This place is amazing!!! We got the Southern Comfort, Chix’N Sticks, and the chimichanga. Everything was so delicious- the sides were all awesome- the Mac and cheese and potato salad especially. The cornbread and hush puppy were great too, I’d definitely get extra cornbread next time. Everything was so flavorful, I think that anybody, vegan or not, should try this place. It is takeout only, but they have a patio with tables and chairs for sunny days. Our order took about 45 minutes from the time we placed it, which is exactly what they advertise on the website! The service was lovely as well, this place is absolutely worth the trip! Wish there was another location closer to Seattle.

Finally made it back to this place after only going once before the pandemic! It is so good and so worth the trek from Tacoma (if you're like me and live in Seattle). It's takeout only right now, so you can't go inside the building to eat. You order online from their website, and it seems like ordering is only available during their open hours. We ordered at noon on Saturday and the food was ready in about 30min. The portions are HUGE and so much food for the price. My friend LOVED his Philly cheesesteak (he said his criteria is that the cheese has to be good and this delivered). I got the sweet Jamaican wrap and upgraded the side to fries, another person got the mama Africa wrap and kept the beans and rice that comes with it. I was stuffed after eating all the fries and not even one of the halves of the wrap, and saved the rest for later. A friend also got the egg rolls and said they were very tasty. We got two banana foster cake slices and they're big! Kinda tastes like a cinnamon roll in cake version. Very good vegan frosting!

Some of the best Southern food I've ever had. The hush puppies are an absolute must and the side salad is surprisingly good. All around 10 out of 10, would drive down from Seattle just to eat this food again

Google
We got the Reuben, southern comfort, and the BLT salad for a take out order here. The Reuben and mac n cheese were maybe the best respective items we’ve had from a restaurant. We usually don’t like ‘meaty’ Reuben’s but their house made seitan was delicious. The mac n cheese was very creamy too. Some of the items were a miss as they were a bit salty but overall this was was great and would go back.

Quickie Too is the definitive rebuttal to anyone who says vegan food isn’t good. Delicious comfort food, generous portion sizes. I try to have something different every time I go, and I’ve never been disappointed with any order. I live in Seattle and when I find myself even in the vicinity of Tacoma, I have to come to Quickie Too. Don’t be deterred by the wait time listed on the website. Order ahead of time, pack your appetite, and you’ll find it is 110% worth the wait.

Since QT became a take out only, the service and wait time for food has significantly improved. I’ve been going once a week or more for lunches this past month and have had only incredible food, very large portions, often organic ingredients and great service. Love this place. Photo is of the Sweet Jamaican Wrap and its side of rice and beans.

You must try this place!!!! I'm southern and I've had a lot of good soul food, but this place has the best hush puppies I've ever had! Get an extra side of them just trust me! I got the TV dinner which included a seitan steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, greens, and a hush puppy. Let me just tell you those greens slap! They were smokey and flavorful they were fantastic. The portions are also HUGE you will have a second or third meal later. Which I love because the food is so good. My husband got the Philly steak sandwich with fries. He said it was a cheesy delicious flavor explosion. I tried a bite too and can confirm it was cheesy and delicious. We also got a reeses cup shake and it was top notch! Highly recommend this place! We are in town two days and will be going back tomorrow to try more stuff! Update: I've been back and I tried the chix N fry dinner and it's my new favorite!! The potato salad was excellent, the greens are to die for, and the chix sticks are so well seasoned and breaded! Absolutely incredible. This place doesn't miss! I can't recommend it enough!

Google
It’s hard to find vegan places worth going to as i often prefer my own cooking, but this is definitely one! Everything Ive tried has tasted amazing, they actually have protein in a lot of the dishes which I appreciate, and its just awesome through and through. Thank you for existing! I will be back. 😁

Yelp
Took a flight from Orange County to Tacamo, Washington(3 hours), just for this place. Only kidding, came to visit my sister and happen to find this hidden gem. Quickie Too gets 10/10 on everything. Kind staff, great food, and prices so so good. Big portions and my non -vegan family even loved it. Please support Quickie too for as long as we breathe!!!! PS Order the BQQ SEITAN salad, Mac & cheese, and the orange cookie. Love from Santa Ana(22 hours from this place) Love love

Yelp
I pulled up to this little gem and was helped and treated so nice. She gave me suggestions on what to order? I got the Jamaican sandwich and sweet potato fries with a lemonade. It's delicious. The burger was layered to perfection and perfectly seasoned ,it's a big burger. I took it apart because it was too big for me. Very good. I can see myself visiting here everytime I come into town.

Yelp
I haven't ate here and years but I know the food is just as good as I remember it! I always crave Quickie Too but due to the sporadic hours I never align with the times they are open. But hopefully we will be able to see more open hours soon! Love y'all!

Yelp
I find it very hard to rate this restaurant, i'm very torn between the great food and the horrendous service and atmosphere. The food is great, one of my favorite vegan spots in Tacoma; they have been around a long time and used to be one of the only vegan restaurants. But the service...it almost leaves me speechless how awful they have been. They are rude, unhelpful, slow, and discriminatory. I feel beyond uncomfortable going into this establishment as a white women. I was once in there and the waiter refused to speak to us, but he was speaking to the table beside us. I have even heard them making comments about white customers. The restaurant itself is also on the verge of being disgusting, it needs a good cleaning that's for sure. I want to give it a 1 star due to the service, but besides all of this, the food is very good. I would just suggest never going in and just ordering your food to go (although they also never answer the phones lol)

Yelp
So we went to Quickie too and I had the Carb monster which is a grilled triple decker grilled cheese that comes with fries and Mac n Yease. The grilled cheese was super good, tasted like a regular grilled cheese, the fries were okay and that's only because I like mine a lil crispier. I thought that mac b Yease was okay but would've loved more cheese in It. My partner had the southern comfort and hush puppies, she enjoyed the Greens and the mac n Yease, she described It as flavorful and savory. They weren't a huge fan of the tofu steak or the mashed potatoes but the gravy was good. They also had the hush puppies which they described as very flavorful but wished It was fried a lil lighter but they weren't dry inside at all The portion size is very big and you definitely get bang for your buck. Im not a vegan at all but would recommend It since It was pretty good.

Yelp
I don't know what I'll do with myself if Tacoma ever loses Quickie Too. There isn't a thing on this menu I don't like and I haven't shared a meal here with a single person, vegan or otherwise, who didn't become a believer. When I moved away, I'd often wake up in a cold sweat from dreams about buffalo mac & yease. Years later, the first thing I did when I got back was inhale a seitan sandwich like it contained the antidote. My all-time favorites are the aforementioned, plus the Mama Africa salad, Jamaican wrap, TV dinner, and pineapple coconut bread pudding. Tens across the board. Nothing compares. I won't pretend I'm not nostalgic for the days of dine-in, but even more than that I'm grateful to the hardworking and simply lovely ladies of Quickie Too for keeping the dream alive. Thanks for all the years of vegan grub made with love and here's to many more (please).

Henry T.

Yelp
Truly amazing food made with love and care. The service is warm and full of personality just like everything you order. I don't get out much but when I do, Quickie Too is worth the trip. Easy parking, stellar vibes!

Rachel W.

Yelp
Update: Huge shout out to Quickie Too for outstanding service. We moved out to the boonies, and one day when the husband was driving home through Tacoma, he asked them to sell him all of the ingredients for my favorite sandwich to reheat at home, and they did and it was DUCKING AMAZING!! Hot parts hot, cold parts cool and crisp, and enough for lunch the following day. Special note: this was during off hours. NEVER ASK ANYONE FOR THIS KIND OF SPECIAL SERVICE DURING PEAK HOURS!! AND TIP HEAVILY FOR SPECIAL REQUESTS!!

Vanessa B.

Yelp
We pulled up and ordered online as the sign on the door directs. It seemed like a busy day for them! Lots of people were pulling in and picking up their food alongside us. We ordered the southern comfort, plantains, and the seitan chimichanga, with two lemonades. The food was delicious and the servings were huge! I ended up keeping some of mine as leftovers. The hush puppy was probably my favorite part of the southern comfort dish, with the mac & yease a close second! We did wait for a long time, almost an hour, but I'm always happy to do so for some delicious food and if it means supporting a small business.

Yelp
Oh wow. This restaurant has been on my saved list for years and today i finally made myself find it, turns out its only 5 minutes from my workplace. I've never been to a vegan restaurant before so I didn't know what to expect, but whatever expectation I could have had was blown away. I was slightly disappointed they closed their indoor seating, but I understand why. I ordered online and waited in my car (like the front door sign tells you to), it took 8 minutes from the time I placed my order to the time I got the "ready for pickup" text. That burger was bigger than my face. I ate it all. It was amazing. It was gooey, crunchy (fresh jalapeños), creamy, and spicy. Nothing about that burger lacked flavor. Whatever patties they used absorved and brought out all the seasonings. I cannot wait to go back to try more menu items. Or maybe I'll order the same burger. Who knows? Either way, they'll be seeing my hungry face again.

Yelp
Amazing food... I will order again when I visit the Tacoma area... The lady was a bit rude maybe she had a bad day not to sure... I got the comfort and everything was wonderful

Yelp
Quickie Too is for me and you! My first time here was in 2018 it was a very crazy windy day, but we blew in off 14th and MLK Way to this Tacoma treasure and were in awe of how homey and comfy this place was including the posters and wall art booths, cloth covered tables and long bar area that almost made you feel like you were hanging out at someone's home just vibin and vegging out. I remember trying everything we possibly could including some amazing wraps, pizza, sides and honestly too much (if there is a such thing), but everything was too amazing including our service from this one of a kind hidden gem. Quickie is a black-owned & women-owned 100% plant- based vegan eatery fusing Jamaican flare with modern soul & comfort delights with some inspiration from a variety of various cuisines. The Steak Pizza was something I'll never forget when they had it nor the potato salad, which as someone who makes their own vegan version and loves trying others Quickie Too was possibly the best I've ever had. Like many great places in Pierce County I was unable pickup takeout physically during a short visit to the area so I did the next best thing and ordered delivery. And much like the first time with comfy seating and fast service and ordering an excessive amount of food... I did just that: Homemade Mac & Yease (aka Mac N Cheese) - absolutely the best - perfect amount of creaminess and pepper as well as flavor. Smoky Mushroom Melt might possible be my new favorite Q-Too item - the cremini mushrooms and melted daiya & follow your heart cheesy mashup with grilled onions and textured steaky tofurkey seitan (wheat meat protein) all loaded into a huge hoagie roll is perfection. Lovers Club is this smoky tofu super club sandwich made with smoked tofu they make in-house plus classic tomato, lettuce, onion (grilled) and pickle mashup. Super stacked and slice perfectly into several amazing halves. I did notice that Quickie has made some mods to the menu and I don't know if the potato salad is still available or just limited as I didn't see it as an options or amongst my food that I believe came with, but I have nothing but love for the Quickness of the Too. Since they've switched over to exclusive take-out only you're not able to get the full experience, but the love in care is definitely still in the customer service, quality and of course the food. There's usually a fair amount of street parking as they don't really have a lot, but there's also usually not a ton of traffic as you get closer by. Open every other day of the week: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with varying hours, but once you fall in love with the magic of this marvel you'll learn Quickie's schedule as well as menu pretty quick.

Casper C.

Yelp
There mac and yeeze is magical. I could eat it every day. You haven't lived until you've tried it. There other food is just as good. And cruelty free!

Jessica H.

Yelp
Great food, even non-vegans will love it. Friendly staff. We had the "TV dinner" (a soul-food style meal with seitan steak, collard greens, mashed potatoes, and a hush puppy) and the "fish" sandwich made with tempeh. Both meals were absolutely delicious. Reminded me of soul food I've had in Detroit and Chicago. I only wish I lived closer to Tacoma so I could come here more often!! Service was a bit on the slower side but that's understandable these days given almost every eatery has staffing issues due to COVID. The dining room is still currently closed (February 2022) so it's take-out only. So just order your meal online before driving out and you shouldn't have to wait too long. Prices are more reasonable than the other vegan restaurant in town. Food was super filling for the price. We ate late afternoon and I didn't need dinner lol. Definitely go and check this place out!

Briana M.

Yelp
I ordered online as the sign on the outside of the building instructed. I paid for my order with Apple Pay and was told I would be contacted via email. I didn't want that but there was no other option. I called to tell them my predicament and the elderly woman that answered sounded exasperated. I hung up feeling uneasy. Never the less 10 minutes later I received a call telling me my order was ready. The food was good. All vegan. I tried the BLT wrap. Delicious red cabbage and sauce with ,I believe it's, seitan seasoned to perfection. Truly a quality, filling, vegan meal. My son said the beans were great.

Leah M.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing. This is some of the best food I have ever tasted. There is no dine-in option, order online only. The wait was a bit long but totally worth it. We got the big burger, and the Philly, and both were delicious. I will be returning soon!

K. Kamanani C.

Yelp
Truly some of the best food I've ever had! My partner and I were visiting a friend in the area and make it a point to eat at BIPOC-owned vegan businesses as much as possible, so this was at the top of our list. The first time we went, we got the Southern Comfort and fried fish sandwich and about died over how good both were. Big portions, including of super fresh salad greens with an addictive salad dressing. Not a single bite was less than stellar. We went back the next day and got the mushroom melt, more hush puppies and collards, and the sweet Jamaican wrap. By this point we were both obsessed, so we timed our departure from Tacoma so that we could get food for the flight home - another fried fish sandwich plus the really big burger and chili cheese fries to share. We still dream about this food :) Food was takeout only, but well packaged (and easy to save leftovers). Service was great and every staff member I interacted with was kind and very helpful.

Jasmine W.

Yelp
Amazing. Still dreaming about the hush puppies. The Mac the greens & mash potatoes all 10/10. Definitely will be returning

Wendi K.

Yelp
Wow the food here is just so amazing. We tried the Big Jamaican Burger ($13.5) and the Quesadilla ($11). The Jamaican burger was perfectly seasoned and very flavorful (plantains were also an amazing touch) and the Quesadilla was filled to the brim with gooey "cheese" and seitan pieces. Everything seems made in house to - I have never had seitan that soft or tofu that flavorful (it was spiced all the way through as opposed to marinated which makes me think it was homemade). Even the burger bun seems homemade. Cute little place with a patio with outdoor seating. Inside had a cute fireplace. Didn't try the desserts but those looked incredible. The owner is such a sweetheart. Definitely coming back!

Rochelle B.

Yelp
I love great food. Even better if it's vegan now that I am as well. This place has location issues, but don't let that stop you from ordering. When I asked a few locals where to eat Vegan, this place came up in conversation more than once. I thought I'd give it a try. First, I drove there without checking the website first. Their hours are a bit strange, and they only accept online orders, but DONT LET THAT DETER YOU. The food is incredible. By no means a "healthy" spot, but it's vegan comfort food and im loving it. I got the TLT with tempeh, and oh wowzer, is it amazing. Also, a side of potato salad, cornbread and pineapple upside down cake. Holy kats, this will be my Tacoma spot from now on. Again, don't let location and online ordering command that you don't try this place. Face your fears. It's proof that taste of the food has nothing to do with location. Amazing

Taylor W.

Yelp
Great vegan soul food. The Mac and Yease and the corn ball fritters are delicious but so is everything else.

Meadow A.

Yelp
I cannot sing enough praise for this place! Delicious vegan comfort food and if you're like me and have a lot of omnivore friends and family, it's a great place to order from so everyone can enjoy their food. The Reese's milkshake and Mac and Yease are my go-tos but you really can't go wrong with anything.

Anthony K.

Yelp
This a hummus and taboli place and have no idea why they pretend to be a persian restaurant for sure they fooled me.

Sandy B.

Yelp
Everything is fantastic! Some items are a little pricy but worth every bit... wonderful!

Teresa S.

Yelp
Fabulous food every single time! Hush puppies to die for. I am not vegan but the food is just so good I keep going back.

Stacey D.

Yelp
The food was great, but I was treated rudely when the person at the window thought I was a delivery driver, so at least it's take-out only. I'll probably order again, but I won't be tipping next time.

Edith A.

Yelp
The mac and yease is so good. It's so creamy and really gives mac and cheese and run for it's money. The Jamaican burger was CRAZY. It was so yummy and savory and BOOM something sweet! I believe it was a plantain and I'm usually not a fan but it was the perfect combo of savory/sweet that I finished the burger with it. The spicy fries are also yummy! The mushroom melt was pretty good too. My coworker LOVED hers and scarfed it down. I'm not even vegan anymore and I still love eating here!

Tom B.

Yelp
Darn fine vegan Chili Burger and that's coming from an omnivore. It was a triple decker bus in transit to Yumville. Not too saucy like a sloppy joe but similar gratification without the mess. I must say the hush puppies are THE BEST I've had. Even saved one for my pup at home as I had to share them. Support Quickie Too so we don't lose this valuable restaurant on Hilltop and get yourself a side order of hush puppies while you're at it.

Tyra B.

Yelp
Quickie Too is the Best Vegan Food I have had. They get the flavor, texture and presentation right. I was smiling ear to ear with every bite. The fish plate was perfect. Their fries are AMAZING TOO! They are friendly hardworking and kind.

Ashley L.

Yelp
I hate to sound like a b**** but this was the worst experience of getting take out I've ever had. I bought two meals and it took me an hour and a half to get my food. I placed an order online and the website said food takes about 30-45 min to be ready, so I timed to be there 30 min after my order was placed and wait there if it took longer. We ended up waiting one hour in person , after the 30 min we let pass. The whole system to pick up food was a complete sh*t show and very unprofessional, I regretted placing the order and debated leaving (losing $40). The establishment is closed to the public and there is a pick-up window where guests must go to get their food. There was no one working in the front so an employee would occasionally open the window every ten minutes or so. There was absolutely no system to the way food orders were passed out. There were about 6 other people waiting for their food. The employee would ask one or two people for their number and then walk away. Folks had to be assertive to ask about their order number when he opened the window because he didn't even ask everyone. He kept calling the same number for twenty minutes "5049" and I was "5045" so I was confused why an order so far ahead was getting called first.. but I saw three bags on the counter and thought they just had a huge order that they finished early. After my third time telling him my number, he grabbed one of the bags that had been sitting their twenty min L O L. Two stars because I really enjoyed my food but my partner said her fries were soggy and her rice wasn't fully cooked. She ordered spicy fries but they were regular. Also one customer who got there after us left after waiting 45 min. Another customer was given only half their order and was still waiting for the other half when we left. They either need more staff members or someone in charge who can get orders out efficiently! It was quite frustrating.

Estrada D.

Yelp
I've lived in Los Angeles most of my life, where vegan food is in abundance. I've had some amazing vegan food but this food right here? Is as good as it looks. I had the southern comfort and every morsel of it was divine. As far as wait time goes, it is worth the wait. Prepare for it. I waited 20 minutes (sat and read a book). Lovely and cozy outside area. A hidden gem in Tacoma. I also had their Oreo brownie that was pretty good.

Cristine D.

Yelp
It doesn't even matter if you're vegan, this is one of the best restaurants in Washington. Totally worth our 40-50 minute drive. And the owner is a total sweetheart. I had the TV dinner and my hubby had the crazy Jamaican burger. Both were amazing. I couldn't get over the chicken-fried-steak and gravy. And the collard greens? Perfection. We also got a side of the Mac and yease, which was some of the most delicious, creamiest, cheesiest-tasting mac I've ever had, even compared to the country restaurants back home in Texas. We put in our order for Thanksgiving and can't wait.

Kim G.

Yelp
We are out-of-state vegans and were looking for sit-down vegan restaurants. We skipped this place the first few days because it's takeout only. Boy did we miss out. We finally ordered and picked up food to take back to the hotel. The club sandwich meal and the southern something with mashed potatoes with gravy, mac and cheese and greens were amazing. This place is great and you get so much food we ate leftovers for dinner in our hotel room.

Hermetic Order of t.

Yelp
So. Much. Oil. I have never seen this much fucking oil on my food in my life. Not even on a pizza. Oh, and everything is super squishy. Not oil soggy squishy, well yes, that too. But no, nuked-flavorless mushy from being left in the heat too long. This is the only way to get a heart attack as a vegan and you can have bland food while doing it! The fries were alright.

Holly M.

Yelp
We finally had a chance to try Quickie Too and it did not disappoint at all! At this point we have probably had at least five or six orders. My husband and I are switching to a more plant based diet so having a vegan restaurant in our area is great! Right now QT is only doing take out so we used their order mechanism on their website which worked well and didn't add on fees like UberEats or DoorDash does even if it's for pick up. Their system sends a text when your order is ready and you can pull up to their drive through window for pickup. On their website it says that the orders can take up to an hour but we have never had to wait that long. Every time our food was hot and well packaged with condiments. We've had several of the "burgers". The Jamaican burger is our favorite! The potato salad and plantain on the burger was messy but so, so good. The "burger" is smoked tofu. On its own it's tofu but in the bun with everything else the texture and taste is so yum! Great french fries!!! My husband has had the chimichanga, we've had the fish sandwich, the Friday night fish fry, the TV dinner, the chicken dinner and their cookies. Can't forget the mac n' yease and greens!!! For those reading the review and getting confused...all those items are vegan and plant based. The quality of food and portions are really great! Even with the recession I thought their prices were very fair especially for the quality and quantity. If you are vegan, most plant based or curious I highly recommend QT!!!

Dru N.

Yelp
This establishment is currently only accepting mobile orders as of Feb 10th 2023. They have a very unique menu with lots of vegan options I've never tried before. Definitely want to go back and try more menu items

Kayla M.

Yelp
Let me start out by saying that I am not a vegan. Yet, this food was so good that I couldn't even see a difference. This restaurant has me looking up my own recipes thinking, "there's no way this tastes like it does." I wish I didn't live so far, but it was definitely worth the drive. If I find myself in Tacoma again soon this is the first place I'm stopping.

Mpriceless P.

Yelp
Definitely the best vegan restaurant in Tacoma! The Mac is so good! Their barbecue sandwich is to die for. Support small businesses!

Erika A.

Yelp
I truly adore this establishment. If I could eat like this everyday and not feel guilty then I would come every week. I've been a total of 3 times now and plan on going again soon. But this review will be about my sit-in experience. Let's start with the service. I've only ever seen one waitress there. I can't remember her name but she is the cutest, sweetest, kindest, this could go on but I'll stop. I went in with my son to specifically order The Mac and Yease. It is THEE ABSOLUTE BEST plant based Mac and cheese that I've EVER had! It was so thick, creamy, and a little crispy. It was so good that I just started ordering shit lmao! it was so good that I called my sister and told her to get there right away lol. I ordered a side of fries for my son and I'm typically not a small fry type of person but these fry's were good. I ordered a lemonade with agave and it was perfect! I went through the menu and decided on the Fremont philly. Now see I'm the type of person that I need mayo on my sandwich, I don't care what type of sandwich it is. I need mayo on it lol so I requested the mayo. Let me take a break from this story to tell you about the younger woman who is a cook. When I ordered my lemonade I first asked if they had any juice and her response was a smart "I don't make juice" but I think she sensed the tone it because she quickly corrected it and informed me of the lemonade. (FYI I make homemade apple JUICE with my juicer and no added ingredients...anyways back to the review). It's important that I informed you of this exchange because when I requested mayo on my Fremont philly her response was "this sandwich doesn't usually come with mayo" to which I responded "I'm aware, I would like mayo" she said okay and then I got my philly....with no mayo...smh...when my waitress came back I requested the mayo and she brought it quickly (love her!). The philly itself was AMAZING!!! The bell peppers weren't over cooked and the seitan was well seasoned and the onions were good as well. My son even grabbed it and started eating it lol. When my sister arrived she ordered the street tacos and chili cheese fries. She is not vegan and her exact words were "if I can eat vegan food like this I would go vegan". She was telling a damn lie lol but she did love the food!! And so did my son. The red beans and rice and greatly seasoned and the greens are delicious as well. The only thing we didn't like was the chocolate chip cookie. It was dry in all honesty. My son rarely turns down sweets so when he denied the cookie I tasted it and understood why. But that was literally the only thing. So why 4 instead of 5 right? Food is 5/5. Waitress 5/5. Service from waitress 5/5. Service in general? I'm going to say about a 2. Due to what I stated above about the juice and mayo. One thing I will say is that I don't think they really like to make changes to their menu items. I went another time after this for mac and yease to go and it was DELICIOUS of course! I went again (I know lol but they were spaced out) and ordered the mac and yease (of course) with mashed potatoes and gravy and an Egyptian Yerba Mate. The mashed potatoes were just as good as the mac and yease! I most certainly recommend that you go here and just buy a bunch of good food!!

Yelp
First time eating here, first time ever eating a complete vegan meal, and I'm sold. Let me first say that the reviews here talking anything about how this area is 'unsafe' must be written by white folks not comfortable with diversity. Do not let those reviews deter you from visiting a Vegan Black Owned business in the Hilltop area of Tacoma! I said what I said. Now, onto my food. I ordered the Jamaican burger, gluten free, with fries (not gluten free, no separate fryer, I'll risk it.) Flavorful. A little spice. A little sweet. What WAS all that goodness layered on my bun?! Delicious, really. Each bit was consistent, no weird textures, or after taste. It was well put together so it didn't make a huge mess as I ate it in my car. Fries, fine. Nothing to write home about, but I didn't come for fries. I'm impressed, friendly staff. Look forward to when they can have guests inside for meals, as I will return.

Yelp
One of my new favorite places! I'm so happy to find a vegan spot that serves Sunday Brunch in the Hilltop area! I've been vegan for approx 2 years and have yet to have pancakes as good as Quickie Too's. They almost always have cookies and cake available and I love how many cookie options they have. Their regular menu is amazing, with so many options. It was almost too difficult to choose because everything sounded exquisite. I got a milkshake (which is the best vegan milkshake I've ever had), a tofustrami wrap that came with rice and beans, and a order of fries. When I came in on a Saturday afternoon, the place was poppin'! Which is a good sign, giving that Quickie Too is a small business. You will need to be patient if it's busy, but you won't mind because the place is cozy and it has a welcoming atmosphere and the food is to die for. I came in on Sunday March 15th with my group of friends for brunch, and we were the only party in the restaurant until the local churches got out and the place was getting busy. Which is another good sign, to me. We were in and out in an hour, which is impressive timing for a group of four especially when you know the food is prepared to order. Overall 11/10. Going to become a frequent visitor.

Yelp
I've had vegan food in 9 states, on 3 continents and 12 countries and this is one of the best top down vegan restaurants. Everything on the menu is good.

Yelp
Ugh, I really wanted to love this place but it's just a little funky. I went up to the side window to place my order and was asked to place it online and pick up at the window (COVID protocol). No problem - ordered a BBQ pizza and a veggie wrap which took 35 minutes :-( The wrap was alright but I would skip the pizza. It was probably 2 pounds of sauce 1lb of seitan and 1lb of cheese/dough. It was a monster. I mean it WAS pretty good in terms of taste but I definitely felt a wee bit sick a few hours later after only eaten 1/2 the pie. There are a lot of options, however, so maybe I just picked the wrong meal.

Yelp
The food is wonderful here. The staff was kind and the place was clean (they even wiped down our already clean table when I got there since I had little ones with me). The best thing by far was the macaroni. It is soooooooo yummy. My babies ate their bowl in like 2 minutes! The burgers are also really tasty. The plates might be a bit of a learned taste, id recommend starting with a sandwich of sorts and the macaroni for sure! It's also family friendly - they have high chairs. Tip - Order dessert when you first arrive as it can take a while. Disagree with comments saying it's dirty, In a sketchy area, rude staff etc. Its a quaint small business. Felt welcome and comfortable the whole time.

Yelp
After reading the description, I was excited to experience the food in this menu. I ordered the Fremont Philly and Homeade Gourmet Greens. Unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed. The texture of the Seitan within the roll was that of soaked bread inside of a roll. The flavors were unremarkable and the onions and peppers were sparse. The Homeade Greens were surprisingly bland and had an odd taste and aroma that was very unpleasant. We tried two spoonfuls and gave up in the same way we abandoned the Philly. I must admit that I am somewhat spoiled by the quality and variety of vegan fare I can regularly find in Portland. However, I cannot in good conscience recommend this to anyone.

Yelp
The absolute best vegan fast food in town. The chili cheese burger and chili cheese fries were tasty and offensively good. The Mac and cheese was lightly baked to perfection with the right amount of cheesiness and crisp. The philiy cheese was also awesome! Word of warning one can easily get overwhelmed with the side of fries that comes with each dish.

Yelp
Everything was amazing and well worth the drive to visit. We didn't even get a chance to take a picture of the other sandwich because of how fast it was devoured!
