier was indifferent, uninterested and rude. He was very short and snippy and seemed to have little or no patience for our group. He seemed annoyed to even have to be serving us. The, the couple behind us, who brought their dog in - no problem folks I don't care about dogs ... I DO care about them being sat on the countertop {ya know, where we all order our drinks from} and allowed to sit there - no. Dogs should not be allowed to sit on a countertop where orders are placed. The pup, who was adorable by the way, sat there the entire time the couple was ordering. This is not adorable - it's annoying and it's gross. The very unfriendly server/cashier along with the dog on the countertop would prevent me from coming back here. Only giving 2* because the wine was actually excellent. Some customer service educating staff that tourists are a very important part of your business are needed here before I would ever return.

Lynn P.

Yelp
We are members here from California and finally got to the new tasting room! We had the pleasure of meeting Jorden and she was great with us! She shared the entire history of the family and was so knowledgeable of the wines. We had a great time and really appreciate that we could get a bite to eat there too! See ya in July!

Yelp
The wine gem of Southern Oregon, and if they had a tasting room in Napa or Sonoma would be making waves there. Can't say enough about these amazing wines, wine labels (designed by the wine maker's wife), wine maker and tasting room. On a recent visit to Ashland found this wine popping up everywhere - OSF Concession, The CoOp, Market of Choice and even Safeway. The labels are so memorable and eye-catching they reminded me of Bonny Doon, and I later learned the winemaker once worked there, so he clearly picked up great marketing tips as well as exceptional winemaking skilz. Went to the tasting room and the hostess Brittney (hope I spelled that right) was both knowledgeable about wine and just a lovely, down to earth person. Whites, Roses, Reds, and Desserts - they do it all and span so many varietals there is something for everyone. I tasted things that would make perfect gifts for loved ones with very different palates, so there's the proof. Plus, GOT themed wine T-shirts - need I say more? But I will... Since I can't buy this wine in California I bought a case and signed up for the wine club. I'm thrilled to have a great stash of Quady North in my little wine cabinet and can't wait for my first shipment! :-)

Yelp
If you drink wine & spin into absurdity one taste in, Quady North will cradle your deep dives into buzzed hilarity with all the care of a teen handling their egg/baby for the week. The shop is small & tastefully decorated. The staff is serious at first, but scratch the surface & you'll find a wellspring of anecdotes, featuring close calls with Amish buggies & life at the intersection of bikers, farmers & coca growers. Oh, the wine! It's delicious - buy some. High marks for the cab, smoky this year but not tainted. The Rose is crisp and refreshing. Definitely our one of our favorite stops along the Oregon wine trail ( spoiler - no one died of dysentery, buuuut we weren't able to haul all 1500 pounds of food.)

Karyn R.

Yelp
What an awesome winery! Very knowledgeable and helpful. Best wine club in Southern Oregon! Love the new location! Keep it up Quady!!!!

Yelp
Wines. I find the wines here range from good to exceptional. Highlights include the Syrah, Cab Franc and the Arsensal, which is their Franc/Merlot blend that rocks. Remember - taste is subjective, and therefore, so too is wine preferences. I like blue cheese, you like mushrooms, not necessarily vice-versa. Service. The young lady who helped us was fantastic. She was very knowledgaable and engaging, and i sensed that she was either passionate or committed about the topic of wine. I always appreciate when tasting room staff actually holds a conversation with you, and she did exactly that. Kudos to the wine tasting lady. The one with the cool black-rimmed glasses. You know who you are, thanks. Experience. Unlike other rooms, there is a separate area for kids at this tasting room. No minors are allowed in bar area, but there is a seating area where your young one can quietly play Angry Birds while the parents sip on the Arsenal. Woohoo, a good experience overall, and a high recommend from me. If you're looking for a good local wine, this is the one I would point you to (Weisinger's in Ashland would be second).

Yelp
I feel so lucky that when we were there, we got to meet Herb, the winemaker. ANd, he talked to us about the wines and poured for us. That was a meaningful experience. THey have great customer service, a great vibe inside the shop and the wines are really great too. My personal favorite was the Viognier, it was really fresh and crisp. We also got an orange muscat (with out oranges in it, but the version of grape they use has an orange-y taste) I highly recommend checking out this winery if you are in the J-ville area!
google avatar

Anna M.

Yelp
My husband and I visited and loved the wine. It's a cute little tasting room, lots of good wine, the hand drawn labels are all very cool, but the tasting room employee lacked enthusiasm. It didn't seem like he wanted to be there, or have people in the tasting room. I thought it was just us but there was a group of ladies that came in after us and he was just as abrasive to them. We really liked the wine and bought some but our overall experience was just ok because of the lack of service. We probably won't go back.

Yelp
I love QN wines- Pistoleta is my favorite! I have always wanted to visit the tasting room, but it's usually closed when we are in Jacksonville. Imagine my surprise when we found ourselves there a few weeks ago and the tasting room was open. I was stoked! We walk in and were lukewarmly greeted by a guy who seemed really unenthused that we were there. I actually wondered for a split second if we were coming in close to closing, as we were the only ones there, and that's why he wasn't happy. We weren't. It's awkward because it is a small tasting room. We started our tasting and the wine ambassador would tell us a little about the wine and then stand there awkwardly, while we tried to make jokes to ease the discomfort. After the second wine, I suggested to my husband that we go sit on the chairs near the door rather than linger at the "bar". It was so uncomfortable. The wines were really good, we even enjoyed the dessert wine, which is usually not our thing. But, we couldn't get out of there fast enough. If your tasting room is this small, it's imperative to have someone at the helm who is friendly, inviting and exudes good energy. Otherwise the feeling of being unwelcome overrides the joy of tasting great wine. Bummed.
google avatar

Frank Z.

Yelp
Great local wine tasting room. Syrah is great! Of course I a here with an elite Yelper so it's intimidating! But back to the winery a definite stop when in the area!
google avatar

Kylee C.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic dessert wine with botanicals that I drink after any stomachache that I have... The girl who did the pouring was nice and extremely knowledgeable. I also enjoyed their creative name for the port-style wine "Starboard" and their labels were worth buying even if you didn't like the wine, which we did :)
google avatar

Ben S.

Yelp
The best thing about their wines were the labels. The service was poor. The wines were ok but you don't have to settle when you're here for ok wines and poor service. Save yourself and go to the next vineyard or tasting room you want
google avatar

Danny W.

Yelp
Hell yeah! This place has a killer vibe and the wines are awesome. My server was really good very knowledgeable. We had a great back and forth conversation about wines of the area. Their Cab Franc's are on point and I'm a big fan of their Arsenal red wine. On top of that the twist they have put on 3L mags putting them in a ammo box is rad! One of my favorite tasting rooms in Oregon. This place just has character left and right.
google avatar

Brian A.

Yelp
This place is a gem in an adorable town! Davis really went above and beyond when we visited. Next time I'm up from LA I'll definitely be coming back for more of their dessert wine. Cheers!
google avatar

Lindsay D.

Yelp
Love the artwork in the bottles, very knowledgeable and personable tasting room staff.

Kate P.

Yelp
Won't go back. It was not good. Service was curt. The wines were neutral to... horrendous. I hate to say it but one of the red wines tasted rank and funky, that's even how it was described on a wine tasting website. Really the worst thing I've ever tasted in my life, and a taste that lingers in my memory. And the one sweet wine in the tasting line up was vile, like a mouthful of perfume. I can't un-live that experience and I still shudder when I think of it. It's been a month. It was so bad I couldn't even bear to leave a review until now. Sorry
google avatar

Sarah L.

Yelp
I had a fantastic visit, Davis helped us with our tasting flight and we had a wonderful time. We enjoyed all the wine we were offered. We actually witnessed the woman prior pour her wine which is a NO BUENO in any Establishment. He never left for more than a couple minutes so...take a breather an let people do their jobs? They needed to Clean some glasses if they are running low? Check them out, love this place :-)

Jody S.

Yelp
Amazing tasting and delightful young lady who was only four days into a new job but with a great passion and knowledge of the wines she served and what a great personality myself and two friends not only tasted several amazing wines but had many great laughs with a new friend. Though a small winery several new varieties were introduced to us and I must say there was not one wine I did not find to be superb. If you are in the area give it a try you will not be disappointed!
google avatar

diane r.

Yelp
This is a sweet find! Stopped this evening and loved the wine & most of all Kate our pourer! She knows her wine! Walked out with 2 lovely bottles of the Syrah & Arsenal and a little more knowledge about Jacksonville's delights. Kate was a lady after my own heart.....good food & wine! Is there anything else more important?
google avatar

Ralph K.

Yelp
Great in-town tasting. Really knowledgeable dude led us through tasting. Relaxed experience. Liked the white and the dessert wine best.

Don S.

Yelp
Great tasting room in Jacksonville with a very nice young lady with enthusiasm pouring the wines. The owner stopped in with customers and was very approachable and helpful when I asked him about wines to take home with me on the airline in my checked baggage. Oh, the wines were great, too! The QPR was excellent as was the variety of bottlings. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Quady North should be on everyone's itinerary when visiting the wine regions of Southern Oregon. It is conveniently located in the tourist town of Jacksonville and offers wines from Southern Oregon along with aperitifs and dessert wines from the Quady Winery in California. The full line-up will appeal to all types of wine drinkers. The Cab Franc is the best you will find from the region and the Syrahs and Viogniers rank up there too.

Sally O.

Yelp
Ordered a flight and then waited 10 minutes for our host to wash dishes to get to us for the next pour.....Seemed locals where getting heavy pours and ours was 1/4 inch......we waited......Little did he know that we were locals....he waved his fingered at us when I complained!! Yikes! No Bueno from 3rd st. !
google avatar

Rob B.

Yelp
Went on an Applegate Valley wine tour all day. This was our first--and favorite--stop. Try the rose or the Electra.

Cathy D.

Yelp
Great wines and awesome labels! I did a rose tasting finished with their GSM and a dessert wine. I wanted to buy the store out! Great tasting room associate who explained the rich history of this wine making family as well as their process.
google avatar

B C.

Yelp
Wine was solid, the syrah was phenomenal, and the staff was great. Music was a bit of an odd choice (early 90s pop?), but that didn't detract from the experience too much. Wished both tasting fees were waived after purchasing a bottle of wine (rather than just one person's).
google avatar

Taylor A.

Yelp
Joe is fantastic at running the Quady North Tasting Room. I've been a Quady North wine club member for a few years and I really appreciate Joe's knowledge of the QN wines, his easy going personality, he always remembers my name, and he's deft in managing different groups simultaneously. I've run in before to pick up a few bottles, and Joe will be in the middle of a tasting, yet he does such a great job of tending to his current tasting clients, as well as me in processing my order, that no one feels slighted. My uncle is driving up from Sonoma next week for a little vacation and I look forward to taking him to meet Joe and enjoy Quady's excellent wines. Cheers! PS - any review below about Quady's wines not being good must think red wine vinegar is the gold standard of fine wines. Herb is an internationally acclaimed wine maker and his wines regularly receive accolades from all the top wine critics.
google avatar

Vicky M.

Yelp
Great place to stop after a bike ride from Ashland-or even if you are in a car. The guy who was pouring was super friendly and full of great information about the wines but also about the local scene. He turned us on to a show in Ashland that we probably would not have taken in if he hadn't recommended it. The syrah was my favorite, sweet with spicy notes. The dessert wine, Essencia, was a yummy orange muscatel. Also met great people just hanging out, enjoying the air conditioning and drinking wine.

a n.

Yelp
Amazing wine, awesome winemakers. Family owned and operated- once you meet the Quadys, you will leave feeling like best friends. Herb is a master winemaker, extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic, taking great pride in his wine- and it shows. Every label, hand drawn by Herb's wife Melanie, showcases the love and care put into each wine variety. Their wines each have a long list of awards from around the Northwest. No trip to Jacksonville is complete without a stop at the Quady North Tasting Room.
google avatar

Jill M.

Yelp
I've been drinking Quady's wines since I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area. How stoked are we to have Herb Quady making wine in the Rogue Valley?? SO stoked!!
