The Best Bagels in New York City

"This modest Forest Hills bagel bakery does little to advertise itself, offering a broad range of cream cheeses and perhaps the city’s best garlic bagel. Apart from that, the shop offers a handful of stunt combinations, including a blueberry bagel with scallion cream cheese that isn’t half bad." - Robert Sietsema, Eater Staff

Recently moved to the area and opted to try based on the overall reviews. Within two bites of the breakfast burrito, both the eggs and meat tasted rancid. The avocado was extremely overripe, the eggs and meat tasted like they’d been cooked on a grill that hadn’t been cleaned in ages. On top of this, they advertise three eggs and I’d be surprised if it was more than one. The tater tots tasted like they’ve been fried in extremely old grease. 15 minutes after taking two bites got extremely ill. Highly disappointed and to charge $15 for a breakfast burrito of this quality is absurd! Save yourself a stomachache and check out Continental Luncheonette and Deli on Metropolitan, super fresh food for half the price!

My Uber eats order was about 40 minutes late and showed that they were still wrapping up. I called the first time and some dude told me that my order was out and the system was down, fine. Another 20 mins later i call again because my order still shows "wrapping up" and he tells me that my order is complete and they're waiting for a driver. The stories dont match. Pretty much they never marked the order as complete.. Not sure how this place is in person but when it comes to service over the phone this guy can definitely take a class on customer satisfaction and how to answer a phone instead of just saying "Yeah"

Ordered from via the “Egg Drop” restaurant and thought I was getting Korean style egg toast sandwiches but I just received a regular sandwich. The sandwich is good. French fries were advertised as shoestring but they are wedges & I received them as half crispy (the outside was crispy but inside was mushy). I also ordered tator tots and it was also the same as the fries. I look to order from them again as the sandwich was tasty but I think photos should reflect what the consumer will get.

Ordered earlier today for a later lunch: 2 ham and cheese sandwiches, lettuce tomato mayo on a hero. To my surprise I got a sandwhich on a flat bread, a piece of cheese, peice of ham, little to no mayo and a bunch of lettuce with one slice of tomato. For a total of $28 I expected a much more adequate sandwhich than this. To top it off salt and pepper were added when it wasn’t asked so the sandwhich was salty. Would recommend a change in menu or personnel making the food because for the price this was a scam unfortunately.

I placed and order for breakfast, first of all they took forever. I ordered two platters and one regular sandwich. They only sent me 1 platter. So I called the restaurant the man answer the phone then he told me to hold while he was talking to someone else. 5 mins later he’s like how can I help I explained I am missing another item, he put me on hold again then he took my phone number down and told me he will call me back because they were very busy and he never called back or followed up with my order. I would never again order from here

This is my second time ordering from Queens Bagels. It’s unfortunate they are so far from where I live. The sandwiches are delicious. I normally order a sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. In other delis, the bagels are hard to bite through when made a sandwich, but not here. Still soft and I can take a bite of the meat, egg and cheese. I took a chance and also ordered tater tots this time and a philly cheese steak. My suggestion for the tater tots is not to order it plain. Get a topping. On its own, it’s very bland. The philly cheese steak was missing the caramelized onions, which made it hard to enjoy the sandwich. Otherwise, it’s a long sandwich so order if you’ve got a big appetite. It is quite pricey ordering from here, but I like my bagel. Six items totaled to approximately $58. Of course, there are other delis that charge a lot less but it’s a nice splurge once in a while.

Really excellent bagels and cream cheese, and fantastic breakfast burritos. Highly recommended. I'm particularly partial to the pumpernickel, which are really fantastic and contain real rye seeds. They are the real deal.

Yelp
Round 3, but 2nd time ordering it through Uber Eats. I ordered the Turkey Reuben ($11 btwn Texas Toast) and Green Citrus ($6.50 for 16 oz) juice 4 ish pm and it was delivered 30 minutes later. Being a cold wintery day, the sandwich was warm and juice was cold. Nothing spilled or seeped as each item is appropriately wrapped. For the price of $20, including Uber Eats fees, it's the standard cost of eating and drinking catered foods. I'd consider this meal to be a snack.

Yelp
The square pizza and regular pizza slices are very delicious. I'm surprised that they have such great pizza given that they're a bagel shop. They offer a very wide variety of bagels and homemade cream cheese, egg salad, tuna salad, lobster, etc. Sooooo. good. Fresh fruits to make juice. The cashier and chef were very nice and friendly. They're open on Christmas and Christmas Eve, which I was shocked. The whole place is rather big with many tables, more than other historical bagel shops. VERY HAPPY!

Yelp
First time here. Ordered a Chicken Cutlet sandwich on a hero. They gave it to me on a roll and was charged for a hero. The food was very trashy and bland. I normally go to the one across the street and wanted to try this spot. Big mistake. Save your money. Go elsewhere.

Yelp
Trash service, mediocre food and over priced. Do not waste your time unless you are desperately in need.

Yelp
When I arrived there were few other Yelpers waiting for their orders. I also learned that I get a free coffee when you check in on Yelp. I ended up getting cold brew coffee. The coffee is self-served. I gave my other half the coffee and it was STRONG. This is a neighborhood gem that looks deceiving from the outside but they have an extensive menu and their portions are huge especially their sandwiches. The sandwiches are definitely worth getting because you get more than what you bargain for. It does not break the bank. The Cluckin Russian sandwich was good and very fresh even after it was made 90 minutes. The chicken and waffle sandwich hit the spot for me. It was definitely what I'd expected plus they provide one of the best local maple syrup. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I'd definitely return to try more sandwiches.

Yelp
Came on a Sunday around noon and parking was a bit hard to find on the street so I found a spot in the neighborhood about a block away. Check in for a free coffee which is good for their hot coffee options. I really wanted to try their lobster roll but they were sold out. They usually get their lobster on Thursdays and run out same day so if you're wanting to try that, the staff said to come early on Thursday. They get another shipment of lobster on Mondays which they usually sell out of on Tuesday. It was my first time there so I asked for recommendations, of which I decided to get the crispy chicken burrito. It was huuuge (arm size for reference lol). It was delicious too. It doesn't come precut so I asked for a knife to cut in half. They have a self serve coffee bar and the shop is a small but homey place to grab breakfast/lunch/brunch. There are two tables and a bar table inside as well as a few tables outside to eat. Can get a bit hot inside. Weekdays are tough for me to get over here to try their lobster roll but one day!!

Yelp
1st don't expect a clean or friendly experience. 2nd expect to pay monhatten prices. 3rd they'll bill you for Baker's dozen but only give you 12 bagels. ordered two, one dozen bags of bagels and four containers of cream cheese which was $101. When I asked if I can get something complimentary they rolled their eyes at me. When I picked up my order the lady notified me that they took it upon herself to mix the 2 dozen up even though they were two separate One dozen orders orders with specific bagels in each order. Never again, don't come here it's dirty, they're rude and apparently they don't know what a baker's dozen is even though it's labeled as Baker's dozen on the receipt.

Yelp
* Chorizo, egg and cheese on everything bagel * Large cold brew Paid around $12+ for both! I feel like the bagel portion can be bigger BUT the chorizo egg and cheese combo is really nice. It's also my first time trying chorizo in a bagel and I'm in love!

Yelp
WOW this is now my favorite bagel shop in all of NYC! * small but there's a few tables to sit both indoors and outdoors * was empty and chill at 11am on a monday * staff were nice * they have rainbow bagels! not the best but not bad either * AMAZING green smoothie, not too sweet * best lox bagel sandwich i've ever had, and i've had quite a few at "real" NYC bagel shops it's pretty far out of the way unless you're in Queens, but i'll try to stop by on the way to JFK on future trips!

Yelp
I came here for a quick brunch the other day and absolutely loved this place Pros: + Friendly - staff is very sweet and they do a great job making sure you're happy with what you're getting + Allow for substitutions with the smoothies if you have dietary restrictions + The chicken and waffles were a great brunch. I love that they also have a sandwich option which makes it much easier to eat! Cons: - Pricey - Limited Parking

Yelp
This place is great if you're looking for next level take out breakfast options in my opinion. Where else can you get breakfast burritos in the area? Our go tos - the El Jefe or California burrito. One time I tried a specialty bagel- french toast with nutella cream cheese. If you have sweet cravings like me then you'll enjoy this Pro tip- always order on the app ahead of time for the cooked stuff. This place is busy and the line is out the door sometimes. My husband also likes the lattes here. They have so many other specials for lunch/dinner that we will come back and try.

Yelp
Recapping from our last Elite Event episode: After rolling out from the Elite event our Queens CM so nicely planned, we headed home with a rather large shopping bag, a small bag of bagels and a medium sized smoothie. The phone order and pickup went just as smooth as the smoothie. So we had a hiccup 2 days ago when I ordered through the Yelp page which is powered by Grubhub. Before we left to go pickup, I received a message that the order was cancelled. Puzzled, but not to be deterred, I thought we would just go and order when we got there. Just 2 blocks from home, the deli called us and said that they sold out of lobster, which explained the cancellation. They were really good at communicating the mixup. 2 days later I was determined to get my food. Skipping the online ordering is key and so is communication. When we arrived, I found out the QBD Footlong Lobster roll was only $13.50 for a Half and $25 for the Full Length, as opposed to $17 & $31 when ordered online. Score some savings for calling direct! I can't think of any deli that serves a lobster roll, let alone one this good. I now see why I got such a big shopping bag. The Full actually comes in 2 foot long boxes and I was eager to open them. These sandwiches are HuGe! The lobster salad is spread on 4 pieces of Texas toast on a bed of red leaf lettuce and there isn't any added filler, just lobster meat and light mayo. Each half comes with a small cup of your choice of mac or potato salad or cole slaw. I was only disappointed that they didn't have my favorite onion bagel, but was satisfied with 2 everything bagels. And they were still warm when we got home! The bagels are plenty big as well. I broke out the ruler & scale and these bad boys come in at 4.5" diameter x 2.5" thick and weigh in at a whopping 9 oz, over 1/2 pound each! I can barely get my mouth around it. You can count on us returning for more of that QBD lobster roll and monster bagels!

Yelp
The service was fast and friendly and the prices are reasonable. I purchased an everything bagel from which I made a turkey sandwich. The bagel was fresh, oversized and the perfect combination of soft and crunchy. I'll be back to try more of their plentiful selection of food and beverage breakfast and lunch options. Street parking is available.
google avatar

Susana I.

Yelp
I've been to Queen's Bagel for breakfast twice and I enjoy the fast service I receive here. There's plenty of street parking nearby but it's conveniently placed on Metropolitan Ave. I usually get a bacon, egg, and cheese on either a bagel or a roll with orange juice and it comes out to $10.99. It's not the best bagel shop I've ever been to but it hits the spot.
google avatar

Alexa L.

Yelp
My husband came to pick up 2 sausage, egg and cheese on a toasted bagel this morning. Sadly, they did not have anymore everything bagels and we were told it'll be another hour for that. He ultimately decided on the wheat bagel (would not have been my alternate choice but I do have to say that it was not bad.) They had fried garlic on top. When he brought it back to the house it was still nice and warm. Everything came out to be about $14 and of course don't forget to check in! (Free coffee or a few bucks off!) The lady at the counter was friendly but soft spoken so he had to lean in to really hear. All in all it was a good experience !

Yelp
I've been craving a good loaded bagel with cream cheese and lox. Having ordered their bagel all the way a few times in person and loving it each time, I decided to get one delivered as it was snowing. What I received was beyond disappointing. This is definitely not the "bagel all the way" that I've ordered before. Not only is it just a few slice of lox shoddily out in a bagel, literally all the other ingredients that come with it aren't there. It was also not wrapped like it usually is and came in a thin tissue paper. If I had wanted a plain bagel with cream cheese and lox I would've ordered it and paid the cheaper price.

Yelp
Came here to order a breakfast sandwich and it was about 80 degrees in the dining room. When I asked them to turn on the A/C I was told they would not or could not. Also asked for Boars Head and they do not have so not sure what kind of deli meat they are using but likely skimping on their ingredients. I used to enjoy this place in the old location but the new location is not inviting and the service is poor.

Shondell P.

Yelp
I came to order a Fresh Pressed Juice and the man taking the order states he just cleaned his machine, so he is not making any juice. I ordered a Western Omelette with Turkey Bacon and they are charging $ 29.99. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DELI!!!

Steve S.

Yelp
Delivery fee, surcharge fee and some kind of other fee and that's not including tip. Multiple sandwiches and they don't write which is which. Not helpful when one has a gluten allergy. Was the food worth all that...NO

Paige M.

Yelp
Ordered from here for seamless delivery because I saw they have gluten free bagels. The bagel itself was good, good texture, not crumbly like other gf bagels, but literally so small. Like a child would still be hungry after eating it. It's an extra $1.50 for a gluten free bagel and it's like half the size of a normal bagel.

Yelp
Good mornings start with fresh bagels. And if you want to try a great spot, head to Queens Bagels in Forest Hills! I recently visited them and was shocked by how vast their menu is. They have all your breakfast and lunch needs right there from bagels to sandwiches to burritos, quesadillas, fresh-pressed juices and way, way more! We tried several items and were thrilled with each one! Everything tasted so fresh, flavorful and packed with tasty ingredients. Not much is plain there besides a plain bagel, but who wants that when you can get rainbow! We tried: *Specialty Rainbow Bagel loaded with lox, capers, onion, tomato and cream cheese *California Burrito: 3 scrambled egg whites, avocado, aged cheddar, turkey bacon, potatoes, roasted peppers, and caramelized onions *Strawberry-blueberry lemonade and Pineapple Iced Tea (made with real fruit on-site) Definitely give them a try and you won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Teresa M.

Yelp
A great find! It's a hidden gem! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is delicious! The prices reflects the size of the meal. The coffee is self served but great and looking forward to trying something else out!
google avatar

Katrina W.

Yelp
We came here because of a Yelp promotion and got the Jalapeno Bacon Grilled Cheese and Philly Cheesesteak. Both were absolutely HUGEE. Could make 4 meals out of it total. I really enjoyed the grilled cheese and all the items that it was loaded with. I will say the food was really heavy so it doesn't leave you feeling the best lol but definitely a nice comfort food. I'll have to come back to try their bagels!
google avatar

Win C.

Yelp
Disappointed. I know a bagel shop isn't the first place you think of getting a lobster roll, but with all the reviews about their lobster roll, I wanted to like it. The lobster meat is minced and I felt like the meat tasted like frozen meat and not fresh. It was honestly a bit on the dry side too.

B C.

Yelp
Excellent bagels and bagel sandwiches. Cold brew is sometimes bitter. Staff is very nice. It is a big space, pretty austere and they need better AC... but I understand the challenge because it is a big space. I hope they do well.

Yelp
Salmon lox is delicious as always, ive ordered it 3 times on different days and i will again in the future. Salmon is pretty thick enough, capers, onions, tomatoes and cream cheese has good amount too, the bagel itself is good as well. Philadelphia cheesesteak is my other go to! we have ordered all different flavors and their all good. Their juices are also worth it. and also im happy that they do groupon that gives me some discount and i keep coming back.

Yelp
BLUF: Premium-priced sandwiches that are often large enough for two servings. A selection of very good fruit smoothies and shakes. Food and drinks we've had include: - "QBD Foot Long Lobster Roll": Good (3.5 of 5). $25 (in-person / by phone), as of January 2022. A step below Luke's Lobster. The roll we received had a lobster mince, for a mix of other flavors instead of only lobster. The lobster roll comes on two pieces of Texas Toast, so it is practically two servings. Please note there may be supply chain and price fluctuation issues with lobster. Call ahead to see if they have it, and be understanding if they don't. - "QBD Breakfast Special Burrito": Very Good (4 of 5). Large and delicious, and more than enough to fill two people. - Reuben Sandwich (with 1/2 lb Pastrami): Very Good (4.5 of 5). $18.75. More compact than expected, but delicious and heavy enough for two people -- if you're willing to share. - "Mango Tango" smoothie: Very Good (4 of 5): although more citrus than mango in flavor. - "Tropical Paradise" juice: Very Good (4 of 5): thick for a blended juice. Other: - Online prices may be outdated. - QBD is currently take-out only during the Covid-19 pandemic. I like how QBD completely wrap their blended juices and smoothies when taken to go, such that there's no chance of spillage or leakage. - More pictures here: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/elite-week-juicing-up-with-our-new-badges-at-queens-bagels-queens?userid=bwuT96zFlpcpqOgi78W4Vw

Yelp
It's elite week!!!! Yay! I got invited to come to Queens Bagels and enjoy a smoothie or pressed juice of my choice. Firstly I did want to arrive to this location before a certain time to avoid traffic and the possibility of not getting parking. I went about 11am and I got parking directly in front which was great! There was a few people in front of me however it gave me sometime to scan the menu and make a decision on what I wanted to eat along with my pressed juice. I was undecided since they have so much to choose from however I did choose a vegan meal! I ordered a VEGAN sausage, egg & cheese on an everything bagel. I did want to order the lobster, avocado Munster however I decided on this instead. I know huge difference, I did have an issue with the eggs as I believe they were not vegan usually it's a folded egg and the cheese did not appear to be vegan also I did call and was told for sure the sausage was vegan however there's nothing that could be done at that point so on my next visit I have to double check. This error for me is a big deal since Its not what I ordered I am a pescatarian getting away from cheese however this would have not worked for a VEGAN at all! Must be careful! For my pressed juice I ordered a Tropical fresh which was the fruity flavor out of all of the pressed juices. The others were more on the green side but mine was tasty!!! There were many Elite yelpers snapping photos and placing orders so I knew it would take a little while before I actually got my food. Which I was okay with after maybe 10 minutes my order was ready. As they were making my food they did call out for me to let me know they did not have anymore everything bagels bummer.. There was not many bagels to choose from so I chose a plain for me it was doughy, very thick the sandwich in itself was very bland.

Yelp
Juan the owner serves you a sandwich that's beautiful how do you like it with what toppings from start to finish My selection was pastrami on onion bagels sliced spicy mustard top and bottom toasted cut in half individually wrapped all my selections were just perfect I swear the bag weighed 1 kg the pastrami was definitely restaurant quality the bagel was outrageously great I came to 14 miles from New York City to try it out and I was not disappointed at all this is a terrific place everything is fresh everything is wonderful it is five star restaurant Quality preparation even the price was very fair for the quality that you get to see my photos and enjoy five stars plus plus plus You get a choice of side orders I took the coleslaw which is beautiful fresh made crispy a true wonder for the vegetarian side

Yelp
I had one of the best bagels of my life today at Queens Bagels & Delicatessen. The French Toast Bagel. Dominique Ansel Bakery created the Cronut...so that Queens Bagels could blow them out of the water (bagel pun very much intended) with their harmony of American breakfast delights: the French Toast Bagel. Powdered sugar kisses the top of a pull apart cinnamon raisin bagel with a slight bagel-y chew and a bottom layer of flavorful sticky cinnamon sugar. Paired with my choice of plain cream cheese, my first bite was akin to experiencing self-transcendence. The two men working at the front were angelically friendly, only adding to the divine quality of bagelry. Count me in as a lifelong customer.

Yelp
Who says that I'm a Yelp Elite? I am! I went and ate there today all by myself for breakfast on a cold Friday morning before going to work to go to my very first Yelp Elite Event feeling really happy, excited and hyped! I got the lox spread and sunrise smoothie! Again, both tasted really good and yummy! The service there was also really amazing and friendly! I couldn't agree more! Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again anytime/next time! :)

Yelp
Okay so this place is definitely 5 stars, there are soooo many options. We had 2 chicken breakfast burritos. I also bought the rainbow bagel with scallion cream cheese. I kept seeing it everywhere so I had to get it. It was delicious as well. The burrito was the best part though. One of the best breakfast burritos I've had hands down. Me and my boyfriend will definitely come here again. The coffee is also bomb which is a plus, and that's when I was sold. I'm very picky with my coffee. This place is also on my way to work so I'll definitely be coming here a lot.

Yelp
Solid and filling breakfast. I ordered through Yelp for a delivery. Got the Everything bagel with 2 eggs, bacon and cheddar cheese. The bagel was fresh and tasty and so were the bacon and eggs. Also, the bacon was well cooked the way i like it. Btw the bagel was HUGE lol unless you have a big appetite you may not be able to finish the whole thing. I got full after only eating half. Staff seems pretty nice. I haven't visited in person, but i called to inquire about delivery before ordering and the young man who answered the phone was professional and very pleasant!

Yelp
Our friends recommended us the lobster rolls from Queens Bagels & Delicatessen, which is one of the best in the neighborhood. We missed the season last year and finally got to try it this year. The decor is simple & clean with brilliant blue and the ambiance is cozy. The outdoor seating was not available during COVID-19. The staff was friendly, attentive and served everything quickly. We called to order 2 lobster rolls in advance and picked up at assigned time. We were super surprised when we received our orders that the lobster rolls were one foot long with plenty of lobster meat and a reasonable price of $25 for 2. Moreover, it was delicious and flavorful. It was an amazingly great experience and we can't wait to share it with our friends. We will definitely come back for their bagel next time.

Yelp
I attended this deli this morning to take part in the Yelp Event. It's a nice deli with an extensive menu. I received my free green juice. I chose the Kale Cleanse and it was delicious. I also ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese. The bagel was so soft and delicious. I enjoyed my breakfast and I will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu. Thank you Yelp for having this event for the Elites! I will tell everyone I know about this nice deli.

Yelp
I've been here a few times now and sampled a little bit of almost everything (hoping to eat my way through more of the menu soon) but while I love the vibes of the employees who are all around very cool people, I can't say I'm really sold on the food. To start with positives, the adult grilled cheese is amazing and I've been thinking about it since the day I got it (which was weeks ago now). The bread is fantastic (I think it's brioche) and it's melt in your mouth and buttery and pairs perfectly with anything that goes inside. The Instagram page has really stunning photos and I gotta say the food always has perfect cross sections, perfect for Instagram or other food sharing platforms so they deliver on aesthetics. The Mac and cheese is very much a miss for me. I've tried the regular five cheese and the truffle one and sadly neither met my expectations. The 5 cheese one, aside from the sheer number of cheeses used is really quite flavorless and still it was very dry and barely any sauce. As for the truffle Mac which is five dollars more than the regular, there's barely any truffle or truffle flavor in the sauce or on top. It definitely was significantly better than the regular as it did have a very visible cheese sauce and some cheese pull, but where is the truffle flavor? As for the egg and cheese bagel, it had no seasoning whatsoever aside from black pepper and very bland. The tuna melt was good and had a smoky flavor to it and it came with a small side. Admittedly I wouldn't come back after having tried so many things and having been disappointed but as of right now (12/19/21) they're hosting 12 days of deals and so I'm taking this as my opportunity to find something that wows me. I think they have a ton of promise as their menu is wildly extensive (which is something I personally love). I think with prioritizing more seasoning and spices that really emphasize flavor, the food would be a lot better for it.

Yelp
Bagel bagel bagel!!! Absolutely thrilled to find this place thanks to Glenn V my fellow yelperrrr. Every New Yorker can probably relate to an extent with my cravings for a bagel. Relatively a new place, it's spacious, clean, and affordable. Majority of the places are not selling rainbow bagels but luckily this place does (I was crazy enough to call at 7am sharp to find out if they have rainbow bagels lol). The area has plenty of metered parking spots and non-metered street parking within the residential area. Ordered 6 bagels all lightly toasted: 1 rainbow w/2 eggs and butter, 3 sesame bagels w/butter, 1 plain bagel w/butter, and 1 sesame bagel w/cream cheese= total $16.25. Suppose to be a 4.5 star review as I'm taking points off for a burnt bagel. I'm all about the rainbow bagel which was good in my opinion compared to other places. They sell breakfast sandwiches and smoothies as well (you get a card to track your purchases in order to get a free deal after a certain number of visits). After checkout, I was given a 15% coupon that can be redeemed as many times toward future purchases until April 30th 2020. I have yet to try other menu items soon :)

Yelp
Let me start out by saying the ABR Grilled Cheese is one of the most fantastic grilled cheeses I have ever had the please of eating. The sandwich is stuffed with an insane amount of cheese, chicken, and applewood bacon between two giant slices of Texas toast! I am genuinely salivating just thinking about it. The reason I took off one star is because honestly speaking, their bagel missed the mark for me. Their slogan is "Not Just Bagels" however, I fear they may be neglecting the bagels as they perfect the other insane and delicious items on their menu. The poppy seed bagel was sparse with the poppy seed and the texture was off. It actually seemed more like I was eating a sandwich on a deli roll rather than a bagel. That being said, the sandwich wasn't bad, it just didn't blow my mind the way that grilled cheese did. This is definitely a solid spot and I would totally visit all the time if I still lived in Queens! IG: @newyorkcityfoodie

Yelp
I ordered a toasted plain bagel with tofu cream cheese. The bagel was really good--slightly sweet and with the perfect amount of chew. The tofu cream cheese was alright. It was very slippery and just tofu cream cheese. Service was pretty quick and the staff was friendly.

Yelp
My usual go to place is "Continental Lunchonette & Deli", but I said, let me give this place a try. 1. The counter person on this day wasn't to friendly. Employees also looked miserable... 2. I asked for a menu so I can scan the QR bar code, he pointed to the menu on the wall, as if I was supposed to go behind the counter and scan the menu.. WTF, Who does that? 3. I ordered a Chicken Cordon Bleu hero, way too much bread, not enough chicken, way too much lettuce to fill up the huge hero bread. 4. The self made coffee was blah... First impressions is all I needed to for me to stay loyal to Continental Lunchonette & Deli. Best of luck.. Roberto

Yelp
I loved all the Queens pics, posters & memorabilia in the deli. Lots of menus so you could see the options before ordering. On to the food...I ordered a mango tango smoothie & a spicy grilled cheese. Smoothie was delicious and so fresh & even came with a Yelp Elite koozie! Spicy grilled cheese was delicious and more filling than I expected. This was my first time in QBD but it definitely won't be my last!

Yelp
This place is great! So many items on the menu and I'm trying most all of them! Their lobster rolls are so good and jammed full of meat. For the price, it can't be beat. It's one of the best I've had. This morning for breakfast, I ordered the Crispy Chicken Breakfast Burrito to try and I was blown away by how much they packed in there. It was heavy and delicious! The crispy Chicken and the homestyle potatoes went wonderfully together. My daughter loves their rainbow Bagels with cream cheese. It's rare that they have any left usually by the time I go, but we lucked out this weekend! My husband got the California Burrito and said it was really good and filling, so I wasn't able to get a bite. But all in all, another great meal. They are also part of the Too Good To Go app which helps reduce food waste at the end of the day. They give you a goodie bag of random items left at the end of the day for a small fee thru the app which helps their bottom line and stops good food from going into the trash. Last time I received a super delicious and big Walnut banana Muffin and 4 different Salads. The egg, Chicken, Tuna and potato Salads were so good! They were the perfect portion sizes on my Bagels, which was surprising since they looked small in the containers but it was rather filling. Check them out! You will not be disappointed

Yelp
If you're in a rush and need a breakfast sandwich or bagel, this is a decent spot. Otherwise, it's way too expensive for what it is, and you're better off going to a cart or bodega with a deli. My partner & I ordered a bacon, egg & cheese on a roll and an everything bagel with egg, Turkey bacon and avocado for pick-up; it came out to $18.40. Not worth it imo.

Yelp
Yesterday's morning walk revealed the grand opening of Queens Bagel & Delicatessen. The local snoops that shop, dine and haunt Metro had little forewarning and 'PooF' an early eatery appears whose main emphasis is on New Yorks most beloved morning bread, the bagel and it was upon all of us in an instant. (No offence my French croissant wielding friends.) Walking in I see Rosie from the pharmacy and Eric from -- wherever Eric is from, leaning and pointing at the wired baskets as if picking out exotic saltwater fish for his home fish tank. Both were excited and Eric had already eaten there and swore the Ruben was not just brisket but seasoned in a manner like "da good spots in da city do it." Eric knows food very well, well enough that when he went to the bathroom I felt it my responsibility to voluntarily take a bite of his Grilled Cheese and unsuccessfully hide my marks with the pickle. The crunch of the buttery bread and the milky subtle bite of a a few cheeses (I presume) registered a memory and produced a fond grin of yummy satisfaction. I immediately wanted more than that subtle bite, I wanted far more of a spicy bite so I opted for the jalapeno cream cheese spread smeared upon my Everything bagel. It was quite a wonderful surprise to see the bagel man flick a dollop prior to the smear, then the spread which resulted in a thick and generously balanced spread on proper sized bagel. The doe giants with cream cheese spread as thick as three stacked business cards dont thrill me, not to mention getting rammed for $3.50+. My bagel was two and a quarter. Matt came over to chat, he introduced himself in such a gentlemanly manner and offered a coffee to taste. We all spent a moment together but he was running and so were we but his representation and his explanations of a few menu items left me with more than sufficient reason to return and to bid all my readers and friends a fondly recommendation.

Yelp
Definitely a great local spot for your breakfast needs. Got the fried chicken breakfast burrito... goes very well with the salsa provided. The chicken could be a bit more crispy, but it was super filling and satisfied all the elements of a breakfast craving... eggs, meat, potatoes. The tater tots were surprisingly good. They didn't look too good coming out the the styrofoam carton, but they were crisp and tasty.

Yelp
This might be one of my favorite delis yet. LARGE portion sizes, REASONABLE prices, and DELICIOUS food. I can't wait to be back to try more menu items. A lot of the popular items were already sold out when we got there a little after 1PM on a Sunday, but I'm not upset at all. Everything we got was exceptional. Mac & Cheese - 6/5 WOW. When I say I'm craving mac & cheese, this is exactly what I want. The large carton of creamy shell pasta with the lightly browned cheese on top was everything I imagined and more. Chicken Cordon Bleu Hero - 5/5 I wasn't feeling too crazy hungry so I got the half-sized portion. Let me tell you, even the half hero was a feast. It was absolutely loaded with flavorful ham and breaded chicken with a nice layer of cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and mayo. Yum. To top it all off, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. All around great vibes and great food for sure.

Yelp
This place was near an another business I came to the area for and I decided a tasty bagel or two should come home with me. The staff was a little gruff, and the place was a bit disheveled (looks like its transitioning ownership or something). The prices varied for the varieties and I got one from each category. The everything was tasty (a little salty tho) and the French toast was not as memorable as I other versions I've tried in the past. For the price I expected more. despite the road bumps, they make a decent bagel, so if Im in need, I'll pick up a few. If the are dry with you, still leave a tip, they are really cranking out the orders here.

Yelp
Close Bagel shop to where my boyfriend and I were staying. Walked in and ordered two bagel sandwhiches (bacon egg and cheese on everything bagel and a lox with cream cheese on everything bagel) and a large coffee. Great, fast service and even got a discount sent to my phone the next day! Would come back for a local bagel fix
