The Best Mexico City Coffee Shops For Getting Work Done

"Even though Qūentin has become something of a small chain (there are four of them throughout the city), it’s managed to maintain the feel of a local coffee shop. And while the Avenida Amsterdam location in Condesa isn’t as big as some of the other places on this guide, you can still snag a table if you come early (they open at 7am during the week, and 8am on weekends) or later in the afternoon. Their coffee is considered some of the best in town, and make sure to pair it with a pastry, like the banana cake or one of the daily donut assortments." - guillaume guevara

Google
Amazing coffee place with food tasting coffee and breakfast pastries. Full service, fair prices and seating. Well located on a Main Street, highly recommend.

Google
Googled closest coffee near me and Quentin Coffee came up on top of the list. It has not disappointed. I had a flat white and the coffee was rich and smooth. Fantastic and I highly recommend. Even if you walk here it is worth it.

Google
This was a welcomed surprise of a spot to get high quality coffee without the wait or crowds of other cafes in Roma Norte. The espresso shots were delicious. There was a Chiapas and a Oaxacan offering at the time. The flat white was my favorite, and it was as well made as I have ever had. The pastries were tasty and more than serviceable. Probably even better priced for your everyday consumption compared to the trendier, more expensive places around the neighborhood.

Google
I tried the flat white and it tasted amazing! The place looks incredible and the staff is nice! Definetly a place I'll visit often! *update* Now I've also tried a vanilla/jam-filled cupcake and the chai latte. Both were pretty good, although I'd personally still prefer a coffee based beverage. Ambience is nice, perfect to have a talk with a friend, study or work. The orange casa cara drink was juicy and fresh. I recommend it if you'd like sprinkle drinks and an new type of flavor ;)

Google
Had a cappuccino it was delicious one of the best coffees I’ve had in a long time. The coffee shop is small, the service was very good. Definitely if you are in the area stop here and enjoy a coffee. Will definitely be back!

Google
Very nice, small cafe. Coffee was very good, pastries were as well.

Google
Of the coffee places off Alvaro Obregón in Roma, this one stands out for its ambience and its espresso, which was very good. It definitely gave me a reason to go back to try its lattes. Friendly baristas. It also sells coffee bags.

Google
Best matcha I had in the city (most people don’t seem to know how to make a matcha that isn’t a latte). Amazing pastries. Love the ambiance. One of my favorite cafes we visited during our stay.

Yelp
Favorite cup of coffee of our Mexico City trip! This cafe has modern, minimalist, hip vibes and has a small indoor and outdoor seating area to enjoy your drinks and pastries. The espresso is bold but smooth, and my husband loved the coffee here so much that he bought beans to take home. There's a nice variety of roasted beans to choose from, and the staff was very knowledgeable and recommended different types depending on how we wanted to prepare them at home.

Yelp
Quentin Café: A Minimalist Gem in the Heart of Mexico City Tucked beside a park in one of Mexico City's lush, green neighborhoods, Quentin Café feels like a small, carved-out sanctuary of good coffee and authentic charm. With its minimalist, concrete design, it's both understated and striking--a space that lets its surroundings and offerings take center stage. The café's simplicity is its strength. There's no pretense here, just a genuine neighborhood spot where locals come to sip coffee, catch up, or simply enjoy the quiet energy of the area. It's the kind of place where you can feel the rhythm of the community, from the park-goers strolling by to the friendly hum of conversation at nearby tables. The coffee? Simply delicious. Perfectly brewed, it's clear Quentin Café takes its craft seriously. Each cup feels like a love letter to the bean, prepared with care and precision. Whether you're grabbing a quick cup to go or sitting back to savor it on-site, the quality remains consistently excellent. Quentin Café is more than a coffee shop--it's a quintessential slice of Mexico City life. With its authentic vibe and fantastic coffee, it's a spot that feels both welcoming and unique, perfect for anyone looking to soak in the city's neighborhood charm.

Yelp
We got our morning coffees here multiple times during our week long stay in CDMX. Such a cute little spot with mostly American clientele in the Roma neighborhood. We loved loved coffees and pastries here. The guava pastry was such an unexpected flavor profile and so fitting to CDMX and the banana bread had chunks of chocolate and was so delicious. Was also excited to see that they use Dandelion chocolate in their mochas. They have a couple outdoor tables and there's often mariachi bands performing right outside for some music while you enjoy your coffee. We saw a line every time we went in which is expected of such a place but it moves quickly.

Yelp
Took the dogs for a walk and stopped at this neighborhood cafe. It's small with a few tables inside and outside. Ordered an iced chai and banana bread for myself and a few croissants to take home. The banana bread was flavorful and had chunks of chocolate. Since the drink was a little light on chai, the staff comped me on the small drink. Very thoughtful. The croissants were like homemade - crunch on the outside and buttery flaky on the inside. Great stop!

Yelp
this cafe is overhyped in my opinion. the food storage area had flies on top of the food and the coffee was just ok. it's a cute cafe to look at but i wouldn't recommend eating here

Yelp
Cute coffee shop! I got my go to Flat White and also ordered banana bread. The banana bread was nice and moist and much better than other banana breads I've had! My friends and I grabbed our coffee/pastries to go, but I did enjoy sitting in the cafe for the few minutes we were in there.

Yelp
Coffeee is okay but not the greatest, everywhere I go , I try coffee their selection is very limited and is not to die for, is like going to Starbucks- sales not great taste.

Yelp
Ordered an Americano which was pretty average. Also got a tasty concha which went well with it.

Yelp
Beautiful shop playing groovy tunes and very friendly staff. The cold brew was and we had to bring two bags back to Texas. They're open to at least 11pm on Saturdays. Yep says 1am but google mentions 11 so we played it safe strolled in at 10:45pm.

Yelp
RIP OFF. We ordered a coffee and tea and enjoyed it. I decided to pick up 2 packets of their roasted beans. On return to US I see a charge of $54.86 for 2 packs of 12 oz coffee. Must be some Mayan gold in there. Avoid or double check you purchase

Yelp
I drank coffee here every morning (except the one morning I was recovering from mild traveler's diarrhea) during my eight day stay in CDMX. Their pourovers, cafe del dia, and Americanos were top notch. And at 45-65 pesos per order, phew, that can make any American happy. I didn't manage to try their baked goods, but I walked by every afternoon/evening as they were preparing the next day's batches of dough, and boy, it smelled goooooooood.

Yelp
Always my favorite coffee spot when visiting CDMX. I've busted three times and always find time to come. I always get a latte with a pastry.

Yelp
My fav coffee shop in Roma. Super good coffee, great service and has wifi and good ambiance. Rory is super nice and always makes the best lattes. If you need coffee or just want a spot to hang out with good vibes, come here.

Yelp
Quentin is always our morning cafe spot when in CDMX. My favorite drinks are the cascara funky and the espressonic. The flat white is perfect too, but those iced drinks are it for me. Also grab some coffee beans to take back and reminisce on this great cafe in the coolest city in the world.

Yelp
If you're ever in Roma, CDMX and want some fresh coffee avoid Starbucks and drink coffee from a local café. They don't have a big menu, but they have quite a few varieties of coffee. The space is small, but it's súper chido. You can go there to work if you need to or meet with a friend. I love this cafe!

Yelp
Quaint neighborhood coffee shop, just one block from Four Points Sheraton. Almond milk, flat whites, cortados, free leaf white teas, pastries. Soft music. Tables outside. Perfect mood changer!

Yelp
A sweet little coffee shop in Roma. It's petite indeed, however on our visit there there weren't too many customers, so we were able to enjoy our drinks inside at a table. The menu is small but you'll find classic beverages from espresso to lattes, etc. They also have tea, matcha and other items on the menu.

Yelp
If you you are looking to take break from the Starbucks kind of coffee, this might interest you. A nice little coffee shop that I discovered while walking on that street. The service is quite good and the folks are friendly. The folks out their believe in "personalizing the coffee" and often have a chat with you. The cookies out there are also fresh and nice. I could sense that there are a few folks out there who prefer this as their regular joint.

Adam J.

Yelp
Easily the best coffee in CDMX... The staff are extremely knowledgeable and its really science here... Trust the science! JK but here, I would trust anything they do. My goto is the almond milk Cortado.

Yelp
Excellent coffee!!! Small space with nice, mellow music. Amazing drinks. The carajillo (spiced alcoholic coffee) was incredible. There is seating both inside and outside with free WiFi. My favorite coffee place in cdmx. The barista is well respected and friendly.

Yelp
We ordered 2 cold brews & an espresso & both were delicious. The staff was knowledgable & friendly. There is limited seating, but it is worth a visit to pick up coffee to-go & stroll the neighborhood.

Yelp
Probably the best coffee shop I have been. Very high quality grains of coffe. Love the music, the environment, the pastries. People are very friendly and it feels like a community. This is a gem of a place:)
