"This homegrown coffee company is the place where locals gather each morning for fresh-brewed coffee and pastries. Owner Joe Finkelstein has since added an additional D.C. location in Eckington." - Tim Ebner

"Qualia Coffee in Petworth is still roasting beans daily from Sumatra, Colombia, Brazil, Honduras, El Salvador, and Nicaragua (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.). Owner Joel Finkelstein’s second location in Eckington is also open for takeaway coffee paired with portable sugar and creamer and light pastries (8 a.m. to 1 p.m.)." - Tierney Plumb

"Qualia feels more like your neighbor's comfy living room than an upscale coffee shop in Petworth—and that's totally fine with us. Their unabashed "no WiFi on weekends" policy makes them a destination for java-loving capital residents who don't feel like sitting amid a sea of laptops, fostering a strong contingent of regulars. And it's not just the lack of pecking and glazed-over eyes that keeps them coming: Beans are roasted on-site, and there's typically at least five different single-origin options each day. Oh, and there are free tastings held every Sunday. You're welcome." - Laura Ratliff

Had a doctors appointment across the street and arrived a bit early so decided to try out a local coffee shop and wanted to get some breakfast. Got a chai latte with an espresso shot that was AMAZING!!! Not many food options at 8 am when I arrived but it’s a nice cool spot to just relax…

Outstanding quality coffee. I had a pour over that was just wonderful. The Ethiopian beans had all the fruity character I love about that origin. The blueberry muffin was a perfect compliment. The service was great - the barista was very personable and helpful while serving multiple customers! Kudos to Quality Coffee!! I'll be back!

They source from ethical coffee farms and have amazingly fresh coffee, without pretense. What a wonderful DC business!

If you are on the area and want a decent iced latte this is the place to be! Very good service, laid back place. Simple but good. The cookies were excellent!

Their coffee is really good - no fuss! Multigrain bagel was delicious - cream cheese and tomato is the way to go!

The coffee is decent and the cappuccino is small but that’s all irrelevant to my review. The barista Jess was very rude to me and my mom. The owner could afford to hire people with better people skills.

Coffee isn't supposed to be sour nor look like this. 😕 A "natural product" means bad quality? Sure .... I think the process is lacking.
