Sierra gave us a fantastic educational walking tour through Queens. We were introduced to amazing street food from many different cultures, and our guide Sierra was so informed about the history of the cultures and foods. A great tour!

This was our 2nd tour with Culinary Backstreets. Highly recommend it! It’s a full-day experience and you should arrive hungry. Our guide in Flushing, Sierra, was FANTASTIC. They took us to places we literally never would have found or known about—and we live in NYC. Sierra gave us so much cool information about Queens history and they helped us discover delicious food in a vibrant neighborhood!

We took the Queens tour with Sierra Spingarn. They were simply amazing in their knowledge of ingredients in each dish in each cuisine we tasted over a 6 hour period. They were engaged and present with each of our 6 person party; we never felt rushed in any way. We’ve done many food tours all over the world. We think Sierra is the best we’ve had.

The tour guide(s) (Sierra) were very engaging and nice! They always made sure our food was always prepared pre entry to the restaurant and offered lots of options. In addition to the amazing food, the tour guide(s) provided us with a great amount of context relating to the borough of Queens, specifically Corona and Jackson Heights. We had a great conclusion to our tour as we enjoyed Indian chai and shared our favorite moments. I Highly recommend their services.

Sierra was an amazing tour guide! We had a wonderful time trying different foods and drinks from neighborhood businesses, including ones that I’ve passed by many times but haven’t stopped it. Sierra was so knowledgeable about all the food we ate and clearly passionate about what she’s doing. Would highly recommend this tour to locals and visitors alike!

We had a fantastic food tour of Flushing with Sierra. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the food, culture and history of the neighborhood and we learned so much. But it was super fun and the 5 hours flew by. We tried about 10 different dishes during the tour and everything was DELICIOUS! I can’t wait to sign up for another tour, it was a great way to spend a Saturday.

We had a great tour with Sierra yesterday! Everything from start to finish was excellent. Outstanding, and diverse, foods from various parts of China and Taiwan. Sierra was able to combine a fascinating waking tour full of local history and culture with (many!) well-paced “snacks” along the way. Having someone guide our group through the food courts and tiny windows all with such amazing food was a great experience. Kudos to Sierra. It was a memorable day. Highly recommend!
