"One of the D.C. area’s leading Uyghur restaurants, Queen Ammanisa serves dishes including lamb kebabs, hearty, vegetable-laced rice platters, and meat-topped noodles (laghman). After sampling the laghman, blinchki, and lamb kebabs, one of the show’s guest reviewers said Queen Amannisa is a very special restaurant — the likes of which you won’t find anywhere else." - Lenore Adkins

First the Great! The food was incredible and as we ate we put this place on our must visit whenever in the DC Area list. Again, the food was incredible. The tastes (new and complex and not oily), the freshness the noodles OMG. I wish I could continue this review with the same delight. The but? We were the only people in the restaurant and not once while eating did our waiter check in or ask if we need more water (45 minutes). My passive aggressive move of getting up to go get the water pitcher should have been the clue for the wait staff?!? We'll give it one more chance and I can highly recommend this place for the food alone, .... But at this point if you have any abandonment issues don't go.

With a heavy heart, I cannot recommend this place. The food was average to bad and overpriced for the value. I was especially shocked at the lack of flavor in the lamb polow, and how much they skimped on the meat. There were a few sad fatty pieces of lamb (I understand fat is included in the traditional recipe), but the texture was just off. I got the sense that the rice had been sitting out for a while, and had been microwaved. The artful description mentioned that pomegranate seeds and raisins were optional, but it wasn't clear if theirs included those ingredients, nor were we asked about it. The poetic menu becomes comical when you realize how much the food does not live up to their romantic descriptions. Anyway, stick with the dry fried laghman; it's good, but not great. It also did not seem fresh to me, and was heavy on the oil. I could easily have ordered something better from a corner Asian joint. BUT...if you're going for novelty, then by all means, try this place. I've had Uyghur food before, so I know better exists. Overall, this place is relying too much on hype and its uniqueness to get by.

The best and the most authentic Uyghur restaurant in Virginia. I loved their chopped fires noodles and Turkish tea! Their dinning environment is amazingly good, quite with light classic musics playing in the background, very clean and relaxing. Their service is also very good and friendly. I highly recommend this place to others if you want to try middle eastern and Chinese cousins at the same time. They have different variety of food collections. I will defiantly come back to try more of their traditional dishes.

This is fanciest Uyghur restaurant that I have been to. They not only serve traditional Uyghur cuisine dishes, which is similar to classic Turkish cuisine and North Eastern Chinese cuisine food, but they also serve traditional Chinese and Turkish teas such as rose tea and Chinese green tea, which is a very healthy beverage option for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In addition, their service is very good. Out waiter was very helpful when it comes to explaining their menus. The owner is very friendly as well. I would defiantly come back often and visit. Highly recommend!

Good food but pretty sloow and bad service. It was not busy at all and the wait was still really long. The blinchiki was not crispy, it was soft. The dry-fried langhman was really good and a great portion. It had a little kick but nothing too spicy! I got it with the lamb and it was really good

Delicious! This is the second time we came. The first time we loved everything. The host made new recommendations and we literally loved it all. That's so rare these days. It's family owned. They are awesome.

Absolutely outstanding and unique restaurant. Very few true uyghur restaurants. A blend of Chinese, Central Asian, and Middle Eastern cuisine along the ancient Silk Road. Lovely ambiance and reasonable prices. A true delight in Crystal City. Don't know what the other reviewers were talking about.. Their spicy laghman and lamb polow were on point!!!

Expensive Ughur Street food. Lamb kebabs were small and very fatty. Beef "salad" is actually cold sliced (dry) beef...don't be expecting any veg with this dish. Braised meat noodles were ok aside from the fact that it was 85% noodles. Talk about a Carbo load!
