"Queen of Cream, an Atlanta-based ice cream company, closed its Poncey-Highland location at Plaza on Ponce after one year, due to the impacts of Covid-19 on retail. The owner, chef Cora Cotrim, will focus on expanding online, wholesale, and catering businesses. Originally opened last September between Insomnia Cookies and the Majestic diner on Cleburne Terrace, the location is now closed. The original location in the Old Fourth Ward was closed in December 2019. Queen of Cream uses dairy from a family-run farm in Waynesboro, Georgia, to create unique flavors and offers its ice creams in pints at markets throughout Atlanta." - Beth McKibben

In order to avoid the 30+ minute wait to get ice cream at Jeni's, we decided to head over to Queen of Cream. It was the best decision we made! The ice cream was creamier than Jeni's, the flavor choices were terrific (e.g., lavender honey), and there were only a few folks ahead of us in line. The woman scooping was friendly and helpful. I HIGHLY recommend this place if you need some 'brain freeze,' it's now our absolute favorite ice cream spot in the city.

This place is featured on Food Network so that's how my family and I heard about it. We have 5 people on our family and everyone got different flavors. Everyone LOVED their ice cream 💘! What a treat. We really wanted to try the peach 🍑 cobbler ice cream but that is featured in the summer but it was truely a pleasant suprise. We look forward to going back.

I love this place and their flavors. Lavender honeycomb and sprinkle cookie are excellent. Also love the chocolate. They always have vegan options too. Nice folks.

The lady let me taste various icecreams, she was so sweet! I chose cookies and cream and butter pecan .. both were outstanding! But i think the cookies and cream may be my favorite!

This place has really creative icecream flavors, 3 of which were vegan last time I visited. I HIGHLY recommend!

i’ve cream was delish, but the portion was extremely small for the price, would recommend if you’re gonna waste your money on a single scoop of ice cream that’s really not that special

I always enjoyed going to the old location. The employees are always sweet! The only dislike is the new location is hard to find parking and has a bit of a unappealing smell.

Fun little icecream shop with classic flavors as well as interesting gourmet flavors.
