Google
Fun tourist spot for local souvenirs. Great selection of Cabot cheeses and other products. Wine tastings, cheese boards, jigsaw puzzles, plus local candies, chips, crackers etc. Definitely worth stopping in. Walking distance from the Gorge. Plenty of parking, and nestled in a strip is several other shops as well.

Christine P.

Google
I have always had a lot of fun! There are a variety of things to do: try wines, visit alpacas, shop at the antique store, visit the gorge, eat at the restaurants! Something for everyone and easily enjoy and all day trip within a few miles!

Google
Just stopped here to buy a gift bottle of Vermont Distillery vodka and do a taste sample, all very good. The weather was damp & dreary & we had someplace to be so didn't get to explore the antique store or other businesses. Seems like it would be a good place to spend a few hours. Along with the distillery there is also a brewery/restaurant, golf & sportswear shop, alpaca goods shop, & a general store.

We visited over the weekend and loved the stores there is a huge antique store a couple floors never seen so many antiques all in one place .The sweet spot candy store was has amazing fudge. I believe it was the general store next to that was very cute also we got few nice sweatshirts ,pants, couple nick knacks from our visit here.definitely worth stopping in and checking out all the stores ,i believe there was a winery or brewery at the end of mall we didn't go in that one. They had alpaca s out back and a little restaurant in the parking lot.

Google
First time in. Worth checking out. Some vendors think they're sitting on a gold mine. Others were appropriately priced. Typical of a group shop like this. Staff was friendly and nice. I will go again next year when I'm up this way

Google
We had a great day on a great Fall day at Quechee Gorge Village. The store full of Alpaca merch was great. Lots of nice items, very reasonably priced. Just outside is the petting pen. Perhaps a dozen animals. Very friendly, very pettable. The General Store had your typical Vermont tourist items. Cheese, syrup, tees, &c. Still fairly priced. We needed syrup anyways, so… The candy shop was crazy. I really didn’t know there were so many ways to package a pound of sugar The antique market was quite large. It kept going and going! Nice stuff. Mostly decent prices. The Toy Museum was interesting as well. I think we saw it all, but I would still go back!

Google
Great place to find a variety of antiques and Vermont made items like Cabot cheese and maple syrup. For locals the 3 lb blocks of Cabot here currently at $15.99 are less than or equal to the grocery store prices. There's something new in the antique section every time I stop by. Mall is connected inside to multiple other great shops I plan to post separately about. Though it no longer has the train which was great for kids, make sure to check out the toy store and live alpacas if you're stopping by with children! There's also a candy store and so much more.

Tim W.

Google
This was a nice place. Prices were high. They had a feew rescue alpacas that you can feed. If you try to pet them they will spit. There is a very nice antique toy area and a large selection of eclectic antiques. They are a little over priced but you can negotiate. Well worth your time. Also go into Quechee and see the covered bridge. They have a glass blowing factory on the water. Plenty of picture taking opportunities. I went in the fall and in the winter during a snow storm. Pictures turned out fantastic.

Yelp
This shopping mall is designed to appear like a 'western' town. A covered, wooden boardwalk spans the length of the main building with a few antique items for sale on display there. We actually came in the grab a sandwich or something for lunch but there was nothing available. We asked but during our visit, the bar was closed where you can get some snack items. Looks like ice cream is there too, which was also closed. The llama's out back are cute. If you have some change you can buy them some feed. One of the stores sells Llama wool items which are very warm and cozy. I recommend getting some socks if you have cold feet in the winter months. I purchased some for a relative. The other stores sell jewelry, clothing, cheese and antiques. You can access one store from another inside the building. Public restrooms are available between the antique store and the cheese shop. A very large, dirt parking lot in front includes handicap spaces by one of the entrances.

Yelp
Cute little strip mall. All the stores are connected which is really nice. I drove 90 minutes for the antique mall which was huge but I thought the prices were very high and I come from Northern NJ! My son (24 years ) and myself were shopping. We had someone following us pretty much the whole time. I did t notice this happening with anyone else. I even asked one employee why they were following us. He claimed he wasn't.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute little venue with hours of endless searching for that perfect gem. I was able to score a vintage Tiffany silver. We ended our shopping with a sugar rush at the candy store.

Yelp
Such a great experience! It is a bunch of little shops, but they are all connected inside, which is sooo great if someone in your group is ready to move on but you are not. They truly have something for everyone. From a Toy store, a candy store, an antique store, and everything in between! They had a store with clothing made from alpaca fur, and there were alpacas outside that you could visit and even feed!! They had a Vermont tourist gift shop with shirts, magnets, cups etc. that say Vermont, or Quechee. There was a store with specialty foods. They had an entire section of maple syrup in different forms, a wine section, a jam section etc. and they had coolers full of Cabot cheese. I was disappointed that they have not brought back the free samples. There is a gift for anyone you can think of here! It's the cutest little place! A must do when in Quechee.
google avatar

Yelp
If you're trying to look for a gift of some sort- you can always count on coming to Quechee to pump out the stereotypical T-shirts and knick-knacks at some of the shops here. Quechee is your answer to an all-in-one. Place opens with the Antique Mall to the right, Cabot to the left- plus other shops further back. You'd be surprised with the stuff you find here and if you look deep enough, you'll find eclectic sh*t like Bob Ross sticky notes \(~o~)/ that you wouldn't find anywhere else. Honestly, I actually bought some Vermont Maple Syrup, a VT magnet (because...who doesn't love a magnet?) and a few other tchotchkes to bring home. Trust me- you'll find some...thing.

Yelp
Not too far from the interstate, this small shopping center features a large antiques mall, the Vermont Toy Museum, a distillery tasting room, a large country store and a diner-style restaurant. The highlight is the train tracks that circle the parking lot and the steam train that's available for the kiddies to ride. Very cute! Plenty of parking in this gravel parking lot.
google avatar

Bill S.

Yelp
First thing, it's open for business as of now. And that includes all of it, which is a lot. There's an antique mall with all sorts of junk and treasures, some bargain-priced. There's a very nice cheese shop featuring a tasty variety of Cabot cheeses (there used too be samplings, but not during the pandemic). There's a clothing section, a toy museum upstairs, and you'll find homemade soap/candles and even some wines (no tastings during the pandemic). In other words, there's something here for just about everyone. Regrettably the adjacent restaurant now offers only takeout, and the kid's train that used to circle the area now no longer operates. We found the staff reasonably helpful and applaud the fact that everyone was wearing face masks. There's plenty of free parking, and the village is only a very short drive from the awesome gorge. At one end of the village is the Vermont Gold liquor store where you'll find some interesting Vermont-distilled products including some hand sanitizer in a handsome vodka bottle. Will wonders never cease?
google avatar

Mandy S.

Yelp
"OK" is a good rating here. This place is not what it used to be, which is a shame. It was once a beloved, 5 star attraction but it's going downhill. The train tracks are ripped up, no more cheese samples (as of summer 2022), no sampling of any kind (mustards, jams, etc) decreasing stock of local artisanal goods. Even the alpacas are a little too aggressive. It's a big gift shop at most- which is great in itself- but like I said, not the "must stop" destination it used to be.
google avatar

Anissa C.

Yelp
Super cute l antique store friendly staff huge selection of antiques food spices and they have a giant toy museum upstairs that will take back to your childhood all the way back to the 40s
google avatar

Christina E.

Yelp
This is a cute little mall with Alpacas and it's gear, Cabot cheese (and samples!), handmade natural soaps/candles/lotions, a jewelry shop, kitschy antique stuff and a liquor store. Since it was -15° out, we really took our time browsing through the aisles and selection. Bought some really cool stuff to take home with me so I'm pretty happy.
google avatar

Kimberly S.

Yelp
Best time ever and I HATE shopping. The cabot cheese samples alone are worth the visit and the cool things you can get for REASONABLE prices. Candy, unique clothes, the toy museum. Not a tourist trap like one would expect. A MUST see and needless to say the gorge is well... A GORG...where can you see one of those.
google avatar

Rob W.

Yelp
So much pretentiousness in such a small area, full of annoying and rude tourists and annoying and rude staff in the stores. I did okay in the Cabot shop, although I really only like extra sharp cheddar and nothing commercially made...vodka...any moron can buy drums of alcohol and add flavor...at least the little Whisper Hill shop was pleasant, as I've already reviewed.
google avatar

Yelp
The Quechee Gorge Village is a cute little open shopping center that caters mostly to tourists. It offers kid friendly activities like a train ride and goodies for adults like gifts. The Cabot store is also pretty great with its large variety cheeses and samples. We really enjoyed looking around in the antique shop - there is so much to see!
google avatar

Wayne Y.

Yelp
This is a plaza with various unique stores. I came by to shop at the antique store, but I also ended up frequenting the country store. They also have a jewelry store and some other adjacent shops, a diner, and a sushi place. There is ample free parking. It's so cute and New England!
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
While they have a good selection of cheese and Vermont goods, I can't recommend it. The staff there was just so rude for no reason so don't expect any help or a positive attitude. Worth it if it's just a quick drop in otherwise there are better shops in the area with better staff. It's a shame because it's a beautiful space.

Yelp
I wish I could say I've been here only once..... But thanks, Quechee Gorge Village for all the free lunches. Your Cabot Cheese sampling station really hits the spot on a cold winter day when we're running low on funds. 5 stars for going around the sample table thrice using the same toothpick. 3 for everything else.

Yelp
Oh Quechee Gorge Village. I think the "Village" is something that simply needs to be experienced. By Village I mean the large building which houses an antique shop (read: warehouse), a general store, and some sort of mini train thing. The general store is your typical "ohh how cute this is a Vermont general store" type thing. They sell all sort of maple products, etc. Big deal... The Cabot cheese tasting area (essentially a buffet) is absolutely grand. It is small in size, maybe only 8 -12 feet. But they offer free samples of almost every Cabot cheese. You will find everything from the sharpest cheese to regular American. Don't be embarrassed if you go around a few times - everyone does. Once you get sick of cheese you can move on to another free sample of Vermont goodness. Basically, if you hungry and have no money stop here to fill up. The antique warehouse is a thorn in my side. I like the idea of antiques. I really do. But there is just a huge expanse of antiques and most of it is stuff that you saw in your grandparents house and swore you would never buy, yet here you are bring it up the the register. It's okay we all make mistakes. There are some good finds to be had especially, if you like old tools and maps. I'd recommend this as a decent way to kill some time and of course eat as much Cabot cheese as possible.

Yelp
This place is really cute. I enjoyed being able to sample different local cheeses, dips, and syrups. What I didn't enjoy was the obnoxious little boy who was tasting everything without a parent to police for sake of hygiene and manners. I don't like to think of myself as a snob, but I do not enjoy seeing a child stick his dirty hands into various bowls of cheese with the same toothpick or dunking pretzels into the dip with his dirty hands. If you're going to leave everything out on a self-serve basis, at least have an employee monitoring that the rules are followed... especially during flu season!

Yelp
We travel a ton and never know where we will end up and was quite happy to find ourselves driving past the Quechee Gorge Village on our way home last evening. So, as we have done so many times in the past, stopped in for a bit of shopping. We passed on the cheese table since having Cabot cheese would mean that we would loose or appetite for the real treat to be found, the Grafton Cheddar cheese they also sell. I did enjoy a bit of maple cream sample on a Vermont cracker which satisfied my love of maple and allowed me to instead buy a half pound of fudge for the ride home. What we really enjoy is the antiques located in the shops. Everything is nicely displayed and there is a wide range of eras and items. There were very few, if any, reproduction pieces and the prices seemed pretty fair. I did purchase a fantastic vintage silk gown which usually isn't something I find when we go there. They have a fine array of vintage costume and fine jewelry too. Hopefully next time we go the weather will be warm and the sun will be shinning so we can stroll across the amazing Quichee Gorge bridge located just west of the store.

Yelp
Rooms and rooms of antiques and uniquely made items. Plan on spending a lot of time here if you want to see all 3 floors. The Cabot store is perfect if you don't make it to the actual factory store. Tons of samples for most of their cheeses and dips. There are multiple stores connected to one another. One has uniquely flavored fudges. This place is great to stop and look around. It made for a fun afternoon stop on our way home!

Yelp
This is a very cool village. I loved going through the antiques collection. Brought back many memories and it's also interesting to see what people by or what is considered antique. I saw coke bottles from the 90's!! In glass bottles! My friend and I ended up buying a few things that we liked! We tried a few of the different cheeses at the cheese tasting table.. some of them were delicious! And very sharp! Tried a few of the Vermont maple syrups! Did not think I would like some of those flavors but was pleasantly surprised! The alpaca farm in the back was nice and I learned a lot about alpacas which was cool! All in all it's a nice spot to stop at!
google avatar

Yelp
Great stores! You've gotta stop and browse if you're in the area. My favorites were the Cabot Store and the Antique Mall. Can't wait to try the ice cream place next time!
google avatar

Tina S.

Yelp
Yes - it is a tourist stop but well worth it. Sample maple syrup and cabot cheese. Yum to say the least. If you love cheese you must go! I didn't think I would get my son out of the place. Well worth the stop.

Yelp
Adorable exterior, absolute peachy-keen wine, cheese & syrup tasting plus a kitchy-cute gift store full of local oddities, bumper stickers and organic skin care. All wrapped up in a super fun exterior complete with rustic, coin operated children's fun out front. The Village may appear touristy out front but take two steps back and she's goin' badass gangsta. As much as I enjoyed every second of stuffing my face full of freebies and loading up on all sorts of fun local food & drink to take back to Rhode Island with me, the real prized jewel is the massively overwhelming antique showroom in the back. Forty-five minutes later I was still awestruck, dazed & consumed looking at all of the simply gorgeous and authentic vintage jewelry. We're not talkin' costume items here. If a diamond is a gal's best friend, then I'm just about ready to run off & elope with this joint. And while it certainly is true that much of the dealers essentially are just offering random knickknacks of the retro variety, the further & deeper you wander through this awesome maze, the better the finds. There are rows of cases full of the most lovely, simply perfect jewelry I've ever seen. Toward the back further still (and I mean, way back) is an entire area dedicated to vintage designer clothing, handbags and fashion goods. My heart! I enjoy stuffin' my face full of free cheese as much as the next chick but the antiques alone make this place more than worthy of a second round. After over a year of searching, I was shocked to have finally found -the- wedding ring of my dreams for about $1300 after wandering for 15 minutes in an antique store: who woulda thunk it? Amazing. Not into the whole throw-back fashion scene? Many of the dealers have a montage of interesting, humorous items that would keep even the most straight faced of peeps amused (I found a 1920 ladies' douche box upright and proud). I can't even begin to contain my excitement for this place. It's an absolute MUST for any fans of truly vintage, rare fashion items, especially those of us who are of the glittery, sparkly nature. The free syrups and cheese certainly don't hurt, either.
google avatar

Douglass K.

Yelp
The Toy Museum was amazing and made me want to rob the place (I would not of course) because it brought back many memories from my youth.
google avatar

Vanessa V.

Yelp
A cute tourist trap. We stopped when we saw a flea market outside, and stayed to check out the old timely strip mall. I'm sure real Vermonters don't go here, but free Cabot cheese, local wine, and antique guns... I'm in!
google avatar

Justine J.

Yelp
I grew up visiting my grandparents in Vermont, so we drove through Quechee probably 2-3 times a year... but I had never actually visited the Quechee Gorge Village until last year. It's such a cute little place -- the antique shop was so cool, we ended up spending the better part of an hour exploring in there. There's a jewelry store with some neat stuff, and a little train car diner. The best by far is the Cabot cheese store -- SOOO many goodies, and TONS of samples. Awesome!

jeanne c.

Yelp
Been checking in on this place for years. There are mostly small booths with small stuff, and the staff is less than helpful, and often rather rude. Because each booth is owned separately, the staff knows almost nothing about the items for sale. The creepy stuff in the dark basement is rather odd but my kids are distracted by the train, so that works. That being said, I have purchased a few things over the years at good prices - jsut have to really hunt and peck. The Cabot Cheese shop, however, is excellent, and their staff is fantastic! The selection is great, the free samples are yummy, and the prices are decent. The other shops are overpriced touristy places, but have nice merchandise if you like that sort of stuff.
google avatar

Deb K.

Yelp
Year two of stopping and tasting the cheese. Here is a fun tip: they have delicious cheeses you can only get from the source here. Hello blocks Private Stock 30 month aged sharp. Get in my belly!! Also, the prices seem to be cheaper than in the grocery store.

Todd D.

Yelp
Definitely a great stop after visiting the gorge. The antique shop was massive, tons of unique items. The Cabot shop has lots of samples of cheese to try, stocked up on cheese. Other local items too at the various shops.

Ken M.

Yelp
We had stopped at the Quechee Gorge Village years ago but, were surprised by the changes during our last visit. The biggest change is the addition of Vermont Spirits Distillery. They make some great Maple and Whey (yes cheese by product) vodkas. Second, was that the train was actually running on this visit and our daughter loved it. It was $4/pp for two times around the property on the train (about a 10 minute ride). The ride operator really loves his job and making sure that all the kids are happy. We also rode the carousel ($2/pp) and the operator ran it an extra time for everyone since he had so many of the kids chanting "again!" The main shop is mostly Cabot Cheese. There is also an Antique mall and small toy museum on the property. You can easily spend a few hours here.
google avatar

Lucy W.

Yelp
I'm glad I'm not the only one that goes 'round and 'round the Cabot cheese sample table. That's about the only reason why I stop here on my way to Simon Pearce for a real meal...the cheeses (and other samples- maple syrup, wine, dips, etc) are delicious and plentiful; I think there were 15+ cheeses when I stopped there last time. The rest of the village sells a bunch of your usual touristy Vermont Country Store type stuff.
google avatar

Layla P.

Yelp
Yes, come here to fill up on cabot cheese samples, flavored syrups, and chip dip! We had a nice little snack at this stop. I also wandered through the antique stalls which I almost got lost in, they have crazy stuff. It's like peope just bring the contents of their garage and try to sell every little thing for 10 cents. There was one stall with all empty bottles, one box of old pipes, some old cameras, one huge box of personal letters and postcards from the fifties, and more! I only found actual use in the stalls of used books.
google avatar

Mary M.

Yelp
This place may not be close but it should be. the food was ok, the prices are reasonable, but our waitress was RUDE. This woman should not be working with the public she insulted two different parties while we were there, and even after I told her she insulted me she didn't apologize.
google avatar

Mitch C.

Yelp
Nice place to waste an hour or two, but it's mostly filled with junk and over priced junk at that.

Jen A.

Yelp
Love the shops. Especially the new alpaca store. I was in town for the balloon festival and couldn't help (as I always do) shopping in all of the stores. It's always our favorite location and the last stop we make on our way home.

Patrick S.

Yelp
Basically this is one huge tourist trap and the employees could try an be a little bit nicer, after all, the tourists make up about 99% of their business. But it does have good prices on maple syrup and every Cabot cheese you could imagine, so I'm willing to cut them a little slack.
