Stopped by the Queen of Cream window on a hot Saturday, it's just off both the Beltline and the John Lewis Freedom Parkway trail. Very tempting cold treat.
There's plenty of flavors of both the dairy and vegan variety; I appreciate that the vegan flavors are more like ice cream and not just sorbet. We got some scoops and two milkshakes to enjoy while sitting on some nearby benches. Service was just one woman, so we did wait about 5ish minutes to order after the group ahead of us, and about 7ish minutes to get our ice creams. No problem with waiting, but something to keep in mind if you're impatient. Still friendly and helpful explaining the flavors.
The ice cream - it's pretty good. I got one scoop lavender honey and one scoop grasshopper. That lavender honey is GOOD - great honey flavor, creamy, and lavender was pleasant and rich without being overpowering. The grasshopper (vegan) was also quite good, plenty of the oreo and white chocolate chunks. My only gripe is the honey lavender was a little icy in the middle, like it was overchurned or had freezer burn. Also, the whipped cream on the milkshakes seemed a bit overwhipped - the texture was almost buttery, and made it a little hard to eat (although it wasn't sweet to offset the milkshake, which was nice a testament to its authenticity!)
Overall, Queen of Cream is a great stop if you've been walking a bunch and are looking for a cold treat. Maybe a couple of kinks to work out at this location, but it's well worth the price!
