"This unique property was once a working cruise ship that has been converted into a hotel, permanently docked in Dubai. The 13-deck ship features 447 refurbished hotel rooms and suites — including the Royal Suite with a large wood-lined private deck — restaurants, a spa, and a theater. History buffs can tour the ship's bridge and see what the cabins looked like in the 1960s before settling in for a leisurely afternoon tea complete with finger sandwiches, traditional cakes, and warm scones with clotted cream." - Travel + Leisure Editors

"The Queen Elizabeth 2, a historic ocean liner now docked at Port Rashid, Dubai, offers a unique hotel experience. Managed by Accor, the hotel is being renovated to bring new life to its classic design elements, including porthole windows and a planned pool. Guests can enjoy the Golden Lion pub and daily tours that share tales from the ship’s storied past." - Nicola Chilton

"The retired “Queen Elizabeth 2,” permanently moored in Mina Rashid, has debuted as a 224-room floating resort. After 39 years of transatlantic service, the 963-foot-long Queen Elizabeth 2 steamed into Mina Rashid in 2008 and embarked on a 10-year, on-again/off-again renovation. The project mimics the hotel transformation of the RMS Queen Mary, permanently stationed in Long Beach, California. The QE2’s staterooms are bright and modern, but retain some classic nautical features. QE2 hotel booking is open now, with standard rooms coming in under the AED700 mark (about US$190), so despite its regal reputation, Dubai’s floating Parent Trap is no rival to the Burj al Arab Jumeirah. Only five dining venues are presently open, including the Golden Lion pub, the topside Yacht Club, and, when you’re in the mood for a good Beef Wellington, the posh Queens Grill, once frequented by the ship’s royal namesake." - Matthew Phenix

Thoroughly enjoyed a four night stay in this grand, Clydebuilt ship. Huge room, absolutely spotless bed linen and fabulous shower room, great buffet breakfast too. We were well looked after in the dining room, particularly by a lovely young indian waitress Sejal Dhiwar. Such a wonderful, caring young lady, could not do enough to make you feel comfortable. We think she was fairly new onboard but she will be a great asset to the QE2 Hotel. A Young porter by the name of Bikram, from Nepal, was extremely helpful too. We also took the heritage Tour conducted by Chris, very informative. |All in all a very nice short stay on this iconic ship/hotel.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The room was clean and, while not very spacious, it felt cozy. The bed was exceptionally comfortable—one of the best I’ve had in a hotel. However, the dining experience fell short of expectations, as I’ve had better buffet options at a lower price point. The reception staff were welcoming, and the concierge (whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch) was especially helpful. All in all, it was a nice staycation.

Our second stay aboard the magnificent Queen Elizabeth 2 truly solidified its place as our go-to sanctuary. Just as it did when we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary, the QE2 once again exceeded our expectations, providing the perfect escape we needed to de-stress and simply breathe.||From the moment we arrived, we were met with warmth and genuine hospitality. Janvi at the front desk was an absolute ray of sunshine, welcoming us with a bright smile that instantly made us feel at ease.||||Dining at Lido was a delight, with every dish proving to be as tasty as we remembered. The culinary experience, coupled with the ship's unique ambiance, made each meal memorable.||||The QE2 isn't just a hotel; it's an experience that consistently delivers. We left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and already looking forward to our next visit. We will most definitely be back!

I had an amazing stay with the historical hotel Queen Elizabeth II, this place is very clean and quiet. Feeling great while roaming over the deck and feel the sunshine. All the hotel services are quite impressive. The only concern is about the swimming pool which is not in the open area and feeling suffocated. The staff is extremely welcoming and truly makes you feel at home. Special thanks to Ms. Sejal for her kindness and quick attention to any requests, her warm, friendly demeanor and exceptional service made our experience truly memorable. Thank you, Sejal...

Had a wonderful Sunday Roast aboard the QE2 with friends — a unique and memorable experience. The setting is full of charm and nostalgia, perfect for something different in Dubai. The roast was hearty and well-cooked: tender meats, crispy roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and rich gravy. Service was warm and attentive, with staff happy to share a bit of the ship’s history. The atmosphere could use a bit more energy, but overall it was a relaxing afternoon with great food in a truly iconic venue. Recommended!

Had a great couple of days here. We loved the experience of being on the QE2. The food was amazing, and the rooms were good. I think the issue is because of it location & it's not high-end luxury. People don't go there. Therefore, there's not the money to make it super luxurious. The pool needs updating. Overall we were very happy with our stay. How do you attract more visitors??

Staying at the Queen Elizabeth II Hotel has been one of the most unique and unforgettable experiences of my life. The hotel, located on a beautifully restored cruise liner, offers stunning rooms with incredible decor, countless museum exhibits, and several exquisite restaurants. Every corner of the ship has its own story and atmosphere — it’s easy to spend hours just exploring. The staff is extremely welcoming and truly makes you feel at home. Special thanks to Sajith for his kindness and quick attention to any requests — the service here is outstanding! I was initially concerned about feeling the ship move, but after spending a day here, I can confidently say that you don’t feel it at all. The views are breathtaking, and the peaceful vibe of the place is something you rarely find. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a truly special and memorable stay in Dubai!

There’s a truly homely and welcoming atmosphere here. The front desk team is outstanding—both friendly and professional. Check-in was smooth and efficient, with none of the frustrating system delays I often encounter in the city. Concierge and security were equally helpful, making the whole experience seamless. This place is perfect for a special escape—romantic getaways, families, academics needing a break, and even wives looking for a well-deserved timeout! I loved seeing a nice mix of locals and international guests. It’s a brilliantly run business that doesn’t seem to seek the spotlight, perhaps intentionally, but it’s clear that some very smart people are behind it. Highly recommended!
