Quickies Burgers and Fries

We been wanting to try the food here we came by on a Sunday & they were closed. We called today to make sure they were open after reading Google Reviews. I called & Mrs. Beth answered the phone. I asked if they were open today she answered yes until 8 pm. I told her we were on our way. Thirty minutes later we arrived, we met Mrs. Beth & the cook Mr. Aundo very nice & friendly people. I am really big on cleanliness, the establishment was very clean everything neat & in order just how I like it. We placed our order which was bacon double cheeseburger combo with onion rings, & chocolate shakes. Mrs. Beth made our shakes I added whipped cream to mine, it was so delicious. We took our food home it was too windy & cold to sit outside at the tables & eat. I asked for extra mayonnaise on my cheeseburger which Mr. Aundo prepared EXACTLY how I requested. The cheeseburger was fantastic, made fresh to order. The onion rings were tasty, I was very impressed & satisfied. It was worth the 25 minute drive, I can't wait until the next time we go I want to try the Butterscotch shake. I recommend this Restaurant go & support this small business. This restaurant also offers books for kids. Please go visit Mrs. Beth & Mr. Aundo you won't regret it.

First, the lady was really nice at counter so, service was good. Fries and onion rings were not bad. Typical. But the burger was small. And I ordered the rock so, not sure this was even right. Never had the rock. This had one patty, some onions, mushroom and cheese. And for a burger that small with fries and onion rings for $22.66? Well, it just felt like I could have done better elsewhere. The burger was good, but not 11 bucks good. Being the size of a double cheese burger as seen in photo. But it was still good.

Nice place to get a bite quick they offer a variety of food. Shakes drinks. They offer kids a free book when you come in which is encouraging to help kids read. Definitely if you have time check this place out. I only gave it four stars because the food was OK but the customer service was good friendly. Not a very good neighborhood, but if you’re used to the city, this is a good place to check out. Some of the old employees that was at the restaurant years ago came back to work at the new restaurant.

This was such a spur of the moment decision ( no one wanted to cook), but I'm glad we stopped in the ladies behind the counter. They were terrific, and the food was spot on! Just what we had an itch for. Two cheeseburger baskets, rings and fries, and a side order of popers. Delicious 😋. We definitely will be back. Quickies is located where the old Eatons was but wow, the new owner has done an amazing job of transforming the place and it's a cute little 💎 offering up Delicious food. Don't hesitate to stop in, you will not be disappointed.

Friendly, greeted us right as we walked in. Seating is outside on benches. You must try the quickie sauce, amazing. The burgers are old fashioned greasy burgers. 100% delicious. Fries are seasoned and crispy the onion rings were amazing.

3/31/25 Stopped in for lunch. Was decent. Burger: not sure if pink in the middle is normal? But it seems ok. Tots: wasn't over cooked or too crispy. I prepared that. Was good. Had to get a shirt for my wife. Well worth the visit.

Awesome burger joint! Even better customer service! (We didn't realize they close at 7pm and walked in around 645 and ordered 2 meals. They didn't hesitate and served us with kindness and really tasty food.) We will definitely be back! 😋 🤩🤗👍

A true American gem. Our truck was being serviced across the street and this place was right on time. Everything is made fresh to order which I never mind a wait for. The first day we had the philly steak and fries, it was really good. The french fry magic is everything. The next morning we had the turkey and cheese breakfast sandwich on Texas toast with hash browns, loved that the turkey was thick sliced still wondering how it was cooked so perfect. The young man taking orders was very professional, friendly, memorable the first night we placed a order, then the next morning we met Ms. Beth with the warmest happy greeting and it all made sense the love that she has is forever present in the restaurant from the food to employees.

Excellent, best onion rings, but also burgers and a great Scimeca's Italian Beef. Reasonable prices and a very friendly owner who wanted in the picture when she saw me taking a pic for Facebook. Very cool place, if I still lived over here I would probably be in weekly.

Love thereTheir chili cheese fries and tots. Love that They're doing breakfast. Have had the hash Browns with the biscuits and gravy and had a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich. All great, glad they're right down the street. Always friendly

Called in order and picked up 15 minutes as instructed. Ordered 1- Fish Combo with tots 1- Shrimp Combo with tots $35.00 and the tots, shrimp, and fish patty were cooked way too long . They were greasy on the inside , hard on the outer. The meat on the fish had shrunk from the over cooking or old grease being used, not sure which . This is my second time ordering this same order. My first time experience wasn't too horrible just wasn't my order and unfortunately I did not check bags before my departure. Arrived home with 2 Double Cheeseburger Baskets !! I understand errors occur, that's why I went back a second time. Now mind you, wasn't busy or short staffed on either occasions. I think the owner is rude and brassy , and that would be acceptable if the food was up to par. I will not go again. I was trying to give her the business rather than Paul Jrs but they are cheaper and food if much more pleasant. Sorry but need to update your menu online as well because the prices aren't the same when you go to pay for your order!!

The chili has gotten a lot better. The chili fries are a pound with chili, the burgers are pretty good. I want to try the chili cheese dog but there always out of buns 3rd time I tried settled for sonics. Service is always great hands down! The place is small but has out door seat for summer time . If you try the chili cheese dog before I do let me know what you think please!!

I have a great tenderloin sandwich. It's large nice crunch. I love the combo. it was fast, piping, hot, and great taste.

Any time I'm in the area I've got to stop here. It's hard to decide which sandwich to get I've had several and they're all pretty good. The staff is always welcoming and ready to take your order. Always good vibes here and if the weathers nice you can grab a table outside and enjoy yourself.

Old school style burger joint with quick and extremely friendly service, the ladies working at the front were so kind and funny. Great burgers and i loved the onion rings as well. Fair prices and good portions.

I saw a pop up add on FB for KC's newest and best burger stand. So being the trusting and gullible bloke that I am, I drove a few miles out of my way before work to try them out. The burger itself was absolutely 100% mediocre. Nothing special as neither were the fries. While I can forgive an average fastfood lunch, I can't forgive the lazy, rude staff. Six women and everyone was standing or sitting around talking and complaining about a customer who's order they had screwed up. When I had to interrupt a conversation to place my order, I should have been smart enough to leave then. Only 2 were wearing their masks properly and they place has zero charm and tons of clutter. Never again.

Quickie's is a great hole-in-the-wall burger joint. It's almost as good as it's former counter-part, Eaton's which occupied its space for many, many years. The burgers and shakes are soooo good and the onion rings, omgudness are deliciousness to the highest level! I hear the philly cheese steaks and tenderloins are just as good. There's nothing like good-old-fashioned food and Quickie's is worth the trip...one side note...don't let the name fool you. It may take you a bit to get your food, but baaaaby, it's love at first bite! Oh and Kudos to the grillmaster/cook. He's fire!

It's wonderful to find a spot like this with great food and fun, friendly service. Daily specials all look great. I had the Italian Steak combo with onion rings. It was very good. They even topped off my soda before I left with my order. I'll stop again when I'm in the area. Thanks!

What a phenomenal little old-school drive-in! It has everything that you could love about such an old-school joint - burgers, dogs, fried sides, and shakes. The service was so great and it was incredible how quickly I got my food. The combos come with fries, tots, or onion rings and a drink (Pepsi products) but you can upgrade to a shake for $3.75. The shake options are vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, and butterscotch. Shakes are fantastic. The tenderloin has such a fantastic country seasoning blend and is so tender and well-breaded. I love the smear of horseradish. The patty melt is one of the best I've ever had. The bread is perfectly griddled with bacon, grilled onions, and melty Swiss Cheese. Whatever you do, get the Quickie's Sauce. The smoky bbq aioli goes with everything!

The food is always good and great quality prices for what you do order. I love the workers cause they all are nice and very polite every time I come in to order food. The place is always clean and looks good.

It is a good old fashion neighborhood burger drive in. My wife had the bacon cheeseburger and onion rings and the were very good. I had the double cheeseburger and rings and both were very healthy portions. The onion rings looked and tasted hand dipped. We also had the chili cheese fries, those are a meal in itself. If you did not know it was there, but if you are at 10th & Kansas Ave it is worth stopping by. If you are looking for good food and friendly service it is worth a stop.

I think I will try and go back again soon to try a Burger because I may have ordered the wrong thing. I went at an odd time, like 3pm on a Monday so I may have also caught them off guard. I ordered the Italian steak sandwich and fries because it was on special. The sandwich was fine but a little on the messy side and it really didn't wow me with flavor. The real kicker though was the fries were just totally soggy, not a great experience. But Like I said, I will give them another try soon and hopefully update with a better review.

Stopped in to this little hole in the wall place with a few coworkers. We were immediately greeted by a top notch and super polite staff. We had the daily special which was the Blackened Cajun Burger with fries. Everything is made fresh to order so you may have to wait a bit longer than your typical fast food place. The Cajun burger seems to be a smash style burger with more flavor than you could imagine. BLOWS all the chains and burger places out of the water. Burger was so excellent we all had to come back the next day! Couldn't recommend this place more. BEST burger in the city!!! The ladies who work there are the best as well. Greet you on the way in and make sure you're thanked for your business on the way out! QUICKIES BURGERS AND FRIES, QUICKIES BURGERS AND FRIES!

New owner. Very nice woman. I got the tenderloin. It was very good. Cooked perfect. Bun was just right. I had the tater tots and they were good also. I plan on going back and try the hamburgers and the fried shrimp. This is as good as Dagwood used to be. And I'd say about a coin toss between here and Christy's (sp?)

Me and my husband have been meaning to stop here for the longest time and today we finally did! We were not disappointed! We ordered the Cajun burger, chili cheese dog, fried mushrooms, and chocolate malt. The chili has beans! Which is the way it should be lol and everything was nice fresh hot and flavorful. The malt was - ok. We will definitely be coming back to try more of their menu.

Honestly the best burger I've had in the KC area so far. Got the bacon cheeseburger on special for only 9.95 with fries and a drink. The fried mushrooms are also delicious. Great place to go for a burger and fries and will for sure be back.

Wow, great find! New ownership Dec 2020. The place was clean. You order inside and take food outside to eat or in your car. You also can order ahead and pull up to the window to pick up. We had a double cheeseburger & onion rings and child's cheeseburger and fries. Plus a strawberry milkshake. Staff was super friendly. Everything was great! They are open until 8pm during the week and Sunday close at 6pm. We will be back to try more menu items.

I had a double with cheese, tots and a strawberry shake! Best burger I have had in some time. Fresh tomatoes, lettuce and onions and the fresh ground beef was hot and seasoned perfect. Strawberry shake is spot on !

A cute old style drive up! Food is fresh and tastes! Best onion rings I've had in years! They are the old style! Staff is friendly and helpful. They participate in door dash and Uber eats! Definitely worth the trip!!!

Second visit, wrong order again. Ordered burger with no so called Quikie sauce. Burger came smothered in the stuff. My friend ordered a double cheeseburger. Got one patty of meat. Too much standing around and yakking by the staff to pay attention to the customers order. Won't be visiting this place anymore. If you do, pay attention to your order...it's probably wrong.

I remember this location when I was growing up prior to the new ownership. I was in the area and decide to stop and try it out . I have to say the double cheese burger and tots hit the spot !! Fresh food , clean restaurant and friendly staff !! I stopped here on my way to town topic , but now looks like this will be my new go to when in Kck.

This place has the Burgers in town by far and well worth the wait! I got the double with tatter tots with a Pepsi. They are super friendly and everything is just like I remember growing up!

Seeing a new burger place, my family & I wanted to give it a try. Big mistake. When we entered, we were looked up and down and were greeted by rude staff. Most of them were not wearing masks properly and were huddled up talking within themselves. The burgers were fine but not worth the $12 each. Place is a mess, would not go again.

They charge a fee for using debit or credit card and try to play it off when you ask about it, claiming "everyone does". Staff is rude, no one wears a mask, and it's basically family hanging out talking and cooking. Mess of a place honestly -- Won't be going back.

I feel like I went back in time! I got Tuesday's special, Pork Tenderloin with fries. Tastes like food the way it used to be before the proliferation of fast-food chains. The tenderloin is a real piece of meat, lightly breaded, and fried to perfection. The fries are obviously from real, fresh potatoes. The best part is my sandwich was packed with a cup of extra mayo! The only sad thing is I can't possibly eat it all in one sitting. Extra-friendly staff very eager to please. You knocked it out of the park, Quickie's!!!

If you are driving on I-70 or are local, stop by this place if you are craving a good burger. Very good and great service. You cannot beat the old school atmosphere.

Rude young man at the register. Last week, they messed up my phone order. Evidently, the young man at the register forgot to place my order with the cooks. He tried denying I even called until another working found my order scribbled on a different work pad. I gave them a second chance. They messed up my order by phone again. Somehow, the young man running the register got my order of "no onion" confused with "noon" as my pick up time. This is after I alerted them by phone that they messed up my order the week before. After realizing they messed up my order, they made absolutely no effort to rectify their second mistake. They served up 10 hamburgers while I was waiting that were obviously ordered way I had ordered mine. I left and went down the street two blocks at McDonald's. I ended up getting much better service at McDonald's for a lot less money. And that is saying a lot.

Food is terrible, had Italian steak sandwich and cheese burger. Italian steak sandwich is plain with cheese and dab of sauce which is not even slightly like italian sauce should be like, no lettuce or pickle. Cheese burger bare essentials forgot pickles buts tons of bun. French fries are soggy but onion rings are surprisingly good. Oh and should you use your bank card expect a cc charge 3 to 5% . Really! Who carries cash nowadays!

This place has the best burger in KC hands down. I've been a couple times and recommend it to all my friends and coworkers. The staff is super friendly and the prices can't be beat. The owner is usually in and is a really cool dude. If you haven't tried it yet you're missing out and you absolutely have to get the quickies sauce

Simply because the customer service was AMAZING! My food was fresh I got a Buffalo chicken sandwich combo and a double cheeseburger combo. As I waited they gave me great conversation and refilled my drink and kept me entertained as I waited for my food. One of the cooks even asked if I wanted extra Buffalo sauce on the side! (No fast food restaurant would do this with out adding that extra .25 or .75 cents to the bill) I definitely will be back 20 times plus!!

Had the best hot dogs we have ever had ! Chicago Dog is excellent and my all time favorite! Firecracker dog right up there with it! Even the sodas are good! What a find !

The service was great and the place was clean . Friendly people . Just the burgers has no seasoning, the fries were cooked in old grease as well as the onion rings. And they gave out small portions .
