Where To Drink Margs That Give Back in Cincinnati | Eater

"There’s no better place to soak up sunshine than the two huge patios at Queen City Radio. Heck, even when it’s snowing in the winter, QCR is still a good bet. Located in a converted 1920s gas station and car service shop, the original garage doors still open up — helpful when it’s winter and QCR has their enclosed awning up. Rent the living room or upper patio for a private event, pre-game an FC Cincinnati game with an Astral Watermelon Burst Margarita, or get a schnitzel sando from local restaurant Lubecker slinging snacks in the on-site Airstream." - Alex Frost

Google
Great bar to visit before or after an FC Cincinnati game. They have several different beers on draft, and prices are competitive. For food, there is a German food truck parked in the patio area that is excellent! Only a block away from Washington Park.

Lissa M.

Google
Plenty of seating, staff/bartender was super nice and recommended us places to go eat (we were visiting Cincy for the first time). I liked that they are dog friendly both "indoors" and outdoors 👌!

Google
One of my favorite bars in the city. Great drink selection and plenty of seating. I've heard the food truck is really good, but i didn't try it while I was there

Sherry M

Google
Cool place to hang before an event. It gets super busy so get there early or be prepared to stand on any game day. Pretzel is awesome!!! For a fun time hanging with people who love their sports I highly recommend!

Danielle Fraley

Google
Fun time playing pool, drinking a delicious cider beer and hanging with friends. Great place to chill and hang with friends, even when it's raining. Food trucks available on site to go with drinks served at the bar.

Joy Duncan

Google
Great atmosphere for a pre-FCC game meet up. Lots of seating, good drink options, and the food truck is AWESOME! This is a "self-serve" situation and the drink line is separate from the food line.

Google
Whether after an FC game, or a night out at the theater, Q.C.R. ranks right up there with any local dive bar on the list. From the super cool and professional staff, to the musical acts that have regular jams every week, you can count on Q.C.R. to deliver a great vibe. That's why I imagine even people who finish attending a wedding reception, at the event space down the block, eventually gravitate to the spot for a night-cap TO the night-cap. There are food trucks present to offer some decent eats, but I haven't tried them yet. People say they make good munchies though! So, gather a few friends, or come solo for game night on Mondays, you'll find a chill spot to land.

Google
I love QCR. The beer selection is always good, the service is fast and friendly, and the seating is great. It does get busy on game days but it has a great energy and the stuff keeps up with the rush. Definitely a cool spot to check out!

Yelp
Chill spot to grab some beers. If you are looking for a great place to knock back a few drinks outside, QCR is a decent spot to hang during those more pleasant months of the year. Located on the edge of OTR near downtown, this bar is a convenient spot to meet up, with plenty of nearby parking. Bartenders are affable and quick to provide a pour. Queen City often offers food via truck and live events including music.

Yelp
Friendly staff with great drinks. They had fans inside that kept the place pretty cool. The overall vibe was great and there's parking right across the street. Highly recommend the trivia on Wednesday nights!

Yelp
I totally loved this laid back place. I was looking for a great place to do some day drinking and this place is totally it for me. The drinks were great. I had two of the boozy slushes, strawberry lemonade and orange creamsicle, both infused with vodka. Let me tell you, be careful. All I needed was a nap after these two drinks. I will definitely return. Next time, I may even try out some of their food. It's located to many other places and a short walk from several of Cincinnati's landmarks. Service is at the counter only, so be sure you can walk after indulging in a few of their drinks which are reasonably priced.

Yelp
QCR is a great outdoor bar that is perfect for pre-gaming before an FCC match. They have a decent beer selection, and a full bar for cocktails. It seemed they also had boozey slushies. The food truck has a limited menu, but that's ok because the pork tenderloin on the pretzel bun might be the best I've had.
google avatar

Yelp
Fun atmosphere and great staff. Great schnitzel sandwich! Fun place to pregame for GCC games.

Yelp
My wife and I loved the vibe of QCR so we decided to throw an event there. We could not be more disappointed in the way the staff handled the event and the way they've handled its aftermath. -We rented a part of the venue with a private bar, but were told unapologetically on our arrival that the bar wouldn't be tended during the party (I guess shame on me for assuming a bar at a... bar... would have a bartender for a private event). -We were treated poorly throughout the entire process. The only time they engaged with us was when Morgan (apparently the GM) told us how she "felt like s***" because she was so hung over. -We were offered zero service with our private party despite a bar crawl showing up at the bar and basically preventing anyone from being able to get to the main bar given how short-staffed they were. They did warn me about the crawl, but they did not prepare for it. -I politely asked the bar staff to put orders/tabs from our party on our primary tab, which they ignored and led to me not coming near our minimum (despite our partygoers spending money outside the tab). After all of this, they rung up my card for our party's $800 minimum and went ahead and tacked on 20% "service charge" to boot, ignoring that the environment they provided would've made it impossible to spend that much money. What was worst was after the party when I tried to voice my concerns to Erica, she dismissed every issue I had and got angry and accusatory towards me instead of trying to understand ("Why would you assume that a bar at a bar have a bartender?? You didn't even ask. That's on you." "If your friends put a drink on their own tab instead of yours, that's your fault"). She was smug and condescending. I did also speak with Cambria (apologies to her if misspelled), who was genuinely courteous about our experience. I'm not typically a complainer or a "Karen." Read my other reviews. There aren't many but they're all positive. I try to use Yelp to promote local businesses. But the way that management at QCR handled this was unprofessional and frustrating on our end. QCR can be a fun place to get a beer before an FC soccer game. But if you are considering it for anything beyond that, focus on someplace that is run by friendly, professional people that care about their patrons. In Cincy there are a lot of them. This place isn't one.

Yelp
Super cool place. It is open air seating. Love their slushy drinks, there's always something new to try. It gets packed, but the service is always great. One of our favorite go to places that never disappoints.

Yelp
Super dog-friendly, inside and out, and all the staff were very nice too! Nice variety of local beers on tap and great food from the Queen City Whip food truck parked permanently in the Biergarten. We had a delicious beef brisket and sirloin burger and a falafel burger, both came with tasty shoestring fries too.

Yelp
QCR is my favorite bar before and after COVID! Since they have a patio area and are able to put out the heaters, it is really nice to sit at the picnic tables and socially distance with your group. The bar is walk-up service, and the staff are fast and friendly. They cater to day drinkers, pedal wagon groups, and sometimes they invite food trucks in the summer time (since they don't have a kitchen, but this also means you can order food to be delivered to your table!). I am so excited to return here in the summer time, because they used to have field games such as cornhole set up for people to play. They are also dog and kid friendly! I can't say enough good things about QCR.
google avatar

Kara P.

Yelp
It's a cool place, but a little woke. If you want to be surrounded by pride flags come on in! The slushies are good. The staff is very nice!

Mary Margaret F.

Yelp
I waa considering attendiing Oktoberfest but was aporehensive about the 700K people anticipated, so I opted for a quick lunch at Queen City, ordering Schniitzel, kaese spaetzel, and sauerkraut. OMG! I was immediately transported to my childhood in Milwaukee, Yet another city known for good homemade German food. Both dishes were superb. Even the kraut was fantastic, not a vinegary, inedible mess like most. I left to attend a high school game nearby, but for those who are sports enthusiasts this seems like a great sports bar. Excellent food, reasonable prices. Recommend highlly.

Yelp
My friend brought me here for their slushies. They are good and very strong. They have a big patio area ans plenty of seating. I would recommend this bar.

Yelp
Love QCR. The bartenders are always super nice. Love the indoor/outdoor options. I've gotten a few things from the food truck and they all were delish. Love stopping in there for a few cocktails before a Music Hall event.

Yelp
Used to be a great bar in a great location in OTR, but toxic management and lazy service has made this place go downhill over the past year or so. I came in with friends and had a minor discrepancy -- 6 beers that we did not order were on our tab when we were closing out. Seems like a mutually small deal, so I brought it up with the bartender since they weren't very busy. It got escalated to the manager, all of whom acted like I was in the wrong. An extra $36 isn't the end of the world, but the way I was treated during the process was baffling. There are enough cool spots in OTR that I'll no longer waste my time with this place.
google avatar

Rachael S.

Yelp
I was visiting Cincinnati and had heard great things about this place but was sorely disappointed. The bartenders were rude and inattentive. The bar was grossly unclean. There are many bars in OTR that are much better if visiting Cincy.

Yelp
This is a very cool, and very versatile space. It converts easily from indoor to almost entirely outdoor in the warmer weather. There is a large seating area outside with fire outs and a parked food truck that is always there. Additionally, they have an indoor area with two floors and some sofas available. I've had drinks and a falafel sandwich from the food truck on visits and I am impressed with all the items I have tried. They have a seasonal rotating cocktail menu that is worth a look. Recently I tried hot cider with apple Crown Royal which was served with a cinnamon candy cane, very fun and tasty. I've not ordered the slushy drinks that they are so famous for, but it is certainly on my list. It's a great bar, and has a LOT of seating, add its proximity to Washington Park...and you've got a winner!
google avatar

Charlynn R.

Yelp
What a cool space! Plenty of cool seating inside and outside. They let you bring your pup too! Outside there were a few good trucks you can order at and they bring it to you when it's ready. I got an order of fries which were a generous helping and pretty tasty.

Yelp
Great addition to the Cincinnati area! Located near the Washington Park area. This set up reminds me of Neons. Very open with plenty of patio room seating, upstairs lounging, great selections of taps and beers, food (food truck next to the patio area). To get in, security does check IDs and search your bag. My friend and I had a seat at the bar area. I had the 50 West Doom Pedal (white ale) and Taft's Ale House Gourd to Death (Brown Ale) which both were very good. The food truck's menu is very simple. Just hamburgers, chili dogs, falafel, shakes and fries. Bathrooms are one stall. (sinks outside). I know I will return. This place is very laid back and has a great atmosphere!

Yelp
Food is fuckin delicious. I had the best beyond beef burger (plant based) and fries, and I must say it was the best I ever had. The bathrooms are clean af and I love clean bafrooms. Parking is trash af... but it's downtown so what do you expect. Y'all know how I feel about Parking *rolls eyes* HATE IT! But the drinks are cheap and the vibe is always chill. Oh... and DOGS ARE WELCOME (the four legged kind and the two legged ones too) Kids somehow are welcome too. I seen kids and babies at this indoor outdoor bar so idk if it's a bar still but whatever. *whispers* they have alcoholic slushees and *leans closer* cookies and cream milkshakes! Order the burger and fries and get back to me I inhaled mine and forgot so can I have a bite of yours?

Yelp
QCR impresses me! So I like a good outdoor seating/garden/patio space for a bar. I used to go to Neons just for that. After that closed, something was amiss in OTR for me. I was glad to see QCR, and the first time I tried this place was for a friend's 21st, and this place was PACKED. They were short staffed, so drinks were getting circulated to other tables, and we were getting drinks we didn't order. But, we still had a LOT of fun. A friend and I went last week on a Friday night. The weather was not too chilly, so perfect for a drink in the open space. They have a lot more beers on tap now. And there's a cute truck out for drinks, and another food truck to satiate your hunger. My friend got Easy Ale beer and I got a vodka tonic. The drink was good- not too icy, not excruciatingly strong, the right balance. The ambience is laid-back, there's music indoors, and you can play Jenga outside. The service is quick and most people are warm and really nice.

Yelp
Queen City Radio is an awesome venue! We most recently went here on St Patricks Day weekend, and they had some fun stuff going on like a DJ and a barbershop glitterifying peoples beards and hair for the holiday! They have a great selection of beers on tap as well as cans. Try out their alcoholic slushes, which are a great deal and yummy! They rotate flavors, but I tried the Tequila Strawberry version. The bartenders were super attentive and friendly. In the winter they close off part of the patio so there is still a large enough "indoor" space. There is usually a food truck outside, although I haven't tried it. Dog friendly as an added bonus!

Yelp
I'm pretty sure everyone's heard of this bar by now. They opened the right time and we're crazy busy from the beginning. The space is very beautiful and feels awesome to be in. It's clearly an old mechanics garage that got converted into a bar and has a nice huge outdoor area that used to be the parking lot. They were one of the first bars to start doing alcoholic slushy's and they have some interesting drink choices as well as the full slew of standard items you would expect at a modern bar. I've known quite a few people who have worked here and there are mixed reviews about the management but overall the staff is pretty good as they tend to hire industry veterans. I enjoy going here and really only have the complaint that it can be too busy at times. Good spot and worth going to especially if you want to impress someone from out of town or have a nice outdoor experience near a fire pit.

Yelp
As an outsider looking into Cincy - if they know anything it's how to create an amazing patio drinking atmosphere. Queen City Radio had fast, friendly service. Amazing cocktails (Hello frozen drinks - perfect for summer), fun games and outdoor activities for day drinking and an amazing food truck. The falafel was amazing. This is an obvious destination for bachelor/bachelorette parties - we saw many come and go as we sat for several hours tasting different beers they had on tap, taking jello shots (yes - they have jello shots!) and playing cornhole. If you need to make a list of places to day drink in Cincinnati - make sure this one is near the top!

Yelp
Cool little spot downtown that is welcoming to all including your dogs! They also have a food truck there to grab some food. Great outdoor area to sit and grab a beer. Great location to Washington Park parking if needed. Just around the corner is a great Ramon noodle place and another place that plays jazz on the corner.

Yelp
Finally visited QCR after driving past it countless times. Visited on a Sunday Funday after brunch and enjoyed the large wide open space with strong, unique and festive cocktails. Grabbed a seat at the bar, saw a listing bar specials plastered and hanging near the bar and choose the most seasonal drink, the Cranberry Vanilla Mule. The drink was poured strong, very sweat however I didn't enjoy eating the fresh cranberries. The place was busy but not crowded when I visited so, I was able to walk through the covered outdoor garden equipped with a fire pit and semi-permanent food truck. Lots of seating inside and out. In knowing that, I would return in the summer when I can take advantage of the patio and enjoy a beer or two. Cheers!
google avatar

Kate F.

Yelp
Liked the outside garden a lot. I don't think they have food, but Queen City Whip food truck was parked in garden with burgers and dogs. The bartender was not knowledgable on the beers after asking two bartenders and several questions. The price of the beer was crazy. My bottled beer was $8.50. My friends draft was $6. Some of the ladies I was with said the bathroom smelled awful. Net- like the outdoor seating. I would be fun in summer but maybe not in winter. The prices are high and the location is a bit further out from OTR that I doubt I'll frequent.

Katie F.

Yelp
I was there for a party and the staff was no where to be found. The party was in a private room which had a bar with no bartender and no servers to come in and check on guests for a bar order. The people attending the party had to make way to the main bar to get a drink and the bartenders didn't even ask if it was for the open bar tab for the party. People at the party ended up paying for their own drinks. DO NOT host a party here and expect any service. For $800 you get the use of a room and that's it! very di as I use to like to attend this place. will not patronize them again.

Jacqueline L.

Yelp
I've never been to an establishment with poorer customer service. We were there for a party and they did absolutely nothing to contribute to the success in any way at all. They were rude and unprepared. Additionally, behind the bar they didn't staff (after the expectation was to have a dedicated bartender for the event) there was a disgusting dusty fan - sitting in not only eye sight but reaching distance!! What's the point of having a party at a bar if you don't have a bartender in the bar you rented?? Just so disappointed with how little effort was made to make someone's party special. Don't waste your time or money on this place.
google avatar

Yelp
#1 favorite bar in all of Cincinnati. The clientele, the staff, the security, the space, and the drinks are all absolutely stellar. I literally cannot recommend this place higher. And possibly the best part? They are dog friendly (!) The patio is huge and welcoming and the permanent food truck (Queen City Whip) has honestly some of the best burgers in the city. Most people say they are surprised at the quality. Plus they are super supportive of the LBGT community, hosting drag shows regularly and donating part of the profits on some drinks to the local alliance chapter. Special shoutout to Brittney behind the bar with the cool dreads. She treats Whinnie (the corgi) like family!
google avatar

Allen W.

Yelp
I haven't spent a bunch of time here, but I definitely enjoy the vibe. Had a burger & beer out on the patio when I came by during the summer and both were on point. Dropped by on a cool fall evening and I was THRILLED to find out that they had hot apple cider and you could add your choice of alcohol. I went for Crown Royal Regal Apple - and all was right in the world.

Yelp
What a great place! Went here for lunch recently and loved the entire set-up. Beautiful flowers on the outside that are so cheery. We sat outside on the wooden tables with umbrellas keeping us mostly in the shade. Someone came around to get our drink order and we went to the food truck to order our food. Their burger called the Whip Classic was one of the best I've had!! It's described as 1/4 lb ground chuck + brisket + sirloin blend plus the usual condiments, but it makes me wish that I had one right now. Ordered a refreshing slushie type drink called Hawaiian Haze and it was delicious, too. There was corn hole for people to play and lots of room to sit, eat and drink. Big tv's if that what you're after. I would definitely go back there again.
google avatar

Yelp
I love this place because they know how to take care of their costumers. Chris thank you so much for everything ! It's our to go neighborhood bar!

Yelp
What can I say about QCR that hasn't already been said? It's a great summer hangout and it's not the worst when it's cold (they have heaters). Good beer selection, boozy slushes, food truck, dog friendly...it checks off all your boxes. It's the perfect stop for a Sunday Funday/bar hopping night. I haven't been here in a while but I'm sure nothing has changed. The bouncers can be a bit much. Sometimes they check IDs, sometimes they don't. Sometimes it's easy to find a table and sit for a while, sometimes it's not. It really all depends but I definitely recommend this place anytime you're hanging out in OTR.
google avatar

Sami B.

Yelp
There's no spot more perfect for a cocktail in the great outdoors. QCR holds the title of best beer garden in OTR, with a super wide can and draft beer selection to boot. They have fun seasonal cocktails and the mystery shot is always a good two dollar time. The food truck in the parking lot is good for a mouth watering burger and some chili cheese fries, and the bar staff is always fun, upbeat, and helpful.

Yelp
People are calling this the "Old Neons" the way Neon's used to be before everyone took it over and it's the truth. Not sure that the word on this hot spot is out yet and it feels nice to be able to sit out on their patio tables around the fire and I don't know if I am getting old or what - but I like having conversations where I can actually hear people and this is a great spot to catch up. We came on a Sunday afternoon to watch the Bengals game and the weather was practically narcotic. What I loved most was that this was a community gathering place for all people. Different races, ages, and everything in between all coming together. I also loved the break down of different seating areas. You can grab a cozy couch in the corner, a 4-top upstairs or a seat on the giant wooden community tables outside. Tons of options for any size group. I also want to note that I got the Queen City Whip burg and it was magical. Buttered bun, crispy edges seared to perfection. A classic burger done right. Now for some things that could use improvement -- as a non-beer drinker I was a little sad that this place didn't even give it a go on the cocktail menu. Not to mention that the bartender seemed annoyed at the thought of even bringing it up. I felt the service was very off putting. Especially for our first time here there was no-run down of the menu or excitement for what you do here. I may be nitpicking but I just hated that I had to pull every piece of information out of this person and I felt like I was bugging him. When we moved outside we flagged down a server and wanted to order another drink. We asked about the price of a bourbon we ordered at the bar prior. The bartender told me somewhere between $8-$10. And this time the server told us "Ugh I don't know like $5-$6?" This is drastically different! She said she was going to confirm and then never came back. 5 stars for the atmosphere, and the food was delicious. But 2 stars for the service. And in the end service is what keeps people coming back. The service this day (especially with it not being busy) tainted our experience so much that we left before the game ended and moved to another bar. I hope this isn't the case everyday, but it definitley seemed like some of the basics need a refresher. I am a fan, but I can't give more than 3 for now.

Yelp
The best thing I learned while I was here was that making a boozy milkshake is a true skill - and one that not everyone possesses. You see, I'm a fan of boozy milkshakes and I was mistaken when I thought QCRB served them (they serve sober milkshakes, but boozy slushies). My second mistake was trying to mix my own milkshake cocktail... wouldn't recommend that unless you're a bartender or have similar experience. Ha. I'm not sure what the cost of the beer is here, but the liquor I got was quite pricey, so I wouldn't recommend going that direction here. Every other part of my experience was positive. Loved the vibe of the whole place, including the huge patio space. I also tried out the food truck and had one of the most awesome burgers. It tasted pretty salty, but I was really into it and if I had gotten a beer, this would have been the perfect combo. I can't wait to go back here.
google avatar

Howard P.

Yelp
This is the best burger I've had in the city. The bun is like a dense buttery cloud. The toppings are generous and haphazardly placed in a way that feels purposefully careless. The meat is strongly spiced (arguably overspiced), really tender, great ratio vs toppings and bun. I mean the picture says it all, this burger is sooooo good. I had the chili cheese fries too which were really good and had a smoky flavor. The cheddar seems pretty high quality. It was a satisfying side and HUGE. Service is just ok and the drinks are decent. The frozen cocktails are good but sometimes too light on alcohol. Decent prices.

Yelp
Queen City is a really great space for drinking and eating food truck food and being entertained by live music and other events. Very cool..I never noticed it before as it is slightly off the beaten path in OTR..but I'm really happy to have discovered it. The night we were there was to be their 90s night. They were pretty much just setting up while we were there..it was still pretty early..but the elaborateness they were putting forth was pretty impressive. Everything was definitely a cool throw back..from decorations to drinks. Oh yea..and they have a frozen Surge alcoholic drink. Yes! How cool is that? Not sure if it was just on tap for 90s night or if they regularly serve it but regardless it's awesome! I could see myself hanging out here. The space is big and spacious and doesn't feel that crowded..even when it starts to get crowded. The staff seems cool and to really like their jobs. So yeah..very decent place I will definitely be checking out again in the future.

Yelp
This is a mixed review. I happened to be in OTR all day Saturday, so I came here once in the afternoon to hang out on the patio, then came BACK again that night around 11:30pm with a large group. If I was writing my review just off of the afternoon, it would have been 5 stars hands down. But based on my experience at night, that would have been 3 stars...So I'll stick with 4 stars. The atmosphere is amazing, very casual on the patio and indoors it feels like someone's living room off to the side but there's also industrial areas with tables for smaller groups. Big TV's to watch football or baseball. This is the largest outdoor patio I've seen in OTR, so if you have a large group, this is a great option! The afternoon experience: We came here to hang out on the outdoor patio and enjoy what little bit of sunshine we could before it starts getting cold. They let us bring our dog onto the patio and brought out a bowl of water for him. The service was great, they kept track of our tab and let us order food from the food truck. Beer selection is amazing, probably 20+ beers on tap, plus just as many in bottles or cans. Very small wine list, and no cocktail list (WHAT?? Get a cocktail list ASAP!). If you're with beer drinkers, this is definitely a good option. The Saturday night experience: The crowd was decidedly younger (lower 20's), and definitely rowdier. It took us over 20 minutes to get a drink because they only have the one bar on the inside, and the bartenders weren't paying much attention to who arrived when (I get that they were busy, but we kept getting passed up by pushier people that arrived after us). Still no cocktail list, so we stuck with beer. They need another bar on the outside, at least one serving canned beer or something. Also there were no cups for the water station, so there was no way to get water except to ask the bartenders. The bathroom was out of toilet paper and paper towels. Around midnight a drunk guy threw up all over the stairs to the seating area, so that was our cue to leave. As you can tell, a very different atmosphere at night time. Overall, I would come back to enjoy the patio on a sunny afternoon, but it's not my scene after 11pm. And they really need to start making CRAFT cocktails (no one wants to go to OTR and order a Jack and Coke)! UPDATE: They now have a craft cocktail list!

Yelp
This is my new favorite hangout in OTR! I'm so glad they made another Neon's type bar in OTR that is much nicer but had the indoor/outdoor combo with lots of space. They also have a food truck inside the beer garden called Queen City Whip, which has burgers, fries, milkshakes. I've been here twice now and each time the experience has been great. For starters, this is a great place for large crowds where you may actually want to sit or be able to have a conversation. There are plenty of tables and benches around. The facility looks similar to 16 bit with the giant garage doors, but is definitely larger in size. The crowds are mainly late 20s and 30s and there aren't a ton of people smoking like some of the outdoor bars in OTR/downtown, which is great. The music and vibes here are fun and mixed with oldies and modern music. The inside areas have a ton of large TVs so you can watch a game and it's not too loud that you can't heard one another talking. There are some people dancing around having a good time but it's not set up to have a dance floor. The beer selection is plentiful and they have an alcoholic slushies that are refreshing. They have a few wines and cocktails too to chose from. Their local breweries include 50 west, rhinegeist, taft's ale house, Braxton, Moerlein, and mad tree. One helpful tip is that they actually have bartenders that are walking around that you can order a drink from so you don't have to crowd around the bar. The bar area can be packed, but I can't say I've had to wait in line more than 2-3 mins to get a drink. Overall, I enjoy the atmosphere here and see myself coming back often, even when it gets chillier. I would think they'll have some cool heat lamps to turn on. I'd definitely come here to watch college football games on Saturday with some friends.

Yelp
Exactly what Cincinnati's yopro's have been looking for since Neon's closed! This is such a fun outdoor bar for the summer. There are plenty of tables, lots of outdoor sitting/standing space, a fire pit, food trucks, water station, and local beer on tap as well as a lot of other drinks options. I love the name and location, it really seems like it'll be a Cincy staple in no time. My only qualm is that the service is slow at the bar and of the 3+ times I have been there I have experienced them skipping over people and frustrating the patrons waiting to order drinks. You may want to get a couple drinks at a time because of the wait at the bar or flag down one of the servers walking around the tables outside. I am all about hanging out waiting at the bar but when the poor bar service of becomes a topic of conversation between strangers that is not a good sign...Maybe the longer they are open the better they will get, rooting for you QCR! But really once you get your drink it is smooth sailing at this place!! Never a dull night when you end up at Queen City Radio.

Yelp
Met up with a friend that was in town on a business trip. Just wanted to grab a beer or two and catch up. The space is simple but nothing special. I feel like it is probably a better experience during warm weather when the outdoor area can be used. I'll be sure to stop back in when it isn't winter. I will say the beer selection was great and the prices were friendly. A couple handfuls of draft beer options and a ton of can/bottle beers. Worth stopping in for a beer if you are in OTR.

Yelp
What is it about drinking outside that just makes beer taste better? Queen City Radio is a very cool spot with a lot of space to move around and a lot of outdoor seating, a rarity in OTR. It's fantastic to see redevelopment moving West along 12th. Just a short walk from Washington Park, the beer garden has plenty of room, and the Sunday afternoon we were there, a food truck was rolled up onto the patio delivering food right to tables. We went up to the main bar to get our first drinks and took a seat outside, but a server caught us before making a return trip to the bar letting us know we could order at the table and put it on our tab at the bar. (this seems like such a small thing, but so convenient) The bar itself features some large TVs (we were there for a football Sunday), a solid draft list, and cocktail accoutrements. With the massive garage doors opening up to the beer garden, it really had the feel of a bar you might find at a marina or beach, very open. To the right of the bar is a quieter seating area with couches, and we didn't check it out, but there is a second level overlooking the beer garden that looks to have even more seating. I'll be excited to make this place a regular spot, especially with fall weather coming!

Yelp
Ok, I'm not even half-way through my first beer here, and this place is awesome. Garage doors open, beer garden with nice thick-cut wood benches and plenty of room to sit or stand. There's a permanent food truck on site with burgers, fries, shakes, and falafel. Awesome chill spots inside in which to lounge. Decent mix of music and at appropriate volumes. Just a very cool vibe especially for the opening weekend! The beer garden is fenced in so it feels like a little oasis. Very cool!

Yelp
Giving this place 3 stars because last time I came I had the best froze ever and this time they said it was sold out but it wasn't there just wasn't enough made. Also they were so crowded it took like 25 min to get a beer.

Yelp
I walked into Queen City Radio, not knowing that I had just walked into a pre-Pride party. A QCR Pride towel was thrown over my shoulder by an employee and I was offered a complimentary shot... Alright, QCR, you've twisted my arm. QCR isn't a gay bar, it's always been self-described as "the people's bar," a place for everyone to go. They made it clear that they truly meant "everyone." Sometimes when a bar gets "too" popular, it can become unbearable to visit (don't make me give names). Queen City Radio, has seemingly become the coolest beer garden in OTR without ever reaching that level. The bourbon slushes are delicious. The staff is super friendly. The setup is simple and awesome. Admittedly, on a hot summer day... cram packed full of people, this place gets toasty (so be prepared for that). With the right weather and the right crew, this place is truly one of my perfect spots in the sun. Thanks for being awesome, QCR.

Yelp
My new favorite hangout spot in Cincy for the summer! I've been here twice in the past week LOL I love it just that much. I came last week for my birthday on Wednesday and it wasn't crowded at all which was nice for a quick happy hour with the girls. Today being a Friday though it was totally different but still a good vibe. I got the slushy's for four dollars on happy hour price! Amazing!! Hungry? No worries they have a food truck with really good bacon cheese fries. Tonight we also did $2 Jell-O shots for old time sake! The patio is Epic such a beautiful spot on a nice summer day. And Parking is pretty ample for the area. Another nice perk is that they are open until 2 AM pretty much every night. I can't wait to come back for another awesome night!

Yelp
Queen City Radio is great addition to the OTR bar scene, they have a huge outdoor patio with plenty of seating. I caught up with some girlfriends on Thursday night & with the chill in the air we sat by the fire pit to stay warm. When we arrived we ordered at the bar, not realizing they have staff to take your orders right from the fire pit area. Good selection of local & regional craft beer, as well as some of their own boozy shushie creations. There's also a food truck on site, Queen City which has great food, started by Elias of Eli's BBQ, I had a burger, while one friend had fries and another chili dog. Great burger, very tasty - note you order from staff for food, not from the food truck as we tried to walk up to the truck to order food, but it took a few minutes to come take our food order.
