337 14th St Oakland, CA 94612 ( near Webster St) "Queen Hippie Gypsy" is an oasis of positive vibes in the heart of Oakland, CA. I guess it was the warm glow of neon that caught my attention. Then the familiar scents of incense that got me to walk inside. Queen Hippie Gypsy is a small shop that offers metaphysical, spiritual, and botanica items. Wow, I haven't been in one of these shops in ages! I did buy some incense. The lady behind the counter had a detailed knowledge of everything she sold. She seemed to already know what I wanted to buy. She could tell me about every stick of incense I picked out. Lots of cool items! Things like incense, bath salts, oils, stones, and herbs. What an amazing place!

This shop is a magic shop for sure!!! I'll definitely be back. We bought some osmanthus flower essence and it was beautiful and overflowing with amazing smells.

When I walk into the store, the space makes me feel really calm. The kind owner though I forgot to ask what her name was, give me a thorough comprehensive guide on what to pick out for my girlfriend after I gave her a little bit of my background. I felt that my visit here with Queen Hippie Gypsy was not a coincidence. The value that I found in the store is higher than what I pay for. I highly recommend if you ever got a chance to visit Oakland, give this place a chance.

I came here before 2020 and I'm happy to see this "small" business is still standing in 2022. They have went through so much over the last couple of years with their business so I was happy to support and will return. I came in looking for some gifts to add to my best friend's Christmas gift bag. She's into crystals for meditation and also wanted incense. I got her four red Jasper chips, 2 clear quartz chips, an amethyst chip and what looked to be red cap amethyst. I got myself a bag of blue kyanite chips. The prices were reasonable. The chips were 4 for $1 and the blue kyanite bag was a little over $5. I was going back and forth between the different bath salts in the shop but decided to get I Am Peace for her. I don't know what's in it, but it smells nice, soft and light. There is also bath oils to go with it. It looks like it can be sold as a set, but I just got the salts. Next up are the incense. I had to get India Moon for myself. It's a scent I have smelled before but have never known the name of. I can't describe the scent, but it's just good. It smells nice and calm. Definitely something that I can burn in the house daily and it's a slow burn. It's my birthday month too and it is hard as heck to not buy something for myself so I'm glad I came across this scent. I had to go back and grab it. Next, I got the large incense in Fizzy Pop, which is a sweet scent that reminds you of soda pop or a sweet candy. It actually smells pretty good. Horizon is a nice refreshing scent, and Sage & Santo is a scent I wanted for myself but I put a limit on myself for what to buy myself haha. It really is hard! I just wanna say, I read the reviews on the incense and I'm glad I took it with a grain of salt. They have many amazing scents. I'm burning India Moon right now. It's a slow burn and it smells so good. When I started burning it my boyfriend poked his head up from bed and and asked if I lit anything because it smells good.

The energy here is warm, communal, and infectious. Very positive vibes! Black female-owned! So much wisdom! The ladies were super helpful, knowledgeable and glowing. Glowing is the best way to describe this wonderful store space and anyone in it! There's something for everyone. Everything is affordable-from the incenses, the crystals to essential oils. Come in with intentions and you will be guided. Come out of curiosity and leave with little more spiritual wisdom and self-knowledge. Treat your spiritual self.

Picked up some magic after going to the oakland museum's free sunday. My agency recommended this store in honor of black history & women's history months and I finally made it since I'm racing to get home after work normally as I take public transit. I love, love, love Queen Hippie Gypsy! Lilly and family are so welcoming, and sincere in their journey to wellness. Taking the drive to Oakland just got a little better because I get to stop by my favorite shop for some incense, some crystals, and some hugs from Lilly. I started following her in July on Instagram, and when I saw her address was 337, I took it as a sign of where I needed to go. If you know me, you know why. I went two weeks ago for an oracle card reading, and it was right, everything from the past forward, every deck she used was infused with light for me. If you're looking for a special gift for the spiritual woman or man in your life, stop by and check out Queen Hippie Gypsy. Lilly has classes too, from wrapping crystals, to finding your peace during the holidays and so much more. Parking is awful in this area; always has been, so just know you might have to walk a bit to get to the shop, but it's well worth it!

A couple years later and I am still loving Queen Hippie Gypsy, even more! My partners son (9 years old) just did the starseed healing crystals class. Tonight he was holding one of his stones to his forehead. I asked him what he was doing. He said, "I'm charging my third eye with my amethyst." He bathed in his salt bath he received from the class. He has all of his stones in his windowsill to charge them, next to his selenite. He wants to attend monthly! I can't wait to go to one of the adult classes!

Lovely store with many options. Owners were there and helped us make a selection and also gave us a free crystal gift. I loved supporting local business and finding a special holiday gift for my husband.

I have had the pleasure of coming to Queen Hippie Gypsy a few times and I must say my last visit was nothing short of amazing. I have to apologize I do not remember the lady who helped me name but her energy was beautiful. I told her why I was there and she guided me to purchase a protection kit for a friend of mine. I highly recommend all of my family and friends to come and enjoy the experience of not just the crystals, candles, bath salts, jewelry, herbs etc. but of the host of events and that are hosted here. I attended a concert that was intimate and soulful here. This place is such a vibe!

The ancestors would be so proud of you shopping here. It's the first black owned artisan crystal boutique here in Oakland. Queen has expanded her shop and added yoga, readings and specialty workshops to further increase your vibrations and inner peace. I love this sanctuary. I've been coming here for a year and continue to be satisfied every time with their selection of goods. The incense selection is amazing, one of a kind scents that are only found here. I also love the prayer/manifestation candles which are very powerful and affective when practiced correctly. There are always good & friendly vibes whenever I'm here! ASÉ! I came here a few months ago for herbs. It was my very first visit. They had a wide variety yet many were not in stock. Jars were labeled well with descriptions, benefits, etc. they're also reasonably priced. I found a few of the crystals to be over priced, I've shopped in many places from coast to coast. The incense wasn't my favorite, the scents threw me off. Hoping to return for the herbs only, hopefully they'll have more in stock.

This place has so many herbs I was searching for. I am in love!!! I found almost everything I needed. It's a beautiful shop with an amazing aura. I've been following Queen Hippie Gypsy on Instagram for years but finally went today. It is the most beautiful store in Oakland and the energy is so soothing and beautiful here. Lillie is a beautiful being and I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for stones, crystals, pendulums or anything to elevate your spiritual needs. I was looking today for a birthday present to compliment the tarot deck I gave my friend last year for her birthday and what I found exceeded my hopes. I drove up to Queen Hippie Gypsy this morning and was immediately welcomed in by Lily and her husband. I had my first Oracle reading done by Lily and she is amazing!! We laughed, we cried, and at the end of it i gained so much clarity. This is an amazing space and it's totally worth the visit. If you've been thinking about going, make some time and DO IT!! It's funny how places have a certain....vibe to them. Not a "this-place-feels-lifeless-who-would-ever-want-to-shop-here" vibe, no; Queen Hippie Gypsy doesn't have that sort of vibe. Queen Hippie Gypsy has a "this-place-is-so-warm-and-inviting-I-wish-I-could-come-here-everyday" sort of vibe. I've found that places that have that sort of vibe- that welcoming, warm sort of vibe- are very few and far between. So when I say that this place was absolutely welcoming and Lily and her husband were incredibly friendly and inviting, I really mean it. And, although I didn't hear about this place from Kehlani's instagram (like a lot of people have), I can understand why she'd choose this botanica to visit. Lily and her husband greeted my friend and I immediately upon entering the store. Looking around the shop, there was incense, candles, ritual baths and a TON of crystals. I could feel my hippie heart swell with excitement! My friend and I ended up buying a few things, but it was Lily's caring attitude and enthusiasm that sealed the deal for us. Lily was so kind and helpful as we perused her shop and asked her questions. Even as more people came in to shop themselves. Queen Hippie Gypsy is a hidden gem in downtown Oakland that, I hope, is here to stay. Go check it out- you won't regret it!

This place feels like home it's has a comfortable feeling as soon you walk in nice crystal selection and affordable compared to most shops in Oakland. Love the owners they are so welcoming and friendly

It is conveniently located, clean, and has friendly service. There is a gallery upstairs and even art on the walls as you go up the stairs. There is incense oils, bath and body products, wax melts, and a nice range of different crystals in different sizes. They have seasonal salts including a pumpkin spice one. Their summer one is on sale for half off. Readings are done in the back. I could somewhat hear people but couldn't see anyone so I wouldn't worry too much about privacy or interruption. I didn't get anything this visit but my friend and I got into a nice conversation with the man behind the counter. He said the owner will be hosting upcoming events and will be increasing the store hours soon. Currently, the store is only open on weekends but I look forward to seeing what will be coming next for this place.

Definitely the cutest little botanica I have ever been too in California! Oakland's first Black owned crystal botanica! How did I hear about this lovely place? From the famous Kehlani who posted it on her Instagram. LOL I am so happy I saw because it really is the most adorable and magical place in the Bay Area. From incense, to crystals, to sage bundles, smudge kits, bath and beauty products, and beautiful candles. You just feel right at home when you walk in! They also sell homemade bath salts and they even have a CBD infused one for healing. It's a small place but definitely fun for the whole family! I think the owner's child was in the shop and they were so cute and brought a pureness/cuteness to the shops vibes. The owners are so lovely and I hope to get to know them as I continue to shop there. The best thing I love about their shop is that they have smudge kits to cleanse your crystals and supplies before you leave if you are unable to do it at your home. They have thought about everything you need!!!

I walked in to go to a Speaker Series on art, spirituality, and free expression. To my surprise it was a Crystal Shop, with beautiful displays of work from artist throughout the bay. I am super excited to go back there

I LOVE this place! If you are looking for a wholesome experience this is the spot. I've been to Queen Hippie Gypsy probably seven or eight times now. Every time I come in seems like there's some sort of refreshments or aesthetic set up near the front. The staff and owner are so sweet and are always happy to answer any questions. One day, I brought a friend in and we were in the store probably for almost an hour, just shopping and learning through questions while browsing. I also love that they're a Black Owned family business. There are sooo many crystal and herb shops that are not owned by anyone black and I cannot tell you how nice it is to not be followed around a store or have someone preach what they don't practice. Queen has done something so beautiful for Oakland and I bless this business as it continues to flourish! I'm excited to attend one of the many events that take place here too. I was recommended this place by a friend of mine when telling her I was in need of new intention candles. I am always looking for Black owned stores and so naturally when it comes to looking for things like healing stones and intentional items (candles, etc.) I'd prefer (if possible) something more culturally in line. When I got there the owner was in the middle of a reading yet she still made it a point to introduce herself to us and explain a little about the store to us. Also when possible, she was able to check in on us, answer any questions we had, and make recommendations. This store is SUPER cute and has GREAT ENERGY! I came for intention candles that I could dress myself while in the store or at home however the ones offered there are already dressed and a tad pricey (in my opinion). I do however love how they have intentional bath salts to match which to me is a great idea. She also has a room full of herbs and guidelines for purposes/intentions and uses. I am definitely interested in that and decided I will do some research on my own then come back. I ended up purchasing some incense (which I must say smell great burning) and a pair of earrings. The owner talked to us about her vision for this place and how she plans to eventually have a dressing station and some other things. I will definitely be back for more.

I've been searching for my own tarot or oracle deck for years now. Many of the shops I popped into were over priced or unexpectedly closed for renovation. I remember my friend sent me Queen Hippie Gypsy's Instagram a while back and I was off to check it out. The environment was welcoming the staff was very helpful and friendly and they told me about their lovely free classes! I cannot wait to attend. I got a great and beautiful oracle deck and a complimentary rose quartz!

I absolutely love this store! First, they are so welcoming when you first walk in. They have so much to look at and they give you the time and space to browse. She also was available to listen to me when I needed help on a specific problem and made a great recommendation. Lastly, I needed a smudge stick and they reassured me that they personally know the source and the white sage was from a renewable source. I walked out feeling lighter and with the added bonus of smelling great (I was standing pretty close to incense...lol)

Came here for the first time yesterday for an event (donation-based) and I was accompanied by my toddler and fiancé. We were all instantly welcomed so warmly and Lilly even offered to let my child play downstairs while I participated in the event upstairs. They had a huge assortment of items. I purchased some sage and palo santo as well as my *first* spiritual bath salts, which I hear is powerful. But they have so many more goodies (incense, teas "Teas with Meaning"!, crystals, jewelry, card readings). I love that Lilly and her husband AND her three kids were all present.
