The restaurant has reopened after being closed for updates. We enjoyed talking with the owner. He makes everything there from scratch. The food is fresh and good quality. Great hole in the wall, don’t pass it up! For appetizers We ordered the rabbit and tripe tostadas. They were excellent. For main course we ordered the hamburger and lamb ribs. Also very tasty. The lamb took me a few bites to get used to it. For dessert we had the fried plantains with ice cream. This is honestly the best dessert we have had in the 2 months we have been in Mexico! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND saving room for this!! The restaurant is very rustic and I loved it. I felt a little chilly inside from the cloudy day. They have a stove heater but it wasn’t on.

Service was fast & the waiter was very attentive but the group I went in were one of the two tables there, so I am not sure how things are when the restaurant is full. It was a cold evening but the restaurant had a small fire going in a small rustic looking stove. Overall the restaurant has a very nice rustic vibe and has a nice view towards a bridge & canal. We order a salad & cheese board with smoked meats, both of which had great presentation & also tasted good. I really enjoyed the fruity dressing the salad had. As a main course I ordered an octopus dish. Again the presentation was great not only for my own dish but also for the rest of my group. The guacamole that came with my order was good, but the octopus was okay. I liked how it was cooked but the octopus had more of a fishy flavor than I would have liked, a sign that it isn't very fresh. I used the guacamole to help combat the fishyness.

lots of gamey meat options! the octopus with grilled tripe was the best. orange glazed duck was a huge portion size (a whole half duck) but not very exciting. the lamb t bones had varying degrees of doneness, most were a little too rare for my tastes.

Lovely and intimate setting for dinner on the way to Valle de Guadalupe. The food is plated beautifully! We shared the warm mushroom salad and the catch of the day, which was halibut. The warm mushroom salad was especially delicious. The fish was also very good. Wait staff is friendly and welcoming.

This is the most uniquely creative place I've been to since my romantic dinner in Thailand. The intricate flavors in each dish will surpass your expectations. The presentation of each dish is expertly crafted and composed. I had The Cheese Board, Real del Castillo, with seasonal fruit Jam. Which is a great starter that will keep your palate clean for the main course. The Tuna Tiradito was new to me but blew me away. I highly recommend it. The Grilled Octopus with guacamole, special salsa, pickled red onions and tortillas was magnificent in every way. The octopus was tender and a mouthful of flavor. Coupled with everything else it makes for a good taco. Lastly, Dessert Hrilled Plantains with the House ice cream is a great close to the evening, sweet, salty, and nutty.

This has been the fourth time I have been to this place. When I am there, I always try something new and I am wowed every time by the food. The patio has a very romantic atmosphere. It can be a little cold outside during cold seasons, so make sure you bring your coat.

Great food. Tripe tostada had an amazing flavor of smoke. Lasagna and catch of the day were amazing too. Great selection of craft beer, and I was impressed that they offer beer in chilled glasses. Will return.
