"Put on your rose-tinted spectacles and bask in the warm, cosy interior of Quatre Vins, without forgetting the walled terrace, which is bliss come summertime. The menu features a line-up of international dishes to be shared in a friendly, buzzy vibe. How about steamed pork belly with crunchy hispi (pointed) cabbage in a rich BBQ sauce and a bread roll on the side, or steamed haddock on a bed of leeks and a light, herb-flavoured sauce? In addition to a fine range of biodynamic and natural wines, Maxinne and Olivier bend over backwards to ensure guests feel at home in their fun-loving establishment." - Michelin Inspector

We came here with very high expectations due to the Michelin recommendation, we had a very lovely text prior to dining to confirm our table and they were super accommodating for us when we had to change days due to train issues into Bruges. Off to a good start… The atmosphere was lovely, the space is nice, and the staff were friendly. We felt very excited by the sharing options and went for the 7 dish experience! We had loved the wine and our first two dishes which were langoustine tartare and bresaola carpatchio, the tuna tataki was quite nice too. After this, the experience seemed to take a turn for the worst. The dishes started to take a very long time to come out which was clearly due to understaffing, which wouldn’t have bothered me if the rest of the food was to the standard I was expecting. The dim sum was so bland, undercooked and I have had better frozen ones from the Asian supermarket, the slaw on top was fine but very average. We hoped this was just one dud dish, but sadly this wasn’t the case. The rest of the dishes were also not up to par. The octopus was quite chewy (other than the tail which was good). The pulled pork croquettes brought it back a bit but by this point it was hard to enjoy the rest of my meal as we had to wait so long between each one and it was a gamble if it was going to be good or not… we finished with the Iberico ravoli, the pasta itself was well executed but the sauce and filling was once again average and frozen peas for presentation felt below the mark for the expectations of the experience. With the high price tag you expect a certain level of quality and I just don’t think we had that today. I do think this restaurant has promise and they must have got the Michelin guide recommendation for this working at some point… Maybe it was an off time for them? I think some time needs to be spent refining their concept and the dishes to bring them up to what is expected. It seems from other reviews I am not the only one who has experienced this recently so it shows that there’s some holes in their overall experience.

Amazing food. We did the 5 bites option and it was perfect for us to share. This was our most favorite meal while visiting Brugge. We had the Tuna Tataki, Dim Sum, Pulled Pork Croquettes, Pasta Al Ragu, and a specialty item not on the menu as our 5th dish which was a roasted watermelon dish (this was our least favorite out of all 5). Overall the quality, service, and speed at which the food came out was excellent.

Amazing experience! It was disappointing to see all the recent 3 stars reviews when this place is deserving of a 5 star and michelin star. My husband and I had a lovely dinner and really enjoyed our time. The service was excellent. We had the 6 different dishes course and felt full afterwards. A lovely charming restaurant in the centre of Bruges.

We were very impressed. Warm and welcoming, we thought the food was excellent. We had a meal at a Michelin 1 star restaurant in Paris last week and thought this meal was better. We went for a late lunch and had their 4 dishes. We are all pescatarian and they were easily able to accommodate us. Having had a few meals in Brugges, this was somewhat more expensive but not significantly and less than 1/2 the price of our 1 star meal in Paris. They manage to make it work with a staff of three. The kitchen is open so we were able to watch them prepare the food and talk to them while they were doing so. Of the four dishes we had, only one was merely 'good' (in our estimation). Everything else we thought was exceptional.

What an amazing food! Absolutely delicious, each dish we tried was amazing. Only advice I could give is to clean the clams better as some of them had still sand inside. As for the rest, atmosphere was friendly.

Good service; cozy atmosphere. Didn't love the food, but others did. Some of the dishes I just didn't like (Raw scallops with Sausage) and some were good, but not anything special that I'd expect from a bib gourmond (duck dumplings). most bib gourmonds I've been to are really exceptional, and charge around £20-30 per person. This was £55 per person for food only (before drinks, dessert), and less exceptional.

During my last business trip to Brugge, I was inspired by the Michelin website looking for appealing culinary experiences. The Quatre Vins is a restaurant that you cannot miss. I took a seat at the bar and had the pleasure to enjoy a 6 course menu + dessert. You can choose the number of courses and then pick from the selection, kind of like a modern tapas concept. All the dishes I tasted were flavorful, comforting and just delicious. I fell in love with the chorizo croquettes and the miso sauce of the asparagus. For the money you spent, you will get a lot! Thanks for the dinner, fellows. I am for sure coming back :)

We have been to this place now for a few years in a row, sometimes even several times a year and the food has always been top quality. Service is super friendly and the restaurant is nice and cosy with constant improvements being made. The chef has a very extended knowledge about wine and the winelist bares some real treasures, prices are more than fair for the quality and location of the restaurant. We will keep coming back
