What an absolute gem of a museum. Fascinating exhibitions including ever-changing community displays. Staff and volunteers were all so friendly and the gift shop area was stacked with interesting books.

It was an amazing visit. The museum is quite small and free to enter; it only took me about an hour to go through the four exhibition rooms (if I remember correctly😅). I learned quite a few things about queer history that I hadn't previously known about—what particularly captured my interest was the repeal of Section 28 and a queer Muslim movement called Imaan. I was in luck because there was also a temporary exhibition on East Asian and Southeast Asian queers, where they shared their lived experiences through zines and other interesting mixed-media crafts. I remembered a zine mentioning how some homophobic laws in Asian countries originated from the colonial era, and another one about the fetishization of Asian men in the gay dating scene. I also enjoyed some of the books displayed, which I would love to read further :)

Absolutely an amazing experience. The museum itself I've been to three times now. Most of the displays swap and change every so often of some amazing LGBT+ history that you may or may not know about. It's amazing to see such a queer space that is there to give insight into you being you. Also the display of the Heartstopper flag is unbelievable. Gorgeous to read all the various comments from fans of the show. Definitely a fantastic experience and the staff are truly exceptional

A visit here should be on the itinerary for all LGBTQ+ people in and around London. I hope with growing support the museum expands the collection in the future.

This is a free Museum about five minutes walk from Kings Cross Station. It has an excellent selection and collection of historical pieces from the UK history of LGBTQ+ people. There are also special exhibitions on as well. It is incredibly important that this museum exists. In a world where LGBTQ people are constantly erased it is wonderful that this exists to say that we are here. And we aren’t going anywhere. Buy something from the gift shop to support.

Although it's small, the space they have has been used to a wonderful effect. There's still so much to see and it's so welcoming, I can't wait to see how it grows and expands in the future. Keep supporting our queer spaces!

Absolutely brilliant museum! Although the museum is quite small I could have stayed for hours. A detailed, intersectional and so incredibly important collection of queer history and presence. I can highly recommend coming here. The staff was also incredibly welcoming and attentive. The museum is accessible for wheelchair users. 💕
