Food was amazing. Vegetable forward courses but each one flavor packed. Fun and refreshing cocktails. Blackberry mead was another wonderful drink. Staff and head chef were preparing the courses in the open kitchen. They were knowledgeable about each dish and the ingredients. Restaurant was full but not loud, easy to hold a conversation to discuss our favorite dishes. The cauliflower course was hands down my favorite. I am at a loss for words, just get it! Pickled green mango,Yum.

Really beautiful experience. Definitely put this on your list to try. Beautiful setting with very creative dishes. 12 dish tasting menu was perfect. The cauliflower dish was outstanding. Bravo.

My wife and I genuinely savored every bite of our meal. The food wasn’t just good—it was thought-provoking. Flavors hit with a mix of something entirely fresh yet oddly familiar, stirring up childhood memories in the most unexpected way. Every dish was perfectly balanced—no single ingredient tried to outshine the others. The pumpkin cracker and cheese was clever, but the black garlic cauliflower? That dish didn’t just steal the show—it owned it. The tasting menu wasn’t just a meal—it was a conversation, and that’s where its true value lay. Sure, the high-quality ingredients were undeniable, but the real magic was in the experience it created. My wife and I found ourselves immersed in a shared moment, one that was absolutely worth every bite.

An amazing culinary experience in Antigua Guatemala. It was superb in every aspect. Service was on point. The food was beautiful, interesting and delicious. The ambiance is great, and the wine we had was incredible. My favorite dish was the crispy coliflower with caramel sauce. Thank you!!!

We were not fans of the foods. Pretty much every dish was very vegetable focused but we felt the flavors were not balanced. Way too sour, acidic, salty, etc. It was a unique expirence and the dishes were beautiful but at a certain point we just didn’t want to eat them anymore. The meat dishes and desert were generally good, the fruit and opening bite were nice too

Culinary Journey in Antigua Guatemala If you find yourself in Antigua Guatemala and are looking for a unique food experience, Quiltro is a must-visit! This restaurant offers a top delightful sampler cuisine that takes you on a culinary journey like no other. I had the pleasure of trying their 10-course tasting menu, and each dish was a masterpiece. From the innovative Ichintal vegan cheese with pumpkin to the flavorful beef with chaya, every bite was an explosion of taste and creativity. The shrimp with pineapple and chorizo was a standout, as was the cucumber yogurt with mango, which was refreshing and delicious. One of the highlights was the watermelon and zucchini paired with passion fruit – a perfect balance of sweet and savory. The vegetables with Talente honey and the cauliflower with black garlic were exceptional, offering unique flavors that were both surprising and satisfying. The meal concluded with a delightful beer ice cream with pomelo, a refreshing and unique dessert that left a lasting impression. The ambiance at Quiltro is cozy and inviting, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. Whether you're a foodie or just looking to try something new, Quiltro provides an unforgettable dining experience in the heart of Antigua.

The only gastronomic restaurant in Antigua, and it’s a well-kept secret. We chose the 12-course tasting menu with wine pairings and were very happy. The prices are appropriate for the quality of the food. The chef has an impressive pedigree from several of the world’s best restaurants. He offers creative twists on local dishes with local ingredients, making this more Guatemalan than many of the restaurants you find in Antigua. The restaurant is tiny — we were only two tables on a Wednesday night. Apparently if you want to see the chef your best bets are Friday and Saturday nights. Enjoy!

I was extremely excited to eat here, so it pains me to leave a two-star review for this restaurant. While the service and atmosphere were both incredible, the food left a lot to be desired. My partner and I both ordered the ten course tasting menu. Before Quiltro, he had never had a prix fixe menu, and I’d had several across the world (Japan, Southwest Virginia, Prague, etc). We liked the Shrimp and Pineapple, and loved the Cauliflower with Caramelized Milk. Everything else was either unexciting, or highly focused on one bold flavor. I appreciate a bold dish, but I expect bigger flavors to dance with others that are more subtle. Unfortunately, that wasn’t what we experienced. They were often overpowering, sometimes to the point that we didn’t even finish the full dish. I honestly felt guilty that this was my partners first prix fixe experience. The chef/menu has a solid creative foundation, but the majority of the dishes need work to be considered complex, thought-provoking, or exciting.
