Playful taquería by Que Hospitality mixing street tacos, lengua, and fun specials with soft-serve margaritas. Readers and local critics keep it on shortlists, and Axios covered its 2025 Uptown expansion.

Very underwhelming & SUPER overpriced. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, this place is NOT it. More americanized Mexican food with ONE SINGLE taco being about $4-$5, WOW, expensive. The whole ambiance, theme, and presentation of the food is very nice. Loved the decorations and ambiance of the place, but unfortunately, this is all this place has going for themselves. Ordered a regular margarita with a tajin rim, but unfortunately, it tasted like a lemonade. There was no taste of liquor at all, and for the price, I felt like I should've just ordered a lemonade at that point. So there started the disappointment. Ordered the chips and salsa, chips were great, the salsa not so much. No flavor at all. No salt, no pepper, just nothing. Felt like I was just dipping my chips into mush, and the only time I got flavor was when I got a piece of onion from the salsa. We ended up ordering the pork belly bowl, which, unfortunately, I should've listened to our waitress when she told us it could be better and use more sauce. Once I received the bowl, I instantly regretted it and noticed what she meant. Looked very dry and BLAND, and they gave me an avocado with a bunch of black spots all over it, ewww. Ended up switching it out for their burrito Cali, which was much better than the bowl, but unfortunately, the carnitas were so old, dry, and hard. I feel like the meat had just been sitting out for the longest time, and they gave me their leftover meat bc again, no TASTE at all. we ordered their Ramen Birria, and yup, instant regret again. Couldn't even finish it. The flavors just did not mix well even though it lacked a lot of flavor, and once you actually duh into it and mixed it all up, it left little desire to actually eat it. Overall, the concept of the restaurant, food presentation is THERE but the delivery and food leave little to be desired. $80 for 4 people was very expensive for everything to NOT be good, even the drinks. Super bummed as I've heard rav reviews about this place and from other elite Yelp members. I don't know if it was the time of day I came as to the reason why everything was not great or just an off day. Either way definetly will not be returning. Definetly will not be returning.

Google
This place isn't bad, but it's nothing spectacular in my opinion. I feel you are mostly paying for the vibe and beautiful decorations the restaurant has. First things first, I ordered the Birria Ramen and was left feeling underwhelmed. I expected it to be more or so... Ramen... like an actual soup; I was served all the ingredients in one plate, with the birria sauce in a separate cup. I mixed it all together, the meat was good, but the noodles were a bit bland in my opinion. We did order the corn ribs appetizer, which were delicious! I definitely would come back for those. I must note, our entrée was ready before the appetizer; not a big deal, but just thought I would make the comment. The service was nice, workers were friendly and responsive. There is loud music, if that doesn't bother you, and tight seating as well. All in all, I can't say I won't be back, but it would not be a 1st option in my book.

This was my first time at Que Fresa. The food was delicious. The atmosphere has great vibes. The staff is super friendly. I highly recommend this spot. Great place for a fun time with friends or loved ones

Google
Tacos and tequila is always a great idea. The food, vibes, and prices were where it needs to be. Half off drinks on Thursday really makes it a time but it’s a good spot overall. Will definitely be back. PS — the soft serve ice cream really topped it off.

Google
Hands down the best casual Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. Came from out of town and had been looking forward to the ice cream margarita all week - it did not disappoint!!! The accompanying burrito was also incredible. Wish I'd gotten the bartender's name but he was extremely personable and sweet. I wish we had a Que Fresa back home but I'll definitely be visiting every time I'm in Charlotte!

Google
I stumbled across this place for national margarita day and it did not disappoint. From the margarita to the birria taco, SO GOOD! The service was great too. I also got some steak tacos to go.

Google
Cute little taco joint with friendly service and great tasting food. It is tucked away in the far corner of the building so there's no parking near the entry and no easy way to get to it. I'm a disabled vet and the handicap parking is not close at all to the entry. Wheelchair accessibility would also be a challenge. There is a small patio for outdoor seating, but it is not covered. Inside has limited and crowded seating. There were some young kids there running wild in and out of the table seating area while we were trying to eat and that was frustrating. Overall, the fantastic food and service still kept this a 4 out of 5 Star rating.

Google
I got the fajita bowl. I was very flavorful and good. Also I had the leches cake, it was okay, the strawberries were fresh, just wish it had more strawberries throughout the cake. The layout of the restaurant was nice, I admired the artwork and decor. Additionally, the staff was friendly and welcoming. I will go back.

Yelp
I love it here. Seriously my favorite Mexican restaurant in the city. The flavors. The food. The menu is so intentional with items they make well. You can't go wrong with anything here.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Que Fresa for a while now and finally had a chance this weekend. The good: 1) the food (salad and tacos) was fresh 2) it came out quickly 3) the staff were very nice 4) my husband loved the barbacoa taco The not so good: 1) fast food style atmosphere that doesn't make me want to hang out 2) the first bite of chicken from my salad had a bone or hard tendon in it 3) my order was incorrect and I was charged for 3 tacos when I only wanted 2. I discovered this when they brought the tacos out and there were three of them. We didn't really want the third taco, but it was already made so we just went ahead and ate it. I didn't want them to lose the food and didn't feel like pushing it. It was a mistake when the person ringing me up must have misheard me because the music was so loud. 4) I ordered the house Margarita on special for Friday. It had a good taste to it, but it was overly sweet and the tequila was cheap tequila which gave me a headache within 30 minutes even though it was a weak drink. I probably will not be back, but if I did, I would make sure to upgrade the tequila in my margarita.

Yelp
Came for some after drinks food~ so we came on $6 margaritas Friday! It was very sweet, and simple. Nothing outstanding and what you expect for $6~ they have an inside and outside seating. Order at the front and grab a number to get your food delivered at your table. We got our drinks and food very fast which was great. I ordered a chicken fajita bowl with a customized requested of guacamole on the side and no sour cream. Glad they could accommodate. We sat outside which was cool and comfortable today. The inside was a casual vibe with a cute bar area. My big con was how I regretted the outside seating. We had a good girlie time with my friends but we noticed something crawling fast across the floor area, which was huge cockroaches! Everyone outside in the seating area were observing and dodging. I'm not from the area, but for me, it was very big and scary. A server was advised about it, but he honestly couldn't do much due to its speed. Food was ok. Basic bar food but not a place I'd visit because I am craving it or found it special. Definitely a place I'd visit after visiting the brewery next door.

Yelp
I came here on a random Thursday night. It's so cute inside and the service was friendly and smooth! I was craving birria, so I decided to get the birria crunch-wrap instead of the tacos and it did not disappoint! It was filled nicely not too stuffed but just right! The consome was so good it had the right amount of flavor and it was not too salty. It came with pickled onions which was so refreshing with each bite! I also ordered the yuca fries with it and they were good as well! I highly recommend this location . I also want to add that I came here about an hour before closing and everything still tasted fresh!!

Yelp
3*=A OK Pros: food was good! Staff were friendly. Like the variety of protein options. Ig backdrop worthy. Cons: too many tables. Constantly bumping into ppl and tables. Drinks can be stronger. Salsas could use a little more flavor

Yelp
This is a cute spot. It's an over the counter restaurant with an aesthetically pleasing bar atmosphere. I went to this place for lunch. I think this restaurant is appropriate for anyone looking for a light and quick meal. When I went I got 3 beef tacos on corn tortillas and they were great for lunch. They remind me of street tacos. Not big tacos and not very filling. The flavor of the taco was very good though. I think if I'm in the area and want something quick and light this is a good place to eat.

Yelp
We have had this spot on our radar for quite some time. Finally paid them a visit and I would say I'll be returning. It's fast food, which I was not expecting, but it's good fast food. I had the Birria tacos and they were perfectly seasoned. The consume was not over salty their pinto beans and rice are delicious! As a total package it was a little salt forward but tolerable! My husband was not a fan of the basic margarita, but he ordered a Paloma and said it was much better. The service is fast and friendly, and the place seems very lively and full of traffic. Their health score was 98%, which is very good!!!

Yelp
Stopped over for our road trip since we love Mexican food. I loved the vibe here, easy going, relax, plenty of table space for families. Self service to order food at counter. We got the birria rolls which was good, a little too cheesy in my opinion but still very good nonetheless. Got the chips and hot queso, the boys loved that. Ordered different 4 tacos, they were all good! We also got the tres leches for dessert at the end, it was very milky and delicious. Very good food and would come back if I'm ever in the area!

Yelp
We went for national Margarita Day. We sat at the bar and had a couple house margs for $6 which were really good. Premade on tap. You can add any flavor as well. We got chips and salsa to start. I ordered the Cobb salad which was great for the price. I couldn't eat it all. We were sitting at the bar and both bartenders were really nice and attentive. One was giving me history on Mezcal and the other gave me a little sample of what that use with their frozen marg. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Good experience! They have a counter where you order food, and then you pick it up and bring to your table when it's ready. The menu was *a little* confusing as I wanted to get birria, and the cashier explained that what I had chosen was more of a snack than a meal. I appreciate her looking out !!!! But also if some are more of an appetizer size, why not mention that on the menu? Anyways, we ordered and waited for our food to be ready (to-go). It took quite awhile, though it wasn't particularly busy. There were several tables filled but most had food already. Perhaps a bigger takeout crowd (?). Once we got home, we enjoyed our food! I chose the birria torta and partner ate a steak burrito. We also had the tres leches, which was delicious. Not life changing, but I felt the value was good, and I always love birria. This place is close by, so I will keep it in mind as a neighborhood spot. Will be back!

Yelp
Stopped at Que Fresa after an event with some friends and we really enjoyed ourselves! The space is very colorful and the music was good. Everyone enjoyed their food they received. I got the drunken Baja shrimp taco and the shrimp taco. I really wanted to try the salmon taco, but they were out when we went, so I definitely plan on returning to try that. I highly recommend trying the queso and/or the corn ribs! Those were also very delicious. Wasn't the hugest fan of their salsa, but it all tasted very fresh! Overall, I would recommend this spot!
google avatar

Julie P.

Yelp
I thought it was more of a sit down restaurant than a fast casual vibe (walk up/order/sit). Probably my own fault for not reviewing it more, but it was still good. Just know it isn't a server style spot and everything is al a carte. The tacos are fresh, the corn ribs are delightful and don't sleep on the birra! I also liked that even though they don't have a kids menu, they were able to make a simple cheese quesadilla for my kids. The queso was alright - that might be a pass in the future. Loved the decor inside, bright and funky and just overall fun! Parking can be tricky if it's a busy weekend, but you also have street parking!
google avatar

Yelp
I wouldn't say come here for authentic Mexican food, but is it good? Yes! I'm obsessed with the different agua frescas, I haven't had a bad one. The birria egg rolls are delicious, the al pastor is well balanced, and the dip trio is awesome. Nice for take out or a quick bite.

Yelp
Loved this place! Walk up to the counter to order, they give you a buzzer and when your food is ready you walk back up to the counter to pick it up. The bar area is cute too. Outside patio seating and inside seating. Love all the pink everywhere! Bathrooms were super clean. Ordered the chicken nachos and corn ribs and was so full! My friend got 3 tacos and chips and queso. She loved them all. The queso had a unique flavor I liked it a lot. Queso was a bit runny for my liking. Pricing was not bad either! Will be going back to try tacos myself.
google avatar

Annie C.

Yelp
Great casual spot for Mexican! Came on a weekday, you can either get full service or order at the counter. We chose to order at the counter, and got a Trio of chips with guac, queso and salsa, and tacos. The queso and guac were amazing! (The queso in particular) For tacos, I recommend the Campechano which has steak and guac. Love that they have outdoor seating too!
google avatar

Debra G.

Yelp
This is a great spot with daily specials. The staff is friendly but you have to order from separate counters for food and bar drinks which you pick up yourselves. Not a big deal but good to know for planning purposes (big groups). There is an outdoor patio with umbrellas and a huge parking lot onsite shared by other businesses. Some street parking also available. The fish tacos and nachos were great and the drinks packed a proper punch. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Love the tacos here, if you want something quick. I love coming on Tuesday, but definitely come at the right time or else it will be busy! They have a full bar which is cool and the staff is always nice and willing to give their specs on tacos!

Yelp
So I've been here twice and honestly it just keeps getting better! The first time was a quick pop in visit to try their most popular taco. I noticed how cute it's decorated, indoor and outdoor seating; plus a bar. The La Toxica taco had us sold! I knew I had to come back and try some of the others and check out their specials. The second visit we went on Margarita Friday! So I tried the mango margarita and then the pineapple because why not?! Both were delicious! I don't eat beef or pork so that limited me a little as far as options. I knew I wanted two La Toxica tacos and ended up also choosing the Sweet fire BBQ. Both of those are delicious! Hubby tried the Alambre De Camaron taco and said the Sweet Fire BBQ taco is better. But neither of them topped the La Toxica! We actually ended up ordering two more because they are that good! The cashier was very friendly and offered great recommendations. She even let me sample their strawberry juice! Which of course I needed a full cup of. If for nothing else I'll be back for their strawberry juice and La Toxica Taco!
google avatar

Yelp
Que Fresa is an easy go to! They're food is just so good. I should do a better job at trying other menu items lol. I always order the La toxica tacos, they don't ever miss with these! Soooo soo good, the mango buffalo sauce and crema mango salsa is just soooo tasty with the chicken and other ingredients. I literally just order several of those and I'm in heaven. I also really love their soft serve cocktail that comes with some tequila dripping around in the cup. Idk why this combo of sweet and alcohol really does something for me. I generally don't enjoy sweet drinks but this one is amazing!!! I get it everytime I go. My boyfriend order tacos too, and really enjoyed them. Que Fresa is such a great option for delicious food and the staff here is the best. Always so nice and helpful. And the other really clutch part is their parking is super convenient and that is a wonderful these days!! Be back soon!

Yelp
Had a lunch date with a co-worker here, and we were satisfied with our meal. The service was subpar when we were ordering. It was our first time here, so we just kind of went out on a limb and tried what sounded good. You just walk up to the counter and place your order, then seat yourself. The decor is really aesthetically pleasing with a pink wall with funky decor, a selfie wall, and pink flowers hanging from the ceiling. Super cute! I ordered the pork belly taco, birria, and chorizo tacos. I only really liked the pork belly taco, I wasn't too crazy about the others and would not order them again. Chips and queso - The queso was really good My favorite bite was the caramel churros. They were so warm and yummy. I went on a Thursday, and they had a soft serve margarita drink that was really good as well. Can't wait to go back and try some other menu items.
google avatar

Yelp
Although Que Fresa is a smaller restaurant they still managed to deliver top notch vibes and IG worthy aesthetics. Employees were kind and helpful with recommendations. The restaurant included a full service bar and a patio area with umbrellas to help you beat the summer heat. I ordered the quesadilla app with chicken and the corn ribs. The corn ribs were amazing and the true star was the sauce that came with them. I would definitely return to try other menu items and would order the corn ribs on every visit !
google avatar

Diana P.

Yelp
Best house margarita! These are made with a ginger citrus mix and it's amazing! Also obsessed with the al pastor tacos. My go to spot when I need a great drink special.
google avatar

Lea L.

Yelp
Great tacos, well priced menu. I tried the taco Tuesday special tacos, shredded chicken tinga, cubed chicken and the corn ribs. The guacamole is super flavorful. Good service and a very color space! With cute quotes and light fixtures. Nice drink menu, everything seems good. Definitely need to come back and get some more guacamole.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to come with friends! I love the food and drinks! The service is always kind and welcoming and the ambiance is adorable! I ordered a fried rice bowl with an egg and it was very delicious and fulfilling! I also ordered the churro balls for dessert and they were so very good soft and fresh! My drink was a mojito and it was delicious. I love their weekly specials as well. Will be returning!
google avatar

Yelp
One of my favorite places I visited on my trip to Charlotte! Super trendy interior and enough tables for small parties to come in and have a casual bite to eat. There is no table service, you order at the counter once you decide what you want and you go retrieve your food once it's ready. The cashiers were great at giving me recommendations when I was indecisive -- their menu had so many enticing options! I ended up getting the loaded fries bowl because I was feeling fries (10/10) and huge portion so I had leftovers with Rosita Fresita to drink (good but the strawberry they added wasn't very fresh). Next time, I'd either try the birria ramen or fried rice bowl. My friends got the birria egg rolls and RAVED about them more than anything else! Wish there was a location in Atlanta :-(
google avatar

Nesha M.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the weekl specials are top tier. The design of the restaurant was unique. There is an option for full service at the bar or self serve everywhere else. There were a few empty seats at the bar but not two seats together to accommodate our party. We would have love to experience the full service but the self serve option was not a bad choice either. The gentleman at counter was very helpful with recommendations and patient when we did not know what we wanted. The bartender asked for our ids and refused a drink to a person who could not present a physical copy. This added security measure I am sure was for safety. We were given a beeper for when our food was ready however the food sat for a bit before our beeper indicated our food was ready making the food temperature lower than expected but the flavors were still very good .

Yelp
Taco Tuesday is definitely worth checking out. The tacos were delicious and for the price, you can't beat it.

Yelp
Such a fun and cute Mexican restaurant! I love the decor. It's very pink and girly! You order at the front and pick up your food when the buzzer goes off. Service was great! The food came out very quick. I came here in their 1 year anniversary party and they were running lots of great specials. The tacos were half off so I ordered 3 tacos. The pork belly one was amazing! It was such a unique taco with the different toppings in it. I also loved the beef birria one. It had lots of meat and it was flavorful. The fried chicken one was also really good. There were so many other ones on the menu that I wanted to try! I also got the large margarita. It was super sweet but tasty. I loved the little soft serve shooters that they had for the party. They were like a mix of vanilla and strawberry ice cream mixed with tequila. It was really refreshing and the perfect amount to end the meal. Overall, everything was great and I'll definitely come back to try other items!

Yelp
Really liked this place. It has outdoor and indoor seating and they also have a bar. Came here for lunch and I ordered the chicken torta. It was fresh, flavor was good and portions were also good. All the food looked amazing for sure. Place is pretty inside too and has nice decor.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere! The vibe is fast casual eatery meets bumpin' Latin nightclub haha On Sundays they have $2 off appetizers. We tried the corn ribs and bang bang shrimp. Both were very good. We also tried some tacos which were ok. Not sure if this place is good for groups. I overheard some customers being told they don't like you to push the tables together so they had to wait for a four top to open up. There is outdoor seating in the front of the restaurant but it was a hot day so no one was sitting outside.

Yelp
So glad I finally got to try out Que Fresa as the food, drinks, and service did not disappoint. As long as we walked in, we were greeted warmly and provided menus for further review. Really appreciate that they were nice when we asked questions about the menu. I ordered a chicken quesadilla, and my husband ordered the bang bang camarones and the birria dip. Everything was so good! The bang bang camarones was my husband's favorite while mine was the quesadilla. If you want to grab a drink, there is a separate bar area inside to order from. I got the strawberry margarita, which was by far the best tasting margarita I've had in Charlotte so far. I also tried to order the La Fresa Frita but the machine wasn't working or cold enough when I came. The bartender said maybe in 10-15 mins so I just decided to order another margarita instead, since it was so good. The bartender was so sweet tho that once the machine was back working, she brought me a sample so I could test it out. We really had an amazing time at Que Fresa! We'll for sure be back soon

Yelp
My visit in Que Freda was very nice. The service was amazing they helped me bettering my margarita. I loved the taquitos and the cheese was amazing. The ambiance was good I liked the lighting and flowers they had as decorations.

Yelp
We weren't totally disappointed with our experience at Que Fresa, but they definitely could improve in some areas. The Birria tacos were delicious! They're small but packed with meat! Good job! The Birria egg rolls are phenomenal! Those are also packed with meat! Good job! The Burritos are NOT packed with meat and in fact it's more rice than anything else. Very disappointing. The atmosphere is chill with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They give you a pager that buzzes when your order is ready. Definitely get the agua frescas, they're delicious! Overall we would return, but I wouldn't recommend the burrito, they're stingy with that.

Yelp
I went to this place to celebrate a friend's birthday. It's a cute restaurant with gorgeous flowers on the ceiling and a mural. There is outdoor seating and it seems to be busy on the weekends with people eating outside and a line forming by the door. You order at the counter and then come pick up your food which is easy and quick. There is also a bar on the right side. This establishment shares a parking lot with other vendors but it's pretty large so you shouldn't have trouble finding a spot. We ordered the trio dips and chips with a few tacos, all the food was tasty! I recommend visiting if you are in the area.

TACO TUESDAY! Had to come for taco Tuesday of course! $3 tacos with a good variety menu of tacos! The chips and queso & the corn ribs were BOMB! Tacos were great but the birria tacos were my favorite! (Not on the $3 menu) Don't forget to grab you a $4-6 beer off the Taco Tuesday menu or a drink from the Tequila menu because what's tacos without it?! Great music as well and very chill environment. So get cute and come get you some tacos!

Yelp
Was surprised when I walked in on how energetic this place was. Food was great. I asked the cashier to pick for me and I enjoyed everything. If you don't mind counter style ordering (no table service) then you're good. If you're in the area I would recommend stoping by.

Yelp
So many colors when you walk in it makes you happy! I had a long day so i decided to order and pick up. Spotted birria tacos and immediately ordered. They look unpleasant in the pics but they were hella good! The broth was a bit salty and well seasoned. I recommended this place to my classmates the next day and they gave me great feedback.

Yelp
Que Fresa is absolutely DELISH. I have eaten here once, and have taken out a few times. My husband LOVES it! I also love it, but wish they had a few more vegetarian options. I'm sure I can substitute from the other tacos but have never tried it. Of the two veggie options, mushroom & tofu, the mushroom is my favorite one. My husband is in love with one of the steak tacos. I have not tried anything other than the tacos including alcohol but really want to try their margarita next time. I love que fresa WAY MORE than I like que onda. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Wow. These tacos are FIRE. These are like 'boutique' tacos. I don't know how else's to describe it. If you're into trying something new, this place is for you. Let me tell you my favorites: - La Toxica - I love me a good buffalo chicken taco - Birria - Drunken Fish - Chicken Tinga I haven't tried the other ones, just because I'm so fixated on those, haha, but I do want to try out their nachos and the ceviche as well. I think the main reason I come here though are the margs. You can have just 2 and you'll be feeling delicious by time you leave, okay?! The ginger lime sour mix they have here takes the margs to ANOTHER level. Good tequila options as well! It is a fast service restaurant so you have to order your food and drinks at two separate counters, but if you want to sit at the bar, you get full service there. I will definitely be a regular here. It's always a hit.

Yelp
I wish I could give 6-stars to this Taco spot!! I enjoyed every aspect of my visit to Que Fresa - from the kind employees, to the bright pink decorations, and all the tasty tacos!! I tried their La Toxica tacos which contained fried chicken, mango Buffalo sauce, carrot and celery slaw, blue cheese, and mango salsa. Then dove into their classic and frozen margaritas, and strawberry filled churros. I loved the bold flavors in their food paired with their sweet and tangy drinks! The entire restaurant also has an 80s inspired theme which is brought to life through their decor, art, and killer music! Their is also free parking available around the back side of the building! Can't wait for the next Taco Tuesday with Que Fresa

Yelp
Absolutely ADORE this place! Repeat offender/eater if you will... An actual hidden gem nestled on the side of Freemore Tavern- you could almost miss it! In fact, I bet most do. Plenty of parking (a true luxury in Charlotte). This is not your typical full service restaurant. You order at the counter, obtain a buzzard, find a table. Bar drinks are only done at the bar. If you come on a weekend night I suggest tag teaming bar drinks while the rest of the party scouts for a table. Even with a full restaurant our food came fairly quickly! I would say they specialize in tacos but almost everything I've tried has been so dang tasty. My friend and I shared the trio to start (chips, salsa, guacamole, queso- add chorizo). IMO skip on the guac, GET THE QUESO ADD CHORIZO!! The salsa was fresh but the quac was lacking flavor and overall mediocre. Other recommendations include: the birria rolls (appetizer & tacos). La toxica and sweet & sour pork belly (preppy tacos). The preppy tacos reminded me of velvet taco but WAY better! Imagine being shocked with a different explosion of flavors with every single bite. Yes please! I wasn't a big fan of the camaron con chicharron due to the shrimp being so small. Wishes they were bigger or at least tasted more fresh. Let's talk drinks...large tequila selection, easy to read drink menu, tequila flights anyone?! They have a selection of speciality cocktails & margs but don't be afraid to ask for something not listed! I opted for a spicy mango margarita with a tajin rim- just lovely! Definitely getting it again. For the month of February they're featuring different cocktails in fun pouches. My friend got a mezcal margarita and aside from it being cute it was also quite tasty. The staff was one of the best parts of the entire experience! Very friendly, helpful, passionate. The employees behind the counter gave their honest opinions when helping me decide on what to order and the bartender was just as helpful when deciding on a cocktail. Don't let the non-full service aspect steer you away from this place! Still makes for a great date night, girls night, whatever night. I also love the plaza it is situated in. Plenty of good spots to hop around after dinner. Pro tip- they have lunch specials & do brunch on the weekends!

Yelp
I tried this place out because I work close by and a coworker told me they're all over TikTok. We went yesterday but they were closed I thought the closed sign was cute. Once I got there I park on side of road but you can park by rhino market. The place was packed and super cute and cozy. I noticed all the things to make margaritas (alcohol). The vibe and staff was super friendly. I tried the beef burrs tacos,Barbacoa and carnitas. The flavor of the tacos was what set it off it was a party in my mouth. After my meeting I went back to try the nachos because I'm greedy. They were good but since I had already ate I didn't really get to them until later. I recommend you get everything on the side because it became very mushy quick. Overall I do plan to try the bang bang shrimp tomorrow. lol

Yelp
My first visit and I was thoroughly pleased with this New Mexican hot spot. It was everything I look for. A lot of parking, a lively bar, table space and AMAZING food! There was so much to choose from that I had a hard time deciding. Prices are affordable. Drinks are delicious. Food is tasty. Service is friendly and helpful. Restrooms are CLEAN!!! What more could you ask for? The beef belia is melt in your mouth good! The shrimp ceviche is bursting with tasty flavorful shrimp bites and crispy vegetables. Just come taste for yourself. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
This was my first visit - popped in on a Friday afternoon shortly after opening. I was able to find parking behind the restaurant with no difficulty. When walking into the restaurant you'll see this beautiful artwork on the wall and decor hanging from the ceiling. The place looks so clean and colorful! I ordered: $25.49 Chips and Guacamole ($5.95) La Toxica (4.95) Sweet and Sour Pork Belly ($4.95) Campechano ($4.75) Soft Drink ($2.95) The guacamole was delicious and so fresh. I liked all the tacos. If I had to rank these - #1 Campechano, #2 Sweet and Sour Pork Belly, #3 La Toxica. Campechano taco was so good I thought about ordering a few to take home. The meat was well seasoned/flavorful! The employees give you this green sauce which is pretty spicy. If you order the Sweet and Sour Pork tacos ... add this sauce to it - complements the taco/meat sooo well. La Toxica seemed to be a "fan favorite" so I tried it out. The chicken was extremely tender but the other two topped it. Highly recommend.

Yelp
One of my favorite additions to Morehead St!! I live close to Que Fresa and it is so so good. There is plenty of seating as well as an outside patio for nice days. The service is always great, it's a mix of a fast food / sit down restaurant. I have gotten the carnitas tacos, dip trio with chips, as well as a margarita!! All were 8-9/10 stars and so yummy. The margarita was a little sweet, and was likely a premix.

Yelp
This is my new Friday night dinner spot. They have a special for everyday of the week. Friday was dedicated to $6 margaritas and it's $1 extra for an additional flavor. The bartenders were very nice and helpful. This was my first time visiting and I was struggling to read the menu on the board so an associate handed me a menu without me asking :) I ordered the chicken quesadilla and calamari. Both were delicious and flavorful. The calamari comes with a special sauce that was sweet and paired well with the dish. The quesadilla was a good portion and filled me up. The customer service was great and everyone was friendly. There is a free & spacious parking lot next to the building. The walls are decorated with painted artwork and the ceiling is filled with pink floral decor. I visited Que Fresa around 5pm and it wasn't that busy but it got busier as the night went on.

Yelp
Tex Mex Chicken & Waffles Located in Downtown Charlotte, Que Fresa offers a variety of new Tex-Mex options.I tried the Beef Machaca , Chips & Queso, & Chicken & Waffles. All 3 were great. My friends had the Loaded Taquitos, ChoriPapa Taco, and Alambre Steak & Cheese Torta. This place is a total vibe & should be added to your CLT Brunch spots for the weekend. The service flow for this location is cafe style where you order your food, choose your seating, and get buzzed over when the food is ready for pickup. MUST-TRY MENU ITEMS Chicken & Waffles 9.5/10 - The Chipotle seasoning on the chicken and Chipotle Maple syrup makes for a new and delicious take on the classic Chicken & Waffles breakfast special. Chips & Queso 9/10 - The blend of cheeses were rich and creamy, with a slight tang that kept me coming back for more. The queso was expertly seasoned, featuring a delicate balance of spices that elevated the flavor profile. Beef Machaca Taco 9.2/10 - This is built from many layers of texture and flavor that create a unique and cohesive breakfast taco. This taco was of the best beef tacos I've had at a restaurant.
