Google
Loved eating here. They were some of the best tacos I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Super flavorful and you can tell they don’t skimp on the toppings. I ordered shredded chicken and my friend got the grilled chicken. Both were fantastic. I also got a mango margarita and it was delicious! So refreshing. The chips and salsa they serve also tastes authentic and flavorful. I would totally eat here again if I’m in the area.

Google
Was in the area and wanted some tacos. Chose Que Pasa based on other reviews, and it exceeded my expectations. The red tacos were amazing (tried several meat options). The xango and tres leches cake were amazing as well as the churro (went back the next day, didn't eat all these desserts at once lol). I'm now looking for reasons to visit the area again just to get more red tacos. Make sure you get the horchata as well.

Google
Oh my caramba shi was incredible hands down the best taco I ever had what a good joint. The beef birria taco is so dense and filling. The horchata makes you wanna hore on a chat with ur ex. Good food with good company ex Samsearch intern and future Samsearch CMO

“Que Pasa Taqueria is amazing! The food is delicious, and the owners are fantastic. Huge shoutout to Gustavo for taking such great care of us during our visit. I highly recommend trying the Los Tacos Birria with a single tortilla and a side of consomé – it’s a must! Also the queso is amazing! Everything was fresh and flavorful. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon!”

Google
Que Pasa Taqueria is a hidden gem that delivers a burst of flavor with every bite. The carne asada fries are an ultimate indulgence, perfectly crispy and generously topped with tender beef and zesty toppings. The torta Cubana is a delightful fusion of flavors, with layers of succulent meats and fresh ingredients that make each bite satisfying. But the star of the show is the birria pizzadilla—a brilliant twist on traditional birria, with gooey cheese, rich, savory beef and onions! What truly sets Que Pasa apart is the outstanding staff. From the moment we walked in, the team was welcoming and attentive, eager to recommend their favorites and share their passion for the dishes. Their friendly demeanor and quick service made our meal even more enjoyable. Each dish showcases the restaurant’s commitment to authentic, bold flavors and exceptional hospitality. A must-visit for any taco lover!

Google
Ordered pickup through DoorDash, order was ready in perfect timing and they remembered my drink. Food was great, had Birria ramen, two steak red tacos and three regular steak tacos and all were tasty. Also had the chips and salsa and they were sooo good! Very authentic taste.

Google
Note to self, come back and eat here as soon as you have a chance. Im not one to review a place I just ate at once & speak this highly but that is the case here, absolutely delicious. California burrito w carnitas tasted every bit as good as the photo looks. Guacamole was creamy smooth & super flavorful, chips were freshly fried & worth every bit of 6$. I cannot wait to come back, sit down, eat some tacos & explore more of the delicious food. I first noticed these folks at the Lakeside Taco Fest, made a conscious decision to skip that day & visit them since they’re located so close to me. Am I glad I did. Great food guys, keep up the good work.

Google
Great street tacos! My favorite are the al pastor! Hubby really likes their birria tacos! Quality taste and flavor, and the margaritas especially the Cadillac marg was fantastic for a casual Mexican joint - delicious!

Jerry H.

Yelp
Great little restaurant with super tacos! Try the red taco combo with consomme. The California burrito was good too, and huge.

Kim L.

Yelp
Just ok for me. My bf and I ordered 4 tacos to share. 2 chorizo, 1 chicken & 1 beef for carryout. Once I got home I realized they gave me a beef instead of a chicken, and something else instead of chorizo (not sure what). I'd like to see enchiladas and tamales on the menu. Flavor was just ok also, not wowed and I didn't like the chips. Not sure if I'll try again.

Karim J.

Yelp
Awesome food, service and atmosphere. It wasn't super crowded when we came thankfully but it did feel lively. My red tacos were so crunchy and flavorful, and the consomme on the side was exquisite. Wasn't expecting to find a place like this in Royal Oak

Codie Nicole A.

Yelp
Popped in here for a late lunch my carryout was ready and all packed up to go on time. The food was hot and generous portions. The steak was cooked well and I enjoyed it with the consume I ordered on the side. Tacos didn't come with rice and beans but added it on for $2.39. Also ordered the corn in a cup which I expected just the top to be seasoned good but the whole thing was mixed through and hit the spot. Definitely need to keep this in the lunch rotations

Jaye L.

Yelp
We were hosting dinner over the holidays and decided to get tacos to compliment our nachos, but these ended up being the highlight of the night. We have never eaten here before so we weren't sure how the red tacos were supposed to taste (maybe they have crunchy shells when you order them fresh instead of take out?) but the flavor of the tacos were really good even though the shells were not crunchy. We got 12 birria steak red tacos and then 12 shredded chicken red tacos - both had very tender meat fillings. The accompanying sauces were also good with the green sauce being quite spicy in a good way. Leftover tacos also heated well in the air fryer for a crunchy shell. We will definitely be trying more things from here.

Deanna D.

Yelp
We ordered 6 tacos to go. They were good but I bet even better if we ate them right away. The place was busy and looked like a local favorite. I'd go back again and try something different.

Don R.

Yelp
Small little strip mall restaurant. Nice and clean. Very nice employees. Nice atmosphere. Had some kind of eating challenge in 10 minutes. Not sure what it entailed but looked like a easy win to me unless it was more exotic than I like. I had their combo number 2 . 3 tacos and a diet coke. They were red which I assume means their birria beef. Very tasty. Plenty of meat. Still charging extra for cheese on tacos? Almost $15. I guess that's the new norm.

Yelp
I visited Que Pasa Taqueria with a couple of friends who thought the place looked interesting. This was on a weekend evening and the place was basically completely packed with additional people waiting in the front for pick up orders. Even with it being so busy, service was pretty fast and although rushed, still friendly. Chips & Salsa (Complementary) - The meal starts with pretty standard commercial chips with salsa. The salsa is fresh with just a slight spiciness to give a kick. While nothing special, chips and salsa are always appreciated at any Mexican restaurant. Molita, Carnitas ($3.99) - This molita is extremely greasy, with grease spilling all over the plate and bursting out of the molita. The carnitas and everything inside is completely filled with grease, and I felt it dripping all over the mouth as I ate. The carnitas is just pulled pork; doesn't seem to be fried at all. It's very tender and moist (with grease) with no crisp or caramelization whatsoever. The molita comes with a red tortilla on top and bottom - which honestly didn't taste much different from a normal tortilla. I would not get this again. (2/5) Burrito San Francisco ($12) - I have no idea why they call this a "San Francisco burrito" when this burrito style is from the other side of the state down in San Diego. And what's funnier is that they have a "California burrito" on the menu which resembles a Mission burrito from San Francisco. Not sure why they decided to swap the two names. With that out of the way, this is the best California burrito I've had in the Midwest. The overall construction and flavor is better than a number of joints I've visited in SD (looking at you, Lolita's). The fries actually stay crisp inside. The pico adds freshness and there's an appropriate amount of carne asada stuffed inside. The asada has some gristle in parts, but is seasoned well with good flavor. The interior has more than enough crema and guac to moisten up all the fries and meat. There's plenty of cheese added for additional creaminess and bulk. The tortilla is crisped up on the flat top after construction, adding additional texture and flavoring the tortilla. The one thing I would improve is to not serve it cut in half - there were a number of jagged foil bits embedded in the burrito in the cut halves. If that gets improved, this would be a burrito I would get even in San Diego. (5/5) I am extremely surprised at the quality of the burrito here. I'd almost given up on finding a good California burrito in Michigan after multiple failures. Now I finally have a place to go to when I get that craving. Bathrooms - Two individual rooms, one for men, one for women. Overall rating of the food this visit: 3.5/5

Yelp
I'm kind of a taco fiend, admittedly so. I had higher hopes for this place though, food wise. All the reviews seemed to indicate that the food was full of flavor, but it was honestly just a little 'meh'. I felt like something was missing? The fresh cilantro and onions and tomato's are great, but there's so much that it's almost all you taste? I ordered the Combo with 3 tacos. All chicken and a side of rice and beans and added some consumeè as well, but the sides were very average. There was no flavor in the rice or the beans, just a pool on the plate. The consumeè smelled absolutely delicious, but again, not much added to the taco itself. I cleaned my plate, but I honestly wouldn't choose this place for tacos again. However, the waitstaff - phenomenal. They were attentive, they were quick to bring forgotten items and they were so polite and so considerate the moment we walked in the door.

Anna M.

Yelp
Absolute fire. Best tacos I've had in the area (and probably ever) One out of 5 times, the ingredients wont taste as fresh, the crunch in the tortilla isnt quite there, etc-- but otherwise pretty consistent

Fadya A.

Yelp
Just for my food these people that work there are very very rude they have no customer service what so ever. They need to have more manners and need to learn how to talk to customers.

Evan A.

Yelp
Red Taco's are amazing. Was super excited for them to open. I was not let down, the green salsa for the tacos is really good!

Ben V.

Yelp
This taqueria in Sterling Heights is a must visit! The queso tacos are a must have here. It comes with melted cheese between two corn tortillas with very tasty protein of your choice. Get here early for lunch as the tables are limited and fill up quickly! The restaurant gives true taqueria vibes and has super friendly staff working all the time. The kitchen is always bustling and smells amazing.

Julie T.

Yelp
Excellent food!!! Definitely be coming back and prices were reasonable for what you got and it's your authentic food and that's what I like. My daughter and her boyfriend brought me for my birthday and the place did not disappoint me and I will recommend to my friends and family to definitely go there. Customer service is also top notch and very friendly and helpful.

Anthony F.

Yelp
The place is very modern and most importantly the food is absolutely delicious and tasty 10 out of 10

Tamra J.

Yelp
Food is amazing!! If you want amazing birria this is the place, flavorful and made with care! The tacos are authentic made traditional street style any protein you choose is going to be tender and juicy! I get the birria noodles every time will not disappoint! Great way to warm up and so much food for the price well worth it. Margaritas are a somewhat new addition to the menu and they tasty. Great ad on to any meal. I can't say enough good things if you're looking for great authentic Mexican food this is the place to be. The staff make you want to return they are all so kind and make the meal that much more enjoyable.

Camille C.

Yelp
Best Birria Tacos delicious burritos delicious dessert My son fav Mexican restaurant Didn't care for ramen though Parking is horrible and limited seating

Nha V.

Yelp
Tacos always solid here. Quick service & food come out quick. They also have consome you can order on the side, also try the ramen. That's really good too. Can't go wrong with anything from here

Marcel D.

Yelp
If you want affordable authentic Mexican, this is your place! Their meats are flavorful, and their options are plentiful!

Mista D.

Yelp
Food is good, but as far as portions compared to what the prices are the tacos, is a bit steep and the consume sauce is small portioned also. Overall though, good food.

Amy P.

Yelp
Hidden gem! Their tacos are AMAZING. Gustavo is the owner & he's always there checking in with customers to make sure we're enjoying our meals. Typically I order the Combo 1 which is 3 street tacos, rice & beans, & a drink. The salsa is perfect-house made and the cilantro gives it an amazing flavor. Mexican cokes or Jaritos are what I get to drink-when in Rome, right? The tacos come in corn tortillas with cilantro & onions (this is not an American version of a taco-no flour tortilla, no cheddar cheese, etc) and they are SPECTACULAR. I have had both chicken and birria and their birria is 10 outta 10. The servers are great, the place is always clean, and the music is Spanish. This is a small spot, they do a lot of carryout business. The menus are paper / cutlery is plastic/ food served in a basket-you get the idea-but I recommend sitting down & eating there. Fun fact? They serve margaritas & beer, so it would definitely be a fun place to grab dinner & a drink before a night out. DEFINITELY recommend!

Saketh A.

Yelp
Best Al pastor burrito I had so far in the area! The perfect amount of juiciness, meat, salsa, lettuce, and juiciness! Oh man :) Let's see, I did carry out and it was fast simple and easy. Staff were friendly. Parking outside is nearby and quick. I recommend this place for the burrito. A little pricey for a burrito but the size and flavor of it definitely compensates for the 12/13$ price tag

Sydney K.

Yelp
Burris red tacos from the truck. Hit the craving I had for tacos that day. Hoping to try from the restaurant as well sometime soon.

Amber R.

Yelp
Food is always so fresh and favorful. Customer service is amazing as well! Ate my food before I could snap a picture lol! Love that they cared enough about Valentine's Day to decorate and give free dessert to everyone.

Vasia Z.

Yelp
The tacos here are really good. They are by far the best tacos we have had. Service is good and very fast. Definitely recommend coming here!!

Nathan S.

Yelp
Having gone to USC and lived in LA, taco trucks are part of my soul now. I'll start by saying that the tacos here are great and the quesadillas are some of the best I've ever had. That said, I can't say that the prices are very fair. In LA food truck tacos are usually about a dollar, there was a massive outrage when a famous one went up to like 1.25 recently because of inflation. Quepasa Taqueria charges like 3 bucks per taco which is insane tbh, even for how good they are. A street style taco, even Birria style should never be that high. A combo for 10.99 of 3 tacos is crazy. They also force you into having to get the combo for most of their items because the menu only lists groupings of 2 and 4. Clever little trick. Now, small taco shops like this usually don't offer chips and salsa, which is ok. But, charging 1.99 for a refill of salsa at a table is also insane. TL:DR: Great food, awful prices. It's nice to try every once in a while, but could not be my go to taco spot. Think you get more value at Azteca.

Joe G.

Yelp
To soggy , I was disgusted and threw it away. Probably better in person when sitting down but do not order quesadilla to go.

Dave M.

Yelp
Ok, I'm jumping on the 5 star band-wagon on this one. Excellent value, excellent food and excellent staff! The Torta Cubano I ordered was large and delicious! The Birria tacos were, per a lot of other reviews, flavorful and jammed pack with meat. I agree with a previous reviewer that SuperTaco are still the gold standard Quesabirria taco when it comes to flavor, but Que Pasa does a terrific job on their version and they are a better value. Service was friendly and quick. Nice group of people for sure. Definitely deserves a space on your "To Try" list.

Emily L.

Yelp
This place never disappoints! I enjoy all the red tacos, and the que pasa burrito is amazing as well. I especially like their queso dip.

Aracely C.

Yelp
I'm from SoCal and having the abundant of good authentic Mexican food available is something I miss since moving to Michigan. I have tried a handful of Mexican restaurants, and they have all been disappointed. Someone recommended this place, so we decided to try it out. The place is very small with a few tables inside but don't expect to be able to sit a large group inside. We initially were going to sit and eat but, we decided to takeout instead. We grabbed a menu and started to browse. Right away we decided to try 4 red tacos with birria and 2 al pastor, carne asada fries, an order churros and a large horchata. We ordered with the cashier and paid for our order. We were told it was going to take 15-20 minutes. Inside the restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. The staff is small but since they aren't many tables, it wasn't a big deal. The parking lot is a weird layout with limited spaces near the shop. Outside it is not the nicest but that is okay, it is almost like a hole in the wall shop. Overall, we waited over 20 minutes for our order. It was Saturday early evening, so the dinner rush was starting. Once we got home, I was so excited to try the food since the whole car ride back smelled so good. The fries did not disappoint, it did take me back to SoCal. I just wish the order was bigger, but the flavor was good, and toppings were fresh. The red tacos were so good. The tortilla is slightly fried which is almost a shell instead of a tortilla. The meat was delicious. We added cheese to them so that gave them an extra kick of flavor. We were also given two types of salsas; the green salsa is good with a good amount of spiciness. The red one was also great but nowhere near the spiciness as the green salsa. The horchata was good but a little too sweet. I needed the ice to melt a little longer to dilute it. The churros were disappointed. The Costco churro tastes better than whatever they gave. Overall, I will be back. This place hits all the marks when it comes to Mexican food.

Jmv Y.

Yelp
Five stars says it all. Friendly, fast, delicious, fresh, and reasonably priced. Small dining room but clean and bright.

Jeff C.

Yelp
I lived in San Francisco for many years, Que Pasa can stand up to any Taqueria in the Mission. Amazing!

Lindsey I.

Yelp
The best authentic taqueria you will ever come across. I may have lost track of how many times I've visited, but I can tell you that I have received the most amazing food and the greatest service from the lovely and friendly staff every single time. The food is absolutely phenomenal. Steak is my #1, but everything else is amazing too, so give it a try! Again, Que Pasa is hands down the best taco place I've ever been to. The combination of outstanding food and exceptional service makes it a must-visit. P.S. they have a second location opening, so that tells you how great this place is.

Jess L.

Yelp
I finally made it back and got some tacos to go along with the guacamole and chips and queso. The tacos, again, were some of the best I've had in Michigan. The guacamole was decent but not my favorite. The queso was awesome, thick, cheesy, seasoned. The chips fresh tasting. A great spot to visit.

Syri A.

Yelp
BEST. FOOD. EVER. From the service to the sauces this place is to die for. The fresh sauces and salsa that accompany the amazing dishes are not to be looked over. They even make a basic bean and cheese burrito something you think about the next day. I am surprised this much flavor can be created in such a small hole-in-the-wall place. 10/10 no notes.

Marc A.

Yelp
So many places have tacos, but something about this place just makes it that much better. The red tacos are stupid good. I always opt for the red shrimp tacos as they come with some pico on top. But you can't go wrong with the red birria tacos either. Honestly they're all great and served with that delicious consome that you can pour over your tacos or dip them in. Service is always quick and friendly. Now I just wish they had some good artesian tequila! I'd probably be there multiple times a week. Oh yeah, they have a food truck too!

Angela T.

Yelp
This is hands down my favorite taco place! I don't understand the negative reviews about price and oil. First of all, you get a full meal with a drink included for about $12. Their tacos are filled generously. It's also family owned so you're directly supporting a family instead of a corporation that will serve you 3 tacos (no drink) for $16+. Regarding the oily review(s), tacos aren't supposed to be "healthy." Maybe opt for a salad? Even when I make tacos at home they're oily, we need some cholesterol in our lives! This is definitely a hole in the wall place. It's in a plaza and you can easily miss it while driving by. It's family owned, which I love. They're super friendly and really value their customers. I always get the red tacos with grilled onions, no cilantro, and rice and beans. I usually get steak and grilled chicken. They always get my order right and it's always amazing. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. The elote and horchata are really good too! I highly recommend this place to everyone. I unfortunately don't have many pictures because I always eat my food right away. Ignore the reviews telling you to go to Azteca...... They clearly don't know what they're talking about. This is an authentic and family owned business. I'll support Que Pasa over those non-authentic places any day.

Diane R.

Yelp
This is my favorite taco place ever! I drive 25/30 each time to get them. The red tacos (chicken, shrimp, and steak) are the best! Every time I go I am greeted and treated with the best service. They are supposed to be opening a new location in Royal Oak and I cannot wait. Everyone that I have introduced this place to is hooked! Give them a try!

Ned I.

Yelp
Que Pasa is a nice, family owned establishment. Most of their business seems to come from carry outs, but dine in is available. The birria tacos were some of the best tacos I've ever had. The pricing is a tad higher than other Mexican restaurants. Also, beans and rice are not included in the majority of the combo meals. Despite these critiques, I enjoyed the overall experience Que Pasa had to offer and will be back.

Aneesa B.

Yelp
Que Pasa Taqueria is the BEST place I have ever been to for Mexican food. It is so authentic and delicious. Try the red tacos!! So well seasoned and good portions. My picture of 4 tacos is about $10, plus $0.25 for cheese on each. Large horchata is creamy and delicious too, and the chips and salsa taste so fresh. I live about 35 minutes away from this restaurant but would drive all this way when craving Mexican because it is truly the best I've ever had.

Janet L.

Yelp
The best most authentic Mexican food ever. Don't sleep on this one. We will never go to another place after trying this one.

mean M.

Yelp
Great food, great price, Food 9/10 Price 8/10 Speed 9/10 Service 9/10 If you're into savory food, I would recommend this place probably. the best Mexican food in michigan

Brooke B.

Yelp
Omg!! Great birra tacos i been on the hunt for the best and i think these might just be it! Great flavor beautiful place!

Pato I.

Yelp
Every time I go to visit my friend in Rochester he takes me here. He loves it, and I really like it. The food is really good, one of the best places I've been since moving to the US. The staff is also super nice and super chill. There is just a super friendly vibe among everybody.

Robert D.

Yelp
Great authentic Mexican. Fast service and fair prices. The interior has sit down space but it's a bit small. However it is nice and quaint.

Deamarlo B.

Yelp
I don't know where to start the food is OMG ! I mean this is my new spot after work! Their was a young lady standing up front at the cash register she thought I was under distress. That food is so good you have to pause with every bit. The restaurant is really small and cute.

Emily Y.

Yelp
Quepasa Taqueria is a small authentic Mexican restaurant located in a strip plaza right on 14.5 mile and Dequindre and if you're not looking for it - you just may miss it. It is a family run business, the owners/staff are friendly and provide exceptional customer service. The inside is on the smaller side, with 6 tables for indoor dining but it is colorful and inviting. As soon as you walk in you're greeted and brought complimentary chips and salsa. Their menu consists of traditional tacos, birria tacos, tortas and much more authentic cuisine. We ordered various tacos to try their variety of proteins as well as a torta cubana. Everything tasted amazing, was fresh and flavorful. I'm glad I stopped by here and have definitely found my go to restaurant for tacos and more. I will definitely be back and definitely recommend to everyone. From the service to the food - Quepasa exceeded my expectations!!

Nicole E.

Yelp
Small spot. 6 tables. The exterior of the building is old. I used to pass by this building during college, as one of my study group mates lived off of Dequindre. We ordered 2 jarritos, a mango and a pina, 4 tacos with pollo a la parilla and two tinga tacos, a guacamole and chips app and a corn in a cup. No red tacos today, they ran out. They don't have any mandarin jarrito either. Chips and salsa comes free with your meal. The corn chips are not my favorite, hard, bagged for sure and dense too. Some better quality corn chips would make the salsas and guacamole even better. The hot salsas are both good. Even the verde salsa has some kick to it too. The food takes a little while. Even our guacamole hasn't come out since we finished the first basket of chips. We didn't get anymore chips either. Our food all came out together, including the guacamole. The guacamole is decent, has some flavor to it. The corn in a styrofoam cup is so-so, drenched in liquid, butter isn't well mixed and was all over the spoon. The dry chili was okay, maybe a bit overwhelming, made me cough taking the first few bites. The corn kernels are canned. The tinga tacos were packed full and tasty. The pollo a la parilla tacos were good, the chicken meat are quite small pieces, not in chunks. I liked the small diced onions and cilantro in our tacos. Service is good. Come for the tacos, skip the corn in the cup and the guacamole, since you are stuck with the bad chips. It's a busy spot and there's a steady flow of folks coming and going too.

Roman M.

Yelp
Nasty food, and I saw a roach in there. The girl at the front desk also has a horrible attitude when I came in there.
