The 36 Best Restaurants in Lisbon, Portugal | Eater

"At Quattro Teste, bartender couple Alf del Portillo and Marta Premoli want you to have fun, creating their conceptual cocktails using high-tech gadgets and techniques. Channeling their Basque and Italian roots, respectively, they prepare a refined take on the kalimotxo (the traditional Basque combination of wine and cola) with lacto-fermented raspberry, a pesto margarita with Japanese melon liqueur and basil, and aperitivos using the best Italian ingredients. It’s one of the most creative bars in the city." - Rafael Tonon

Atmosphere: 8.5/10 Located in Lisbon’s lively Mouraria district, Quattro Teste is casual and warm in vibe. Music volume is on point for conversations. The backbar adds character, with good seating at the counter and tables for small groups, plus some outdoor spots that work well for people-watching. Drinks: 8.5/10 Recommendation: Banana Joe, Basque Burnt Cheesecake Menu is simple but cleverly structured with color indicators for drink strength. The selection is solid, mixing Basque-Italian influences with creative twists. Flavors are very good. Coasters are nice, glassware is standard, and garnishes are generally minimal. Presentation varies—selected drinks get unique touches, others stay straightforward. Service: 9/10 Water arrives right away, and complimentary snacks are offered until later in the evening. The team is friendly, professional, and attentive throughout. No reservation needed here—walk-ins are welcome. Prices are below average for Lisbon, making it a strong value for the quality delivered.

What a wonderful experience. I had been following this bar on social media for ages, and never seemed to find the right time to visit whenever I was in Lisbon before. Finally I made it here! Wow, I'm so happy I did. Not only were the drinks fantastic, but it was so welcoming and felt like a truly cozy neighbourhood bar. You'd never guess that it was mostly tourists. Everyone was so warm and friendly, and the barman treated every customer like an old friend. Absolutely no pretentiousness which is amazing considering the high-class and rare quality of the cocktails. I sat at the bar and had a lovely time just absorbing the atmosphere and exceptional cocktail made with vintage spirits. (Not everyone would spend as much as I am willing on a single drink but they were actually reasonable prices for rare vintage spirits.) And the Basque cheesecake cocktail is even better than I expected. I generally don't like dessert cocktails but, this one is the exception to the rule!

We randomly came here to end the night, and the place didn't dissapoint! We tried the cheesecake cocktail. AMAZING. I would have it for breakfast every day I got a wine cocktail with mint that was very fresh and flavory, but I forgot the name. I just asked Alfonso and he told me Pepino y Txacolin: cucumber soda, elder flower and wine. Looks like a mojito but it's actually much better. Please try it The place is small but very cozy, with dim lighting. There are some courtains that make it quite private, you can't see anything from the outside I wouldn't come here with a big group, but def recommend for dates or small groups (4 people) I love the colors. Red and green, with some woody textures and tones to make it more earthy. For some reason it does remind me of Italy and the Basque country, the origins of this bar

Incredible cocktails and amazing people! This bar is a hidden gem — the Basque burnt cheesecake cocktail is absolutely delicious, unlike anything I’ve ever tried. The owners are so friendly and knowledgeable, clearly passionate about what they do. Perfect spot for great drinks and even better vibes!

One of the best cocktail bars in Lisbon, and my personal favorite. The cocktails, usually twists on Italian and Basque classics, are simply amazing, with the diversity of vermouths being something unmatched in Portugal. The snacks follow the same vibe -- the gildas are a must-have. The owners are also very friendly and attentive.

My friends and I loved this bar! The ambience and the creativity within the cocktails are on another level. The service was excellent as well. We are definitely visiting again when we come back to Porto.

If you're in Lisbon, do not miss the cheesecake cocktail here—just cheesecake and vodka, but absolutely amazing. Possibly the best dessert cocktail I've had (and I’ve had quite a few 😄)—even as someone who’s not a big cheesecake fan! Also tried the apple cider cocktail, which was good, but once I tasted my friend’s cheesecake one, I had to get my own. It’s a small bar, so weekends get busy—best to reserve in advance (correction - walk in only) Service was great considering the owner was running the place solo.
