‘Pig’ Review: Searching for Meaning in Nicolas Cage’s Truffle Flick | Eater

"A white-on-white, buzzy fine-dining room presented as a Portland hotspot and a send-up of contemporary haute cuisine: servers deliver theatrical, New Age-tinged descriptions and smoke-filled cloches (including a deconstructed scallop plated with Douglas-fir smoke and foraged flavors). The film stages a tense confrontation between the protagonist and the restaurant’s chef — a formerly fired employee whose quick unraveling under scrutiny exposes the pretensions of the scene — and the location functions as a satirical critique of culinary ceremony and critical reverence." - Joshua David Stein

The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was truly amazing. The customer service was remarkable, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. I will definitely be back here with my fiancée! I ordered the beef and noodle dish, which was perfectly cooked and flavorful. My fiancée chose the chicken and rice with kimchi, which was a delightful combination of textures and tastes. For drinks, I opted for a refreshing sangria, which complemented the meal beautifully. She decided on a sparkly water, which was a light and crisp choice. The ambiance was inviting, and the staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring we had a wonderful time. We left feeling satisfied and eager to return for another memorable dining experience.

Stopped by after getting my geek on at Ground Kontrol Arcade. The atmosphere was inviting and calm. Staff very friendly. This Latino and Asian infusion eatery is awesome. I had the kimchi fried rice with chicken. It had heat but not spicy. Well at least for me. The rice and chicken were flavorful and the chicken was juicy and tender. The overeasy egg was cooked to perfection. I will have to stop by again when I am in downtown Portland again.

Absolutely delicious food! Chicken katsu and three sauce is a great combo. The chicken is moist and perfectly crispy, sauce is the best combo of sweet, savory, and spicy, Mac salad is delicious, and rice is reliably good too. Timely and friendly service! Neat looking place too.

We had just ordered from que dice and when we got the food, it didn’t include a side of Mac salad like we had ordered and the portion of our food was missing from the main plate. When we had gone back to the restaurant to let the employee know, she was immediately very accusatory and rude. Saying that we had eaten our Mac salad in the three minutes we were gone. Then continued to argue, instead of just admitting that she was wrong. Extremely unprofessional, and rude.

this place is a hidden gem! the quantity and quality of the food is actually worth the price which can be difficult to find in PDX. i got the chicken katsu and the ecuadorian ceviche and both were very flavorful and exactly what i was craving. the mac salad is probably my favorite part of the meal, it's a must try!

Came here on a whim after seeing all the reviews about their orange chicken. Lemme say it was the best orange chicken. It was piping hot, the mac salad was 🤌🏼 and the rice was great. $15 for basically 2 meals worth. Super nice people, incredible food. Check it out.

This place is amazing. The flavors were on point and the mac salad was some of the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend you visit. I use to go to Du’s a lot but it’s just not the same. This place knocks all chicken teriyaki off the map!

This place has some amazing Asian/Latin fusion cuisine! Highly recommend the Orange Chicken, yakisoba, and chaulafan (fried rice). You can choose your protein on most dishes, the shrimp and chicken were fantastic! The Orange Chicken is so tender and fresh with perfect breading, and comes with Mac salad, which is a surprisingly awesome combo! HUGE portions for the price, so that’s always a plus. And very helpful service!!

Yelp
Mangonade was determined to big my back because not only did I get one a swallowed it, as I was leaving I ordered another one and swallowed it before I got down the street. Girrrrlll this with a splash of some liquor would send you to the heavens. My bf got the beef bulgogi meal and enjoyed it as well. The girl that works the counter is such a sweetheart, felt like I was meeting an old hs friend. Ill def be pulling back up.

Yelp
Friendly service, great food. The Spicy Chicken is fantastic ! Order online for quick pick up. I wish they would open at 11:am, is my only suggestion.

Yelp
The food was so good, but unfortunately the service was weird. The restaurant was empty, and as we were finishing up, I went up to the counter to ask for a box and stood there being ignored for at least 7 minutes. I shouted "Excuse me" several times very loudly, and no one came out even though they were close enough that I could clearly hear their conversation. It took for me to call the restaurant from my cell phone while standing at the cash register to get someone to come out. Even then, the cashier didn't even acknowledge that we were kept waiting. Ending the visit like that definitely killed the vibe.

Yelp
I'm not the type of person to complain, but I was really disappointed after driving nearly 1.5 hours to FINALLY try it after waiting so long to make to time to go try their food I was excited to try it. But the customer service was awful (I understand she was busy and under pressure I work customer service myself I UNDERSTAND I truly do) but after paying nearly $40 including tip I at least expected my order to be correct after specifying while I was ordering. And she still acted dumb (sorry) when I went over to ask for the rest of my order she said "oh you ordered that?" Like ain't no way I paid that much for a single plate and a drink. She was on her phone for a whileeee, when I got up to go ask for the rest of my order she immediately turned away and acted busy I thought that was extremely rude and weird. Anyways this place is overhyped the food was like a 6/10 lol average. Customer service 1/10 sorry.
