QUIMERA RESTAURANT

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Quimera at north peak of Formentera. The terrace tables are wonderful next to a pond formed by semi-enclosed sea area. Food is very good though a tiny bit expensive as this comes short of high end dining.

Quimera, located in La Savina right on the coast of the inner harbor, offers a stunning combination of modern decor and culinary innovation. With its sleek, contemporary style, the restaurant presents a refreshing twist both in its atmosphere and its dishes. We were fortunate to enjoy a company dinner with around 20 attendees, and the outdoor seating with a picturesque view of the harbor made the experience even more special. The variety of dishes we tried was impressive, and everything was prepared with care and attention to detail. The standout dishes for us were the tomato tartare, made with fresh local tomatoes, which was incredibly flavorful and refreshing, and the braised eggplant paired with creamy burrata – a perfect balance of textures and tastes. Another highlight was the scallops, which were cooked perfectly, and the chicken cannelloni with reduction, which was rich, hearty, and packed with flavor. The service was excellent, with attentive staff ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the evening. The combination of beautiful harbor views, sophisticated dishes, and a relaxed yet upscale vibe makes Quimera a perfect choice for both casual dining and special occasions. Overall, Quimera is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience modern cuisine with a local touch in a stunning coastal setting. Highly recommended!

Highly recommended restaurant! The location is great, just a few steps by the water, and with a great view from the terrace. The service was precise and fast. We are Italian and the staff spoke a perfect Italian with us. What about the food? This is the best thing about the restaurant. The menu has a good variety including an interesting tasting menu and some gourmet options - always keeping Formentera cuisine as baseline. Last but not least, prices are ok (not easy to find a restaurant that it is not overpriced in Formentera). Quimera has reasonable prices! We’ll come back for sure.

One of the best dinners I’ve ever had. Amazing quality of the products. Incredibly polite and well prepared staff, chef with passion and exceptional taste. Every meal presented extraordinarily, described by the waiter. Really, overall experience was great! I’m speechless!

This place is great, very nice location right in front of the sea, you will have the feeling of a private table because the balcony is divided in different lodges. The staff is amazing, they are careful and knowledgeable, they also speaks different languages. The selection of wine is wide and well made, also the food is very special, I would mention just one dish that surprised me, it was like a Tartare made with different kind of tomatoes, but all the dishes we had were amazing. I wish to stay longer in Formentera to have more dinners here...very much recommended.

Best restaurant on Formentera Island! Excellent food and service! We have been twice and are already planning to return! On top of great meals and service, the views are excellent!

Extremely slow, even for ready made ice creams they took ages. Incredibly limited menu. Won’t be coming back
