4 Openings to Know About in Charlotte, North Carolina - Eater Carolinas

"A little turquoise building in the Belmont neighborhood now boasts one of the Queen City’s newest coffee shops, aptly called Queens Coffee Bar. Stop in for locally crafted UpDog kombucha on tap, plus coffees (Farmers First Coffee Company beans are featured), teas, and smoothies. The selection includes baked goods and specialty cakes, as well as a holiday drink special: the Christmas mocha latte. A modest selection of heartier options includes soups and small casseroles." - Katie Toussaint

Let's start with the warm smile and pleasant hello that greeted me as I entered Queens Coffee Bar. The aromatic aroma of fresh coffee filled the air and sent my senses in to overdrive as I thought of the endless possibilities of having a cup of coffee. As I glanced around the room my eyes locked onto cake displays and biscuits and what appeared to be other edible delights. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming cozy and quaint and very romantic.

Sitting here now working on law school applications and I’m in love with the place. It’s conveniently close to my job and it’s kind of secluded so there’s not much noise or traffic. The menu is full of goodies: coffee, tea, smoothies, pastries — you name it. The staff is friendly, the prices are perfect, and the atmosphere is delightful. Will be coming here again!

Great black-owned business. They have lovely events. It's a nice spacious coffee shop that serves more than just coffee (alcohol, good, called goods).

Much more open and welcoming inside than it appears. Has baked goods and light fare (soup, quiche, pasta, mac and cheese.) And of course coffee.

This is hidden gem in the neighborhood. The owner is always so sweet and it's our favorite spot for iced coffee and breakfast. The avocado toast and Quiches are amazing. I also love how they support all kinds of local groups and have a lot information on community building initiatives. Awesome place

This is a fantastic addition to the Belmont neighborhood and fits perfectly in our eclectic and diverse community. The coffee is great and they have a variety of other beverage options, along with snacks and baked items. The place is unassuming and could use some “warmth” but is certainly inviting and spacious. The service is awesome!

Queens Coffee bar is a chill spot to relax and get work done. It has a local mom-and-pop feel that is very inviting. There are many options for seating: high top chairs with a wall table, standard table and chairs, couch in the library area, and comfy chairs with optional foot rests in the nook by the viewing window. One of my favorite parts (besides it being black owned) was getting to try the GLUTEN FREE chocolate cupcake. Simply divine. I will definitely be back.
