Quality Inn & Suites Gilroy

Despite mostly enjoying my stay here, the other Quality Inns usually serve breakfast but this one does not which ruined my time here. I was deceived by the reviews here that they serve breakfast but they really don’t. I should have stayed at the Comfort Inn or Best Western instead. Instead I had to go get my own. And also they are understaffed in the mornings, they should have one person set up breakfast while another person stays on the front desk, not one person doing both. It’s ridiculous

We stayed here for two days and we found it be a reasonably good. While the price was almost close to the pricier hotels, the overall quality lacked. The rooms were tiny, floors were not clean and found dead insects on the floor, on the ceiling, holes in the wall, the intermittently working AC, minimal breakfast (it is in one of the tiny room, 111 and the keys would not even work) made the experience not so good. On the other side the people at reception were responsive, polite and the beds were comfortable.

The room was clean but the bed was lumpy and the bath towel small and thinish. The breakfast was good but when people's keys wouldn't let them in the young woman seemingly in charge couldn't be bothered to take off her headphones and do something or even stay on hand to open the door.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the kids enjoyed the pool. There weren't a lot of dining option nearby besides fastfood, but otherwise the hotel suites our needs. Check-in staff were kind and helpful and the waffle maker was good for breakfast.

Room was clean and quiet, towels were generous size and nice quality. Bed was comfortable and linens were also good quality, enough pillows for us. Bathroom was clean and hot water ample. Breakfast was ok but no eggs or meats offered. Desk service was very good, friendly check in and out. Parking was free and close to the room. Overall a very nice stay and we will come again.

It appears that the room was somewhat recently renovated but had a strange odor. Nothing an air freshener couldn't easly tackle, good water pressure and awesome hot water, refrigerator with freezer, small microwave, all clean and functional. I was in town for a week. My room was functional, simple with a great location.

The staff is great and check in was quick. It was overall good experience to stay there. The rooms were spacious and clean. The parking is easy and convenient as well. The location is great as well to take freeway.

Perfectly acceptable budget hotel, reception was polite and quick. The room was clean and tidy , a bit worn but had everything you would need. | Breakfast was a bit sparse, but this was my first hotel on this trip so might be par thease days.| After a ten hour flight all I wanted was a comfortable bed abd this did thr job

Not the worst, but needs some improvement Pros; Decently clean Comfy bed Decent WiFi Has a hot tub Cons; Small parking lot. Room is a bit dated, with stains on chair and other surfaces. All in all, worth it IF it is cheap.

Room marginal and not very clean. BEWARE: was told free WiFi and given the log in. Logged in set up temp acct only to get an alert from my bank that asked if I was charging 68.30 out of state . Of course I said no, when they told me it was the hotel whose WiFi had been hacked!!! It was a site in India and now have tried to charge my account TWO times. Every one of my online accounts now have High alert data leak / password compromised on them. I am now trying to fix all this and also change the password on every single account I have! Not worth staying here for the inexpensive rate. DON'T stay here

Please read this review before staying at this hotel: My wife and I stayed at this hotel primarily for the hot tub. The hot tub was not even close to hot, despite calling and confirming that the hot tub was up and running. The breakfast has absolutely no protein or hot food options. The worst part about the stay was that the carpet was ripped/torn/frayed at the junction between bed area and bathroom tile. I stepped on a carpet tack at midnight, and punctured my foot and led to pain and bleeding. Upon checking out, the manager of the hotel initially refused any refund whatsoever. Finally the manager agreed to a 25% discount. I agreed, and then I never even received the refund back to my credit card. Please, stay elsewhere, there are a lot of other hotel options in the area.

Terrible stay Poor communication regarding lack of housekeeping Hot tub not heated Pictures of property are not an accurate description of the hotel Pictures show eggs and sausage for breakfas. All that was offered was OJ, coffe, pastries, waffles. and yogurt. We came to town for a funeral and chose the hotel for the breakfast options. Only one star because I can't do 0

The price may be right but beware. If you don't mind meeting new friends, the homeless folks who live behind the hotel will welcome you. Their tents aren't all that intrusive and they are mild mannered but since the cops can't do anything to relocate them, consider relocating yourself. To help with conversation starters, bring some cigarettes. They do smoke a lot and those fumes do infiltrate the hotel rooms but since they are a part of society now, bring a few packs and they are likely to welcome you to their group. Stains on the carpet of the room? Yes, but that's why the rates are so low.

We decided to stay in Gilroy overnight rather than driving home from the Gilroy Gardens Christmas Party (we live a few hours away). Quality had a good location and decent price. On our way to our room, there were no smoking signs everywhere, but the outdoor stairwell reeked heavily of smoke, so not everyone else as abiding. I was also disappointed that our room had a smoke smell as well. I'm pretty sensitive to smoke and get migraines, but it wasn't enough to set them off so we didn't ask for a room change. Later in the evening and the next morning we didn't notice the smell anymore, so I don't think it's necessarily typical. The rooms are old but clean enough. Good amenities (facial/body soap, lotion, shampoo, and conditioner). I also liked the shower, it wasn't as wet as leaky as most motel showers where your clothes in the bathroom floor get wet, the water was actually contained inside the shower curtain! The beds were pretty good for a motel as well, reasonably soft. The noise was pretty minimal, except people were up and slamming their doors by about 6 am in a Sunday, which I wasn't expecting. The location is good, with restaurants nearby and a Black Bear Diner across the street. Ample parking, and there in a pool and hot tub on site but we didn't use it. All in all, it's a decent value and we'd stay again if in the area.

Staff is nice but the place is run down! Sure it's inexpensive but the carpet is dirty, there's cigarette burns in the comforter, and the facet leaks. The worst part is there's a homeless encampment behind the hotel building. I did not feel safe staying there. I'm never coming back!

This horrible establishment caused me a extreme amount of distress. Friends and I spent 1 night there while traveling. The blow dryer literally ate and burned pieces of my hair off! After showing clerk and sending pictures, the manager did about NOTHING. Not even a sincere concern or apology. I filed a complaint with city public department as well.

This hotel is below a one star. The workers are rude and I can understand why, I would not want to work there or let alone sleep at the Quality inn and suites ever again. There are bums behind the hotel and if you stay in the back you get a straight shot out the window of their tents. The bathrooms are not well cleaned , there was mold and rust (gross). I would also not recommend this area in Gilroy CA too, in the middle of the night there was gun shots. My family and I after we inspected the room and hotel wanted to get a refund and go somewhere else, they did not give you your money back. Overall do not stay here and be safe in Gilroy.

We had a nice stay. We stayed in the non smoking section. (They do have smoking rooms.) The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. Check in was simple and the woman at the front desk was really nice. The light switches have lights on them, which make them easy to find in the dark, but if you like total darkness to sleep I suggest a sleep mask. They give the whole room a soft orange glow. My one complaint is that we could hear someone else's TV at 1 in the morning, but we turned on the fan and that easily drowned out any noise. Overall nice stay.

Husband and I typically stay at the higher end hotels. We came to visit the outlets and our good friends happened to be in San Jose so we booked last minute. I, myself, typically only stay at casino hotels if traveling a little further. Upon arrival, we did wait about 10 minutes for the guests before us to book the hotel. Front desk receptionist was very sweet. It took us about 7 minutes to get checked in. Asked us questions regarding preferences of hotel floor. We decided to stay on the first level right in front of our car. Hotel was clean. Shower was huge. Breakfast was decent but much better than some of the hotels we have been to in the last two years due to COVID. Bed was comfortable. AC/heater worked well. My only complaint was that the hot water was mildly hot. I did not enjoy my shower since my back was not in fire but this specifically wouldn't hinder my great and convenient experience here. Would I come back? Most definitely and it's much cheaper than the hotels we normally book if we don't get them for free.

This place sucks. Rude staff, below basic rooms, don't do it! Also loud construction going on right outside the door of the room.

Very nice hotel. The clerk at the desk was very nice and helpful to start our visit. The lobby was clean and inviting. Our room was very clean and ready upon our arrival. The bed was firm and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had a huge shower. Will stay here again.

I had an amazing stay! The rooms are really clean and come with everything you need. All soaps Fridge Cable TV Safe area too! The free breakfast is amazing! Waffles Yogurt Juices Just awesome! Nearby stuff Chevys Liquor store just a 1 min walk away The location is right off the freeway too and In n out burger down the street! Definitely a great stay.

What a horrible stay! It started with all the hair in the room and a blood stain on the wall. Then the wifi didn't work only for them to say it works best at the ends of the building. The coffee maker was very dirty and the pool and spa were closed. Add the smell of weed and I couldn't wait to leave this place!

Almost gave a 4 ,The grab and go breakfast is decent rooms seem to be clean but there is a lingering odor smell which is a little bit disturbing all in all it's a pretty fair hotel

Good place to stay, for the price, the room was clean and comfortable, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast Bags were excellent. Even located right off the freeway it was extremely quite.

WARNING: Great place if you want to sleep 5 feet away from homeless encampments and you love the smell of urine and rot. I was able to get a refund due to my room smelling like something was decomposing inside. The staff refused a refund until they actually opened the door themselves and were overwhelmed by the smell. The managers idea of fixing the room was spraying fabreeze but he clearly knew there was no fixing once he smelled for himself. You can smell the rot 10 feet before you even get to the room. I've never smelt anything so horrible. I'm still mystified as to what could have caused that kind of smell. Also notable is the fact that Homeless encampments surround the hotel...directly behind the wall to the rooms.

I have no idea how Choice Hotels inspects this hotel and lets it pass. Smelling a bribe, me thinks. As a long retired hotelier and inspector for Cendant properties (Ramada's etc), I can tell you this place is hardly worth the price, nor the trouble, and the cleanliness issues abound. It's spray-painted well mind you, but underneath, it's FILTHY! Will post a pic of the mold in my bathroom! First......I booked this hotel by surprise, actually.....not thinking I was going to have to stop in Gilroy for the night. Called an hour ahead and booked a AAA rate of $75. Not bad in my book, but was sorely disappointed after checking in late and being too exhausted to haul my booty across the street to the very simple Ramada Limited or the Best Western.....both of which would have been better choices. First....no elevator. Hauling 7 bags and two laptops upstairs was a pain. (( I was NOT going to leave it in my car!) Was advised no ground floor rooms available....however....at nearly ten pm on a Saturday night, as I drove around the property...over half the ground floor curtains were still open, telling me the rooms were unoccupied. (Boy, do I hate a liar!) Then, I get to my room.....seems clean enough. Single cup coffee maker, an actually NICE fridge/freezer/microwave set and standard other hotel items. Cheapest shampoos, soaps, towels, etc......certainly not quality enough for a Suites property. Top cover of the bed had a dried booger smear over the part that covered the top sheet....I nearly lost it there, but since I know better and took the bedspread off anyway, it didn't bug me too much. Both side table lamps were rickety and rusted at the joints. Weird, but since I only used one lamp, I dealt with it. By now it's midnight after I've grabbed a bite at the Chevy's (nice and close and a hell of a lot friendlier than the staff at the Quality Inn) I definitely wear slippers in a hotel room and here I'm glad I did again. ('nuff said) Bathroom. One word. EEEEWWWWW! Mold around tub, (yes, black MOLD) crusty shower head, two skimpy towels and a hanging sign that proclaimed the beauties and benefits of a curved shower curtain rod, mesh shower curtain, etc.....uh, yeah. Right. I'm sure some folks will think of that while they inspect the MOLD while showering. Needless to say, I never touched the tub/shower. The Good: I was offered a Continental Breakfast. (I didn't imbibe in that as I had already seen how Housekeeping keeps the tub/shower/bedspreads, etc....I had fears for the kitchen!). The internet worked just fine. In spite of an EXTREMELY firm bed, I was able to sleep just fine. It WAS right off the freeway and conveniently located. From my room I was able to spot at least two other hotels I could stay at next time. As well as a diner, convenience store and gas station. Lesson learned. In sum....it was not quite a "never again" experience (hence the two stars) but definitely not likely and not recommended to others.

Checked in after midnight, the night manager was outstanding. This location is on Hwy 101 at the Leaveseley exit and in the AAA book is known as the Leavesley Inn, my room was immaculate, spacious, quiet and well worth the $75:00 that included Tax with the AAA discount. I liked the morning continental breakfast, hot coffee and it was 20 minutes away to my next destination in Watsonville. Compared to my Friday night stay at the El Rancho Motel in Watsonville this location was heaven. This Quality Inn had a pool. In the morning the clerk overcharged me by $10.00 and he was quick to make the correction. I will return .

Very nice for the price range, clean, comfortable and reasonably quiet considering the location next to the fwy. The staff were all really friendly. Breakfast here included hot eggs and sausage, they also had a waffle maker and other 'continental' fares. The area where the food was served was kept clean and the food was well stocked. Our room was recently remodeled so it felt clean and new. Easy to get in and out of and convenient being right by the on/off ramps. I could easily stay here again next time I'm in the area.

My family and I stayed here while on vacation a few weeks back, and although our stay was decent, it was far from perfect. The room we stayed in was nice, but a little bit outdated, and was not the cleanest it could've been. There were holes in the wall in the shower, and the bathroom sink was like right in the bedroom, which was strange to me. The complimentary breakfast the following morning was decent, with the hotel offering rubbery tasting eggs, charred sausage and bacon, and other various breakfast items. All in all our experience was decent , but personally, I would probably not stay here again.

I went back and yes they do serve a continental breakfast which was ok. But the coffee was watered down, which was a pisser. Thank you to the overnight desk clerk, a woman who helped me change rooms when my neighbor decided to blare his TV at 2am and make crazy loud phone calls. The check in was excessively long and the check out not helpful. A few of the clerks are excellent!!! Thank you. And two need to learn to smile and touch type. I'd still stay here again because they keep it clean, comfortable mattress with decent bedding, and grounds are nice. Pet friendly with $10/pet. Free wifi and parking.

My 1-star rating is not because of the quality of the actual room, the room was fine, comfortable beds, we slept great and the room was clean. However there was a sort of mildewy chewing tobacco smell permeating our non smoking room. My reason for 1-star was the customer service. We ending upcoming up a day earlier than expected and paying for an extra night at the hotel as we have a one month old baby with us and we didn't make it up to San Fran as planned, you fly by the seat of your pants with a newborn, and our travel plans changed suddenly and we are no longer staying the second night which I have already paid for. Because I booked it through hotels.com there is nothing that anyone can do to refund our money since we missed the penalty window. Zero flexibility at all. No making a phone call or even offering to TRY and help us. We have a new baby and losing $120 sucks! That's a lot of diapers! So we will not be coming back here. Next time we will stay at best western across the street. Oh but they did offer us 10% off a room in the future... What a deal...

Me and husband and our two kids and two dogs stayed. We paid for our dogs stay also it started out to be a good night til the morning. The landlord seen me and my husband walking our dogs and ran outside yelling at us saying we need to leave or he's going to call he police because we didn't pay for them. I told him I will go up stairs and get my paper work to prove it he still kept yelling tell us to leave. He was telling so loud the other people that stayed came out including our kids. That was so embarrassing they could of gave us she of our money back for the embarrassement.

The rooms are clean, service are friendly, you get free wifi and breakfast. Just a bit pricey for the rooms you get..

My stay at the Quality Inn (QI) the other day was wonderful! Yes, I have stayed at better establishments and yes, unfortunately, I have stayed at worse. I was going to area for an event and needed an inexpensive place to stay and in the bay area that is not easy to find. I like to read reviews and I like to stay at name brand hotels versus privately owned hotels/motels. I decided on QI and I was SO happy that I made a great choice. We arrived a little early and decided to check-in with hopes that it would be okay. The gentleman at the desk was so very pleasant and accommodating. They offer coffee and free popcorn. Our room was nice and it was clean. The bathroom was clean and I kind be a germphobe since I travel with my anti-bacterial wipes, Lysol and my own bedding. The area was fine as were the other guests of the inn. I had no problems at all. I appreciated the in-room blow dryer, fridge and microwave. I LOVE that there were outlets on EACH of the lamps (each side of the bed) so that we could charge our phones. One suggestion: perhaps they could consider keeping the pool open a little longer than 9:00 p.m. I know that I will be staying here once again if I ever need to go to the SJ area. I was very happy with my stay at Quality Inn and I hope that this helps you. Thank you to the sweet gentleman who helped us chek-in. I felt like a valued guest.

So im pregnant in my second trimester and slipped and fell out of the shower. I fell backwards hitting my back against the toilet and on my bottom. Both areas are very sore. There was NO rail of any kind to grab nor a mat to stand on in the shower. Literally nothing to stop a fall. The manager (Vijay Patel) is absolutely terrible. The bill was 154 and all we asked was to have our room comped. He only took off 40 dollars and said because an ambulance wasn't necessary that its "not a big deal". Apparently you have to lose your baby to get a comped room. He didn't even apologize or seem empathetic in any way. He absolutely did not care about a pregnant woman falling. I will never go here again and I suggest everyone else the same.

I made the reservation/payment online at 10pm and an hour later I was checking in as there were no vacancies I could afford in nearby Monterey. The room was very clean and pleasant. I could smell something funny (that wasn't cig smoke) and realized they were a pet friendly motel, but as soon as the AC was blasting it took away the smell. Located close to freeway but I couldn't hear any traffic noise. Conveniently, a chili's (or something akin to it) is right next door as well as a clean gas station/convenience store. I enjoyed the continental breakfast, coffee maker in my room and the fridge. More importantly I felt safe...to bad I couldn't sleep for the life of me (no fault whatsoever of Quality Inn). I did wish I had the AAA discount as I paid 109.00 including tax 3.5 stars

Stayed recently to attend the garlic festival. I was impressed that our room was so clean and the bathroom too! The bathroom was cleaner than hotels I have stayed at in Las Vegas. We did not partake of the continental breakfast. The only negatives are the property around the hotel which is full of weeds, the broken refrigerators stacked up by the stairs and the homeless camp behind the hotel that we viewed from our room.

Chose this hotel because a friend of ours from CT was staying here for the CrossFit Games over in Aromas but more importantly for us Quality Inn is pet friendly. The room was clean, good-sized, provides free WiFi (which is how I'm typing this review right now) and while I'm not partaking of the continental breakfast I will be using the microwave and good sized mini-fridge in my room to have my breakfast. The Quality Inn is also very conveniently located to the 101. We'd definitely stay here again the next time we're in Gilroy - perhaps for the Garlic Festival at the end of July should we venture up here again.

Great hotel for price. Lovely location. The location is quiet. Recently renovated, rooms comfortably furnished. Little freezer refrigerator combo and microwave. The coffee maker in room is meh but there is nice coffee at the front desk. Loved that it was quiet and the parking and grounds are nicely landscaped. This our second stay in a choice hotel and really am liking them. We were also able to turn off the air conditioning thankfully and the fan. The little complimentary breakfast was just fine too. Highly recommend for overnight stay while on the road.

Stayed twice and noticed bugs crawling around during each stay. Made me feel a bit squirmy. Otherwise, relatively nice considering the location. Walking distance from some eateries and an outlet shopping center.

Probably stay here again-The front desk was very nice- they let me check in early I was exhausted! The room was fine- a little dated but no problems. I'm deducting one star for the noise. There was this sound- a fairly loud banging in the wall that could have been the pipes. It wasn't another person from the next room. It went on almost constantly. Good thing I had earplugs and the fan to drown out the noise.The outdoor noise from the road was also pretty loud, but again the fan covered most of it. I did like the shower -it was obviously updated a bit and the room was clean. Also, I was charged twice by mistake -nobody's fault-and they took care of it right away when I checked out. Excellent customer service.

The staff at this hotel is horrible. Really rude. The room is average, small, nothing special. The beds were not comfortable. The towels are very thin and small. The hotel is located behind a closed down Chevys restaurant. I was concerned for the security of our vehicles. We stayed one night, it was a last minute stay in Gilroy CA. This hotel was not cheap, but I believe you get what you pay for so I didn't mind. We checked out of our room the following morning and as we were loading our luggage into our cars, the manger walked up to us in the parking lot to inform us that he was charging us an extra $150 for the room because he accused us of having a pet, which was a complete lie. I don't have any pets. The room is not worth $300 a night.

This place was awesome probably had the best customer service I've ever seen. I worked to early for the free breakfast so they were nice enough to open it early for me they even went Aw far as to give me some yogurts in case I wouldn't make it. The people that run it were seriously the nicest people I have ever met Go here you won't be disappointed!!

Tha place is incredible. The owner accommodated us on a 5hr advance booking. Since my non-smoking room was a horrid wrench of cigarettes, he said "please come to the front right away" and was immediately transferred to a lovely and pristine handicap-accessible room that's on par with code. He complained of other people smoking at their doors leaving a residual smells in rooms. Also he was surprised that the amount of instances that had come to gilroy in the past year. The shower was *instantly warm*, had a thick door, staggered safety rails, three wall shower with new bath chair, a sweet full length mirror, and everything as listed on the website: -Wireless wasn't working because telephone lines were still being fixed -Laundry room wasn't open because some thug took a sledgehammer to steal the coins Felt bad for a place with great customer service dealing with the South Bay ghetto. Would love to come back and keep supporting them next time I'm here. Recommend this place since it's in a great place next to the freeway.

I stayed here for an extended stay while looking for an apartment. It was fine at first except that they have no bathtubs which I think is strange. Then they called me while I was at work to say I was supposed to check out when I had made and paid for a week's reservation! I was on the phone with them and Priceline for more than an hour to fix the problem. The hotel said at first I had to pay more money to stay after I had already paid for a week! They did not believe me! Then when I went to check out they suddenly said I didn't pay their pet rent for three weeks and charged me $200 dollars extra. They knew I had a dog the whole time since I brought him with me to check in and out and I asked for a pet friendly room! The man threatened me saying that I couldn't stay there again if I didn't pay the fee! Extortion?! He is also a therapy dog which they didn't believe. I also mentioned the incident where I had to be on the phone for an hour but he didn't care!!

Smelly room, weird smelling sheets, not "fresh" at all. Maybe the detergent? The whole room seemed humid and filled with cleaning fumes. Not so great.

Great place, nice for the price. Helpful friendly staff, not a bad continental breakfast (with cereals, pastries, muffins, yogurt, 2 types of bread for toast, hard boiled eggs, 3 types of juice, coffee, waffle maker, scrambled probably powder eggs, sausage, and bacon). Fairly quiet area albeit next to the freeway. Clean lobby and room. Surprised to find a microwave, and mini-fridge with freezer. Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom with a nice big shower. We stayed in room 203. WILL BE BACK!

Great little hotel for the price. 2 restaurants next door and across the street. Quiet and pool.

The Manager charged a fee for smoking in the room. There was no smoking in the room. The manger will not return calls,the corporate office did not care.

Incredibly wonderful staff. Great customer service. A very good breakfast and incredibly comfy beds and pillows. Chevy's is very close so you can walk to dinner and lunch. I will stay here again.

Surprisingly good stay that exceeded expectations. Clean nice room. Includes small refrigerator (but the refrigerator is loud). Pool is open 9 - 9. A/C is loud but great. Breakfast room (Room 111) has a wafflemaker (which I LOVE) but no chocolate milk. I stayed in Room 219 on July 21-22. WiFi was good. There is a shaded parking spot in front of the registration building/lobby: Park there. The lobby has a popcorn machine and coffee dispenser. It needs hot chocolate!

Apparently the maids like to walk away with items you leave in this hotel! Never again... Stay at the Best Western right next door, much better, cleaner, and more updated.

Stayed 1 night for a "mothers day getaway" with my mom and my kids in connecting rooms. Love the rooms we got, 2nd floor and windows opened opposite the walkway so we got the awesome Gilroy wind without any smoke smell possibly blowing in from the walkway. We traveled with our perfectly behaved dog, and had no problem with the pet friendliness of the place, I found the dog area to be large and well maintained with nice soft grass. There's a pool, hot tub, vending machine(s) and ice machine. The rooms are nice, I found them to be clean and well maintained, the TV got more channels than I was expecting and that was a total bonus! The fridge was better than I expected but a little noisy. Shower and tub were clean, I as impressed with the instant (and no running out!) hot water. The bedding is really light ( which is typical of hotels these days ) BUT there is a nice climate control in the room, an upgrade from the typical heating / ac unit that just says on off hi lo, our rooms actually had a thermostat so we could set our desired temp. There is a continental breakfast I can't say much about as I didn't partake but my kids found muffins / danishes and hard boiled eggs that appealed to them. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. -The pillows are a little bizarre... they are very soft and fluffy but TINY like travel pillows... but you get like five per bed, that was a little odd but I slept great so despite my misgivings it worked out fine. -There is no elevator. During the initial take loading and unloading of luggage that really sucks, but it won't keep me from staying again... I just know to pack lighter next time and leave the ice chest in the car LOL. Every year for Mothers day we head down to the Monterey-surrounding areas for the weekend, Last year we actually stayed in that area two times in two different hotels. This is the first hotel I've wanted to return to, so from now on we will be staying at this hotel during our little beach trips. The location is awesome for travelers, walking distance to Chevy's and black bear diner, near a Walmart, the Gilroy outlets, and a dozen restaurants, and close to the freeway, just a short drive away from the beach-y towns, the produce stands and all the other things I love about that area.

Had to stay in area unexpectedly, looked on trip advisor for hotel availability. Very disappointed in both Quality Inn and Trip Advisor. Made reservation on line, 20 minutes later I arrive at hotel. Only smoking rooms available. They let me "smell" the two rooms left-so, so bad! I asked for a refund to go elsewhere. Quality front desk said they could not, and for me to call trip advisor-they said the could not since cancellation time period had passed-i only made reservations minutes before, before traveling to Gilroy. So, so disappointed in both management here and Trip Advisor-I prefer Yelp by leaps and bounds, but few reviews for me in the Hollister/Gilroy area on Yelp. Room smelled so bad I did not keep my clothes in room overnight, toilet stopped working, complementary breakfast lousy and std pre-prepared foods. I love the Quality Suites in San Luis Obispo. I thought I could count on this chain at a level of quality. I won't be fooled so easily next time. Lousy stay-never will I stay here again

Quality inn but which type of quality? This breakfast was absolutely terrible the oj was watery the back had no taste the eggs tasted like crap and the whole place smelled like garlic. They have a hot tub wait imm sorry cold tub i guess if you want a dirty room come here but this place is terrible.

I stayed here for a business trip during a weekday in July. This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at considering the cheap price ($110). The room was very clean and nicely laid out. I actually used the desk provided in the room. Includes a fridge and microwave (did not use). The staff is super friendly- especially the lady who manages the breakfast room. I doubt I'll ever be in Gilroy again but if you're passing through this place is legit.
