This 2-star hotel does a great job keeping the property and rooms clean. There are places to grill your own dinner. The pool is comfortable and clean. The free breakfast is a real breakfast that you choose from a menu in the restaurant on the property.

It was very nice place, affordable. Noise suppression is not the best, but at night no one made noise, only in the morning the neighbors talked, and I woke up. The breakfast was amazing, the personal was nice and kind. The pool is good, needs some cleaning. The woman who cleaned the non-smoking room was SMOKING while cleaning. That is the only thing that concerns, but I had a wonderful time there.

We booked a room for a night while traveling from Central Utah to Tehachapi CA. We didn't realize the had an in house restaurant. Food was great with a lot of variety. Also included in the price was a full breakfast voucher. Service was very friendly and professional. Room was clean. Price was very fair especially when you factor in a free breakfast for 2. Would highly recommend for anyone traveling through here. The last time we had passed through here was 55 years ago when I changed duty station at Praesidio Monterey and was headed cross country to Massachusetts.

All was well, until breakfast. It was free, however we had a very limited menu and we weren't given the option to upgrade and pay the difference. No refills on a very small glass of juice either. At first I thought they didn't offer omelettes or steak. Until I saw one being brought to an outsider not staying in the hotel. Not too fun.

As everyone knows, going on a vacation is fun! And one thing you need on a vacation is a hotel—in this case, a motel. But, this one in particular, I just like it. The first notable mention is that it has very wheelchair accessible ramps. I also like the fountain in the entrance. The interior comes with a bunch of cool features, my personal favorite being the mini fridge, I love mini fridges! Another is the shower has hot water. It also has a private notepad provided to each guest! It also has the option of a pack and play for babies! Really good hotel, you should go here!

Google
For a 2 star hotel, the team here does a wonderful job. Clean and practical rooms. Friendly and competent service. Amazing value. The downstairs Mexican restaurant was incredible for dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend for someone looking to rest for the night or looking for a more practical, low cost stay.

Google
Nice stay at a friendly hotel. Brittany and Veronica (front desk staff, different shifts) were both helpful and kind, going out of their way to answer questions and make us feel at home. Housekeeping deserves a shoutout as well! Would book here again if ever in the Barstow area, and would recommend it to friends.

Google
Great motel! The ladies at the front desk were wonderful when we arrived. The rooms were nice clean all the windows were spotless outside nice outside area. The breakfast in the morning was great. The lady serving us was friendly quick and the breakfast was great.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here on the way to Las Vegas. I found via Yelp. I found the entrance a little awkward since it was to the side. Staff was friendly. We appreciated that we could park near our room's door. Some of the other rooms face a nice grassy courtyard where the pool is, which looks nicer, but I preferred being near our car. We enjoyed eating dinner at the attached Los Domingos Mexican restaurant. It was very busy that night with birthday parties and the food was good, so it was probably locals. The next morning it was much quieter and we enjoyed our included made to order breakfast from a menu for hotel guests. I was concerned when we left to return to our room, a homeless and mentally ill looking man was walking all around the courtyard. The pool was closed for the season, but it looked nice. I may have used it if was available. The room was clean. The bathroom is pretty tiny, but the room was pleasant and it was good for a one evening stay.

Yelp
A very reasonably-priced alternative to the big chain hotels in Barstow. Some of those are so close to major freeways that you hear the constant drone of big rigs and motorheads gunning it all night long. This motel is older and a little bit Rt 66 funky but in good condition, clean and quiet. I sleep very well there. Parking is abundant and accommodates large vehicles. And the attached Los Domingos Mexican restaurant is great! The food and drinks are tasty and reasonably priced. You also get a discount there for being a motel guest. Highly recommended.

Yelp
We stayed at this Quality Inn on the way to Vegas. It seemed ok when we got in our room however there was actual feces on the base of the toilet in multiple spots that I had to clean myself which ruined my view of the cleanliness of the room. I couldn't bring myself to take pictures. Location is good and right off the freeway however not sure if it was worth stopping.

Yelp
*PLENTY OF RV AND LARGE VEHICLE PARKING/AWESOME SHOWER WATER PRESSURE* WARNING ADVISORY FOR LARGE VEHICLES: Do not try to go under the sign at the front of the hotel, the receptionist said many vehicles have DAMAGED trying to get through. *There's plenty of parking in the back* Helpful customer service Comfortable bed Very clean Coffee maker (bring water) Mini fridge Microwave Restful night, Sweet dreams!

Ben V.

Yelp
On our way to the Coast of California from Colorado, we stayed overnight at the Quality Inn in Barstow. It was mediocre. The motel is populated mostly by working men and truckers, so our room was sandwiched between groups of men. We requested another room that had more privacy, and the receptionist found us one. Early the next morning, the sounds of trucks and workers filled the air. The room itself was mediocre and needs updating. The motel has obviously been in use since the 1950s and shows its age. I have given this Quality Inn a mediocre rating.

Miss T.

Yelp
Excellent staff and breakfast, close to height on and off ramps. Clean safe, used the Choice phone app and your AAA membership number for the best rates.

You F.

Yelp
Rooms look like they haven't been properly cleaned in weeks. Has an urine smell in the room I stayed in. Bathroom floor had a sticky film on the surface. First and last time I'd stay at this hotel. They also have a restaurant within the hotel, with poor cleanliness, and poor attitude. The food was cold. And I wasn't even halfway through my meal and essentially was trying to push me out the door. Was not worth the rate that they charged, even for a night.

Jeffrey H.

Yelp
I pulled into this QI and noone was at the front desk, I yelled for service multiple times but noone ever came to the desk. I simply left. Very unprofessional.

Michelle R.

Yelp
Very friendly staff, not the most up to date room but the bed and thick, warm comforter was amazing! They provide a voucher to get breakfast in the hotel restaurant so you can order whatever you want to eat! Would definitely stay here in the future!

Estid G.

Yelp
Perfect place! We stopped by to eat at the restaurant and ended up booking a room. The customer service hotel/restaurant very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend it. The rooms are clean, the pool is amazing, the food is great...

J D.

Yelp
Great clean hotel. BBQ/park area, Lounge and restaurant was superb. Breakfast at the restaurant was included with the hotel stay. Great value for the cost

Josh D.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE! I highly recommend you do NOT stay here. The room was filthy! On the chair next to the bed you can see dark spots where everyone puts their elbows and hands while sitting down! Multiple stains on the floor and chair, the bed was very uncomfortable. The room is very outdated and smelled like mildew! I contacted the front desk and spoke with front desk manager Veronica Renteria and she told me they will contact me with the results of the "investigation" in a few days. Fast forward 20 days and no phone call no nothing. I emailed corporate. I could only guess how dirty the restaurant kitchen is. Hopefully it's not as bad as the rooms. Look at the photo you can see black stains on the arms and a big silhouette stain near the head and shoulder area of the chair. Very unsanitary and disgusting. This place isn't worth the $80 a night. I wouldn't even pay $20 a night for this. You have been warned.

Loresa B.

Yelp
This is one of the nicer places to stay in Barstow. The room we had was newly remodeled and wood floors. No musty smell. It is convenient to down town and restaurants. Prices are fair and our room was clean each day as we spent 3 nights there. The bed was great and plenty of pillows. We had no complaints.

Sam S.

Yelp
Great value for the price, especially because it comes with a pool, made to order breakfast. Great staff, very helpful, and great selection of TV channels if that's your jam. I'm marking it as a place to stay in Barstow every time I come through.

Linda L.

Yelp
We stay here often due to dogs and the restaurant Is good. The rooms are fair. This stay was terrible. We won't return. We were placed in a chain of rooms rented out to a large, noisy, rude, foul-mouthed group. Not only were they loud and foul-mouthed till 9pm, one or more drunk guys woke us up several times overnight shouting. They were all out loud and milling around in the morning as well. We are done here.

Corrine G.

Yelp
Giving 5 star. No complaints. For the price, the quality of free breakfast at the Los Domingos, convenient location to our travel desires, safe location, quiet, friendly staff, easy check in and out with staff always available, clean room with all necessities like coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, and room was a nice location with view of courtyard and pool. Pool still closed in March. Great experience.

Stephanie F.

Yelp
We stayed one night, just passing through on our way home from vacation. The room is very dated but they are currently under renovations. Breakfast was also closed because of reno but they offered us gift cards to Jack in the Box, $8 a person which was more than enough for breakfast. The bed was extremely soft, which I do prefer for my back. The court yard area is honestly so adorable and worth the visit. The staff was extremely friendly, the house keeper saw us leaving and told us to take our time and be safe, she was so sweet. My only complaint is the toilet made a high pitched squeal when flushed until the tank filled, and a moth flew out of the AC unit when we turned it on. No big deal for us. We will definitely be back, excited to see everything after renovations!

T. E.

Yelp
This hotel was much better than I expected given the low price. The room was very clean with a good bed, fridge, decent internet, and a substantial free breakfast. I really liked the central plaza area with grass and trees, which is like a park and large enough to hang out in. An oasis in an otherwise unappealing town. Great place to stop on a road trip. The people who work there were uniformly friendly and helpful.

Barry W.

Yelp
Unexpected surprise! I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Staff was friendly, rooms were very clean and they offered a great breakfast, all at a good rate.

Summer S.

Yelp
Very bad experience here! No sleep worst beds ever! My husband, infant and I got a room with two queen beds. The beds are rock hard and creek with anything. Super loud and uncomfortable! The pillows are the short ones they are not normal pillow size either. So all night I haven't slept! This isn't their fault but there is an abundance of cats meowing all night and every loud truck that drives by you can hear as well. Worst night of my life in a hotel... no sleep. Defeats the purpose of a hotel I could have slept better in my car but I have a 2 month old baby with me. Do not recommend this place solely off the beds.

Cathy S.

Yelp
We were driving by and searched quickly for a hotel close by. I called the front desk to get more details and Jenna who was working was very helpful and informative. We ended up enjoying a very good night sleep to help us continue driving the next day. The breakfast that was included at the attached restaurant was perfect and hit the spot. Everything was a 5 Star - customer service, price, comfortable bed and good food!

Katelyn L.

Yelp
The beds were not as comfy as what we've had, the pillows were small, no light switch in the part of the bathroom with the shower and toilet (it's on the outside which gives my bro and sis the chance to shut the light off when someone is using it to mess with you) and no fan either, the beds were smaller than what we asked (asked for queens, got doubles). We had issues with the wifi (brother's error - nothing on the hotel) and the hotel helped us fixed the issue so that was really nice of them. Even checked to see later if everything was working fine. They enforce quiet hours, but we were woken up this morning by the sound of an idling diesel truck...which it says not to do on the sign. I don't really like the way the voucher system works with the food, but they took maybe 10 mins this time around and the food was decent. The service in the restaurant was also really good. Idk if it would bother anyone, but I may as well mention that they do have cats running outside around the hotel/restaurant that they feed. Saw 4 this morning. Hope they're being accurately cared for since they want them around. I'd still choose this place over hearing trains at the Best Western...but I wouldn't be overly excited about it hah.

Emmanuelle C.

Yelp
Dirty and not heated pool in MAY with 90 degrees ! Staff shouting in front of our bedroom.... We are really disappointed. We tried the Ramada on the other side of the street last year and it was MUCH better. I only put 2 stars thanks to the VERY GOOD MATTRESS and PILLOWS.

Hiroshi K.

Yelp
A nice place. Nothing special or unique about it. The wireless internet works, but it is a little slow (1MB per second). Clean room and everything seem to work. Quiet room and AC/ Heat works fine.

Tess W.

Yelp
Do NOT stay here. The room we stayed at was out dated and DIRTY!!! The floors were not vacuumed well, stains on the carpet, and dead bugs in the room. We got in too late and had three cranky kids with us so we decided to stay and boy do we regret that decision. Our 1 year old daughter got a tiny TICK on her eyelid the next morning we woke up. And we know it came from the room.

Gil H.

Yelp
I have stayed here twice. They said they had high speed internet. Unfortunately this has the slowest internet of most any hotel I have stayed in. I was in two different rooms, hoping to get better internet. Upload and download speed were both 3 mbps. That is not much better than old dial up. The first time we stayed here we were cold all night because the heater barely put out any heat. I thought it was the heater for that room. We are in another room this time and it is about the same. I personally won't stay here again.

Jenn C.

Yelp
Clean rooms, no bedbugs, adequate amenities (microwave, refrigerator, tv with cable). The bathroom was nothing to write home about and the beds had seen better days and the furniture was pretty shabby. It was nice to have an actual closet! The on-site restaurant was kind of "blah" - not an experience I want to repeat. It's a bit on the high side for what you get - and where you are - but it's not a bad place to land late at night. As a response to another reviewer who complained of "outdoor corridors" - welcome to California! Most schools and motels are made like this, many apartment buildings as well. It gets hot in Barstow, I am glad they don't have enclosed corridors - it is more energy efficient to heat/cool individual rooms and not to have to do so with a corridor. DUH!

Alex F.

Yelp
Holy moly, this hotel rocks. We came from the Bellagio paying $1k night and this is hands down the better hotel. Great bar that will serve you all night and the message chairs in the room is a nice touch. Would stay here again without thinking twice.

Kimberli H.

Yelp
Terrible rooms. Shower instantly backed up as soon as you turned on the water, coffee costs $2 and is not free and breakfast was 1 item so you could have juice or coffee but not both. Cheap Ass Motel. Do not recommend this place and I will never stay here again.

Carol B.

Yelp
Lovely...clean and convenient. Beautiful grounds and pool with grills set up. Great Mexican restaurant on site. The free breakfast was good. Able to order off the menu. No fighting the crowds for the buffet style breakfast (which I hate). Plan to stay here again on my way back to Santa Fe. Room rate was reasonable as well. I highly recommend this spot.

John W.

Yelp
This is an honest review. In my 75 years of life I have never stayed in a more horrific place. This was the filthiest, most pathetic and poorly managed inn ever. The parking lot, the lobby, the check-in, the room, the bed, the everything was just way below 1 star. I would sleep in the gutter before I would stay at this facility again; I swear to god. Even the restaurant was a complete joke. The way they have it set up it is dang near impossible to get their so called 'complementary' breakfast. First it's supposed to open at 6 AM. It doesn't. Then if you order "anything" that is not on the complementary menu, expect to pay way extra. For Instance, I had a large OJ instead of a regular OJ. They hit me for $3.75 for an extra ounce. Plus, the breakfast waitperson had a serious bad attitude. If I ever even think of staying there again, kill me. I'm being nice about all of this because Yelp won't let me say what I really want to say.

Rex T.

Yelp
This is an excellent choice for those looking for reasonably priced accommodations in Mammoth. The staff are both friendly and helpful. A quality breakfast is served each morning. You will like the location.

Kathy S.

Yelp
This evening one of my employees was rudely turned away and publically embarrassed by the desk clerk, whose name I believe was Alicia. When I called to try and sort out the situation as the company President, she was also very short tempered with me, ending the call by hanging up on me and not resolving the situation for over 30 minutes keeping my employee waiting late at night when he has to be on a job site in less than 6 hours. And keeping me from also being able to go to bed while making sure my employee is safe and not the subject of further harassment. We have stayed at this hotel often on business, and I am appalled at this lack of kindness and customer service - you should be ashamed.

John R.

Yelp
Our room was horrible. We found a cricket in the bed. The curtains were torn and could not completely close, and the bathroom sink barely drained. However the breakfast was decent.

C B.

Yelp
Older hotel is nice, in good condition, with lots of room inside and outside. Free breakfast in the restaurant, but selections are very limited. The bar is popular, and visitors partying near the pool were loud past midnight most nights. If attending a meeting, the conference center does not have a good sound system, or a projection screen that's high enough to see over people. Couldn't see or hear anything.

Michelle D.

Yelp
We were road tripping from Cave Creek, AZ back to the Bay Area and needed a place to sleep for the night. This hotel turned out to be a little gem. The service was great. The room was good enough. But, what really set this place apart was the awesome restaurant/bar on the property. We had the best dinner and drinks at Los Domingos. That was perfect after a long day of driving. Don't get me wrong. There is not much going on in Barstow and the surrounding area seemed a little sketchy, but if you are looking for a good meal and a place to rest your head - this hotel is a good choice. A free breakfast was also included and it was not your typical cheap hotel buffet. It was a made to order warm breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel and will definitely stop here again the next time we make this trip.

Bill B.

Yelp
I stayed here in September. I had a problem with my Choice account points, so the hotel manager went to bat for me and got it corrected. I appreciated her efforts on my behalf.

Dan N.

Yelp
I had a super good experience here. We were traveling last night from Las Vegas (no rooms there or in Primm due to Memorial Day weekend) and man, we were tired. We even asked if there was a room available in Bun Boy (located in Baker), which smelled terrible. So we ended up at this Quality Inn and it couldn't have been cleaner or more comfortable. The lady behind the counter gave us a 30% off discount for coming in so late (1 am) and voucher for free breakfasts that we did not wake up to eat. When we got there we could hear people in the bar having fun. My friend went in the pool this morning and had a blast. We fell asleep right away on the comfy beds anddd even the showers were nice. I'd go back here anytime!

Travis B.

Yelp
Barstow isn't exactly the most happening place in California, but if you are staying there this place provides clean, quiet rooms at a very reasonable rate compared to a few other places in town. Nothing to complain about (*) but nothing to rave about either. I'll stay there again if I'm passing through, but maybe not for several nights... * The free breakfast is a 1 star experience. The hotel is fine, and the restaurant might be ok in other ways, but the breakfast is nearly impossible to stomach. The coffee in particular is worth trying, because one gets few chances to taste candidates for the worst coffee in human history, and when presented with that chance...take a hearty sip and savor the experience. Don't worry, there is a chain coffee store down the road to cleanse your palate. Of course, it was free...so I can't complain too much.

Christina L.

Yelp
Had a great experience here! Stayed in a clean pet friendly room, had the breakfast with the voucher which was great! The counter people were helpful and attentive. We were loud and nobody complained at all. My only gripe would be that when I booked through expedia, I paid for the two queen bed room and we got one with two full beds instead because apparently the queens aren't pet friendly - they weren't able to change it in their computer system and refund the extra $10 for my dog, so I have to call expedia to complain!

Ashley W.

Yelp
Pet friendly!!!! The only disappointing thing is the rooms that are pet friendly are only full bed size. Makes it hard /not as comfortable for my family of 4 and 2 dogs. Someone is always stealing blankets and or pillows during sleep on full size bed lol. Room though is very nice and clean with all our little essentials needed. Plenty of parking for very large vehicles. Huge center court yard for this hotel with a huge grassy area. They have a pool it's (bit chilly for my taste to check it out) so far this is one of the best hotels for my little vacation trip so far. Looking forward to coming back here again

Matt W.

Yelp
This was OK, but the location is basically some older motel that's been plastered over with the Quality Inn logo. The room had been redone recently so it was in decent condition, although as an outdoors-facing motel-style room it was noisy and had problems with the light seeping through the curtains. It also has old-style CRT TVs and I had difficulty with the bathtub drain. I wouldn't call it run-down because, as noted, the rooms have been spruced up on the inside, but it's not exactly new either. The "free breakfast" is a coupon you have to get at the front desk and then give in the old-school style restaurant-lounge, which gives one a limited and non-ala-carte selection (and obliges one to be on the server's schedule, which is not good if you want to get out and away). So insofar as it's a "free" breakfast it costs you time and a tip, and you don't get the all-you-care-to-eat or pack-for-the-road approach most modern hotels provide. I'd cut them some slack but the room wasn't that cheap even with a Triple-A discount in the off-season with obviously low occupancy. I suspect there are better options nearby.

Trevor T.

Yelp
A budget-friendly hotel at the city midway between LA and LV. The rooms are basic but clean. Cable TV and free wi-fi internet. A limited breakfast selection is included in the room rate. The selection isn't really that bad - I had two eggs, hashbrowns, sausage and toast with a glass of milk. That probably would have cost $8 or $9 at another hotel. If you have an outside facing room, you can park right at the door which helps if you have a lot of luggage to drag in. The parking lot is big enough if you're towing a trailer.

Ryan D.

Yelp
Good hotel for the price. Stayed here for one night to visit a gf. Ordered a room with two beds. Neatly furnished on the second floor. Parking was accessible and close to the room to make it very easy to bring in luggage. Overall looks of the hotel is a bit outdated. Seems as though you're stuck in the late 70s and 80s with the earthy color painted wallpaper and popcorn ceilings. Had a minor problem with too much light coming in the room even with drapes and curtain fully closed. They also has free wifi and the speeds seem to be decent I was able to peruse the social networks with out a problem. Other than that room was clean. Bathroom felt cramped with a space for tub and toilet. Since the hotel was not on the strip and more in town it was easier for my gf to come visit me since it was close to where she lived. Inside the hotel, there was a bar and Mexican restaurant called Los Domingos. My gf and I hung out at the restaurant the night I came in. Since its in town locals and travelers frequent it all the time so it had a home feel to it. Food was good as they had a big menu of traditional and authentic Mexican food. They had a good selection Craft beer and regular drafts. I chose to forego the Los Domingos complimentary hotel breakfast and opted to pay for their Sunday mexican brunch buffet. It was under 10 bucks and was delicious. In the center of the hotel there was a gazebo and a small size pool. Looked decent and there was some families enjoying a day out in the sun the day I checked out. Service to check in and out was quick. Overall I have no other complaints. I would definitely use this hotel again.

Cristina K.

Yelp
Wonderful service and hot, complementary, cooked-to-order breakfast! Seriously, the pancakes were some of the best I've ever had! I was traveling with my cat, and when I checked out they gave him two little toys to take on with him. They said they "treat furry guests like human guests." Considering how traumatic moving cross country with a cat can be, it was so nice for them to treat my little road trip buddy like any other guest. The room was great. It's a hotel, so unless you're shelling out a grand a night, you're not going to be sleeping on angel feathers. The bed was comfy and the pillows were fluffy enough for me.

Janet R.

Yelp
Older model but remodeling, room was clean. Good location close to Hwy 15. It is also close to restaurants and fast food. Mexican restaurant on site is good and serves the free breakfast.

R C.

Yelp
After 17 hours of driving I came here, extremely clean, which is a super plus for me! Restaurant that's here was ok, but I didn't come here for the food I came here to sleep and finish my trip in the morning, love the room, very clean and the courtyard is very nice, And a home feeling, definitely recommend!!

Charley C.

Yelp
After a long drive down the I 15 from St George it was nice to find a reasonably priced and available hotel. The front lobby is the entrance to a reasonably good Mexican restaurant (I was recommended to the restaurant on another trip, had tried it was it was A-OK) But this is about the hotel. The rooms stretch out behind the restaurant and mind was at the end, closest to the back parking lot. Nice. It was easy to get to, clean, quiet, and had a nice flat screen. I did not have the micro or fridge. The cleanliness was very good. The facility is a bit worn, however maintenance seems to be in order. The shower head was built for some one a lot shorter than I am. Overall, an OK overnight stay.

Mike L.

Yelp
This is one of the BEST hotels in Barstow,ca to stay in. The owners are super kool they show up to the property daily to check on the daily operation and customer satisfaction. Front desk workers are so polite and helpful. The manager is veronica ask for her if you have any problems she takes care of you right away. The hotel is definitely a home away from home.
