Such a cute and cozy little spot with amazing food and service! The food tasted fresh, the parcha juice is literally the best I have tasted in Rochester.. perfectly sweetened. Oh and the tres leches cake, literally chefs kiss! The staff were all very welcoming! I would most definitely be back and reccomend it to anyone.

We had a wonderful experience! The service from the staff was welcoming, the atmosphere was authentic and the food was delicious! We had the mofongo with pernil and another one with chicken, as well as alcapurrias. Will come back again for sure!

I finally found an amazing, authentic Puerto Rican restaurant in the city of Rochester! This was my first visit at Que Chévere and decided to get the Mofongo Bowl with pernil, and the first mouth full of food immediately let me know I’m coming back again. I also got an alcapurria and it was big for your moneys worth! It was hard not to finish the whole plate, but I so graciously saved the other half of this well-portioned meal for my boyfriend, who said we have to come back for more very soon! Thank you for your service, the owner is very nice and I can tell she cooks and serves con amor y orgullo. I can’t wait to come back again and continue to see this Latina-run business thrive!

I will base my review only in the food I order. I orden a vegetarian dish of rice, beans and sweet plantains. Plantain are frozen not fresh and bean are not tasty at all it does not represent puertorican beans. Also order a plain, mofongo that was good not too much garlic. It was good. I order a tripleta, my oh my it was horrible. It had ham as it was ready to cook with beans it has no business in that tripleta at all, the absence of meat and the presence of lettuce was obvious and to top it was toasted. Tripletas are not toasted is not a sandwich is a tripleta. The juice do not even try it, it tastes nothing like the fruit and just like sugar and water. Que chevere is not a place that I will be visiting again. I spend too much for the poor quality of foos that I was given and will not be visiting again. It is expensive!

The empanadas here are absolutely amazing — so flavorful and perfectly cooked! The plantain chips were also delicious and super fresh. What really stood out was the woman up front. Even though she was juggling a lot of customers, she kept a positive attitude and was so kind and welcoming. Great food and great service — I’ll definitely be back!

100% the best Puerto Rican Food I have had in Monroe County. The fried pork was crispy while still maintaining an incredible amount of juice, the tostones were fried to perfection, and the rice was the most authentic to my childhood experiences. I have absolutely no complaints, and as someone who likes to be very forward about their critiques, That is saying something. P.S. The empanada was fire.

The woman at the counter was very nice and attentive, but the food was just not good. The tostones were soggy, the beef stew was dry and heavy on the salt—I would have loved a bit more balance in the seasoning to really bring out the flavors. Unfortunately, the communication between the person taking my order and the kitchen seemed off, which resulted in a longer wait than expected and then the wrong item being cooked. I had heard great things about the food here, but my experience didn’t live up to the hype and I left disappointed. Hopefully, it was just an off day (which can happen), but I’m not sure I’d be inclined to return.
